The Creative Command Of The Word

The  Creative  Command  Of  The  Word

Martin Cecil   August 6, 1979   Assembly

The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof. Presumably there's a larger awareness of what the fulness is. There is a very great deal declared to us by the forms which we may observe round about, so that it is easy to reawaken to the Lord, the Owner, to the essences that are present and permeating all that is observable in form, and permeating much more that is not observable in form. We rejoice in the beauty of creation, the natural rhythms and music of creation, but we rejoice even more in the Creator. None of these observable things would be possible or exist except for the Creator.

Because our delight is in the Lord our delight is in the essences of creative action. Our natural experience is defined by the words “I and my Father are One.” We are, in truth, not separated at all from the creative action. That creative action has been described by the Word, the Word that is God, the Word that is with God, the Word by which all things are. Our responsibility in this moment is a creative one in this sense. We do not merely look at the creation which comes within the range of our observation as though we were merely an observer. This has been the attitude that has tended to be taken by the human mind. It sets itself apart from everything that is going on and takes the position of observer, when the human mind is a part of what's going on. It only deludes itself if it tries to set itself apart as an observer so that the observations become delusions.

Creator and creation are One. We share in the creative process. We are aware of what occurs by reason of that process because we are not separate from the occurrence. If we speak of Creator and creation it always seems to the human mind to be two things. The fact of the matter is that neither one exists without the other, and so there is a close experience of Oneness, which at the same time is wholeness. Creation separate from the Creator is not whole. Creator separate from the creation is not whole. In ourselves we find a dual experience in this sense, of Creator and creation, but it is this that allows for the experience of oneness and fulness. “I and my Father are One.” I am.

When the Master was speaking to Nicodemus he was conveying something to that rather restricted consciousness—not uncommon of course in human experience—but there was evidently very little comprehension of what it was that was being offered. Because of the restrictions in consciousness it was being interpreted in a way that made it more or less senseless. This is done by human minds: something which is easily understood is rendered senseless by the manipulative interpretations of the human mind. Nicodemus more or less admitted that he didn't understand what was being said although he sensed that there was something being said.

The Master's words, as they are recorded here, are contained in the third chapter of John, the tenth and eleventh verses: “Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel and knowest not these things? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.” In this instance Nicodemus was receiving the witness; he was not understanding or comprehending what was being offered, not on a deliberate basis. Presumably he came to the Master in order to gain understanding but he was in no position to receive it because of his restricted and structured state of consciousness, very largely because it was imbedded in the Jewish tradition but also because it was merely human nature consciousness.

Our concern is to “Speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen.” We can't do that unless we know and have seen. “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”—a nice expectation; many people diligently try to find out what the truth is, ignoring what went before that statement concerning continuing in the Word. “If ye continue in my word” then this will be the experience. We know the truth on that basis. We see clearly enough, surely, the futility of trying to extract the truth from reading the literature of mankind. Why? Well it isn't there. Great sounding words sometimes.

We know the truth because we continue in the Word. To continue in the Word indicates an appreciation of the Word, to the extent that we now hear it, and because of that appreciation we stay with it. We do not separate ourselves from it in our living. We do not revert into this state where memory is lost once more. The Word, the Tone, is sounding. We have been provided with a very particular connection to that sounding—we have that connection already present with us—and it is then in our speaking, in our acting, in our thinking, in our feeling, that we experience the reality of that Tone.

We continue in the Word. This is the same as saying, “We abide in His name,” but if we know what that statement means we can't just mouth the prayer, and then add a little passage at the end to make it effective: “In His name we ask it.” When we are in His name we do some asking all right: something along the lines of, “I will demand of thee, and answer thou me.” Everything that is brought to us, is to be put to the question. It is on the basis of this question that an answer will be offered to us. According to that answer so will the effect be.

Here we begin to see the reality of the creative command, which is immediately present with all circumstances as soon as there is One present who issues the command, which is the asking of a question. That was a command that the Lord asked of Adam and Eve—“Where art thou?”—thought of as a question, but it was really a command. The wrong answer was given but the command had been issued so the effect of the wrong answer was reflected upon those who gave it. The Lord always provides, in the creative process, a question which may be answered one of two ways: basically, Yes or No. He's not imposing anything on anyone; He simply asks the question. Let the answer be given. And according as the answer is given so do the results appear.

Because human beings are accustomed to giving the wrong answer the results that appear are not so pleasing, and so it seems advisable to complain about it to start with, and try to change it thereafter, try to make it more acceptable. Now everybody is at least two steps away from the original question. They've forgotten the original question and the answer that was given. But now that the results have come, “How are we going to handle this?” And so the means of salvation is blotted out of consciousness.

Everybody is now busy trying to deal with the result of the wrong answer. Well nobody had to give the wrong answer—it was human choice, and along the way we have participated in that choice. But now we have begun to back up sufficiently to begin to re-hear the question, so that we stop struggling with the effects of giving the wrong answer and come back to the point where we can hear the question again. Maybe we can give the right answer this time. If we give the right answer then the effects are according to that answer.

But you can easily see that the Lord doesn't impose anything on anyone. It's all based in a question. And fundamentally, if we are one in this creative process, our attitude is summarized in this matter of posing the question. Emissaries have not really seen this for the most part so that they have assumed that a creative command would be imposing something. Fundamentally it is, “You give me the answer, and I will abide by your answer.” There are those who just give the wrong answer and that's that. All right, that's up to them.

But our concern is primarily with those who may seem to give the wrong answer, but we don't take it at face value because there is a sensing of something back of that answer. In other words the answer that is given, while it may seem very assured at the moment is recognized as being quite thin, and there is something present in that person which is capable of giving the right answer. There are those who give the apparent right answer, who are really giving the wrong answer. We need to be able to discern that too.

But my interest is to emphasize the point that, participating in the creative process, we issue the creative command. The creative command is “Answer thou me.” We leave it up to people to give the answer; we're not going to impose the answer upon them. We know that according to the answer so will the effects be in their experience, but they must give the answer. It is a creative command because the results will inevitably appear according to the answer that is given. There's no question about that. We don't have to dig up some great spiritual power somewhere and zap people with a creative command. People zap themselves according to the answer that they give to the creative command, but there must be someone on hand who is capable of giving the creative command, which fundamentally is “Answer thou me.”

In order for a person to hear that command, “Answer thou me,” the right answer must be clearly in evidence in one's own expression. We're not wading into the world in some fashion—it wouldn't be possible anyway in this way—and demanding answers to a question when there is no provision at all as to what the right answer might be. We must reveal what the right answer is so that everyone is left without excuse in giving whatever answer they do give. People tend to be very blind, even when the truth is standing right in front of them, as the truth was standing right in front of Pilot for instance, long ago. They still say, “What is truth?” They're dumb and blind and stupid. That’s human nature all over. It thinks of itself as being so clever. However those who are awakening are the ones to whom the question is particularly posed. We're in no position to go out into the world in general and pose the question “Answer thou me.” How would we do it yet? There are ways by which we are enabled to issue this command increasingly and we need to develop these ways by which the command may be issued.

The command is issued because we speak the Word, because in our living the Word is present and in action—the Tone is sounding. The Tone is sounding so that those who have ears to hear can hear it. As we have seen, there is the need to amplify that Tone because it is being sounded in the lives of those concerned more totally and also because there are more sounding it in their lives. Then it becomes louder and people begin to hear the last trump. That's what it has been called. It needs to become a mighty blast which people on earth can't avoid hearing. It isn't that yet, obviously. People are still wallowing in their human nature, with their ears stopped with mud, chiefly with raucous sound.

So if we are to speak what we know we can only do it to the extent that we continue in the Word. And we speak also what we have seen because there is Light. The essential Light must be present which makes it possible for others to see, at least see when they're in our vicinity. If a person begins to see while they're in our vicinity and then loses the vision going out he may remember that he saw when he was in your vicinity and come back in order to see again. Perhaps this time he'll stay long enough for you to convey the understanding that in order for him to see, no matter where he is, his own Light must illuminate the area of observation so that, go where he will the Light goes with him. Now we can't force people to hear and see but we can provide the means by which they may hear and see, if they have ears to hear and eyes to see. The brighter the Light that is shining the more likely a person is to see.

Now you'll note that there was knowing and seeing mentioned here, relating to the Word and the Light, and you recognize that this is initiating a creative cycle, isn't it? “And God said”—the Word—“let there be light.” This relates to our responsibility for the initiation of creative cycles in our living in this fashion. Of course the creative cycle doesn't stop there but it must begin there to go anywhere else. And so we are concerned with this particular pulsation in the creative cycles which is summarized by knowing and seeing, but the knowing and seeing now applies to us. We speak that we do know and testify that we have seen. The testifying is in our living—the light shines round about. The light is consequent upon our living.

So we share this responsibility in the creative process. These creative processes relate to essences. We ourselves become increasingly alert to essences and less concerned with forms. Generally speaking with those who are beginning to awaken there is the necessity of providing certain forms for them to look at so that they may awaken some more to the fact that there are some essences behind those forms. But once there begins to be an awareness of the essences we don't need the forms to tell us of the essences.

Now it may be intriguing and interesting to examine forms. There is something more to the earth than is usually supposed. Here is a living form. If it's a living form then there is life associated, and here we begin to touch the essence which is of primary importance to us. The earth may be said to be a living form in its own right but it is also a part of a larger living form, and it has life in its own right because it is part of a larger living form. That larger living form we could say is the solar system, but then the solar system itself is part of something larger still, and the life of the solar system is not an isolated phenomena but is there because of the fact of life in the larger form. We could refer to that as the galaxy, and so we go. There are constantly larger forms in which life is, and the life of the smaller entities emerge out of the life of the larger, to some extent at least—and the life that is manifesting through me, that comes from God.

Well of course that still indicates the state of separation in our own consciousness; and we are inclined to think of our expression of life in terms of the individual state first, when actually the expression of life in terms of the individual state, what we now experience individually, is the last experience of life. It's the most peripheral aspect of it. The Father and I are One. In other words there's something much bigger and our life individually speaking is not separate from that much bigger manifestation of life, so that our consciousness begins to change from this little narrow restricted individual thing here to an awareness of something vast. That something vast is summarized by the words, “My Father and I are One.” There's no separation from that vastness. There is no way by which the human mind could encompass that vastness—it can't encompass life anyway.

But here is Life—here is God. Life is an aspect of the character of God, and God is not restricted either to the earth or to our little individual forms. We know this in theory but we still tend to have a very restricted outlook individually speaking. We rightly step back—we have to step back quite a ways to sense our Oneness with the statement, “I and my Father are One.” This was a statement made by Jesus—we recognize, here, the Son of God or the Focus of Deity, relative to this whole world, including the earth. There's a largeness and our experience as Sons and Daughters of God is contained in that largeness. We can't lift ourselves out of that largeness as an individual and plunk ourselves down here and say now, “I'm going to do something.” I of myself can do nothing. Anything we can do we do only because of that largeness. We do not necessarily have to go any further back than the largeness of life which relates to this earth because our responsibility collectively is here. But we need to have a consciousness of this so that we are not restricted in our outlook to the little slice of the pie for which we seem to be personally responsible. We don’t think of it as a slice of the pie—here we are with our slice, we'll take care of this as individuals. No! There's a pie to be taken care of and we do not in fact slice it up. It is one pie, and it needs to be left as one pie. Here is Oneness and Wholeness again.

So we begin to share in a consciousness which is capable of encompassing the pie, and we do not extract ourselves from that consciousness and say, “Well all I'm capable of is just encompassing this little slice I have here.” You don't have it here in actual fact unless you are aware of the whole pie. Our individual fields of responsibility are not separate from the whole pie. We can't cut them out from the whole pie, and we can't isolate ourselves therefore in handling our responsibilities as there has tended to be an inclination to do when someone has accepted what they deemed to be a spiritual responsibility in the Emissary ministry.

In the statement, “I and my Father are One”, we are proclaiming that we are One. We participate in one wholeness of consciousness and it will come to focus in specific action relative to each one, but what comes to focus in the action, in the word that is spoken, in the thought that is moving through the mind, and the feeling that is moving through the heart, this springs from the whole. It isn't an individual thing and we need to have this awareness. You cannot function as an isolated entity. “I and my Father are One.” The human mind can't grasp this. Of course not! It wasn't intended to grasp it. It has no business trying to grasp it. All it does is to get itself into a state of utter confusion by trying to grasp it. That is why there has been so much confusion and contradiction and argument and conflict—trying to grasp all this and get it down to where they could see what it was with their minds.

We need to get away from the idea that we only understand something because we've grasped it with our minds. That’s when we lose understanding, that's when we squeeze out the understanding. When we grasp something we squeeze all the truth out of it. Here is a flow, here is a movement. It must clear at the Core if it's going to clear beyond. There is something moving.

If there is movement in the current of the spirit, the expression of the Word, obviously a love of doing what is being done with a minimum of prior structures to encase it, then there is a natural pouring forth, and this will carry the current of the spirit. We are not separate from our world. Creator and creation are One. Therefore, logically, you could see that if you create something as the expression of the Word, and Creator and creation are One, then what you created carries that Word—so that that goes wherever it goes. Do you not think that that will have an effect? If it is a true creation it will. That carries something forth.

If we see this with respect to what is now beginning to move with increasing intensity, then obviously if we are concerned with this creative process we will welcome that movement—and however we can open ourselves to let it be enhanced, and to pour forth in greater abundance—and we'll stop having structured views as though it's a little thing on the side that isn't really that important. The main business is to allow the flow of the creative spirit of the living God to reach wherever it will go. And there are ways by which this may be done which most of us haven't even thought of yet; and if we try to box it into little structures we're defeated right from the start.

I'm sure that we're all very much aware that there are restrictions in our own individual states of consciousness. There are restrictions therefor in our whole program. We're not saying that there's anything wrong that these restrictions are there. We need to accept the fact of them, but let us for heaven's sake not sit down and say “Well now we know what is required,” when it hasn't even been glimpsed yet. We do things in order to allow the expansion to occur, opening up a means of release for the creative spirit of the living God, for the Word to begin to resound on earth by this means—and there is something which connects right through to the Core, and in this way the world is transformed. In every field it is so. In order for this to happen there needs to be an outpouring of the spirit; an outpouring out of the Word, the outpouring of Life. “I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.” Basically this is the reason that I am come—and who are you? So there is something to pour forth.

There needs to be a symbol in the Core, and there needs to be something back of that of course. We have what now is called the Supreme Council, which is a very little thing, which serves the purpose now. I'm sure that there will be much more to what we might call the Supreme Council than is now in evidence and we will see what emerges on the basis of the movement of the spirit.

But anything that is done is designed to initiate these creative cycles, so that we speak that we do know and testify that we have seen. That needs to emerge out of the Core of things and be differentiated through the facility which is available, dealing with the essences which are moving out. This doesn't mean that there's a scattering abroad and everybody gets isolated out somewhere doing their thing. No. My Father and I are One. There's a whole, there's one thing. But it seems to take a little time for human consciousness to be in position to allow this understanding to be experienced—to flow through. When it is then we begin to be in position to reach out. There needs to be a movement out to where the action is.

There is a close-in outpouring of the spirit, but it doesn't stop there. It needs to move on out and there needs to be a means by which it can move on out—people who go out there and begin to assume responsibility, and if there is someone who is capable spiritually in any situation he will become the leader in that situation. If we have people fiddling around in their little world, just sitting there, there's something terribly wrong. It wouldn't be possible for a true emissary to be restricted in that fashion. The expansion would come.

A creative expression of spirit is expansive and the question is asked and an answer is given. And on the basis of the answers that are given things begin to move, but if we never ask the question because we are never in position to do so, well what use are we? A creative command needs to be spoken in the world and we're here to do it, to the glory of God.

We may have a consciousness of the fact that we have much greater stature than has yet been revealed. We need to be humble in that way. But something has happened, and in considering these things we need to see this in relationship to the overall picture and to many, many people. We provide a focus here that something may extend on out in blessing and creative action to many, posing the question to many. We rejoice in the creative action that immediately becomes possible when we know and see because we express the Word—continue in the Word, and let the Light shine. Then we find ourselves instantly living in a world we didn't know was there before.

The Ark—Holy Essences Preserved

The  Ark — Holy  Essences  Preserved

Davina Misroch   March 19, 2023   London, England

Today I’m going to be capturing essences. Here is a Tabernacle, a Holy Place. Here we stand in the Presence of the LORD to deliver His Word—to us, through us and beyond. “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” [1 Corinthians 2:9  KJV]

Here is the promise! How do I love the LORD? In the deep, quiet recesses of my heart there is a holy place, inviolate, yielded. Here, in that place, is Divine Control, true government of Spirit. If I examine this, I must ask: “Is it steadfast, is it stable, is it continual? Is it a whole or just a partial experience? Am I fully relinquishing my personal hold and assuming the stance of simple stewardship under His direction, letting the Father within do the works?” To the degree that there is total surrender in total trust to the LORD, to that extent my creative field, my world, the responding ones everywhere are returned to Him.

The Holy Place is to be kept inviolate. There must be enough generation of spiritual substance to hold the Vibrational Hedge of the Holy Place. Is it just a small place in the deep, quiet recesses of my heart that is pure and inviolate? How much space is there internally and externally for this Holy Place? To dwell “in the Secret Place of the Most High”, and to make “the LORD … the most High” … one’s “habitation”, as it is said in Psalm 91, takes an obedient mind and a pure heart, that holds the heavenly atmosphere in stability, consistency and balance.

In the Book of Genesis, the instruction was given to Noah: “Make thee an ark.” This initial ark related to an ark of survival so that not all of the human race would be wiped out. It was devoted to the survival of form. Later, a cycle was initiated at the time of Moses who built another ark, made of acacia wood gilded entirely with gold, called the Ark of the Covenant which was a symbol of the Israelites’ special relationship with God. This represented something else beyond survival so that there might be some meaning to survival, to the purpose of form.

The Ark of the Covenant in these times is one of restoration where the pure and holy essences are preserved, kept holy, sacred, inviolate, a space held safe, where the Design of Spirit is present. The emphasis is on essences rather than form, establishing and preserving essences so that an ark of preservation and of restoration may be a reality on earth. This Ark—the Ark of Restoration—is our responsibility.

How trustworthy am I in preserving this sacred space within myself for the Design of Spirit, holding it safe and never, never letting it be violated? No one can keep sacred this space in me except me. We all have equal responsibility in this. If there is a sacred place in us as individuals it is because we have preserved it, and its preservation is what is primary as we go about our daily affairs.

“Individually it is necessary that those who participate in the living formation of the ark should have this space present within themselves where no human nature structures of control may trespass. This is kept safe individually speaking. Only when it is kept safe individually speaking does it become possible to keep a larger space sacred collectively speaking.” “That essence of the ark is kept safe within ourselves as individuals or there is no ark.” [“The Preservation of Essences” Martin Cecil October 21, 1979]

The Tabernacle takes form around the Ark. The Ark must be present for the Tabernacle to be a reality. The Ark is the focus of spirit for what takes form, and we form the Ark of restoration to restore all things to the LORD.

The composition of this Ark is a living ark, it is composed of people. It includes those who are conscious and many who are not so conscious but are handling their responsibilities with uprightness: honour, integrity and honesty—all participating in the expression of the spirit of God at whatever level and in whatever way.

All are essential to the ark, even if they are completely unconscious of the reason why they are in the ark. Those who do see, who understand, or begin to, have the greater responsibility because they have the greater privilege of vision.

As we stay humble and appreciative for all those who reveal the qualities of the spirit of God at whatever level we extend encompassment. Through them there is a focus of the spirit of God in action. We can trust them. Can they trust us? Whatever they do is futile unless there is a focus of conscious understanding and doing. When there is that, then restoration is possible.

The invitation has been extended over decades to relinquish everything of the human world, to “Come out of her, my people.” [Revelation 18:4] The command has come again: Finish the Work! I respond strongly in spirit, but what about action? If I’m honest, I still note areas where I feel the pull of addictive behaviour to the hypnotic and intoxicating effect of the human nature world, the fallen state of man’s world. Some addictions are obvious, others more subtle. I caution myself to be watchful, alert. The stimulation of externals is everywhere, and it produces addictive behaviour. We have a deliberate choice as to whether we are to be subject to, whether we are to be governed by, external stimuli. To the extent that we are subject to such stimulation we remain in darkness and are governed by that over which we rightly have dominion.

Stability comes because we are centred in the stable spirit of God. To the extent of that centring, we do not lose our balance and we are not thrown by, or dependent on, any external events. Even if we stumble or occasionally “fall off our horse”, as Roger de Winton would say, we can get back on our horse, regain our centring in Spirit and find ourselves restored to equilibrium.

There must be a firm hand which says “No” to the addictive behaviour, “No” to the stimulation of externals, and, especially in these days, it definitely takes a certain amount of discipline to move towards the point of stability. The choice is ours:  we can either be addicted to human nature or to experience the truth—one or the other. We have that freedom of choice, but if we persist in choosing to sustain the addictions of human nature, the truth is rejected. To choose the truth we have to let go of the addiction, and no longer imagine we are free to indulge in it, no longer give way to it. We can’t have both.

It is not just a matter of hearing and seeing, merely being aware of what is going on and what needs to be done: the responsibility is the doing. It has no value unless we are doing it, and willingly. And, until we emerge out of our own state of addiction, our own subjection to the stimulation of externals so that it is no longer allowed to control, we cannot provide what is necessary for others to do likewise.

“There must be a willingness to participate in this true creative process which is not concerned to preserve the world at all, the world as it is now known, but is simply concerned to preserve a holy space in which the spirit of God may be present and in action through the essential spiritual substance.” [“The Preservation of Essences” Martin Cecil October 21, 1979] The choice is stark: As Martin has said: “Choose God or choose the absence of God. Choose the truth or choose a lie.” In choosing God, choosing the Kingdom, choosing the KING above all else, here is the Spirit of the Single Eye: my love, my passion. “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” [Matthew 6:22]

Here are some essential quotes from a service by Martin Exeter from March 27, 1983, titled “The World To Come”

“What sort of a gatekeeper are you for what enters your consciousness?” “Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked; that is the human state.” “Only with thine eyes”—not with your heart, not with your emotions. The very moment you become emotionally involved with these things you have allowed corruption to come into the holy place of your own consciousness.”

“Let the consciousness be kept holy, so that the heart is pure … welcome nothing else but the heavenly consciousness. There is no judgment in heaven. There is no condemnation in heaven, no reason for it. Let it be so in our consciousness, that we may participate in the continuing creative cycle by which the world to come comes. It cannot do so if we keep betraying it, and we betray it every time we allow motivations to come into our consciousness and give them our emotional support, motivations which have little or nothing to do with the heavenly state, motivations which have earthly origins. The world to come is coming. Who shall be included in the world to come? Those who let themselves be included in the consciousness of the Creator of that world, and those who include that Creator in their own consciousness consistently, so that there is never a break. As this becomes absolute then the statement is fulfilled: “Behold, I come quickly,” bringing my world with me, in which are included all who accept that state of consciousness. Nothing shall enter in that defiles or works abomination or makes a lie. If we are inclined to defile and work abomination and make lies, we do not enter in. But if we are a faithful gatekeeper, in our own state of consciousness, then we may participate in what has been described as the new heaven and the new earth, the world to come, which is and has been in the process of coming, thus far, for nineteen centuries.”

“We are invited to dwell in the garden in our own consciousness where we may exercise the duties of a gatekeeper. And sharing in the heavenly consciousness, the world to come comes quickly. Praise the Lord!

”How effective is my mind operating as The Guardian Angel, the gatekeeper for my Holy Place? Am I maintaining my consciousness in the Holy Place, keeping the container holy, inviolate, or am I opening my Holy Place to the corruption all around? Is my response stable and consistent according to the First Commandment, or is it pulled off into the realm of effects? Is there vacillation between the two? Moment by moment, where is the control point? What am I giving myself to? Wherever the control point is, that is what I am subject to, attuned to. Whatever I am attuned to ‘has me’. Neatly put: ‘To be open to the divine, one has to be closed to that which isn’t.’

This has been stated another way too: ‘We cannot serve God and Mammon’—the holy state and the worldly state. To have one foot in the Holy Place and the other foot in the realm of effects, man’s world, the mind-made world, the unreal, is vacillating between the two. This is doublemindedness. Here is a divided state and wherever we see or experience this, we find a house divided against itself—and a house divided against itself cannot stand. As Uranda has taught: Love response to the LORD, obedience and devotion, must be one-pointed, it cannot be divided. It has to be proved out by relinquishing ‘false gods’ and no longer worshipping them, physically, mentally or in the feeling realm.

Are we coming all the way through or are we still in the Borderland? Here is a quote from a transcript titled “Borderland” by Uranda, from October 16, 1947: “He who looks back overmuch to the kingdom of the prince of this world will find himself moving outward from the Borderland and slipping back across the boundary into the realm of the prince of death. He whose eyes are steadfastly set upon that of true citizenship in the Kingdom cannot be turned aside by conditions or circumstances or by what any may think or say or do.” And in another service: “We either move toward God, in the fulfilment of His will, or we move away from God toward oblivion.”

What does it take to yield to the Spirit of the Single Eye? It takes everything—everything! All of me. Relinquishing all. Full reverence and devotion to the First Commandment. This is what it takes to finish the work—individually and collectively. Isn’t that why we are here? To let the LORD’s Light shine through us to all the Kingdoms of His Earth? Isn’t that the only means by which the resurrection can come—in my consciousness, in your consciousness? If my Eye be single, my whole body shall be full of Light. If the Eye of His Body be single, His Body shall be full of Light; and the Veil thins, unveiling what is true, letting disintegrate what isn’t.

“The Word is with us continually, even unto the end of the world. When does the world end? When it is no longer present in consciousness. “We are concerned with the end of the world.” [“The World To Come” Martin Exeter from March 27, 1983] Let His Kingdom come.

The Spirit of the Womb, the place of Truth, the place of gestation, is where the Invisible is kept safe, protected. Here is where the safe place must be in which spiritual substance is preserved. Here abides Wisdom, and the fitness of things, appropriateness, and the next natural steps in the unfolding Creative Process appear from.

In my experience I have known within me many things that will need to be born, to emerge, in the outer, in time. Grabbing hold of the inner feeling and seeking self-actively to actualize it easily aborts a cycle. In patience and tranquillity “divine navigation” governs and controls. We choose. That is how His Kingdom comes. It cannot come on any other basis.

In a service Nancy Rose Exeter gave at the 100 in 1987 she said this: "As we remain trustworthy, as we remain in that appropriate arc, so that we don't separate ourselves for self-centered reasons, ever, then we participate together, male and female, so that the whole spectrum is present in attuning the world, attuning whatever may be in our individual worlds. All of these things that come to us then are indeed felt, but we are stable. We remain in the stance of the one who attunes, the one who is radiant, so that all of these things can move and come into balance and alignment as they should."

When I am in true oneness with the LORD, I know the experience of being the connecting link. In my home, there is one space in particular where the seamlessness of the oneness of being with the LORD comes to focus:  that is in my kitchen. In the quietness, tranquillity, my ‘very small’ kitchen is vast. In the simple preparation of food, the flow of what is above translates from the Invisible into the visible, appearing in the outer, creatively, with precision and to perfection. There is great joy in that.  When asked ‘What did you put in that dish?’ In that moment I smile quietly to myself and answer “I don’t know!” It truly is unique and different every time. In this apparently small but significant circumstance, through the reality of the flow of Spirit I know the experience of “Behold, I make all things new”.

As we as a Body continue to integrate, we are One together, and the experience of the connecting link becomes ever more present and increasingly known. Within myself I sense a fusion going on—a top down, bottom-up fusion occurring. It is in a quiet internal place—a reunion of the Inner Realms of the Invisible and the Outer Realms of the Visible. It is experienced over time as a move from two distinct directions into one that melds together at yet a higher point, and, along with it, a slow but noticeable dissolving of the distinction.

“As I AM lifted up, I shall draw all men unto Me” takes on new meaning in a vibrational sense, as the process is allowed to continue uninterrupted in an unbroken line. The resurrection and the restoration is proceeding, the real resurrection, Here, Now. What is happening is happening to the whole body of mankind, no exceptions. All are participating in the resurrection or in the disintegration of what has existed in the experience of human beings until now. This nightmare state is passing away. We either identify ourselves with the nightmare state and pass away with it or we allow ourselves to move in the resurrecting process.

There is a vision that has been with me for a very long time, a vision seen from the inner eye. It appears as a collective of angels in formation, a latticework, a garland of gossamer vibration connecting one to another like a web along delicate, beautiful lines, held between angels individually and in constellations. There begins to be a spiritual coronation of blessing being laid on all the kingdoms of this world. As this becomes a reality, then all earth is restored to our KING.

Robert Merriman — We have noted the words “gossamer lattice.” Gossamer—it’s very, very delicate, and we’ve been entrusted by the LORD with delicate, precious substance. I sense our shared rejoicing, and give utterance to it, and yet at the same time note that my response and steadfastness … is required as this delicate substance is allowed to continue to develop into strong sinew, upon which the world can be drawn, as all is returned to the One we serve.

Davina Misroch — Thank you Robert; thank you everybody. Gossamer latticework. The reforming of the capstone, strengthening, taking shape ever stronger. The KING and the QUEEN have been present all along. There has never been a time when the QUEEN has not been here, though virtually unknown, and probably very wisely kept hidden. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2023/04/let-her-alone_16.html] Leave her alone! But leave her alone to blossom. Let her true radiance come forth because there is a safe place for it to do so. And that safe place can only be brought by her angels, male and female, to create that safe place. Thankful are we, now to be, filled with praise, LORD to Thee; so shall our living bless the earth. Thankful are we Holy KING, Holy QUEEN. Aumen.

Creation By The Word

Creation  By  The  Word

Martin Cecil   December 19, 1976

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” “In the beginning was the Word.” These two Biblical statements say virtually the same thing. The universe is created and sustained by the Word of God. This is a way of describing something that is indescribable. In our own experience on earth we have begun to become aware of the reality of the Word. It begins to have meaning to us in a specific sense. We see that words spoken do have a relatedness to what may be described as the Word. Another term we have used in this connection is the “Tone.” If we think of this Creative Tone sounding constantly we may see that the whole range of vibratory design that is present in the universe is kept in manifestation by the Tone. Should the Tone cease to sound at any moment then everything throughout the whole universe would immediately dissolve. We would not anticipate any such thing, but I merely mention this so that there may be a certain awareness of what is back of the creation. We must use analogies to convey ideas, and so we may say that there is a Tone sounding and all things exist by reason of this. This is the Word of God.

If we have responsibility in the creative purposes of God here in the world, that creative responsibility can only be carried to the extent that we carry the Tone, to the extent that we are the Word. The Word was in the beginning. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth,” but the present moment is always a beginning. We may see that this truth with respect to the Word always relates to the present moment. Those two passages from the Bible are couched in a past tense. It was true at any moment of the past, but it is true in this moment of the present. This moment of the present is certainly the beginning insofar as our experience is concerned with respect to the moments that are yet to come. But the Word is spoken in the present moment at the point of beginning. The effect of the Word is the creation of the heaven and the earth, two aspects of one creation. We have referred to this as the dimensional world. Out of nowhere the Word is spoken; in the now here the effect of the speaking of that Word is revealed. All things exist because the Word is spoken.

Our particular responsibility doesn't immediately relate to the whole universe; it simply relates to the particular field of our responsibility as man on earth. But the same principle which is present with respect to the universe comes to bear in the creative process for which we find ourselves responsible. There must be the Word brought to focus in our field of responsibility. That Word, when expressed, creates the heaven and the earth. We are interested in a new heaven and a new earth. We are not interested in having the first heaven and the first earth sustained in existence. It is sustained in existence now, insofar as human experience is concerned, because the Word that is spoken is not revealed accurately by reason of the expression of human beings; so there is another creation, which is not the true one. There is a false creation, which rightly passes away when it is no longer sustained because the Tone is no longer being sounded through the facilities of fallen human beings. Presently the world that human beings know is sustained by the Word. All things were made by Him, but what has been made has been distorted and out of balance because of the state of consciousness in which human beings are existing. The sounding of the Tone must come through that, and by the time it has come through it isn't the true expression of the Tone, it isn't the true Word. It has been called a lie, and the world is sustained on the basis of this lie.

There are plenty of human beings presently functioning in such a manner as to maintain this false world. There are a few, presumably you included, who are beginning to come into position to sound the true Tone. That true Tone does two things: first of all it tends to dissolve the results of the false tone; at the same time it creates the results of the sounding of the true Tone, the new heaven and the new earth. People read about these things in the 21st chapter of the Book of Revelation, and hear the statement, “I saw a new heaven and a new earth”; and there is a general expectation on the part of some that one day, by some means—divine action presumably—this will occur. But there is very little awareness on the part of anyone that human beings have any part to play at all with respect to what happens; and yet if human beings do not have a part to play in that, of what value are human beings? They certainly do provide the facility, rightly, by which this change may occur. And the change occurs on the basis of the Word.

In the beginning, in the moment, is the Word. This is true regardless of whether the expression of that Word is true or false. The Word is there just the same, and the false world which human beings have made is sustained because the Word is present, present but falsely expressed by human beings. Human beings have provided the only facility by which the Word could be expressed on earth. From the standpoint of the true creation man was made in the image of God to be the facility by which there might be the true creation and by which that true creation might be sustained in that area of man's responsibility. Man is still here, or what passes for man these days. No other facility has put in an appearance to get the job done, so we must depend upon what is here. I'm sure that if it was somehow decided that what remains of man was so useless that he would never get the job done, this remains would completely disintegrate. But there are human beings living on earth, great numbers these days, and so the essential facility is still present, awaiting the emergence of those who would allow the undistorted Word to be expressed. The expression of that undistorted Word creates a new heaven and a new earth—all very simple really!

When there is the true expression there is nothing that human beings in the false state of consciousness can do to prevent the creation from occurring. It hasn't occurred heretofore because there has been no adequate means for the expression of the Word, the undistorted, true Word. Now there begins to be evidence of the emergence of such a facility, but obviously this facility functions on a basis that is not at all the same as had been experienced by those concerned heretofore. The function is not in the range of the false state. It is not a matter of making a better false state. This has been the effort that has been put forward by human beings all down through the ages and so there was seeming betterment at times, but this was always succeeded by worsement because you can't have the good without the evil in the false state. In the true state it isn't a matter of good and evil as human beings understand it but a matter of the way things are. They don't need judging by anyone. There are creative processes at work and changes occurring which if judged could be categorized, as they have been in the false state, as being either good or evil; but in fact they are neither. They are perfect, the perfect unfoldment of the creative process by reason of the Word expressed on earth by those who are created in the image of God. These are specifically so created in order that the Word might be spoken within the range of the responsibility carried by man.

The Word is spoken and the result of this is described as heaven and earth. We are concerned with the new heaven and the new earth, an unknown quantity until the Word is expressed and the result appears. We don't have to try to make the new heaven and the new earth be any particular way, because as human beings in the false state we wouldn't know what that way was anyhow, and also there is no need. The Word is all that is required. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God … All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made,” even the false world in which we now apparently dwell. “In him,” in the Word, “was life.” There is no possibility of the experience of the reality of Life except in the Word. When that Word is expressed Life is expressed and there is the experience of what Life is. If the Word, as it truly is, is not expressed but is colored and distorted, then life is not expressed and the dying experience is consequently known. Our total concern relates to the Word.

This Word has focus, so that the Tone may be sounded in such a way that those who have ears to hear may become increasingly aware of it. As there is love for that Word, then the individual expression in living is conditioned by the Word and increasingly the person concerned becomes the Word in expression. Each individual properly expresses an aspect of the Word in his own field of living responsibility. Obviously it could not be that each person twenty-four hours a day reads mailings. If we look at our general pattern here at the moment we see that there are two hours of service a week. There are something like one hundred and sixty-eight hours in a week, so that would be one hour in eighty-four. Possibly in a few of those eighty-four hours mailings may be read or videos observed or audiotapes listened to, or services given by others than myself who are capable of sounding the Tone shared, but obviously the majority of life experience must be one's own particular expression of the Word. Each one has this responsibility. Each one knows life to the extent that he is true to that responsibility, because in the Word is Life.

There is this unifying current which finds release through what we call services, and this in various ways is made available for the consideration of a large number of people. But above and beyond the consideration of words and the spirit of those words, there is the release of spirit in any case, something that is in some measure known by those who are moving with this flow of the spirit. I am frequently informed by people that they had been considering certain points which were shortly thereafter found in the mailings that were received; in other words there is an unconscious movement in the flow of the spirit already experienced in some measure by people in many places. As there is a greater proficiency in the expression of the Word this coordinated movement becomes more obvious and the effect of this coordinated expression of the Word also becomes more obvious—more obvious from the standpoint of the dissolution of the first heaven and the first earth, and the creation of the new heaven and the new earth. These two experiences unfold side-by-side.

Obviously all of us have a considerable background of conditioning in the false state of consciousness which must be dissolved. Whether we like it or not, whether anyone on earth likes it or not, this dissolution is already occurring. The former things are in the process of passing away. Insofar as those who are deeply involved in and committed to a false state are concerned such dissolution is disturbing, to say the least. It is aptly described as tribulation, but it is only tribulation to those who are identified with what it is that is in the process of being dissolved. We would all admit, I'm sure, that there is much present yet insofar as our state of consciousness is concerned which correlates with the false state, and consequently we would anticipate that there would be a certain amount of tribulation within the range of our experience. So if some shows up, as it undoubtedly does and no doubt will continue to do for a while, this should not be any surprise to us. There is no need to be disturbed by it. We can assume an attitude of aloofness toward it. We are keenly aware of the fact that it is something that must occur and we have an attitude of welcome toward the occurrences.

The experience of the new heaven and the new earth is quite bound up with the dissolution of the first heaven and the first earth. If there is a real longing for the creation of the new heaven and the new earth then there is also a real longing for the dissolution of the first heaven and the first earth. When we experience that dissolution and it is uncomfortable, we may easily give thanks. This is a very easy thing to do when we are standing in the place where we belong and see things with true perspective. The place where we belong of course is in the Garden, expressing the Word. We do not think that expressing the Word will simply be uncomfortable for everybody else. It's uncomfortable for us too, but we know how to handle that; we understand what is happening. Incidentally, we may be in position to provide assurance to others with respect to their discomforts, because we understand the necessity for the dissolution of the old heaven, the first heaven and the first earth. We ourselves represent to those with whom we are associated the sounding of the Word, inviting response. And as there are those who are willing to be assured, and consequently comforted by what we are in position to offer because of our vision and understanding, they too begin to participate in the sounding of the Tone as related to their own expression of living.

So the Word is expressed by us and others because we accept the responsibility for it, and we cannot let ourselves return into subjection to the old state of false, restricted, limited vision. Where there is no vision the people certainly perish. There is something going to perish, but why associate oneself with what is perishing, even if what is perishing seems for the moment to be a part of ourselves? The new heaven and the new earth put in an appearance as the inevitable result of the sounding of the creative Word expressed in our living. We live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. We participate in the flowing expression of that Word in every aspect of our daily living.

I speak of these things now and I'm sure that you have a certain understanding of what it is that I am saying. You do have that to the extent of your own experience of living and moving in the Word. And this does certainly include what is specifically brought to focus in an hour such as this, as well as what may be brought to focus specifically in your particular individual fields of responsibility during the course of your daily living. It is all one thing, really, but there needs to be a focus. There needs to be an increasingly clear participation in what is being revealed by reason of that focus, so that there is this unified moving in the flow of the spirit. Here is the creative power. In the Word is Life, and the Life is the Light of men. It is the means by which restoration may occur.

The light already shines in the darkness; the darkness comprehends it not. We are rather fortunate that the darkness does not comprehend the light. There would be a great deal more resistance, objection, violent contention, if human beings in the dark were able actually to see what was happening. Only those begin to sense what is happening, in an awareness of something creative, as there is movement with the Word. Then there is movement with the Light, and the Light comprehends the Light. We do not expect the darkness to comprehend the light and do not try to make it do so, as though that was going to be a valuable service. The valuable service is to leave the darkness in an uncomprehending state; then they are in no position to interfere with the creative process with which we are associated, because they don't know what's going on. What they observe as going on doesn't seem to them to have very much significance, so there's no need to oppose it too extensively. But it is our responsibility to give expression to the Word which is God.

As I say, that expression dissolves the first heaven and the first earth. It dissolves the first heaven and the first earth because when the Word is truly expressed there is nothing to sustain the first heaven and the first earth, so it disintegrates. The Tone is no longer falsely sounding within the range of that false state and so there is nothing to sustain it and it collapses. It may be possible for us quite easily to see these things and the logic of them while we are sitting here in the Chapel. We have a perspective view from the mountainside, if not from the mountaintop as yet. But what happens when we are not together directly considering these things? Possibly most of you could now say, “Oh I see, I understand, I know what it is that is happening. I realize that the Word must be expressed, the Tone consistently sounded, and all these things will work out as they should, the creation will occur.” What was it that James said in his Epistle, about a person looking into the mirror and seeing things, and then straightway forgetting them? Let us not forget, but move with the flow of the spirit, deeply concerned to allow the expression of the Word according to our individual fields of responsibility. What a great and glorious thing this is! Could there be anything more marvellous, really? We should have sufficient vision to see it, and to know it.

Of course, we only really know how marvellous it is to the extent that we do it. We don't know how marvelous it is just by thinking about it. We may delude ourselves into a delightful state of imagination, but the reality, the result, only appears when the Word is expressed constantly and consistently. And as there comes an increasing sense of assurance the force of the expression of that Word is known. It is known because we express it. We may perceive that there is force to it by reason of the expression of another, but if the other isn't around to convey to us the force of it then if we are not participating in that expression ourselves it tends to vanish away in our experience. But we may move together; we are here to do that. There are particular opportunities in this regard every day. Things come to special points of focus at times.

We recognize that the expression of the Word is not merely the responsibility of the one or ones who bring it to particular focus; it requires everyone—as it requires everyone here this evening to permit whatever expression of the Word may appear now. You have a very important part to play in permitting the Word to be expressed. The Word is not going to be released simply at the moment we have a service; it wouldn't be possible on that basis if it had not been being expressed on a more or less consistent basis over the months and years. And so there has been this radiation. Now a door is opened for response to that radiation, and there are people who are ready to respond, because what is being offered is seen as acceptable. To the extent that there is response and openness of heart, because there is a recognition of something that is easily accepted, the impact of the Word occurs—there is creative expression. In the beginning God, the Word, creates the heaven and the earth. It is all part of the creative process by reason of the expression of the Word, a particular focus of that creative process, something which may be experienced by everybody who is present. It is part of a continuing process which is at work all the time to the extent that the Word is expressed.

In the beginning is the Word, and the Word is with God, and the Word is God. The same is always in the beginning, in the present moment. It is so in every present moment. The very fact of the continued existence of all that we know exists is evidence of this. All things are made and sustained by the Word. Let us let the world which we center be made and sustained by the Word clearly and purely expressed in our living. This we are here to do. And I trust in our consideration this evening there may be an increased clarity of consciousness with respect to our creative responsibility, an increased understanding of what it is we are about and what it is that is happening. Here is true purpose, and in the expression of true purpose there is the experience of true meaning. How blessed we are to have the opportunity of allowing such things to be brought to focus in unified radiation, that the creative expression of the Word may continue and intensify to the Glory of God.
