A Focus Point Turned Always To The Father

A  Focus  Point  Turned  Always  To  The  Father

And  Never  To  The  World

Uranda   May 8, 1949

I am confronted with construction problems. I have talked to you before concerning the Machinery of Reality, and we have considered together that process of growth into the Stature of the Living Christ which would allow our Machinery in the earth to begin to function in the larger sense. The Body has recently been doing remarkably well. The spirit of diligence, application and faithfulness of service has been increasingly manifest, but the Body is still immature. The other evening I spoke about that process of growing through which the Master went, by which He had reached a maturity through which the Spirit of the Living Christ could find adequate expression. Growing takes time, and yet when there is plenty of moisture, plenty of the sunshine of Love, when conditions are right, growth can be rapid. The Master said that God seeks those who will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. The need for balance in this matter is very great. How much time is needed for the Body to mature?

We look at a human being, and we say that physically he will be mature somewhere from eighteen to twenty-one years, and that mentally he should begin to mature somewhere around thirty, and that as a human being he should begin to be reasonably mature in all aspects of life somewhere around forty. If it is going to happen at all—for there are many individuals who never mature—that fullness of maturity should appear by the age of forty. We have no precedent with respect to a Body. If we say that a Body can mature no more rapidly than individuals, then we must say that this Body, being about three years old, cannot be expected to do any better than it is doing; but I trust we do not have thirty-seven years to go before we have a reasonably mature Body! The Master cut the time from forty to thirty years for the maturing of a human being under conditions then. If, as a human being, He could mature by the age of thirty under those conditions, it seems to me that we should be able to mature as human beings at a much earlier age under the conditions now manifest. If human beings can mature by the time they are twenty-five or thirty, it seems to me that the Body, made up of many Members, of reasonably mature human beings, should be able to come to that maturity in a comparatively short time.

The Body the Master undertook to train did not reach maturity in three years, but it would rather appear that He expected His Body then, under those conditions, to mature in about three and one-half years. It did not do it—but it seems to me that the Master was reasonable in expecting that maturity to appear in such a time. If He expected that Body to mature in three and one-half years, what about in these conditions? We have the history of so-called Christianity behind us, the example of His own Life, the Reality of His Teaching, the history with respect to what happened afterward, and the LORD's provision in all of these points, and the presentation of Truth in the Current of His Love which I have been privileged to bring to you in His Name. It seems to me that this Body has had a much better opportunity than was given to the Body the Master worked with. It is true that they had His Presence—and such a Blessing cannot be measured or evaluated—nevertheless, we have the history of His Presence, and the opportunity to share in it Spiritually. We can look back, whereas the disciples had to look ahead without anything in the past to go on. Yes, I think we have a decided advantage over His disciples at that time.

This Body was born, as such, in the summer of 1946. The summer of 1949 is at hand. It is almost three years already. It is not my nature to complain to the LORD about the material He has given me to work with, either with respect to quality or quantity. With what He has given it has been, and is, my intention to get the job done. I have repeatedly emphasized our Master's words with respect to the test of discipleship: “If ye have love one to another ye shall be truly known as my disciples.” It has seemed to me that in the true working of the Law, in a Body of well polarized individuals, so that the Second Commandment might be truly fulfilled, the Body would find within itself a point of fusion.

Here we have a Body of many parts, and in the various parts or departments there are various focalizations which are functioning to varying degrees of excellence; but, as a matter of fact, as yet it is too much this part and that part and the other part. Under my influence those parts come together, are put together on the Altar, as it were, something after the order of a picture puzzle; but when one moves that jigsaw puzzle the parts come apart and it is again this part here and that part there—and there is not that degree of fusion that is necessary to give the strength required to hold in the powerful Current of the Spirit. We cannot arbitrarily put someone at some certain point and say, “You be the center.” We are not playing child's games, so that we may say, “You be IT,” or that we may have the position of IT held, first by one and then another, as if we played a game of tag. In whatever place or department, at whatever point of focus, IT must appear because of the reality of IT’s nature, and attunement in God. There is a point of focus that we may call IT, with respect to the various parts and departments, and in those parts or departments IT may be functioning very well. But if I step back, as it were, and look at the Body, searching in the Body for that focus of Being that provides IT for the Whole, I cannot find it.

I have provided it, and do—and from one standpoint it is properly my responsibility—but how is this Body to find a focus in itself? As a projected point come forth in the Name of the LORD, the Branches or the Members had to revolve around me during the process of formation, but I have been seeking for a long time to establish a condition in the Body which would permit me to stand back, as it were, not to cut my influence or Vibration or Love or Direction away from the Body, but to allow the manifest expression of the reality of a Body in relationship to which I might function as with an individual—a single thing brought to a point—a Body.

Now, it would be futile for those here to begin to strive for place, and to try to be in the position of centering the Body, that the Body might revolve around each Aspiring One. Such foolishness would lead to division. What I am seeking to do tonight is to help you to gain an individual vision of what the full Stature in Christ means, a greater vision of maturity, so that the Body, being a Body, may function effectively in relationship to the Father, Whose Representative I AM.

Now, inasmuch as no specific point has appeared from within the Body itself in this matter, it is needful that I undertake to help you individually and collectively, to recognize a point of focus, not merely as if it were focused in some one individual, but a point of focus vibrationally, in which all share but in which no one takes absolute dominance, a point that is constantly open to the influence of the Spirit, a point of focus that is turned always to the Father and that is never turned, in any moment, to the world—that open point of focus, vibrationally speaking, that is something invisible and yet real, in which each one may have a feeling share, a point where all meet, a point from which none turn away.

This Invisible Point of Blending, made up of all your Spiritual qualities, partakes of the maturity in each one, and, properly, any remaining immaturities in anyone should not touch it. This point is to be a focus, not of the immaturities and the unrealities, but a focus of the maturities and the realities in you—and when it is seen as Hallowed Ground, each one will take care not to defile it, not to inject into it that which does not belong there.

A centering of Spirit in the Body, which provides the constant contact point for the Spirit of our Father—such a Point is the Point of Union between Heaven and Earth. Such a Point is a focus of the best in all. Each one realizes that he or she alone could not, under any circumstance, provide that focus of the Whole in the absolute sense; therefore, each gives to that focus that which he or she is, and if this point of blending, vibrationally, is kept holy and pure, undefiled, if it is the Hallowed Meeting Place, then at that Point the various Aspects of the Spirit of reality in you find an invisible Point of Focus which has constant contact with the Father.

So it is that the positive outpouring of the Father's Love through that Point can find expression in and through each Member of the Body to the degree that each Member of the Body provides a part of that which is so focused. It is time for this Body to begin to mature, so that the adequate expression of the Spirit of the Living Christ may appear on earth.

O LORD of Lords and KING of Kings, I thank Thee for these Blessed Ones whom Thou hast given unto me, that they may, in Thy Name, be brought before Thy Throne to receive the Anointing of Thy Love, IN the Christ, that, being One Body IN Christ, they may let the fullness of Thy Spirit find expression on earth, that Thou mayest accomplish Thy Works on earth and cause Thy Kingdom to appear; for Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever. Aum-en.

Increasingly, circumstances will require the actuality of Oneness in the Body, so that Oneness between the Father and the Body may be a reality on earth which has meaning in daily life. It is the responsibility of this Body to remain attuned, functioning correctly, so that there may be a true Current of Radiation moving out into the world, to and through all who shall be responding, whosoever, wheresoever they may be. We carry a great responsibility. Each carries a great responsibility, and the Body has opportunity to prove that it is ready to let the Father do the Works, that its reality as a Body may be established on earth, to the Glory of God and to the Blessing of all who will receive.

Accomplishment cannot be of the scope and the power and the reality of the fullness of the Living Christ, except the Body, in maturity, allows the Current of the Living Christ to be made manifest on earth and released through its Members not present in person. I anticipate that it shall prove that the Body is a reality in the Name of the LORD of Lords and KING of Kings, so that it may be established that this is not merely a box containing many unrelated and unconnected parts, but that this is a Temple in which the Body of our LORD is made manifest. It is one or the other. It is for us to prove that it is Body.
