Attunement and the Mercy Seat

Many times Uranda urged us to: “Remember these things.” The phrase brings to mind familiar words from Ecclesiastes. “Remember now thy creator.” Remember these things. “Remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when ye shall say, I have no pleasure in them.” Some spend their youth thinking the evil days will never draw nigh, and so come to the latter days of life with an awareness that there is remembering yet to occur. The word is “Remember now”—and now partakes of eternity, so remember now. Evil simply means incomplete; so, remember before we reach the end of our incarnation without completing the purpose for the incarnation, and so we don’t have the fulfillment naturally known at the climax of the cycle of incarnation. “Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.” All four levels of Being are indicated. Let us not come to the end of our incarnation before all four levels are fulfilled. “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”
“Remember now” and “Remember these things” also suggests: Re-member now and Re-member these things. In these latter days of fulfilment there is a remembering, and the re-membering is of the One Spirit and the One Body. Remember the fulfillment of the One Body and not merely the fulfillment of the individual. We have a part in the re-membering of the One Body, as a member of the Body of many members that is in a process of development—its membership is yet evil or incomplete. But as I contribute to the life of the Body, allowing the members of my consciousness, the vessels of the Temple of this individual body, to be used in the formation of this larger Body, I experience the fulfillment. Remembering also relates to the One Law. Emphasis has been placed on proper polarity in consciousness relative to the operation of the One Law. Remember thy Creator is one way of saying remember the One Law—the Positive radiation phase and the Negative response phase of the Creator in action. Re-membering relates to each member of the One Body functioning in right polarity with all other ones in the Body on earth, all of which comes to an apex of focus in the LORD of Lords. Polarized rightly with Him, and keeping right polarity with one another, the One Law is obeyed in daily interactions.
All of the weariness, sorrow, pain and lack of fulfillment in life comes because of a failure to maintain right polarity, attunement, within the Law. Here are a few words by Uranda: “I never feel any sense of weariness with respect to the doing of the Father’s Will, the fulfillment of the Plan or what we are here for, but sometimes I feel what may be called an overwhelming sense of tiredness with respect to struggle, and the cross currents, and the lackadaisical functions of those who are supposed to be participating in this Unit fulfillment.” When positive and negative are fused in Love, a unit of power is present and a current flows. One aspect of the current is the generation of light, and another is the manifestation of an atmosphere of rest and peace. There must be those who remember these things, who allow the positive functions and the negative functions, and each one can play either part at different times according to the configuration of members or angels involved, and the needs of the moment.
Let’s consider the Ark of the Covenant as outlined by Uranda in his papers on The Shekinah Fire (1953). An incident is recorded where the Ark was being returned to Jerusalem by King David, and one of his men reached out to steady the Ark. He wasn’t properly polarized with the current of power and he was instantly killed. This experience enlarged David’s awareness of the focus of power manifest in the Ark, “And he was much troubled. So he arranged to leave the Ark in the home of a man nearby and David returned to Jerusalem. But it was reported to him after three months that the man in whose home the Ark had been left had been very greatly blessed of the Lord, and so David determined to go and get the Ark and bring it to Jerusalem, which he did.” Rather than leave the Ark and the blessings in this one man’s home, David brought the Ark to Jerusalem and placed it in the Temple so it could be a blessing to all the people. “Wherever the Shekinah Fire is allowed to actually manifest and to be maintained in manifestation, the blessings of the Lord are abundant. If one attempts to so function that he may cause the manifestation of the Shekinah Fire in order to get such blessings, he will of course fail.” The blessings are the evidence of the Presence of the Lord.
“In the expression of life, the revelation of life, we have actually the expression, or revelation, of the evidence of the presence of the One Who Dwells—the One who dwells in your body, the One who dwells insofar as the Unit or group pattern is concerned, the One who dwells insofar as the whole earth is concerned, and the One who dwells insofar as heaven and earth are concerned.” So we see that there are many focalizations of the One, everywhere present—lower and higher focalizations, and at any apex point that One contains in essence everything that is found in all the points of focus in the vibrational levels below. In our realm, the One is present wherever there is an angel incarnate as a man or a woman who allows a focus of spiritual expression, and blessings accrue in the home of that one, whether it be the individual home, or the Archangelic Body home, or the national home, or the global home, or the solar home, or the universal home. “The significance of the One Who Dwells, whom our Master on earth spoke of as the Father, is that there is no limitation to the realm of His dwelling—the One who dwells in all, through all, and above all.” Remember thy Creator. Re-member who you are—in the body of human incarnation, as an angel in this Archangelic Body formation that is now being re-membered.
“Let us consider for a moment the particular pattern or design which was utilized in relationship to the Ark of the Covenant.” Remember the One who provides the positive pole, while our Temple consciousness is to provide the negative pole in response to the Inner One. If we violate that complementary arrangement, there is no true home and no atmosphere of home, there no power and no light—everything goes dark. “If therefore the light that is in thee is be darkness, how great is that darkness!” The well-being and blessing, such as was experienced by the man in whose home the Ark was left, is not known. “Let us consider for a moment the particular pattern or design which was utilized in relationship to the Ark of the Covenant: the two cherubim, one standing at each end of the ark, and between them the mercy seat.” Here we pause and acknowledge the mercy of the Lord. Perhaps you have heard an Islamic benediction along these lines, “In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Beneficent. Praise be to the Lord of all worlds. Peace be upon you with the mercy and blessing of Allah.” Since the fathers fell asleep, the Lord of all worlds has extended His mercy and forgiveness. Remember now thy Creator.
Two cherubim, two angels—you and me—one standing at each end of the Ark, with the Mercy Seat in between, as the upper part of the Ark, which suggests the head, the seat of the pineal and the pituitary glands. Two cherubim—it could be any two—any angel in right polarity with any other angel anywhere on earth—many angels participating in the formation of the Body. These are the cherubim, one at each end of the Ark, a positive point and a negative point, with the current flowing and pulsing back and forth and all around; and something happens above the Mercy Seat—which represents the mercy of the Lord relative to those factors on earth which have transgressed the Law. When those who have transgressed come responsively within the influence of the Ark and the cherubim, come into that atmosphere, the experience of mercy is available and may be known. Drawn into a pattern of right polarity, the transgressions, the sins, are forgiven and mercy is received. “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.” (Matthew 5:7)
We were told by the Master that there is only one sin—not many sins but one sin. He said that the Comforter would come and he would reprove the world, “Of sin, because they believe not on me.” In other words, the only sin is to be wrongly polarized relative to the One I Am, out of polarity with the One Who Dwells, everywhere, at all levels of Being—but in this context speaking of the Master, the One Who is the focus point for this seven-dimensional world, the LORD of Lords: you don’t know Who I Am and you are not in right polarity with Me, therefore you are transgressing the Law all the time and you can never know fulfillment, and you depart at the end of life with a sense of futility. The only way to know fulfillment is to know Me, come into Oneness with Me, fulfill the Law, and know yourself as a cherubim at either end of the Ark, with the Mercy Seat between you and another, and with the current of life and blessing flowing. This provides a magnetic focus—compelling and attractive. When someone sees that light glowing in the heaven above the Mercy Seat, they may well pause to see this great sight—the fire and the light and the bush that is not consumed. It is a spiritual fire so it isn’t necessarily seen with the outer eyes, but it is felt in consciousness, and the responsive one starts walking toward that light. That is attractive, and it is perceived spiritually. The magnetic force draws, and the individual is brought heart-to-heart within the field of the Lord’s mercy. The Master spoke these words: “Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. And he arose, and departed to his house.” With the Law fulfilled, the House of Being is filled with the Glory of Home.
“Individually we have that which is spoken of as the pineal gland, which forms the centering in the human body of the Shekinah Fire, the central place of light, surrounded by the cloud … and the two halves of the brain are symbolized by the cherubim… And in the midst of the cloud there is the glowing light.” The atmosphere begins to intensify and wonderful things take place—consciousness lights up. “And in the midst of the cloud there is the glowing light, or the Shekinah Fire; and to the degree that the body yields to the presence of the One Who Dwells, the reality of the manifestation of the fire and the cloud increases. So whenever the Law is fulfilled, to whatever degree it is fulfilled, so long as life remains and the functional processes are possible, we have the evidence of the presence of the One Who Dwells.” Remember who you are; re-member this Christ Body; remember your point of polarity in the Ark of Agreement between angels on earth; and remember that this agreement provides a beacon, also described as the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, made available by human beings who remember that they are here to help others remember who they are as points of light. When we forget, we sin, and the only sin is to forget who I am and forget the agreement; and so the cloud diminishes, the light grows dim, the fire dies down, and the house grows dark—no longer a Temple of Light. “We are supposed to let this evidence appear in relationship to the fulness of being on a higher or spiritual scale, as well as in body and mind and heart.”
“We wish to emphasize the fact that the body, of the man or the woman, or of the child, is supposed to be an Ark of the Covenant ... a manifestation of the Temple of the living God, a specific place that is supposed to be holy and sacred, within which no ill vibrational pattern may be found; for wherever there are stress patterns in the vibrational factor, at any level, the evidence of the presence of the One Who Dwells is withdrawn.” There must be a greater passion present which doesn’t allow feelings to be misinterpreted, but knows such stresses are simply the creative pressure of the Spirit doing its work of regeneration—a passion which doesn’t allow a forgetting or misinterpretation of what is really going on, because when the Presence is forgotten and ignored, and the individual steps out of right polarity, out of position on one end of the Ark that I am responsible for maintaining with many other angels in this process of restoration which is draws everyone who will come to that light that is sensed spiritually on earth. “Only when the patterns of accord and true peace are again made evident can there begin to be the restoration of the manifestation of the evidence of the presence of the One Who Dwells.”
“This manifestation is something which must be allowed to grow.” It is developing and we now have a feeling for how it works. It must be allowed to grow. “It is something which appears in a creative field”—the creative field between me and the LORD of Lords, between someone else and the LORD of Lords, and because of that central agreement these two know agreement with each other, and the manifestation of the evidence of the Presence is allowed to grow in that creative field. “It is something which appears in a creative field and does not manifest in its fulness in the instant.” It does manifest in an instant, but not in its fullness. Each incremental manifestation is absolutely glorious and wonderful; one is forever changed, such is the nature of the transformation in an instant—but it must be allowed to grow in its fullness, allowed to reach the point of fulfillment in its development, which then leads onward to something higher. “When it begins to appear, when the glowing light is first seen, we have evidence that the presence has been there for a considerable period”—we are not emphasizing physical seeing but, rather, seeing with the eye of the heart and with the eye of the mind—“that the creative field has been maintained, that there have been no adverse vibrational factors, no discords, no resentments, no critical attitudes, no conflicts, no fear; for where these things rule we never see the beautiful glowing light or the cloud of glory revealing the evidence of the presence of the One Who Dwells.”
“As we meditate upon these basic factors
we can begin to appreciate the great significance of the simple words:
Be still and know that I am God.”
“Be still and know that I am God. Generally speaking, human beings are not still enough long enough to permit any real beginning manifestation of the Shekinah Fire. Human reactions, patterns of attitude such as resentment, and the whirring of the endless rounds of meaningless thoughts, or so-called thoughts, maintain a condition which prevents the manifestation of the light that glows and the cloud that forms, that in season the cloud may become still more dense and the glowing light begin to appear as if it were a fire.” These are all phenomena which have outer world counterparts to the Inner world reality of illumination and understanding, of heaven everywhere present. This can only be known and shared with someone who is responsive, who draws close to the evidence of the Presence, where they begin to know and see things in ways they’ve never known and seen before. The point is that there are many people walking toward the Greater Light that they sense is present in the world. We have a responsibility to provide the functioning mechanisms of the Ark, and those who walk responsively toward that Presence are invited to come and sit, and rest, and experience a restoration. “Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
This is attunement—one at each end of the Mercy Seat and the responsive one resting in the currents of renewal. Come unto me—rest upon the Mercy Seat. It happens physically, but the greater essences of the invitation and the response are invisible and vibrational. Wherever angels are in expression this is happening all the time. This is the operation of the One Law, and there are those who draw close in their desire to be cleansed of this one sin, to obtain the forgiveness and the mercy of the Lord. They draw close to the angels who represent the Lord, and come to the place of rest upon the Mercy Seat, and experience the increase of peace and love and life in Temple of Light—and they remember the One. Believe on me. Know me. Be me. Re-member the One Body.
“So it is that sooner or later, somewhere, somehow, we shall surely find among you, or among some people somewhere, those who are willing, yea eagerly willing, to be more concerned about the manifestation of the evidence of the presence of the One Who Dwells than they are concerned about making evident the expression of their own thoughts and feelings and words and deeds. And when at last there are those who are willing, yea eagerly willing, to be with one accord in one place, and to remain so, there shall surely be the beginnings of the manifestation of the cloud; and within the cloud, finally the beginning of the glowing of the light; and within the light, finally the reality of the fire. And these reveal the evidence of the presence of the One Who Dwells.”
“When it shall be that human beings, yielding to the spirit of God, shall reach a place where they begin to be in place as angels of God on earth there begins to be established a pattern of polarity, the beginning of the manifestation of a creative field. And under the working of the Law there is the beginning of a glow of the light that glows between these two poles within the creative field. When human beings first begin to feel the glow of the light that glows they imagine they have attained to something great and wonderful, and they have, in the sense of the beginning of things; but generally they do not let it go beyond that point, for at once they begin, as Peter did, to want to use the glow, and the power that they feel in the light that glows”—just the beginning of a new understanding—“for their own purposes, for their own desires. And they may have a little power for a little time, but soon self-centeredness and misuse causes the glow to vanish and the light to disappear. And when the glow is gone and the light is no more, there is a coldness and a hardness and a darkness, that tells of the tomb that is at hand. For it is not only the kingdom of the King of heaven and earth that is at hand. Likewise there is the darkness of the tomb that is at hand.” There is much to be considered and experienced—the richness of the atmosphere of heaven, and the illumination of the mind, which brings the privilege of understanding things that have long been forgotten by most people. But if one gets carried away with the privileges, and the power is misused, well that doesn’t last long and the light goes out, and darkness comes—when there is a personalizing of the gifts of mercy and opportunity, trying to possess love rather than be possessed by love.
“So each must choose for himself or herself the direction in which he shall go, the place to which he shall come: to accept the privilege of learning to be still, ceasing all self-activity, letting the heart be made pure. What was it the Master said? ‘Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God’ … And for those who respond not, the joys and the wonders of the kingdom of heaven shall not be known; or if they be known, if they be touched upon and seen, and such an one does not remain faithful and true, that which was known shall be taken away and such an one shall never know the kingdom of heaven that is at hand. Blessed are they who are willing to relinquish the meaninglessness of human expression, that they may come at last to see the cloud, and within the cloud the light that glows, and within the light the Shekinah Fire, the evidence of the presence of the One Who Dwells. And from within the fire, the Shekinah Fire, we hear the words: Be still. Be still, and know that I am God.” And perhaps, from within the Fire, we hear the words: Fear not.
Great mercy has been extended, and we come to the realization that we, like others, are also invited to rest upon the Mercy Seat, within the creative field of encompassment that is of a larger order within the One Body and the Whole. Attunement is provided for us as well, that we might experience a restoration of consistent right polarity under the Law; and therefore be in a position to tend with greater wisdom and understanding and clarity, our responsibility in our own immediate creative field, so that others may come and know a restoration when they sit or lie down upon the Mercy Seat that vibrationally we provide, as we keep our Covenant as angels. The mercy of the LORD is immense. But there will come a point when the door of the Ark will be closed for this particular cycle of creative restoration, and those who are responsive will have made the journey Home, and all that is left will be that which refuses to draw near—and another cycle will begin, and a new range of work will be initiated in the heaven at hand
This emphasizes the necessity to remember now one’s position as a cherubim at one end of the Ark, with a creative field that extends in a 360 degree multi-dimensional radius. And there are many other angels with whom I have an agreement—not just one other angel but many other angels. Each of us has many others with whom we share a heavenly covenant; and there is a field established with each one, wherever they may be on earth, whether we know them or not; and there is love and light and glory present—the evidence of the Presence. As angels on earth we never move from our point of right polarity as it is established in the creative field. If, as human beings, we lose polarity, we sin and we deny the LORD, and we let down all those other ones with whom we have said we have an agreement. They depend upon us to hold our point, as we likewise depend upon them—and the LORD depends upon us all. So the Word is: Remember this yoke of right polarity under the One Law. Make available the Mercy Seat. “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly of heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Remember—and know these things!
