The other evening Natausha asked a question relative to how long the war was going to last, and I considered that matter with those who were here, pointing out, from the standpoint of the vibrations involved, that this summer should bring the climax of the present conflict, and somewhere around 1946 there would probably be another eruption of the world-wide conflict—also that the climax of the transition period was supposed to come, from a Cosmic standpoint, around 1947, but there would be a certain degree of lag. We took note of the fact that since the entrance into the King's Chamber [1936] until the present time [1944] there has been a lag of about eight years. Because things are speeding up the lag should not be quite that great at that time, but we could probably anticipate somewhere around a five-year lag, so that it would normally come somewhere around 1950 to 1952, when the dominant Focal Points of Reality in the earth should emerge and begin to take control. The falling away of the unreal, in other words, will be taking place, so that the dominant Focal Points of Reality should be unveiled somewhere in that period.

Going back to the Great Pyramid to check it, we noted these things. We recall that on September 16, 1936, the world entered the King's Chamber. We have a point three-quarters of the length of the King's Chamber, just short of the Sarcophagus, or Open Tomb, which allows from the point of entrance to this point indicated, 412 inches. This is exactly one month, or four weeks, short of eight years. That carries us to a point in time designated as August 17, 1944, which is, as you will note, this summer.

The time for the passage through the period of the Tomb is on two different vibrations. For those who have chosen the unreal, whom Jesus classified as the goats, the time reverts to thirty days per inch. For the sheep, or those who have chosen the Way of Reality, the vibration continues at the seven days to the inch rate. Remember that this period of which I am speaking is the period of the Tomb, and the world passage through the Tomb. For Responding Ones, that period is from August 17, 1944 until August 10, 1946.

This is a two-year period, during which, according to the Cosmic Plan and its fulfilment, the work of the Third Sacred School and of the Emissaries of Divine Light is to go forward at a comparatively rapid rate. With the Cosmic Vibrations focalized, as I have outlined, I confidently expect a great period of expansion in the Service in that two-year period.

We will now consider the period of the Tomb as it relates to those who have chosen the way of the unreal. You will note that it is from August 17, 1944 onward that the great division will begin to manifest according to the choices that have been made since the world entrance into the King's Chamber in September 16, 1936. The period of the Tomb is the Great Divide in the outworking of the Plan of Reality for this day in which we live. I stated that at that point there is a reversion to the thirty days per inch rate for those who have chosen to rebel against God. And so, the period of the Tomb for the world of the unreal comes to a conclusion in February, 1953. You will recall that according to the vibrational outline given before any consideration was given to the Pyramid vibration, I stated the year to be around 1952, and the Pyramid vibration gives it as the second month of the year 1953.

When I mentioned August 10, 1946 as the close of the Tomb period for Responding Ones, I did not, and do not, intend to convey any idea that all Responding Ones will have reached a point of Perfection by that time, but rather, that by that time the direction of their movement toward the Goal of Perfection will be noticeably evident. They will be acting on the basis of the right choice, by which they are distinguished from the rest of the world. It will probably be after August 10, 1946 that there will be marked evidence of deterioration and failure in those who have made the wrong choice. About that time there will probably be an eruption of world-wide turmoil, not the same as this war period, but more specifically on the basis of revolutionary activities in all parts of the world. That will be a trying period.

From the standpoint of Reality, the 7th Trumpet is already beginning to sound, but from the standpoint of the manifestation of the outworking in the earth, the 6th Trumpet is still sounding. In Revelation 9:13 to 21, we have a picture of the war activity in which the world is now engaged, and which should meet its climax this summer. I will read:

“13. And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,

“14. Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet. Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.

“15. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

“16. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.

“17. And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.

“18. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

“19. For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.

“20. And the rest of the men, which were not killed by these plagues, yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

“21. Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”

We see in the world today [1944] the outworking of the sounding of the 6th Trumpet. And yet, we are plainly told that while one-third of the world's population is to be destroyed through this conflagration, it will not cause the rest of the world to repent. They will continue to worship gold, and silver, and the things which they have made—they will continue to do their evil deeds. We note that the sounding of the 6th Trumpet began with the world's entrance into the King's Chamber.

Back in the late thirties we saw the four angels which were bound in the river Euphrates loosed, and huge armies began to manifest. Here, the figure is given as two hundred thousand thousand, which is two hundred million. If someone were to make an accurate survey of the number of people in the world who are directly active in the war, I wonder how far the figure would miss two hundred million. I am sure you would find it to be just about that figure. Note how, without the use of the names of modern weapons, this warfare was portrayed.

“By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.” Fire is obviously one of the prime weapons of war today, is it not? There is certainly the smoke, and the brimstone is obviously the bombs, the shells, and the bullets, by which the war is waged. “For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.” How would you describe modern machine guns and rifles, without using the names that we have today, any more effectively than that?

The beginning of the outmanifestation of the sounding of the 7th Trumpet is to come after August 17, 1944, and it will be sounding during the Tomb period mentioned. From Revelation 11, verses 15 to 19 inclusive:

“15. And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

“16. And the four and twenty elders which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

“17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power and hast reigned.

“18. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be Judged, and that thou shouldst give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

“19. And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.”

Now remember that the period of fulfilment of this Scriptural passage, from a world standpoint, is from the summer of 1944 to the winter, or the early months, of 1953. That is nine years approximately. All of these things will not manifest at the same time, but we are to remember the thing which Jesus told us to preach: “Go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.” It states in this passage that the ultimate outworking of the blowing of the 7th Trumpet will be when the temple of God will be opened in heaven. Where is heaven? It is at hand. Where will the temple of God be opened?—at hand, in heaven, in the earth. In the outworking of this plan, the temple of God in heaven, which is at hand, must be opened in individuals before it can be opened in the earth—and we have seen that the vibrations portrayed in the Great Pyramid indicate that that will be early in 1953.

You will remember that I stated that the destruction of evil by evil during the period of the Tomb would unveil the Focal Points of Reality, who should begin to take control of the world activities at a point designated in time as 1953. The purpose of the sounding of the 7th Trumpet is this: “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.” That is the fulfilment of the outworking of the Cosmic Plan towards which we look.

We note that during the time of the sounding of the 7th Trumpet the nations will be angered, and that which is pictured as the wrath of God will be made manifest in the world against the nations that have chosen to defy God. During the blowing of the 6th Trumpet, which is now taking place, one-third of the people of the world are destroyed, but those who remain, who have chosen the unreal will not repent; so the destruction of evil and evil-doers is continued through the blowing of the 7th Trumpet, until the temple of God is opened in heaven from the standpoint of the whole world.

In this we have an outline picture of what we can expect in the years to come. We can see something of what the world has to pass through; we see something of the responsibility that rests upon us; and we can see that the period of opportunity which the Lord provides in the early part of the sounding of the 7th Trumpet, when its vibrations begin to manifest from a world standpoint, is the two-year period following August 17, 1944, which must be a period of great expansion in the Service of the Lord in the earth.

It is not wise for human beings who are inclined to react to ill things more or less, and who are not yet perfectly polarized in Reality, to be too concerned about the future and what it holds. It is not necessary for us to have a detailed picture of the outworking of the next nine or ten years, and if it were possible to give such a detailed picture, it would not be wise. This general outline is sufficient. It should emphasize to every Earnest One the absolute necessity of his doing his part, of his letting the temple of God be opened in heaven within himself. It is obvious from the outline that the days of the “greater works” which Jesus mentioned are at hand.

When we look out upon the world and its turmoil, it is evident that there are tens of thousands of people who are honestly and sincerely seeking to do the right thing, and to move in the right direction, in all lands and creeds and races. These are they who are responding to the Call of God to “come up hither.” It is because of these hundreds of thousands of Responding Ones who hunger and thirst after righteousness that the need for an increased manifestation of the Light in the earth is so great. The question arises: What are you individually going to do about it? To what degree is each one who has been given an opportunity to consciously know of the Divine Plan going to let himself be dedicated to being a focal point through which the sounding of the 7th Trumpet may manifest.

This information is to take the place of, and supersede, the booklet on The King's Chamber. Insofar as we are concerned in the School, this is the expression concerning the King's Chamber—it being understood, of course, that all of the Teachings of the Third Sacred School in relationship to the outworking of the Plan are to be seen in connection with it.

In concluding this Fireside Talk, I wish to remind you, and all who may read these words, that the outworking of the period of Transition is, according to the Bible, to take 100 years, dating from 1953, before the full outmanifestation of Eden restored will be in evidence. This 100-year period, dating from 1953, is mentioned, and described, in Isaiah 65: 17 to 25 inclusive, and the 20th verse specifically indicates the 100-year period of transformation for the world—or, in other words, it states that after the Focal Point of Reality in the earth has been granted primary control in the world outworking it will take 100 years for the earth to be restored to its Edenic State. Therefore, the full manifestation to the New Earth State can be expected at about 2053 A.D.

For your further information in gaining an understanding of this text, remember that the New Jerusalem is the New Spiritual State of Consciousness for the whole world, and that the old Jerusalem now manifest represents the present state of man's consciousness. In the 19th verse, God says: “I create Jerusalem a rejoicing.” This is the same New Jerusalem spoken of in the Book of Revelation.

Concerning a clear understanding of the second part of the 20th verse, which reads: “For the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner, being an hundred years old, shall be accursed,” I would point out that God is here speaking about the New Heaven and the New Earth which He is going to create. The beginning of that creative period in 1953 is symbolized as the birth of a child. That cycle, symbolized by the child, will be completed in 100 years, which shows why it is stated that “the child shall die an hundred years old.” It is further noted that “the sinner, being an hundred years old, shall be accursed.” This is a statement to the effect that, during this 100-year period, that which sinners have done, or accomplished, or expressed, in the earth, will be eliminated from the earth during this 100-year period.

 ¹⁷ For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
 ¹⁸ But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
 ¹⁹ And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
 ²⁰ There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
 ²¹ And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.
 ²² They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
 ²³ They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them.
 ²⁴ And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
 ²⁵ The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord.
