Israel—The Action Of God

Israel — The  Action  Of  God

Martin Cecil  January 2, 1977

We are assembled here in the Chapel this morning as sons and daughters of God, to do whatever is right and fitting in this time that we have together. It is not merely a matter of accepting some sort of passive responsibility: there are things to be done.

We have, I am sure, reached a point where we are not so governed by our reactions to circumstances as may have been the case previously. It is necessary that we should come clear of the control of our reaction to appearances; but that is not all, certainly, that is required of us. When we are no longer being governed by appearances round about we are then in position to express what is necessary as sons and daughters of God. There is much that is necessary in this regard; positive action, we could say. We are present here this morning to allow the right expression of positive action in unified radiation. This principle is set forth in very clear terms in the first fourteen verses of the 37th chapter of Ezekiel in the Old Testament. Let me read this passage to you.

The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest.

Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.

Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord God; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the Lord have spoken it, and performed it, saith the Lord.

Ezekiel was commanded to prophesy. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2017/09/valley-of-dry-bones-uranda-january-4.html] Prophecy is usually looked upon in the present human state of consciousness as predicting the future, foretelling future events. We need to see that prophecy is speaking the Word of the Lord. When the Word of the Lord is spoken, certainly that determines future events, so in this sense it is foretelling future events; but the prophecy is the action, the expression, of the truth in living, twenty-four hours a day. When there is a consistency in this regard the Word of the Lord is spoken consistently, and the effects of that cause appear; the Word of the Lord is sent forth to accomplish something and it does not return unto Him void.

Our responsibility, then, may be seen as corresponding with that of Ezekiel in this passage. The Word of the Lord must be spoken on earth, spoken in the valley. Elsewhere this valley was called the valley of decision. It is the valley of dry bones. Here is an interesting analogy of the present state of human beings: isolated dry bones. Looking at those isolated bones, could you really tell what the nature of the skeleton would be when they were fitted together? or what the person would look like when the skeleton was clothed in flesh? or how the person would act, what sort of character he would display, when the breath of life was in him? The bones have to come together. The sinews and the flesh must come up upon the reconstructed skeleton and the skin must clothe the flesh. But even so, there is yet the need for the breath of life. All these steps from the original point of just one dry bone, the individual—could anyone prognosticate, then, what the true state of man is? There are those who try to prognosticate in the past, looking backward, as to what some certain form was on the basis of the finding of a little piece of bone, but this is only possible (and certainly not very accurate) because there is already an awareness of what human beings look like now, or what other animals look like. If there were no consciousness of any of these things and some disembodied person found a bone, without any awareness of any forms, could he possibly reconstruct the form from which that bone came? Of course not! It's just as ridiculous to look at human beings now and try to imagine what the true state of man is. It's just as far away from being experienced as the single bone is from the completed living person. So it would be foolishness to try to imagine the true state of man. It is unimaginable. Our concern is that it should be experienced. Obviously if it is experienced, then it is known.

To be experienced there is the necessity for someone to prophesy, someone to speak the Word of the Lord on earth; not necessarily conversationally, although that can be included, but in the expression, the total expression, of living. Here is true prophecy, because when the Word of the Lord is thus spoken future events are foretold; they're going to happen. We do not need to try to figure out what it is exactly that is going to happen, but we know that the result of the speaking of the Word of the Lord produces the happening; and the happening that happens will be the happening that should happen, so we can leave it at that. Why would there be any necessity to try to figure it out, or try to explain to human beings the nature of future events? What would be the point? Who knows what they would be anyway? Speak the Word of the Lord and let the future take care of itself. It will, on the basis of this creative power.

When human beings consider their problems they try to figure out how to solve them. The practical expression of life from this standpoint is to find viable solutions to the problems that present themselves in human affairs, whether individually or in the international sense or anywhere in between. This is one reason why what we have to offer as sons and daughters of God is not considered to be of any great moment—fortunately so, because we're left alone. “There are some rather odd people”—peculiar people, we would say—"who are doing something, but it's not very practical.” Why? Because it doesn't appear to be solving the problem of inflation, for instance, or reducing unemployment, or unifying Canada, or settling the situation in southern Africa or in the Middle East or in Northern Ireland, or anywhere else on earth for that matter. These are the practical problems in the view of the present state of human consciousness, but the fact of the matter is that the sons and the daughters of God are not in the least interested in solving these problems. What in effect is being required by human beings of themselves is to settle all these things so that all concerned can continue in their self-centered state comfortably. We're not interested in the self-centered state, so certainly we are not interested in making human beings comfortable in their self-centered state. The questions that human beings ask with a view to solving their problems are the wrong questions, and certainly we are not here to provide an answer to those questions. Wrong questions can only receive a wrong answer, and they do, as witness the state of affairs in the world. And so the great intellects of the world try to solve these knotty problems.

By the way, the problems which we see on the surface, the popular problems that appear in the media, bear very little resemblance to what is actually going on in the world. If you are not anymore subject to human reactions to appearances then I am sure you will not be stirred up emotionally by those things which are presented to us through the media. This is one way by which human beings are kept distracted. They don't really see what's going on; they only think they see things that stir their emotions, and so they take sides this way and that. “Divide and conquer,” they say. But back of everything there is what might be referred to, I suppose, as power politics, including far greater scope than is usually recognized. In that area there is a completely amoral approach: morality and ethics don't enter into the picture at all, or scarcely at all. Morality and ethics, as human beings understand such things, are left to the masses, to stir their emotions, so that they look at various events and judge them to be unethical or immoral and feel justified in a self-righteous reaction. The emotions are stirred on this basis and human eyes are fastened upon something which has very little meaning actually, but it keeps everyone looking in a different direction from what is being undertaken from the standpoint of what I referred to as power politics.

Obviously there is a completely confusing condition here, and as long as human beings can be kept confused in this way they will not be in position to recognize what is actually taking place. But it's interesting to note that those who are involved in this pattern of power politics are also completely oblivious to something that is taking place back of that again. What is taking place back of that relates to this matter of speaking the Word of the Lord. If there is no one present, no prophet present on earth, to speak the Word of the Lord, then what is going on back of all human affairs leads to the obliteration of the human race. That's one way of clearing up the mess and solving the problems. Of course from the human standpoint it doesn't look as though any problem was solved, just simply totally eliminated because human beings were totally eliminated. In that elimination none of the humanly devised problems were solved in actual fact, because they didn't need to be solved. They just need to evaporate, dissolve, pass away. As long as human beings have their eyes fixed on their problems they maintain them in existence. They maintain them in existence by trying to find solutions, and of course the more solutions they think they find the more problems they have; so there is certainly no practical answer in that direction. The wrong question is being asked.

The very moment that a person finds the right question the answer is obvious. It only seems that there are no answers to questions, or it's very difficult to find them, when it is the wrong question being asked. If the right question can be formulated in human consciousness, immediately the answer is there; therefore it is clear enough that if the answer isn't there the wrong question is being asked. It's wrong in the sense of being meaningless, because there is no means of preserving the self-centered human state. This is where all the human effort is placed, in the endeavor to sustain the self-centered human state, and in that there are all kinds of problems; therefore it is assumed that the thing to do is to try to find the answer to them. But the self-centered human state cannot be sustained indefinitely; it will collapse and eventually pass away.

The bones have only remained in the valley with the expectation that at some point they could be called together, bone to his bone, and the creative cycle could be allowed to unfold according to the Word of the Lord, to permit what we have referred to as the restoration of man. For the restoration of man there must be some people around. If there are no people around, certainly man couldn't be restored—maybe re-created but not restored. What has been called the Plan of God, or the Cosmic Plan by some, we recognize as relating to this means by which man may be restored, the means by which the self-centered state in which man has been trapped may pass away without man passing away. If we want a problem, then that is the problem that was faced by the LORD, and He happens to know what the answer is! But human beings do not; they do not see the problem in its true terms anyway; they do not know what the question is.

For this re-creative process to occur there must be the prophet of the Lord; there must be someone to initiate the creative process by speaking the Word of the Lord. And again, it's not just a matter of saying words; it's a matter of the total expression of living. When the Word of the Lord is spoken on earth then the results are sure. The Word of the Lord was spoken at a particular point in human history through the lips of Jesus, and His whole expression of life was the Word of the Lord. Something obviously was initiated at that point, the results of which are inevitable. It is said that the mills of the gods grind slowly, but they grind exceeding fine. It all works out in the end, one way or the other. So there was an initiating point there, but of course there was an initiating point before that again within the range of our recorded history. It came to pass through Abraham initially: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob; and Jacob had his name changed to Israel. And so subsequent to Jacob the Israel pattern came into the picture.

There must be some significance to this particular word. I'm sure Jacob didn't change his name on the basis of a momentary whim, as some human beings do on occasion. There has been consideration on the part of many with respect to the derivation of the word, trying to understand what it might mean. I suppose we could correlate it with the chosen people, as it turned out, but there is more to it than that. The actual meaning could perhaps be best summarized by using the words “the action of God.” Israel—the action of God. This particular word correlates with another word, Jehovah—God in action on earth. But if God is in action on earth there must be the evidence of His action. That which gives evidence of the action of God on earth is Israel. It certainly doesn't merely indicate the Jewish people, and it certainly doesn't indicate a little strip of land in Palestine.

You may recall that there was a point in the life of Abraham when he stood upon a certain spot on the surface of the earth, which happened to be in Palestine, and the Lord instructed him to look northward and southward and eastward and westward, saying to him that all the land that he saw would be his and for his seed. I might read the passage: “And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.”

How far do you think Abraham saw? Was it a clear day, or was it foggy? Of course the point is not with respect to physical vision; this is the usual human reaction, a material reaction. There was a man who stood on Marianna Butte in Colorado, not far from the Ranch, who looked around and claimed all the land that he saw. Well it took in a certain amount of territory, I suppose, but that is one way of looking at land ownership, so to speak; on the other hand one may have a greater vision. One can see, looking northward, that there is considerable scope included; likewise southward, eastward and westward. In fact when you've accepted a clear vision you have included the whole earth, and that is exactly what was being portrayed here. The whole earth belongs to the LORD, not just some little patch of it tax-free—
the whole earth! The action of God relates to the whole earth, and the action of God is not a strip of land, certainly; it isn't even the earth. The earth is the particular setting for the action of God insofar as we are concerned as the sons and the daughters of God, but there is no means for God to act on earth without a prophet and without Israel. Israel is the action of God on earth.

That little strip of land that is nowadays called Israel came to birth with the idea of being the homeland of the Jewish people. I doubt if there's enough room for all of them there; but actually the Jewish people are no more Israel than the rest of the peoples of the world. It isn't a matter of earthly heredity. The only value of earthly heredity at the present time is that it allows people to be present. There wouldn't be anyone present at all if it wasn't for earthly heredity; but in view of the fact that people are present, earthly heredity has done its job, so we can get along to other things, namely heavenly heredity. From the standpoint of heavenly heredity the action of God is made possible. Earthly heredity makes possible the presence of heavenly heredity on earth but it is heavenly heredity now on earth which makes possible the action of God on earth. The chosen people, then, in this regard are chosen on the basis of their heavenly heredity, not of their earthly heredity. Out of every nation, kindred, tongue and people come the sons and daughters of God, establishing the action of God on earth. The land of Israel is the earth. It is the setting for the action of God. Man re-created is the action of God on earth.

Perhaps it could be said that the initial land of Israel is described as the Garden of God—the Promised Land, a spiritual land; but, as we have noted, that land is not and cannot be separated from the earth. That it has been separated from the earth in human consciousness doesn't mean that it is actually separated. It merely seems to be so to human beings, so that all that they see is the earth. And human beings in their self-centered state try to possess the land and so there is conflict in consequence, because everybody wants his own little piece; and one little piece isn't enough, he wants two little pieces; and so it goes. It expands onto the large scale internationally: every nation for itself. While there is a national pattern which relates to what I have called power politics, there is far more to power politics than nationalism. So human beings in their self-centered state have their eyes fastened upon their own greedy endeavors and perhaps upon mere survival, totally ignoring the truth, the truth which cannot be seen in that self-centered state. No matter how much knowledge may be gained, the truth is never seen, because the truth is that heaven and earth are one.

The Garden of God is present in the earth, always has been, largely uninhabited. But the very moment that there are inhabitants of the Garden of God, which is in the earth, then the Garden of God begins to become apparent in the earth. There are people living in it. It may not be seen by most to be the case but it actually is the case. It was true with respect to the Master when He was on earth. He was just about the sole inhabitant of the Garden at that time. Who else knew it? Apparently scarcely anyone, but it was the truth of the matter. He was in the Garden and He never left the Garden—witness the so-called resurrection. He was never anywhere else but in the Garden. The appearance was that He was in the tomb. It was that appearance because human beings live in the tomb, in the grave. That's what they see; that's all they see. They see and exist in a nonexistent state. The nonexistent state is the earth separate from the heaven. The earth wouldn't exist if it were separate from the heaven; therefore it can't be. But human beings exist on earth as though it were. That is a state of self-delusion, isn't it, complete self-deception, inhabiting an imaginary world full of problems, dream state, more of a nightmare state. Have you ever struggled to solve problems in your dreams? It doesn't work too well, does it? The best way is to wake up—no more dream problems, nothing to be solved!

We have accepted, presumably, the responsibility of wakefulness, that the Word of the Lord may be spoken on earth because there are prophets on earth. We have a different view of the meaning of the word prophet. Amongst other things, it is a very profitable condition. The Word of the Lord is spoken on earth to the dry bones and there comes a shaking. Did any of you notice that? In various ways you have been shaken, but the world of mankind is certainly being shaken nowadays. Why? Just by chance? “Oh it's always been like this.” It's always been like this, yes, but not so intense as it is now becoming and not in a situation where there is the action of God on earth now appearing. The action of God on earth appeared through those who were called Israelites of old to a certain extent. Their presence certainly shook things up in that area of the earth's population, but it didn't go very far. It didn't come to the point where there was a general recognition, with respect to the promised land, that it was anything other than a little area of material habitation; and that stuck, rigid state of consciousness has persisted even to this day. “The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein”; and when the Word of the Lord is spoken on earth the fact that the earth is the Lord's immediately begins to become apparent.

We're not particularly interested in solving the world's problems, or even our own for that matter. We certainly would offer human beings everywhere a Happy New Year. I doubt if too many will accept it. We won't wish it on them or try to impose it. It depends upon human reaction, reaction to the Word of the Lord spoken on earth. Let's make very sure that the Word of the Lord is spoken on earth! When it is, we find that is all that is necessary. There is a shaking and bone comes to his bone. We see it happening, a skeleton taking form. Which bones happen to be shaken first, come together first, is the business of the Word of the Lord. There is of course a reason as to why certain ones in certain places on earth do find themselves being shaken and coming together. It's not by chance. According to the media, and therefore according to human views in many places, South Africa, for instance, is a bad place—apartheid there; terrible thing! And yet it is a place where the bones are coming together. Interesting, isn't it? The LORD is not interested in human judgments or appearances. He is simply interested in letting what is right appear in the fulfilment of His purpose. Human concepts about justice or anything else mean utterly nothing.

Let the Word of the Lord be spoken and all things are made new. What is necessary in the unfoldment of that newness will come to pass. We may observe it coming to pass. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2020/01/a-great-company-without-number-grace.html] We certainly will be involved with respect to some of the events that occur in that coming to pass, but we rightly, as sons and daughters of God, live in the Garden of Eden. The Garden of Eden includes Eden, the earth. We live on earth, but in the Garden on earth. That is the only real place to be. If one imagines one can live simply on the earth without regard to the Garden, one will find out that it doesn't work, as human beings have been finding out generation after generation for twenty thousand years. It seems that people are slow to learn. Trying to live on earth as though the Garden weren't on earth is to die, because it's an unreal state; it doesn't exist, and so anyone who insists upon staying in that state finally finds out that he doesn't exist. All very logical! But living in the Garden on earth, we do live, but in a real state, something that is factual and not imaginary.

Living in the Garden on earth, the Word of the Lord is spoken. And when the Word of the Lord is spoken there is a shaking, and by reason of that shaking things come together and things fall apart—both! Our concern is with the things that are coming together. Whatever falls apart should fall apart—let it go! And so we may share in the creative purposes of God on earth, the action of God on earth.

The Creative Word

The  Creative  Word

Martin Cecil   March 27, 1957

If we are to be in position to play our part in that creative work to which God has called us we must all actively participate in the creative cycles which are moving. We must all be aware, at least in some measure, of what it is that is moving, and we all need to experience the results of the movement of the creative cycle through ourselves.

It is sometimes imagined that, somehow or other, those who are responsible for God's creative work on earth can establish direct and controlled creative cycles that are operating in relationship to the needs out there beyond somewhere, as though the operator, so to speak, were entirely separate from the creative cycles that are in operation. Of course that is not true. Whatever needs to be done must be done through those who have the responsibility of allowing the extension of the creative cycles into the world to others. If we recognize that there is something to be achieved out there in the world—a tremendous undertaking—how is it going to be done? Are we going to be able to gather together in our hands, so to speak, sufficient power to project it out there in order to accomplish something in relationship to the world? No, it does not work that way. It works through us; that is, if we accept the responsibilities of our Ministry in the Name of the LORD. That which needs to work out out there must work out in here first; and as it works out in relationship to the point of focalization, it may extend then out into the world. But it is not something separate from ourselves. Therefore it is evident that we need to have an understanding of what it is that is unfolding in relationship to ourselves, because then we can see how that cycle works in relationship to those on out beyond.

With respect to creative cycles, we know that there are what Ezekiel spoke of as “wheels within wheels.” We might consider, for instance, one Creative Day as it is described in the Book of Genesis. We know that that Creative Day is considerably longer than twenty-four hours, and within the scope of that Creative Day there were sub-cycles working, and within the scope of the sub-cycles there were other smaller cycles still, and so on. But the same principles operate in relationship to all true creative processes. We recognize, for instance, in relationship to our own Program, that there is a large cycle including all of you and many others. With respect to that cycle there is the necessity for movement in it and the experience of progress and change. Such things have been unfolding over the years. But in relationship to the specific requirements of our Ministry there are numerous points where sub-cycles are properly initiated. We cannot really separate any cycle in the Divine Pattern from any other. They are all part of one thing. As a cycle is initiated, or what we have called a sub-cycle, we recognize that no matter what went before, no matter what is unfolding in other cycles, in relationship to the one that is being initiated the creative principles find application. Even though those creative principles may have been recognized as finding application in relationship to some other cycle, they must be seen again always with respect to the one that is being initiated.

In many places in the Bible we have mention made of the Word, and of the importance of words. In the 107th Psalm, for instance, it is recorded in one of the verses: “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” “He sent his word, and healed them.” In this we may recognize again that the Word is vitally important to creative processes. In fact there is no healing at any time in relationship to anyone except on the basis of the Word of God. “He sent his word, and healed them.” That is the only way by which healing takes place. We also have our Master's own expression: “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Life itself is dependent upon the Word of God.

Human beings, when they think about words, consider primarily the form which is made manifest in sound. Perhaps there might be consideration given to the written word also, but with respect to creative processes we are primarily concerned with what is said. “And God said…” “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God”—the spoken word. That which man recognizes or assumes to be the spoken word is actually not the Word. It is a word taking form at this level of being. It is fortunate indeed that man's words are not actually the Creative Word. They have an effect, it is true, and they have been involved in the process which has produced the chaos and confusion in the world, but man's words of themselves are not creative words. The Word itself, the true Word, is an invisible thing. We have seen, for instance, how the word Word, used in the 1st chapter of the Gospel according to John, refers to Shekinah, or the Christ, that which expresses from God. God is not left Word-less just because His words are not spoken so that human beings may hear them, understand and comprehend them on earth. The Word of God, then, is spoken by God, and the true Word is consequently, insofar as man is concerned, an invisible thing. But if there is to be a creative process in the Divine sense out here on earth the Creative Word must take form out here on earth; it must be spoken at the level where the creative cycle is supposed to operate. All the vibrational factors of the Creative Word of God, as it has specific application to His creative cycles here on earth, properly come to focus in the form of words which are brought forth through man.

This morning, in one of the classes, I pointed out that the words used in the Motherland Tongue were not arbitrary things established by man. Of course they were not, because in the beginning man was Divine Man and he was not functioning self-actively, separate from God. Therefore he was not imposing anything upon God. That which was of God was brought forth through man according to the Divine Design, under the Divine Control. Therefore all the vibrational factors which specifically applied to some certain word which needed to be given form on earth came to focus and the Word itself revealed the essences of that which was focalized. I used the illustration of the word God. Human beings use the word “God” in a multitude of different ways, and the concepts which human beings hold with respect to God are many and varied. There is a tangled pattern of distortion with respect to man's understanding of God. Therefore the word “God” itself is not a true symbol; it is something which man has arbitrarily established insofar as the English language is concerned. If we spoke some other language we would use some other word. But there is just One Word that is a true symbol of God, of the actuality of God, the reality of God, the truth of God. Of course until the vibratory field is clear insofar as man is concerned, so that the truth is established there, and all the vibratory factors which come to focus in that which truly is God in the Word which should be used to reveal the truth of God, that word which does so reveal the truth cannot be spoken, it cannot be known. So the words that man actually uses are not true symbols of that which comes to focus in relationship to them, because insofar as man generally speaking is concerned, that which comes to focus in relationship to His word is a tangle of distortions. It is not the reality. It is not the true thing. And so man's words, no matter what his language may be, are substitute symbols. Because of the variety of concepts, because of the variety of states of human beings, the variety of patterns in which man functions, we have a variety of terms, in a variety of languages. But rightly speaking there is only one language, the Motherland Tongue, and in the Motherland Tongue the truth comes to focus in relationship to that which needs to be expressed and the Word that is brought forth focalizes the essences of that which has been brought to focus, and the spoken word then is the starting point for a true creative process.

We have taken note of the record in the Book of Genesis, where it speaks of Adam having all the animals parade past him and he gave them all names. And it seems to human beings rather a foolish picture. But here was the creative process by which all that should appear on the surface of the earth was being given form. The cycle by which it might take form was being initiated, and the truth with respect to each specific creative form to be came to focus first in a word, the Word which focalized the true essence of that which was to appear in form. The vibratory factors were all established from the Divine standpoint; they were invisible, nothing made manifest yet. These vibratory factors were to be brought to focus in man, who was the instrument for God's creative processes on earth; and the first requirement in relationship to the bringing forth of the true forms, according to the Divine Design and under God's control, was through the Spoken Word. Human beings, having functioned so long in self-activity, find it hard to comprehend. It seems as though man would just have to think up a name for this particular animal, we will say, that was going to be brought forth. He might see the vibratory factors in relationship to it and, having seen the vibratory factors, he would figure out: “Now what would be a good name for that?” But it does not work that way. It was not man's responsibility to try to figure out anything. It was his responsibility to let the vibratory factors come to focus in himself so that they would bring forth through him the right word, which would contain and begin to give form to the essences of that which was being created.

Now I have been outlining this process for you in relationship to something that was of the far-distant past, in order that you might begin to see the principles involved, in order that you might begin to see how it works; because it was exactly the process by which anything that is of God can be brought forth now. The Creative Word is absolutely essential. For the time being we are using substitutes. In other words, that which is brought forth on the basis of the substitute will not and cannot be the final product; it will only be moving in the right direction. It will be an interim creation so that gradually, moving forward in the creative cycle so established, we may finally reach a point where it is possible for the vibratory factors in their pure essences to be brought to focus here on earth and bring forth the Creative Word in relationship to themselves. The Creative Word in that sense, in that ultimate sense of bringing forth that which is the perfect manifestation of the Divine Design on earth as God created His world to be—those creative words cannot be brought forth now; they could not exist now. We could not speak them now. As has so often been emphasized, that which would be perfect in the ultimate state, if it were arbitrarily established now would be imperfect, it would not be right. It would not work anyway; it could not appear. The delicate vibratory factors involved could not be brought forth in the harsh, disturbed condition that is present in this distorted world at the present time. There is much of substance itself which cannot manifest in the world as it now is, substance which was used originally when the world was first created and Divine Man was functioning correctly on earth. That which human beings do in their self-activity, their conflicts, their harsh, hard attitudes, their unfeelingness in relationship to things Divine, would simply prevent any such manifestation; or, if it appeared, such self-activity would destroy it quickly, even as it has been destroyed. That is why it is not here.

So words are vitally important, and we remember what our Master said: “By thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” If we are to allow any creative cycle to work, to unfold, and to bring forth that for which it was initiated, we must realize that words play a vital part in that process. If we allow distorted vibratory factors out of the world to be brought to focus in ourselves, so that words are brought forth through us giving form to the essences of those evil vibratory patterns, then we are doing that which destroys the beginning manifestation of such expression of Divine Form that can appear at this point if it is protected. And here we begin to see the necessity for the reestablishment of the hedge as something stable and consistent—the hedge round about, and within which the developing patterns of things Divine are safe. They are not safe when the spoken word gives focus to the essences of the evil vibratory patterns in the world. Therefore I trust you can see clearly how vitally important it is that we should only allow to come to focus in ourselves that which will bring forth in the Spoken Word something that is true to the Divine Essences. Only that will maintain the atmosphere in which things Divine can develop and grow. “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” Consequently we recognize that it is essential we should be pure in heart. If at any point any of you find yourselves responding in the wrong direction, so that something out of the world begins to come to focus in you of the distorted vibratory patterns, there is the necessity of course for repenting quickly. But above all, do not let it take form in words; for, taking form in words, it begins to bring it out into the creative field where the the Garden of God is growing, and there is destruction. The Word of God heals. “He sent his word, and healed them, and saved them from their destructions,” the destructions which result from the unpolarized, self-active words of man. The world is full of words—human beings talking, giving focalized expression to the essences of the unreal constantly. The world is full of noise, a shattering and a destructive thing.

It is needful that there should be a protected place somewhere on earth where the Garden of God may grow, where only the Word of God is spoken and the essences of the unreal find no opportunity to take form in words. Gradually, then, the atmosphere may be established, coming out of the winter of man's self-activity into the springtime which leads to summer, the summertime where the atmosphere is such that the things of God can grow profusely without fear of destruction. We are just emerging into the time when there may be re-established on earth a point through which the Creative Word may again be spoken on earth, so that the things of God may begin again to take form on earth. Are we going to let it be meaningful, let it bring forth what it may and should? Are we going to share together in providing that creative instrument through which the Word of God may be spoken, so that He may send His Word to heal the children of men, and to heal His world here on earth, and to save them from their destructions?

“Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” As you begin to see these things, and comprehend them, the words of that verse take on new meaning. “Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” Here they are working. Shall we share in letting the fulfilment come? Shall we remember these things which we have considered this evening in the days to come, so that we only permit the essences of things Divine to come to focus in relationship to ourselves? As we do that, our words will be truly creative, bringing forth the things of God in His Garden committed to our care and keeping. Let us dress the Garden and keep it, living by every Word which proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Repose Peace Serenity—Be Still And Know

 Repose  Peace  Serenity

Be  Still  And  Know

YouTube  Audio

Uranda  March 27, 1954 p.m.

As we gather here at the close of another week, Saturday evening, March 27, 1954, we thank God for the privilege of another hour of meditation. Let us begin with a moment of devotion: Our Gracious LORD, we thank Thee for the privilege of centering in that which centers Thee, for Thy Centering is the Center of all that is. And as we share Thy Centering we share with thee that which Center is, that here on earth Almighty God may act through the working of the Spirit in man; for we would let Thy Word be translated into the sounds which may be heard here on earth, and we would let the acts that find their beginnings in the Most High extend out through us in action here on earth. As a stone dropped in the center of a pond causes the rippling waves which shall reach to every part of the shore line, so does Thy action in the Center of the Universe cause those waves of action which reach this shoreline of the Cosmos, and we would let those waves of action appear because we live, centered in Thee, sharing Thy Centering, and sharing Center with Thee; “For Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory, forever.” Aum-en.

In our meditations we have recognized the vital importance of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, or the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, in relationship to ourselves in this day and time, not that we may attain blessings unto ourselves, but that we may receive the Power necessary to the manifestation of God's Blessings to others, the extension of Divine action into the earth through man. We know that man was created in the image and likeness of God, not to the end that man might imitate God, but that, in very fact, man might permit the extension into the earth of Divine action in thought, in word and in deed. Man's consciousness has been slow to comprehend the significant difference between trying to be God-like, and letting the likeness of God appear. As long as man feels it incumbent upon himself to try to think as he thinks God would think, to try to act as he thinks God would act, to try to speak as he thinks God would speak, we must of necessity have among the earnest and sincere ones a vast amount of confusion; for each, then, must interpret the concept of Divine action according to his own vision and belief. But when there are those among the earnest and sincere ones who are willing to let that which God thinks extend through the capacities of their minds into the earth, those who will let the Divine word appear as it originates in the Father, those who will let the action of the Almighty extend through themselves in deeds on earth, we begin to have a condition on earth wherein it is possible to follow our LORD and KING.

The human mind imagines that it must know so much, comprehend so much, and judge so many things. But the learning essential to the mind is this: that it may learn to be still, not producing its own waves; that it may receive the waves which God produces. When man is so busy splashing upon the surface of his own consciousness that he produces waves which seem good to himself, he is not capable of distinguishing therein the waves which come from the Mind of God. This process by which the things of God come down out of Heaven into the earth seems to man to be complex and difficult; it seems to man to require more of him than he feels capable of accomplishing. Nevertheless, there are some who make the effort according to their concepts. Yet, the true accomplishment depends upon something which extends from God to man and through man, that there may be an uninterrupted means by which that which originates in the Most High may come into form in this level of creation.

Tonight I drew your attention to the principle as illustrated by the waves upon the surface of a pond. Suppose the air is still, in the sense of the wave-producing wind, and suppose some children are playing upon the shore of the little lake, heedlessly splashing one another. But, suppose some force invisible to the children agitates the water in the center of the pond and the rippling waves begin to flow from center outward toward the shore. The children, making waves, are not likely to see or know the waves which were so made. This principle was illustrated at the time of the Master by the Pool of Bethesda, for the story goes that at a certain time an angel agitated, or troubled, the waters in the pool, whereupon the first to enter the pool would be healed. And there was a certain man who had long sought to enter the pool when it was agitated, but because he was incapable of prompt movement someone else always got there ahead of him. But the Master, by His Spirit, agitated the pool within the man himself, and he entered that pool, not holding back but accepting the waves from Center into his own body and mind and heart; for there is a Pool of Bethesda within each one, a means by which the movement established by the Angel of God may extend into the realm of physical form.

We have recently come face to face with the realization that it is not necessary to delay longer, that no further special preparations are necessary, at least not from the standpoint of God's provision. Since all is in readiness from God's standpoint, all that remains is for man to receive that which is in readiness. We have recognized that trust, as one of the aspects of Love, must be present before there can be that repose, or peace, or serenity which will permit the Divinely established waves to reach the surface of man's consciousness in a manner which will let man perceive them. These waves do reach us, but they are so inter- mingled with waves of man's own making that man does not perceive them. In order to reach a state where man may perceive them, and thereby be in position to respond to them, man must cease trying to produce the waves which he conceives to be good imitations of the waves which he imagines to be from God.

Man imagines that God makes certain waves which extend from the Throne of God to the borderline between Heaven and earth, but that these waves from God are becoming very, very tiny with hardly any strength left in them, when they reach this borderline between Heaven and earth. Here, man must strain himself to see such waves as there may be, and, with his own strength and in his own understanding, he must intensify the waves from God that they may reach into the earth, for God's waves cannot come into the earth unless man makes them do so. Perhaps man does not reason in just so many words, but he acts according to this concept. Man, having his attention centered upon external things, and the necessity of his own efforts within the range of those things, feels that he must do that which will permit God to act on earth. In one sense this is true, but man's interpretation of that which must be done has for so long been at fault, for man must come to the point of serenity, of repose, where the surface of his own consciousness is not being self-actively agitated.

Human beings say, “I try, yet I have this resentment, I have that fear. If I do not hold to such and such an idea, someone is likely to impose upon me, some are likely to do some- thing I do not want them to do. So much might happen if I do not keep control and impose my will with all my might upon those round about me. I do not dare to become completely still, for someone would surely take advantage of me, and then it would be too bad.” And while you work to keep someone from taking advantage of you, you likewise prevent God from taking advantage of your capacities, for until you come to rest at the table which He prepares in the presence of your enemies you cannot receive that which He provides.

These things have for so long prevented the manifestation of accord, agreement, oneness. In some respects you do not quite trust one another, so you must remain alert lest those around you take advantage of you, even though you know that such action keeps God from taking advantage of you, of the fact that you live on earth. Actually, we are here to let God take advantage of the fact that we are here. I find my greatest joy in letting God take advantage of me, take advantage of the fact that my body and my mind and my heart are       here in the realm where you are. If it were not so, I could not convey to you the current of the Spirit of Truth by which you may be sanctified.

The one place where you must be with one accord is in consciousness—no movement produced by self-active heart or mind, so that, to the depths of your being, the mirror-smoothness of serenity may appear, no blowing of self-active winds, that He may lead you beside the still waters, for it is when you are led by the still waters that He restoreth your soul. Whom do you distrust? Of whom are you suspicious? Toward whom must you remain on guard? Down through the ages, when quietness begins to so appear that one may hear, there come the simple words, “Be still, and know that I am God.” “Be still and know.” But human beings say, ‘I cannot be still. I have to move and agitate, or I would be nothing. I have to protect myself. I must do this, I must do that. When the conditions are changed so that it is safe for me to be still, then I will be still.” But how shall the Power manifest to make conditions safe if you are not first still, regardless of the conditions? If we would be with one accord in one place, there must be a new acceptance of personal responsibility in relationship to the matter of being still.

Now, perchance, someone, somewhere, receives the impulse of the Spirit through these words and says to himself, “This is the teaching which I like. Spring fever is upon me and I would cease action. I would indeed be still.” The first time you truly become still you let the waves from God reach you without your having interfered with their nature, and the moment you are still you will find that the surface of consciousness is not still. Your stillness does not make you still. When you are still from the self-activity of heart and mind you are, in that moment, open to the activity of God and His Spirit. If you say, “But I have tried to be still, to enter the silence, to do all kinds of things so that I might know what comes from God, and it does not work,” if you think it does not work it is only because you have not yet become still.

“Be still and know.” Nowhere in all creation is there absolute stillness except at the Center of all Being, and yet there is a stillness which is not stillness. If I had come before you tonight incapable of letting mind and heart be still I could not have spoken to you in the current of the Spirit.

Did you ever take a little child outdoors where birds were building a nest and, in some more or less hidden place, say to the little one, “Now be still and watch?” And the little one tried so hard to be still, and tried so hard to see, and tried so hard to listen, and wiggled and squirmed because he was trying hard to be still. If, in such a moment, the child stopped trying to see and just watched to see what could be seen, soon the actions of the birds would let him see. But if he tried to see, he would frighten them away and not see what he could have seen.

So it is with human beings. They say, “I would be still so that I can see what is coming from God.” Where are you going to see what is coming from God? Where are you going to stop it, so that you may  see it? Are you going to let it come into the silences of your inner soul and hold it there, accumulated, so that you may see it? It will not come in such fashion. You may think it does but it will not be what you think it is. Where will you see that which comes from God? You will see it after it has taken form in the physical realm of being, not somewhere inside of you, but after the word is spoken you will hear it; after the action has taken form you will see it. Where do you expect to see it? In some realm before it has formed? If you are looking there, you will look in vain. Be still, and let it come into the realm of form, and you will perceive it after it is in form.

Heavenly Father, we thank Thee that we may safely trust Thee with the working of Thy Spirit in the invisible realms, for Thou hast given us perception that we may see and comprehend the working of Thy Spirit in the visible realms, and we would Serve Thee in that place and manner ordained of Thee, letting that which is of Thee appear on earth, “For Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory, forever.” Aum-en.

Sign Of The Son Of Man In Heaven

Sign  Of  The  Son  Of  Man  In  Heaven

Martin Exeter   January 26, 1986 p.m.

How could we describe what it is that needs emphasis? I think there are some words that are familiar to us out of the Bible, namely: “The sign of the Son of Man in heaven.” This was something that was prognosticated should occur—the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. What would this sign of the Son of Man in heaven be if not Lucifer restored? Here is where the emphasis needs to be laid. It is not going to be laid there by the press, I don't think. Well, who is going to do it then? Presumably those who are aware of and understand the necessity for this sign to be present. We, I am sure, are willing in this moment to let Lucifer be restored to heaven. There could be no sense in failing to allow this to happen. We may be able to see it, understand it and accept it more easily when we are gathered as we are now and directly bringing these things to focus, but of course it only becomes emphasized when what is needful is done. It doesn't become emphasized because we think about it, talk about it, nod our heads in agreement possibly, but because the sign of the Son of Man is in heaven on earth. So we have become, I am sure, keenly aware of our own responsibility in this matter.

We have been considering something of the emerging design in heaven on earth. This morning we particularly emphasized the matter of the elders, [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2020/08/the-elders-martin-exeter-26-1986-i-am.html] because special reference was made to this in what we have recognized as something of a blueprint for the restoration. It was indicated there were four and twenty elders. The number is of interest perhaps, because it is twice twelve. One could look at that in various ways. One could deem that it related to the number of people, or one could deem that it related to the quality and characteristics that are required of the people concerned. Numbers may have a significance as symbols of what may be necessary in the accomplishment of the particular purposes, in this case of the four and twenty elders who are situated round about the throne of God in heaven—the throne which was set in heaven, upon which someone sat. That throne in heaven doesn't have much connection with the earth unless a provision is made so that there may be that connection. At least partly, the provision is portrayed in this number of elders round about the throne.

In considering such things it is not for the purpose of developing some satisfactory emissary concepts—this has been done already and I think we could leave them behind—but for the purpose of opening a door to understanding, as the understanding is necessary in one's own experience. There is a design and there are those who properly play their parts in that design. This design relates to the creative process, and we are responsible for letting this creative process be brought out of heaven into the earth. We can't do that if we are not aware of what the design of that creative process is as it relates to ourselves individually. The concepts that people develop relate usually to some sort of collective viewpoint, as though one could stand back and observe this design in heaven and consequently assume an attitude of know-it-all. But it doesn't work that way. Nobody knows what the design is unless the individual concerned is participating in the process by which this design emerges. And it is for each one to become aware of what the design is as it relates to him-or herself. There are those who have, in times past at least, expected someone else to appoint them to some particular position. There are those who have looked to me to indicate who was what in the design, but that is not particularly my business. What is my business is to know where my own point of expression belongs in the design; I can know that myself. But then the same thing is necessary for all others, if they are going to participate in the design. They don't participate in it because someone tells them that they should be there or here or somewhere else, but because this emerges into their own experience.

In order to facilitate this emergence we may consider something of the design the way we have as it relates to the elders, for instance, because here obviously is a portrayal of something which is stable, trustworthy, consistent, always in place, and presumably wise. This is some sort of definition of an elder, providing a setting for the throne of authority in heaven and the focus of spirit which may then emerge into action. Speaking of elders, we saw that this necessarily related to earthly age, because we couldn't quite determine what angelic age is. There are no restrictions of that sort in that field, but there are certainly in human experience as it presently is known, and so it does relate to something which necessarily, or rightly, emerges on earth, because heaven is on earth. And the characteristics that one would deem to be fitting for elders would relate to what I have just said, something trustworthy, something consistent.

We can think of this in particular with respect to those older folk—I suppose I'm included amongst these—who have been associated with the truth as it has been brought to focus by reason of the Emissary ministry. There are quite a number of older people who have been associated in this way over many, many years. There are certainly some who have been associated longer consciously than I have, and they are still around. They can still be depended upon to be there. It is possible that some have reached a level of understanding where they have been inclined to stay. Everybody has the opportunity to decide if there is to be such a level of understanding beyond which one is not all that interested to go—that is quite all right. As I say, there may be some such in the elders as are present with respect to what has occurred in the unfoldment of this Body, but they are still around, they are still there. They are still consequently classifiable as trustworthy. Because they function at a certain level of understanding, they are not in position to see beyond the level where they function. This is true of anyone. It is not only older people who sometimes stop off at some particular chosen level, but anyone can do—and anyone has done it!—which is quite all right if there is an awareness that this is what has happened, so that one does not judge or interfere with something which is beyond that level. Obviously, if one has stopped off at some level, somebody has to go beyond it. We have to allow the fulfilment of what we are here to do. Somebody has to allow it to happen.

There is a certain choice on the part of the mind and the heart as to how far they are going to go, but if they go so far and they find a more or less satisfactory level within the larger Body, that is quite permissible. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2019/03/rhythm-of-seasons-of-god-from-price-of.html] I would trust that there are those who are going to go beyond, because we would never get anything done if they didn't. But if there is that, then those who function at such a level, whether they are elders or anybody else, need to be honest enough to recognize that there is more beyond their experience than they know. I don't think it is difficult for that to be admitted by anyone at any level. There is more to be experienced—so the majority, I trust, are not slowing down and getting comfortable and putting their feet up. And I don't really feel that it is necessary for the elders to do this either.

If there is a recognition of a certain level, whether one is going to settle down at that level or whether one is going to continue on, then what is beyond that level of experience and understanding should not be denied by an attitude of judgment which doesn't really understand what it is that is happening beyond that level. So that is a factor for anyone, which needs to be taken into account in one's attitude toward what is going on. Judgments tend to enter in, don't they? And there is speculation, perhaps even gossip, about things which are not within the range of understanding yet. Why would it not be possible just to leave those things absolutely alone, so that whatever needs to happen can do so without any interference from an ignorant person, a person who is at a certain level and in no position to participate in what is happening, other than to let it happen? Presumably most are interested in allowing this emergence to continue to take place, so that there is a movement from level to level to level, and we may come to an understanding. The more we understand, the less we are concerned about trying to pin things down, the less we are concerned with wondering after the beast, wondering, “What is it that so-and-so is going to do, and what is going to happen? Oh, there is something else happening over there, and it is a little bit scary; we don't know quite what is going to occur.” Why couldn't one just do a little trusting and allow the unfoldment to take place? We are dealing with this creative cycle, the creative process, universal creative process. Is it so hard to trust that? It's done pretty well in the universe! Might it possibly be able to do pretty well in our rather minuscule affairs if we would let it?

So there is the necessity of being honest with oneself as to the level of one's understanding and not trying to go beyond what one understands, concerning oneself with things that are none of one's business. I suppose you could say that as a part of the Body it is all one's business, but not in the sense that one has to know all the details of everything that is going on. I certainly am not interested in knowing all the details of everything that is going on. There are people with rather peculiar states of mind and heart who indulge in this sort of thing, but it is so much easier and freer and happier and delightful to let it all work out the way it is working out. If we need to know something we will know it; and if we don't know something, maybe it is because we don't need to know it. I suppose one of the reactions that appears every now and again is: “Why wasn't I told?” Well, I come upon things in my own experience, things that are happening, that nobody told me about. “Oh, I should make a case out of that; I should have been informed!” Well, the point was: I wasn't, but now I know. Okay. Can't we all cast ourselves in that sort of role and experience.

There is something coming down from God out of heaven when there is room enough to receive it. In order that there may be room enough to receive, the sign of the Son of Man must be in heaven, Lucifer must be in heaven and not fiddling and fussing around with all the eruptions out of the subconscious hereditary mind. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2021/06/lucifer-in-heaven.html] It requires a deliberate relinquishment of those things which introduce such fussing, because as long as the conscious mind can be caused to fuss about such things it is trapped; it is held in the earth where it doesn't belong. It has been in the earth so long, historically speaking, that it deems all the things that it is concerned about in the earth to be the reason for its presence in the earth. Well, it is the reason why it is held in the earth, but its presence doesn't belong in the earth. And as soon as these weights are relinquished, whish! up it goes into heaven where it belongs, and from that perspective what needs to be seen can be seen, and there is a far larger understanding in consequence.

There is so much that is available to be received. What was it the Master said long ago? “I have many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.” He said that to His disciples. What can we bear? How are we going to handle sacred things if they come into our hands? Well, we have lots of practice day by day in this, but what is your record in this matter? One has to see it for oneself. Don't expect me or somebody else to say, “You have got a very poor record.” That is something you need to know if that is the way it is; something can be done about it then.

Let the conscious mind ascend into heaven because it no longer will let itself be trapped by the subconscious mind in the earth; and that trapping relates to the way things are seen. If they are seen in a judgmental way, if it is imagined that consciously one understands all these things, the trap is already sprung. If there has been a suggestion that we should admit that we don't know how things should be or what should happen and who should behave how, it is for the purpose of relinquishing subjection to the subconscious mind, which is well structured and will dictate, to any conscious mind that will listen, as to the way things should be, how everybody else should behave, and as to all the things they have done wrong. You could really go to town on Colonel Khadafy! [Vladimir Putin, these days] There is a safe one, because he's way out there somewhere.

Discord is the evidence of conscious subjection to the subconscious mind, and discord leads in the way of dying, to the finality of death. Accord leads to life, and the evidence of accord is the experience of love. Why should the conscious mind be so interested in finding things of discord?—and justifying discord, mind you! Would it not be possible just to let it go? There is a basis for accord in heaven, so that is where the conscious mind needs to be, the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. As I say, the news of this will not be provided by the media, for a while anyway, so it is provided when it is the fact, whether anyone yet acknowledges it as the fact or not. It must be the fact; then the sign of the Son of Man is in heaven and it would be found to be impossible to avoid seeing it. How widespread that seeing becomes is dependent upon how bright that sign is and how high in the heavens it goes. If it goes high enough it is available to be seen far and wide. If it is just starting up, then it is seen closer at hand, but it is seen anyway. We are not going to depend on the media to broadcast it somehow; they don't know what it is anyway; but we know. It is seen because the sign of the Son of Man is in heaven; that is, the conscious mind is in heaven, Lucifer restored. On that basis there is no shadow of turning, there is no necessity for judgment. Once the conscious mind is in heaven the true perspective is available, and I know that as you have let your conscious mind ascend somewhat into heaven you see a broader vision and you discover that there is no reason for judgment. Everything is the way it is, and actually the way it should be on the basis of all the factors involved. It won't stay that way if the sign of the Son of Man is restored to heaven.

Here is the way by which the good news is broadcast. Don't depend upon the subconscious mind to broadcast it; in other words, don't depend on the press or the other media. It's a personal responsibility, and it is a broadcast with which no one can interfere. Perhaps I should modify that statement. One can interfere with it oneself, but if the broadcast is present it becomes apparent. I think there has been a good deal of backpedaling in the Emissary ministry, so as to avoid allowing the sign of the Son of Man to become apparent to all concerned in the heaven on earth. I am not talking about imposing something on anyone, any more than when the sun rises in the morning it's an imposition. I suppose there are those who might translate it that way, interpret it that way, but it isn't really, is it? The sun isn't rising anyway; it's the earth turning, so it can't be an imposition. The sun is just there, that's all. And the earth turns this way and goes on around, and this is what human beings may do. But it is pretty hard when the sun rises to be unaware of it. So likewise with the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. It may have risen a little bit into the heaven, not very far, and some people are aware of it; but it is not sufficiently vivid and bright that they are—what should we say?—stunned by it.

Oh that wonderful sense of warmth that comes at the rising of the sun! Close your eyes and let the sun shine on your face in the early morning. That is wonderful; so likewise is the sign of the Son of Man. But it isn't up to anybody else, just to oneself, because none of us can take that sort of responsibility for somebody else. We can let it happen in our own experience individually speaking, and as we do, the sign of the Son of Man is restored to heaven, and very shortly mankind knows it. As I say, there are those who appreciate the rising of the sun, and maybe those who don't like it too well because they prefer the dark. So there are various reactions, weeping and wailing, as well as joy. We are not concerned so much about the reactions as about the output, the radiance of the Son of Man in heaven, because our conscious minds are there to accommodate it and to let it shine forth. When things are seen from heaven in that light there isn't anything that cannot be easily handled; there are no problems anymore. Oh, there may be things that we have to take care of here or there. That's fine, we will do it, but in no way will we behave in this fashion on earth so as to cause the fall of the conscious mind into the earth again. Let us be trustworthy. Let us provide this safe place in heaven on earth where the sign of the Son of Man is, that that may be there, the conscious mind in heaven consistently.

So we become aware of purpose, and we become aware of the One whose identity is made apparent by reason of the presence of Lucifer in heaven. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2021/06/lucifer-transparent-mind.html] The conscious mind accommodates the Son of God, and the Son of God is known. And that sign fills the heavens to the extent that it cannot be denied by anyone on the face of the earth. It may be welcomed by anyone, or it may be rejected by anyone, it may be a tribulation to anyone; but when it is in the heaven nobody can deny it, whatever the reaction might be. So we share something of a view of what we have spoken of as the restoration and of our own participation in it, and the awareness that comes as to why we are here, in a more specific sense. Not that we are merely here to let our light shine—we do that—but in the shining of the light there is specific identity and specific purpose and participation in that unified purpose, all one thing and all to the Glory of the One we love and know and represent increasingly in heaven on earth.
