We remember, in the Master’s prayer, as recorded in the seventeenth chapter of John, that He plainly signified a recognition that he had been with the Father from the foundation of the world. In other words, the Christ Spirit was in expression from the Father, through the body that was called Jesus. Man used his mind to spoil the pattern of things Divine on earth; that is to crucify the lamb. And remember that the crucifixion of the lamb began in the moment of the fall, and continues to this day.


Every man, woman and child upon the face of the earth who has ever functioned contrary to the Spirit, the direction, the will, of God, has shared in slaying the lamb, has shared in the crucifixion. The crucifixion, in the absolute sense, was not limited in the realm of action to those who took part in nailing the body of our Lord to the cross. That was merely a focalization of this action that had been going on for thousands of years, and which has continued until this day. We must begin to realize that anyone who is self-active at any time, under any circumstance, is sharing in the crucifixion of the lamb, slaying the lamb. The lamb is the Christ Spirit, which is of the Father.


The prophecies of the Old Testament portrayed the fact that the Kingdom of God could be restored on earth without Jesus Christ going to the cross. There was the recognition from the Divine standpoint that because man was so self-active it was possible he would reject even the LORD of Lords Himself. There was a very difficult problem involved here. How many human beings would have the perception to recognize Him for what He came on earth to do? The human mind, looking back today, is inclined to say, “I am sure I would have recognized Him.” You would have? How would you have recognized Him? How would you have known Him? Looking back, you have certain ideas as to what you think He was like, but if you were attempting to recognize Him on the basis of what most people think He was like, you would not have recognized Him.


Speaking from an inner standpoint, how about my own manifestation at the present time? How about recognizing that? How did you recognize it? What is there to cause you to do so? Some people have difficulty in seeing it, and in line with that I would like to emphasize: If you wish to serve effectively with me, if you wish to let the Christ Spirit have real meaning on earth, do not go out there anywhere and try to tell people who I am, or who you think I am, or anything about it. If you try to convince somebody that Uranda is thus and so, a manifestation on earth of this or that, whether you are right or wrong you will be doing harm. If the time comes for anyone to clear that point in his consciousness, that is my responsibility.





I am in the earth without many people knowing anything about me, and the less the people generally know about me, the better. Actually, I never touch the subject unless I am forced to by various ideas that are engendered. Such things are supposed to be perceived by the Spirit. Such things are between myself and that individual. If you wish to truly serve, do not talk about it, even though you may know. Just to illustrate the importance of this point that I am making, I am going to read to you from words which the Master spoke with respect to my service on earth: “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive.”


As long as any human being is primarily focalized in the world pattern and the world spirit he cannot receive that focalization of Spirit which I offer in the world, that Spirit which is available to every man, woman, and child; for as the Master came, providing a focalization of the Spirit of Love, and each one of you can share in that Spirit of Love, my responsibility is to provide a focalization of the Spirit of Truth, but every man, woman and child on the face of the earth can share in that Spirit, and is supposed to share in it and let it manifest.


“Whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” (John—Chapter 14)  He made that a present-tense statement. Looking at it, we see that it had to be one of the disciples of whom He was speaking, and we know that to be true. Since this is true, how futile it is for you to try to ignore these basic statements which the Master spoke. “Because it seeth him not”; that is, the world consciousness cannot see it. Do not try to get the world consciousness to see him. It is futile. “It seeth him not, neither knoweth him.” You cannot get the world consciousness to know him. It is futile to try. “But ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” That is, “As you yield to that Spirit of Truth which is focalized in one who is with you, that Spirit shall be in you; so that as My Spirit of Love is in you, so shall His Spirit of Truth be in you.” It is not for you, as human beings, to try to tell somebody these things.


I want to give you an opportunity to see it as it is, because, just as surely as the world becomes convinced that I carry a particularized focalization of the Spirit of God on earth, the world will do its level best to crucify this body. The less the world knows about that which is within, the more completely the world thinks I am just another man on earth—maybe a little bit cracked—the better. I am not interested in the world knowing me as I am. I am interested in conveying the Truth to those who respond, so that they can begin to know that which they are in relationship to our Lord and King. Let the Spirit of Truth work through you. But if you think the Spirit of Truth can be on earth and work through the children of men without having a central focalization, you are wrong.


Just as Jesus Christ provided a central focalization for the Spirit of Love, so did He provide that there should be a central focalization of the Spirit of Truth. Remember, your job in serving is to let the Spirit of Truth work through you, as well as the Spirit of Love, while you point constantly and consistently to the Lord of Love, our Lord Jesus Christ. Why is my service of value to you? Why is the Truth of value to you? Because it makes it possible for you to begin to know and understand our Lord, the LORD of Lords and KING of Kings, and that is all that is important. The Truth is essential to that understanding. The Truth makes possible that understanding. The Spirit of Truth must be in you and work through you, but there must be a point on earth where that Spirit of Truth is centered, and that centering is provided in the Comforter, that all who will may receive it.


From the standpoint of the inner reality serving through this body form, I have carried that particular focalization in relationship to our Lord and King since long before the beginning of the creation of this world. It is not something that is new, or particularly worked out. But, to illustrate the point now, how are you going to recognize me? You say, “By the Truth you express.” Yes, that is the point exactly; but if you tend to be a little rebellious, skeptical, etc., etc.—which you have been and still may be somewhat—the point is this: If you are skeptical, if you are inclined to judge, and say, “If he were that, he would be this way, that way, and the other,” with what words would you have me come? In what body? How would you have me appear? How would you change the form? How would you change the pattern? If you feel you are in position to judge and question this fundamental point of Truth, just exactly what changes would you work out? How would you have me be different? Do you see what I mean? You cannot tell. In what body shall I come? By what means, in what channel, and in what place on earth shall you find me?





Remember, then, that human beings had the same problem when our Lord was on earth, exactly the same problem. Remember that, when you go out there as a focalization of the Spirit of the Living Christ, there are going to be plenty of people who say, “He has some funny ideas; maybe he has some Truth, maybe not. You feel some love, but I don’t know.” There will be plenty of people to doubt you, to criticize you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, but if you let it bother you, you will be wrong, and if you do anything foolish which will deliberately engender that vibration of thinking, you will be wrong. You must be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. You must do your best to avoid the appearance of evil. But if you are controlled by what people are going to think, you will not be controlled by God. You should avoid putting a stumbling block in the path of your brother or sister, but you will not become subject to such things because you are controlled by the Spirit of God if you are a true Server, and not by what people think. Such things are beside the point.


Our Master was up against that same problem, and all self-active human beings have shared in the crucifixion and are still sharing. It was at point there, yes—but what was the life? From the day of the beginning of the fall of man, until this day, what is the life that has been shed? It has been the life from the Spirit of the Living Christ, which manifested on earth, only to be slain by man’s self-activity.


If man, in the days of the Old Testament, slew an ox and made a sacrifice it symbolized the fact that he was supposed to yield his self-active mind to God and let it be received in the fire of God’s Love, so that his mind would no longer be slaying the lamb, no longer spilling the blood, the life stream of God on earth, in a meaningless, senseless, fashion. The blood of Christ is the life stream of Christ which has been shed “from the foundation of the world”—not the foundation of the earth. Do not get that mixed up. This does not mean the beginning of the creation of the earth, but the foundation of this self-active world. It was the fall of man. The fall of man began the process of developing this self-active world in which we find ourselves on earth. “The blood of the Lamb,” which was “slain from the foundation of the world.” So, man began to slay the lamb, and to shed the blood of the lamb, the minute he fell. He continued to do it through all that time, and what was it? Shedding the blood of the lamb, spilling it on earth, making it of no avail, so that it was not a means of the resurrection and the life but a means of destroying man.


We must realize that, in these things, until we know the Truth we cannot be set free. As long as we allow ourselves to be held in bondage by human concepts and ideas that have been developed by limited man down through the centuries, we cannot even understand the significance of the cross, what it means to come to the foot of the cross, yielded, and letting the life stream, the blood of the Christ, wash us clean. Is that not interesting? That blood is to make us white as snow. Obviously, if it were the physical blood it would not make us white as snow; it would make us red. The way it is worded, over and over again; take a look at it: “white as snow”—the Spirit of the Living Christ which shall make you white as snow, the blood, the life stream of the only begotten Son of God, which is present here with you, the Spirit of the Living Christ which is available to every man, woman and child. And he who yields to that Spirit becomes a member of the body of the only begotten Son of God on earth.


That is the story the Bible tells, and until we begin to see it and to know it we will follow in the same old futile paths which so many earnest Christians have trod before us. It is not for us to condemn them. We rejoice in what was done, which makes it possible for us to share this hour, but let us not cause that to be in vain. If we cannot do better than they, there is no excuse for our being. Unless we can understand more fully than those who have gone before us, there is no excuse for our sharing the privileges and opportunities which their living made possible.




Let us be sure that our Lord Jesus Christ did not live and suffer on earth in vain, that you, each one, may come to the foot of the cross and receive the blood of the lamb in the true sense that truly makes you white as snow. You begin to see that man’s concept about the blood is that which keeps man from having the power of God made manifest in and through himself here on earth. Let us let the works be done. Let us let the light so shine that men may see our good works, the results that appear out here, and glorify our Father which is in Heaven. Our Father in Heaven is the Lord who manifested through the body of Jesus; our Lord and King, our Father, who was manifest on earth.

As the world responds to the degree of its vision and gives attention to the mystery of the resurrection, it is, to the extent of its true love for the LORD of Lords, open to the radiation of reality being released through you in the Third Sacred School, to the end that all earnest ones, of every nation, race, creed, religion or school of thought, may be lifted up in the ascending flame of the resurrection to the degree that they will let go to, and in, the whole truth which sets all responding ones fully free in the glorious liberty of the children of God.


It is to this great service that you are now called, that through your own steadfast response to reality the radiance of the Christ love may draw forth the realizations of life eternal from within all those who are unconsciously responding to their Lords within them by reason of their love for the LORD of Lords.  To the degree that your own response to your own Lord within you is vital, vivid and constant the radiance of your Lord is pouring out through you to your brother man—and that radiance is hindered only when you become self-active in your daily life expression. As your realization of this actuality of service becomes more vivid, so that it is the dominating factor in all that you do day by day, you find that the sense of futility begins to vanish away and in its place there comes an assurance of eternal life and cosmic power flowing freely into the world consciousness through all your thoughts, words and deeds, no matter how insignificant they may appear to be from the standpoint of the outer vision.


If you are to do your part in the service of the Lord in bringing about the resurrection to reality of all those earnest ones in the world who are now dead to reality, it is necessary that you have a clear realization of what it means to use all the conditions and situations in your life to that end, and to give thanks in all things. 


The attitude of the world toward ill conditions may be classified under three broad generalizations: namely, those who are chronic complainers about ill conditions, and they consider most conditions to be ill; those who bear their burdens silently in a mute but pregnant air of benign martyrdom; and those who try with much struggle, sometimes loudly and sometimes silently, to fight against the ill conditions in an attempt to replace them with conditions which human beings generally think that they should desire. All three phases of the world attitude are equally wrong, and some, seeing this, have tried to develop a new attitude by denying that there are any ill conditions, only to evolve a hybrid attitude of fruitless fantasy partaking of the characteristics of the last two phases outlined. Most so-called “new thought” and so-called “metaphysical teachings” come under this hybrid classification, and it is as wrong as any of the three generalizations.


Realizing the full truth of the foregoing, it immediately becomes clear that any ill condition can be a true cause of thanksgiving only to the degree that it becomes a channel for the release of the Power and Wisdom and Glory of God—and the blessed one realizes that every condition, no matter what it is, may be so used, not because it was supposed to be, but because the Wisdom of God is great enough to use even that, since it is manifest by reason of man’s failure to let the Will of God be done. This realization is absolutely essential before the earnest one can begin to truly function and serve in the Christ attitude of the resurrection. So it is that the faithful one faces every condition in the absolute assurance that it can be used to advantage, no matter what it is, to the degree that those involved will let the Father’s Will be done. And so it is that he becomes radiantly thankful for all things; but never, even for a moment, does the responding one allow himself to be deluded into the idea that ill conditions are the result of God's will. God never puts a “burden,” or a “heavy cross,” on anyone.  Every ill condition that now is, or ever has been, is the result of man's self-willed activity, which brings suffering and death; and every ill condition, with every instant of suffering and every death, has always been, and is now, absolutely contrary to the will of God. Blessed is he who realizes this truth.


God is a God of Love, of life eternal, of joy, and of perfection in being and function. God did not ordain death in the first place, and death has never been, in any instance, the will of God for any. According to the will of God the physical human body is a living temple of the Lord and it is granted the sacred privilege of eternal life. Human self-will, and self-activity in positive self-expression, has been the stone [the heart] which caused the body to be a tomb of death. Our Great Master proved this to be true and He is our example. 


The cross was, and is, the symbol of your own physical body in its self-active state, wherein it is subject to death. As the Great Master was crucified on the cross, just so is the Master-Self within each self-active human being crucified on the cross of the human body. As the Great Master rose again the third day, just so does all of the human body which responds in love to the Master-Self within rise, or ascend, into eternal life after it passes through the third plane of human spiritual expression—for the three days in the tomb represent the three planes of the self-active human body, namely physical, mental and spiritual expression. The body forms a cross when the arms are extended horizontally from the sides while you stand erect, and that is the cross on which you crucify your own Master when you deny him and function in self-activity. All of this our Great Master revealed in His life and in His crucifixion.


He was, and is, LORD of the Sacred Seven, which means that He is the Head of all the God Beings in this whole holy world, and there is no other Being in, on or about the seven planes of the whole holy world who can be compared to Him or considered in any way to be equal with Him. Jesus was the name of the body temple of the LORD of Lords, and the Father within Jesus was the LORD of Lords. This means that when Jesus ascended to His Father He simply caused His body to ascend into eternal oneness with Himself, and He was and is the One God, or I AM THAT I AM, or Jehovah, of this whole holy world. Thus Jesus, the body manifestation, was the Only Son of the Father within that body temple, and so was Jesus the only begotten Son of God.


When Jesus died to the world and ascended through the three planes, symbolized by the three days, and was received into Eternal Cosmic Being with His Father, He revealed the process that is the open way before every responding one on the face of the whole earth. Your human form must respond to your own Lord within you, from whom you may receive the Christ Light, Love and Life to the degree of your love response; and as you are drawn into oneness with your own Lord, thereby being “saved,” you automatically become perfectly harmonized with the LORD of Lords, simply because your own Master within you is already perfectly harmonized with the Great Master. And so do you receive of the life of the LORD of Lords through your own indwelling Lord. This is the resurrection, and as you let it be so in you you will come to your own Easter morning in this great Easter Day of the Ages.





The proof of the fact that God never willed that any should be subject to death is proven by the fact that Jesus, in whom the perfect will of God was done, was not subject to death but rose again the third day, showing the result of letting the will of God be done. Resurrection from the human state to the state of eternal life here and now is the will of God for every human being, but the will of God becomes active for and in each human being only to the degree that he, or she, responds in love to his, or her, own indwelling Lord, or Master-Self.


Only that which does not respond can die. Thrice blessed are they who let go in the ascending flame of the Christ Love, that they may now find their Easter Day. As the angel of the Lord rolled away the stone that sealed the Master's tomb on that first Easter morning, so will the Angel-Self within you roll away the stone of self-activity and change your tomb to a living temple, according to your response.  Blessing you this Easter Day and enfolding you in the fire, I AM Uranda

Bishop Uranda — While you have read other Expressions of Realization from Brother Martin Cecil, I release this following paper to you as his first Official Expression as a Member of The Council of Seven. Let it be recognized that in The Council of Seven, Brother Martin Cecil is the Special Representative of the Lord of the Sacred Two, and it is in this capacity that he now serves you. The following paper deals with a Vision and an Attitude most vital to your present function in the earth, upon which much further expansion in Expression is in order. Rejoice and Let It Be So in yourself:






Martin Cecil — The sandy texture of the Pineal Gland in all those who depend upon the response of the outer mind to the things of the world, well symbolizes that the houses of such are based upon the sand which is continually shifting. These are they who say “Let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.” (Genesis 11:4) Sand is made up of millions of separate particles, and the sandiness of the pineal gland symbolizes the separate state of the atomic structure of the unresponsive human body, even though there is a seeming oneness as long as life remains in the form. Thus such human beings, knowing not true Oneness in the Lord, seek to make themselves a “name.” In other words they develop character and personality of the outer being during their lives, and also seek by their functions and activities in the world to perpetrate it after death. No matter how successful they may seem to be, the result is always the same, as it is said “and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of the earth.” In other words the atoms of the unresponsive physical body are distributed back into the dust.


The structure of the pineal gland in the Responsive physical body tends to take on the nature of a stone [Mat. 21:42-44 and Mat, 16:18 where the “little rock,” or Peter, of each individual is mentioned—but the world rejects the Truth of the Stone—Bishop Uranda] the sandy particles are fused into Oneness, thereby giving evidence of Eternal Life in form, through the Adoption of the atomic structure of the whole body into Oneness with the Lord. Such an house is built upon the Rock which cannot be moved.


“Let thine eye be single, that thy whole body may be full of Light.” In that the pineal gland is the single eye, this quotation refers both to the necessity of letting the structure of the pineal gland be fused into Oneness through Response, and also to the need for our Response to be through the “window finished above” to the Lord in the Inner Planes of Reality and not through the double eye, or the eyes of outer vision, in response to things in the world without. As we come into a clearer understanding of Symbolism, we find that it is not merely a superficial picture of little intrinsic value, but that all true Symbols have a use and a need and an active function. The sandy particles of the pineal gland have a close relationship with the atoms of the unresponsive physical body. The fused stone of the pineal gland is a necessity in the unified harmonization of all the atoms in the perfected body temple. And so on through all the manifest Symbolism of the whole earth.


Response through the double eye of outer vision, which is to all intents and purposes the only kind of response that mankind is aware of, reveals that sooner or later any seeming oneness in the nations or among the nations of the world must break up in the confusions of Babel, regardless of what anyone may think to the contrary. With these things clear before our eyes, it is evident why it is said that the elect would be seduced if it were possible. The elect are seen to be those whose eye is single and whose body is therefore full of Light, and the darkness of the outer vision through the double eye has no place at all in such. So it is not possible that they should be seduced from the Lord their God within them. They are no longer concerned with the signs and wonders of the outer world, but with the infinitely greater Glories and Truths of Eternal Reality, not as abstract and helpless dreamers but as doers of the Word, that the Perfection of the Everlasting Kingdom might be released into the earth.





So shall the LORD God be glorified and His Blessing of Radiant Light, Love and Life fill the whole world with Peace and true Oneness, which cannot fail for it is founded and established upon the Eternal Rock of the Christ Love. “The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: This is the LORD'S doing and it is marvellous in our eyes.” Rejoice and Praise the Lord that it is so.
