Honor The Heavenly Father

It is now well over half a century since the Word of the King has been articulated on earth: “Come near unto Me.” When this Word was initially spoken, through Uranda's lips, there was no one. Then came a few. Through these few the initial generation of spiritual substance began to take place. As there was more of this substance available, resonating with the radiance of the Word, more began to be drawn close. Through the generation of spiritual substance greater radiation occurs. So, gradually a body of human beings has come together for the purpose of generating more spiritual substance — this in order that there might be a larger and intensified radiation. Wherever there is resonant substance in human beings, that substance is drawn. If there is enough of it in a person the person him- or herself comes along; and because human beings are somewhat arrogant, the assumption is “I chose to come.” But the fact of the matter is quite different. Radiation, response, attraction — that is the initial aspect of the process.
Sometimes those who are drawn because there was some substance in themselves which resonated with the radiation decide to cut out. If they do, that internal substance recedes, and may indeed vanish away. Where there is resonant substance, and a human being comes along, there may be additional generation, so that there is a sharing in providing spiritual substance within the developing collective body which is charged with the responsibility of allowing this to happen. One might say that the process is foolproof, which is fortunate, because most of us have been in that classification! It works. Whether anyone likes it or not, whether anyone agrees with it or not, it works; and as I mentioned, it has been working over the last half century. It is quite possible for human beings to hold out their resonant substance, to keep it at arm's length so to speak; and this has been done by everyone along the way. In these days there are more who are aware of their real responsibility, and so are allowing what they have considered to be their own personal resonant substance to be given to the One to whom it belongs. We speak of that One as the King, for sake of identification.
This resonant substance in the hands of the King composes what might be referred to as the silver cord for the body of mankind. We have all been acquainted with the words “silver cord,” as presented in the Book of Ecclesiastes. There the reference has been seen primarily as relating to the individual: “Or ever the silver cord be loosed.” When it is loosed, that human form is dead. Obviously there has been a silver cord present with respect to the body of humanity, or the body of humanity would have long since been dead. So it isn't a matter of weaving a silver cord — it is already in place — but of generating the finer substance that would make it possible for that silver cord to carry the true essences of the spirit of the King. Heretofore it has been pretty coarse. We can see evidences of that on every hand in the behavior of human beings the world around. It has all been pretty coarse, coarse and destructive, violent, corrupt. So there is obviously a need for finer substance to be included in the already existing silver cord, by reason of which mankind has continued thus far on the surface of the earth.
We might give another name to the silver cord. All these words are symbols, anyway, of a reality. But the silver cord, as it relates to the body of mankind, rather than merely to the individual, was indicated as “the river of life,” the river of life which flows in the midst of the street of the holy city, and on either side of which grows the tree of life. As we have assumed responsibility, in our own individual living, for the generation of spiritual substance because our lives are given back, to whatever extent, to the One to whom they belong, then there is a collective flow of the river of life central to the consciousness of this forming spiritual body. And because there is that flow, and the flow is allowed to continue and increase, the tree of life begins to take form once again. The tree of life ultimately is, in fact, the body of Man, which brings forth leaves and bears fruit for the purposes of the King. Not too many human beings on the face of the earth have been particularly interested in the purposes of the King, because they have been so wrapped up in their own purposes, stealing life which then, of course, must ultimately vanish away. People customarily die, generation after generation, and that is taken for granted. It only occurs because the life has been stolen; and what occurs with respect to human beings is reflected in the environment. There
are those these days who are much concerned about the environment. They begin
to see the writing on the wall, that the human race cannot much longer exist on
the face of this planet at the rate that environmental destruction is
occurring. So there is a certain fear, and fear galvanizes people into action.
I think there needs to be honesty in this, because very often the assumption is
that one acts to preserve the environment because one loves it so much, when
the fact of the matter is that fear prevails.
There
is a commandment, among the ten, which provides a certain instruction as to the
way life works. “Honour thy father and thy
mother.” One could paraphrase the commandment a little by saying, “Honor thy heavenly
Father and thy earthly Mother, but honor thy heavenly Father first; then you
will be able to honor the earthly Mother.” The approach now is from
the bottom up, so to speak, so that the first thing that comes to the awareness
of people is what has happened to the earthly Mother. There is concern for the
earthly environment presently being emphasized, because
there is this process by which people are rising up. We ourselves may well know
that it isn't a matter, initially, of honoring the earthly Mother. One can have
respect for the earthly Mother, but the honoring needs to be of the heavenly
Father. Insofar as most people are concerned, they haven't reached that point.
A number of people are now running into an awareness of the fact
that the earthly Mother has been dishonored. She has been abused and raped.
Seeing this, there is a reaction to what is seen: “This shouldn't be. Let's
stop it; let's do something about it. Let's begin to honor the earthly Mother.”
But nobody yet knows how to do that.
All they have is a whole slew of human concepts, of conflicting views, which
have nothing to do with honoring the earthly Mother, because the earthly Mother
cannot be honored until the heavenly Father is honored. Honor thy heavenly
Father and thy earthly Mother, in that order.
Because there are those who are beginning to become aware of the necessity of honoring the earthly Mother, there is indication that people are rising up in consciousness toward the heavenly Father. For the most part they haven't got there yet, and they still put their dependence in the manipulation of the earthly Mother. Our concern is not primarily with the earthly Mother. We respect the earthly Mother, and we provide what we may in the fields where we have direct responsibility in this regard, but we are aware that whatever may be done in that sense is virtually nothing. We know that first is the honoring of the heavenly Father. This has come to focus in our own consciousness as relating to the One to whom all belongs anyway, identified by using the words the King. There is one King. Human beings have separated themselves from any awareness of this fact that they themselves only exist to the extent that they are willing to differentiate the spirit of that one King, having decided to steal their lives and use them for their own human purposes. This
is obvious, isn't it? What are you going to do? Honor the heavenly Father — a simple
answer. There are plenty
of people grappling with problems. It hasn't got anyone anywhere so far,
so why pour our life energy into the same process?
Why not allow our life energy to be restored to the King, to whom it belongs in the first place? I suppose you could say that it is self-interest to do it, because if you don't do that you are going to lose it anyway. So, seeing these things, and being slightly more intelligent than we were in days gone by, we have exhibited at least some willingness to accept the King, to accept the quality of the spirit of the King into our own living. That is the only place we can know it. We accept it individually, ourselves, into our own living, or we reject it — one or the other. It is a very simple choice, really. Of course there is something that goes beyond that, and that is the extent of resonant substance that there may be present within ourselves. But that resonant substance can increase. It increases in direct proportion to the extent that our lives are returned to the King. Then there is radiation, and the radiation generates additional substance, and additional substance permits greater radiation. It is a very rapid process for those who are willing to let it be an exponential experience. It can easily be. Most of us have existed so far with the brakes on. The generation of substance is of primary importance, so there may be this radiation of spirit as life is returned to the King. Then the King may have a body and live on earth. Very simple. Everything works in very natural ways. Because we have physical forms we are capable of living on earth. If He has a physical form He is capable of living on earth. Simple. But He has no form in which to live on earth as long as human beings are busy about their own business, what they conceive to be important to them. It is true enough that we all have things to do. After all, we landed up here on earth and we have developed whatever we have developed so far, doing what we're doing. That may be useful for the moment. But we don't do it because we are identified with some profession or other; most people are. We have all been given the name of the Lord. Every human being on the face of the earth has been given the name of the Lord. Each of us can say quite easily, “I am.” And that is the name of the Lord. But virtually everyone has taken it in vain.
We are here ourselves now because we have begun to honor the heavenly Father. The King is supreme. His life is everything. It is my life. When we can say that and it is so, we are present on earth to provide what is necessary for the creative action of the King. The point is: What is actually the fact with respect to oneself? That is the only thing that is of concern. Is one's own life a differentiation in expression on earth of the life of the King? We have begun to be aware of this to the extent that we are in position because there is sufficient substance to accommodate the life of the King. Then, looking round about, we see that the King governs. It is all under control. No one has been able to take it out of the spiritual control pattern which is present throughout the whole universe. That would be quite a trick, wouldn't it, if these little puny creatures here on the surface of the earth could take themselves and everything else here on earth permanently out of the creative process which informs the whole universe and have a little, what, a little cyst sitting to one side of the universe? “This is ours now. We've finally triumphed, claiming complete authority in our own field of operations. We've defeated the King — perhaps not in the rest of the universe, but right here!” That is the most ridiculous idea that could come to the consciousness of human beings. It is a sad, sad thing insofar as the havoc that has been wreaked in this beautiful creation, this beautiful planet, is concerned. Human beings claim that it is still very beautiful, but it doesn't reveal any more of what the real beauty should be than a dried raisin reveals what a grape is.
Again, honor the King. Honor the heavenly Father. Honor the King. The only way one can honor the King is by accepting the King's life into one's own expression of living. It is the only way. Otherwise one is denying the King, and it is because of this that the King has been excluded from His world. It is fortunate that the primary quality of the King is love. If it hadn't been that, I think He would have squashed human beings under His thumb long ago. How thankful one may be to awaken to the truth of these things and to participate in the continuing generation of substance by which the radiation of the King may shine forth into all the world. That is a fire, and it is hell to those who resist it. There is need for honor of the heavenly Father — not lip service, not bowing humbly in some sort of a supposedly sacred setting, probably once a week, but letting the life of the King be one's own life, because one has no life anymore of one's own. One will do nothing for oneself in the sense of trying to promote the human ego and personality. There is only one way. There is only one life, and unless you accommodate that one life you don't have it. So we share in this angelic business of unveiling the angel in human form on earth because the angel reveals the life of the King, and this is available to anyone. The human state takes a little shucking off, but it never happens until one is willing to let it be shucked off. We may relinquish it and know life, the life of the King, because we honor the heavenly Father.
Honoring the heavenly Father we then are quite capable of permitting the creative action of the King to come into effect with respect to the earthly Mother. There is no human being who can figure out what should happen to the earthly Mother. Things finally got to the stage where it is hopeless. We may be very thankful for that. It is hopeless; it's useless to try to fix it up. And while we may play some part in alleviating the difficulties that human beings accept for themselves, at the same time our main concern is the will of the King: How can whatever I am doing be used to advantage? Not for me.
There is something coming called Apocalypse, which is a wonderful thing. It is a revelation, a revelation of the truth. Everybody is going to be faced with the truth. Let us face the truth before that moment comes for everybody on the face of the earth, because there need to be those who are present to provide a focus of stability and radiance, which allows all things to work together to perfection. That is the responsibility of those who awaken to it. I rejoice that there are those who are awakening and those who are accepting the King, His life, His purpose, His will as being their own life and purpose and will. And so that provides what is necessary for the King at this point. There is far more to be provided, but let us accept what may be done now, because we honor Him, and honoring Him we honor the earthly Mother.
