The Capstone of the Capstone
from Significance of Water Divining
Martin Cecil May 13, 1961
God created this world and
established life manifesting through physical form on the surface of the
planet, working out the whole pattern according to a very definite design, with
the crowning creation, man, at the apex to provide, as we recognize, facilities
for maintaining Divine dominion here on earth. There is presently what is
recognized as the so-called mineral kingdom, supposedly inert matter. Out of
that vibratory level of being springs the vegetable kingdom, giving greater
evidence of the manifestation of life in form. And out of the vegetable
kingdom, the animal kingdom—with man at the apex of creation here on earth,
designed to bring all these things to a point of focus.
We could use the symbol of a
pyramid to illustrate this pattern or design of creation—the pyramid, with the
layers at the base representing the mineral kingdom; and moving up from the
base levels, which extend fairly well up into the body of the pyramid, there
are the higher levels to represent the vegetable kingdom and, moving on up, the
animal kingdom. In the world as it now is, the design is no longer a pyramid,
because the capstone is missing. We have that portrayal in the Great Pyramid of
Gizeh, where the capstone is also missing. Man is not in place; therefore the
structure is not a pyramid—it is not a revelation of the true design. Man was created to be the
capstone, so that all that is present in the body of the pyramid might be drawn
to a point of apex in relationship to God. The capstone itself is a little
pyramid, exactly the same formation as the larger pyramid when the capstone is
in place. The capstone is a little pyramid, and when it is in place the whole
structure becomes a pyramid. The dominion of God was established through man in
relationship to this creation. In other words the dominion of God was to work
through the capstone in relationship to the whole body of the pyramid—the animal
kingdom, the vegetable kingdom and the mineral kingdom, all levels. In the
design of the capstone itself—mankind—the essential control pattern was
established so that that control could be extended to all the rest of creation
here on earth.
If we think of the capstone, we
can visualize the fact that the capstone itself has a capstone. The capstone of
the capstone was designed to provide dominion in relationship to the whole body
of the capstone—in other words those who compose the capstone of the capstone
had the responsibility of extending dominion over the rest of the capstone,
over the rest of the crowning creation, man. The capstone of the capstone
provided what we might now call the governmental control aspect with respect to
the body of mankind; it was in fact the head of the body of mankind. Moving down from the capstone of
the capstone, there would be succeeding layers in the capstone which would
correspond to the layers in the body of the pyramid as a whole, so that there
were those who were specifically responsible for that which was transpiring
creatively in the animal kingdom and in the vegetable kingdom and in the
mineral kingdom. Control was maintained through the capstone in relationship to
the whole body of the pyramid; and the capstone itself, within itself,
contained the control patterns in relationship to the rest of the pyramid and
also, of course, in relationship to the capstone itself, through the capstone
of the capstone.
Now we recognize that there are
those human beings who seem to have some sort of a facility with respect to the
mineral kingdom. There are those who have rather a special facility with the
vegetable kingdom. Others particularly are able to function effectively with
animals. Now this is all rather crude, because man has removed himself from the
position of the capstone and therefore what he does is done more or less
self-actively, and there is a good deal of confusion.
The contact between man and the
various levels of creation here on earth, the various so-called kingdoms, is
through the levels of the subconscious mind. All things have mind. Perhaps to
clarify a principle with which some of you no doubt are already familiar, we
might consider the atom of which all physical substance is composed. The
structure of the atom has been examined by human beings—not directly of course,
but by indirect means—and it has revealed itself as being composed of a
nucleus, with electrons revolving around the nucleus in some way. Of course
there is far more to an atom than that, but at least it establishes the basic
principle. They have more recently been probing into the protons, of which the
nucleus is composed, and there is another something or other, called a neutron,
which is more or less indistinguishable from a proton, except by reason of the
fact that it has no electrical potential; it is neutral. In probing into the
proton and the neutron, they find that within the proton there is another
nucleus—and so we go from one to the next!—wheels within wheels, positive
centers within positive centers. In the case of the proton, it is assumed that
there is not only this nucleus, with a positive charge in the proton, but the
atmosphere which surrounds this positive charge is also positive, so that the
end result is that there is a positive charge in relationship to the protons in
the atom. In the case of the neutron there is a positive charge—the same as in
the proton—in the nucleus of the neutron but the atmosphere is negative, and
the positive and the negative cancel each other out in this case, so there is
electrical neutrality. These things which are being discovered are interesting.
But there is also an atmosphere of the nucleus of the atom, something which
shines forth from the nucleus into and around and through the electrons. Whatever
that is, we can call it mind. What is a proton? Well, they are trying to find
out but they are no wiser actually. It is said that here is a positive charge
of electricity. What does it mean? What is it? It is described sometimes as a
particle and at other times it is a wave. What is it?
We are beginning to penetrate,
then, when we get down to this level, into something which, as has been
discovered, does not work quite the same way as the things that we know here
where we were designed to function; there begins to be movement into a more or
less intangible realm, where nothing stays put or shows itself as being
anything particularly. Things keep changing shape and nature constantly, and
human beings find it harder and harder to get hold of anything. They give these
things names, but because a thing has a name certainly does not mean that
anyone knows what it is.
Mind, then, is present in physical
substance, all physical substance, because it is that which radiates forth from
the nucleus of the atom. But that which is radiating forth from the nucleus of
the atom is hardly comparable to things which we know here in this level where
we function, and while it is present with physical substance, geographical
position has little meaning when we begin to reach into such levels of being.
Thought—we can move hither and yon from the standpoint of thought. From the
standpoint of spirit there is no distance in the sense that we understand
distance physically speaking. Human beings have become so accustomed to looking
at things from the limited standpoint of physical manifestation that they begin
to get lost when there is movement into other realms.
We recognize that there is
something which is called telepathy, that subconscious mind makes contact with
subconscious mind. These telepathic contacts are not limited to human beings;
they obviously function in relationship to animals. The other day when we made
a little tour of the Ranch on my birthday, we went to look at the chickens.
Frank was in with them there and calling to them. When he went to kneel down, I
don't know whether you noticed but all the chickens in unison made a sudden
movement. It was not just one chicken made a movement and then the next, and
the next, and the next, down the line; it was an instantaneous thing. What
caused it all to happen at the same moment? This telepathic contact of which I
speak, between the various levels of the subconscious mind. Now, they were all
in the vicinity of each other but separated from each other by space—the
chickens. So it was not consequent upon physical contact that there was this
concerted movement. You may have watched a company of birds in the air flying
and how they all move and change direction like one thing. They don't bump into
each other. There is a unification on the basis of the subconscious levels of
the mind.
It is possible to establish a
pattern of attunement with physical substance. Actually, in the creative
processes according to the Divine Design, what would now be considered to be
inert physical substance was manipulated and used in various ways without
necessarily any physical contact with it. Attunement must be established for
any such thing to be achieved. There are those who have wondered how the Great
Pyramid was built, for instance, and laborious methods of man have been
imagined, although they leave unexplained very many things—for instance, the
accuracy with which the structure was built. Although it is so immense, and the
blocks of stone that were used are so tremendous, yet there is this accuracy,
which would be virtually impossible to human beings now using the most modern
instruments. The accuracy is of the nature of that which is used in optical
instruments nowadays, the blocks laid together perfectly. This was supposed to
be all done by thousands of slaves hauling on these things, up slopes and—well,
how would the accuracy be there? This substance was controlled and
maneuvered in a different way, not by the sweat of the brow. So we may recognize that it is
quite possible to establish attunement with physical substance—not from the
standpoint of the conscious mind endeavoring to make physical substance do
something; it will not—but through the subconscious mind. It relates to the
functions of the subconscious mind as they were designed by God to make
possible the establishment and maintenance of dominion here on earth.
Substance reveals itself,
physically speaking, for what it is. We know water when we see it or when we
touch it. It also reveals itself, vibrationally speaking, for what it is. From
the standpoint of human beings, they are always revealing themselves for what
they are, vibrationally speaking. Most people do not have the perception to
recognize what it is that is being revealed vibrationally speaking, so all that
is seen is what appears physically or perhaps what is heard of the words that
are spoken. But everything, right from the mineral kingdom up to and including
man, is constantly revealing itself, vibrationally speaking; the nature of all
things is present vibrationally and if the vibration can be touched, then there
is evidence of the fact that that which is extending the vibration is present—we
might call that the shadow of the substance. If we see the shadow, we know the
substance is there. And so it is possible, when attunement is established
subconsciously speaking with the particular level of vibration that is present
in the substance, for an awareness of the fact that the substance is there to
be made evident. Because we are dealing with a realm which goes beyond the
physical, geographical distance actually has little bearing. The vibrational
contact can be made from the standpoint of the subconscious mind, regardless of
distance. However, if we wish to establish the fact of position in relationship
to physical substance we need to be where the physical substance is. The whole
process is worked out on the basis of a subconscious telepathic contact. There
must be the ability to permit certain levels of one's own subconscious mind to
be attuned with substance.
So we begin to see that, while
these things superficially may appear to be very mysterious, in fact they are
not particularly mysterious once there begins to be an understanding of the
principles involved and once we ourselves begin to have an awareness from
within ourselves of the manner in which these principles apply. The purpose of
such ability to establish attunement with physical substance would not be, for
the most part, the purpose for which human beings who have discovered this
ability in the world as it now is use it. In the Divine state other purposes were
dominant, creative purposes. I have touched upon these things,
seeking to bring the matter down to earth. It is not magic in the sense that it
is totally incomprehensible. We need to recognize that there is always a
reason for everything, and that if we function correctly, as we need to know
the reasons for things we will find that we are in position to do so. Yesterday evening the matter of flying saucers came up. We did not
follow it out very far. There is a reason for everything, and if there are
such things, human beings certainly do not know what they are and so there
comes in a lot of speculation and many fanciful ideas, and people build up
quite a pattern in that regard and imaginations really go to town.
There are all kinds of things of which human
beings know nothing, and of the things they think they know something about
they know far less than they imagine they do. We need to maintain a balance and
to recognize that there is a reason for everything. Some of these reasons are
beyond the comprehension of self-active man, but as we begin to move into
attunement with God we find that we are capable of comprehending many things
that are mysteries to human beings; and yet we could not explain such things to
human beings in general because they do not have the perception to comprehend;
but we ourselves may begin to know. So let us follow through in the pattern
of the Divine Design, that we may be restored into the capstone of the pyramid—and
perchance into the capstone of the capstone, because it is in relationship to
the functions of human beings that the restoration needs to take place first.
So let us move forward with assurance in this process of resurrection, that we
may be restored to stand in the place where we belong.
