The Body of the Archangel

from

The  Body  of  the  Archangel

Martin Cecil  October 23, 1977

Obviously in the initial stages, when earthly consciousness begins to open in response to the working of the spirit of God, the viewpoint is from earthly consciousness. On this basis it is thought that there is a considerable amount of effort required, much sweat of the brow, in order to begin to conform to a developing concept of what would constitute spiritual expression, or what it would mean to be an angel incarnate in human form. While anyone must start from the place where he or she is in consciousness, obviously sooner or later the viewpoint of the earthly consciousness must be left behind in order that one might be in position to see from the standpoint of heavenly consciousness.

When there begins to be a view from the heavenly standpoint then there is an alignment with the angel of one’s true identity. There begins to be the attitude which sees the physical body and the mind as a facility for spiritual expression on earth. It is not looked upon as being particularly important in its own right. The only importance that your body and the consciousness of your body has is as a means for the expression of the angel who you are. But an actual awareness of this has been obscured because of involvement in identity with the earthly consciousness—that is a false identity. We begin to move to a point where we can examine things from the standpoint of the true angelic identity. We let the light shine upon that which we would examine. The only way that this can be done consistently is to have one’s own light shining brightly all the time, and that is made possible only to the extent of one’s heavenly living. The life which is heavenly is the light of men.

It may be possible to be in the presence of someone whose light is shining and, being sufficiently open and willing, to see what is revealed by reason of the light shining through somebody else; but if one’s own light is not shining, when one leaves the presence of that other person one will no longer see what one saw when one was in that person’s presence. When all is said and done anything that needs to be dealt with in a person must be dealt with by that person. It can’t really be dealt with by somebody else. It may be illuminated so that whatever it is can be seen by reason of the presence of somebody else but the actual handling of what needs to be handled must always be done by the person himself, and in order to do this he must see what he’s doing. The only way to see is to have the light shining, and the only way to have the light shining is to reveal in one’s living the truth of spiritual expression.

We may look at these things now and see that here is something entirely logical, reasonable; it may be seen clearly enough in this moment. But how clearly will it be seen when you are under the necessity of letting it be seen by the shining of your own light? because whatever is now seen that needs to be dealt with in your own consciousness needs to be seen when it arises in your own consciousness later, seen for whatever it is and dealt with on that basis. So the angelic viewpoint is very important. If there is the angelic expression in living there will be light and one will be able to see what is necessary in relationship to one’s own field of responsibility. One’s own field of responsibility is first with respect to what is present in one’s own consciousness. That is the thing that is closest to everyone.

Only as what is in one’s own consciousness is sufficiently clear so that one can see accurately will one be in position truly to serve, because, after all, we have to see what we look at through the state of our own consciousness. There’s no other way of doing it. If our consciousness is murky in some fashion, there is present a distorting lens in our consciousness, then we may think we see things accurately but we are seeing them through this distorting lens and we see the distortion accurately. There is then the necessity on the part of the angel to recognize that there are certain elements in the earthly state of consciousness of the facility which the angel is under the necessity of using for whatever he does on earth. Consequently there is the necessity for handling the things that arise in consciousness, the earthly consciousness, that need rebuking. You need to see that it is you who do the rebuking. It isn’t somebody else. The individual himself sooner or later will have to assume the angelic responsibility and do the rebuking. Then the field of creative responsibility begins to clear.

As consciousness clears in this sense there begins to be a new awareness of the design of things. Here, there is obviously a body of human beings present. We may have a certain awareness of the fact of being a part of the body of those who are actually present in this room this evening. We also presumably have a larger view than that and we recognize that we are a part of a larger body. The consciousness of being a part of this larger body is angelic consciousness—at least in some measure. The angel knows, after all. The angel has a keen awareness of the reason for incarnation on earth: to provide through the facility of body and mind what is necessary to permit the manifestation of a collective body through which what should perhaps be referred to as the greater works may be done. We have lesser works to do as individuals but the greater works are done by the body as a whole. The body as a whole only begins to appear as a healthy body with a healthy consciousness to the extent that this is true of the individuals who compose that body, which means that the angels are present, consciously present in expression.

This larger body may be referred to as the body of the Archangel. Each angel who is present in the body is in effect a differentiation of the spirit of the Archangel. We might begin to comprehend these things more clearly by considering an individual human body and its consciousness—mine for instance. Obviously there is a focus of consciousness present which is capable of transmitting something through words. In order for this to happen, obviously the body needs to be present. Nowadays it’s possible to record something on a tape and play it and you can hear the words, but in the sense of this living experience together here, my body needs to be on hand. It’s not possible, for instance, just to bring the speaking mechanism along this evening and leave the rest behind. It all has to be here and it has to be in sufficiently good health to provide what is necessary. The various parts of the body need to be functioning adequately in coordination. Clearly, the heart needs to keep beating. If the heart took the attitude at some point that it had been stuck with this job of beating day in and day out, year in and year out—it’s time it had a holiday—that would be liable to affect the whole body, wouldn’t it? No holiday for the heart. It has to keep its beat going as it should.

We need to see this in relationship to ourselves as parts of the body which we properly compose. Every part has its place. My feet are essential to me at the moment to keep me standing here. I doubt if the consciousness of my feet is aware of what it is that’s going on. All they know—I can feel that they know this—is that they are supporting my weight. All they know is their own job. And yet they have to do that job rightly if what is being done by the whole body is to be done. So, again, look at this from the standpoint of our individual function in the whole body which we properly compose. Each person certainly does not see the whole of what it is that is happening. There is no necessity. It would be confusion if he did because he would to that extent not be adequately conscious of his own task. We have to be adequately conscious of the particular creative field for which we are individually responsible.

The things that are done, necessarily, in these creative fields are required for the well-being of the body as a whole. I have my hands along with me this evening. I may make a gesture, so the hand participates momentarily in what it is that is happening in the overall sense by reason of the expression appearing through the body. So sometimes what we do has very specific meaning in relationship to what the body is doing as a whole. At other times it just has a subsidiary meaning—to maintain the body in health, to keep it on hand, to make it possible for whatever specific action needs to appear to appear. The specific action that needs to appear this evening is principally through the speaking mechanism. There may be some other action, gesture or movement, but not very extensive. This is required of this body in this moment. But regardless of the creative action that is necessary, insofar as our collective body is concerned we each need to be in place and moving easily and naturally with the current of the spirit of the whole body. We don’t try to extract a little bit of that spirit and possess it for ourselves so that we can go off on some tangent or other. We are willing to leave the spirit contained in the overall spirit of the Archangel. This is the way the body is coordinated, and if at times our experience seems to be somewhat humdrum, what of it? Maybe it’s just as important as the beating of the heart, which could be said to be very humdrum!

As members of this larger body we are blended into the body by reason of the spirit of the body. One might say that the basic reason for ill health in human bodies is the fact that the true spirit of the body becomes obscured in its working through the body. The earthly consciousness of the body interferes and so the coordinating factor, which may be defined as love, is, to whatever degree, absent and the body consequently begins to fall apart. It’s not being properly held together in its real design. Most of the physical body is composed of fluid but the whole body isn’t fluid. There is the necessity for the skeletal structure, for instance. There is the necessity for containing the body somehow. The skin is an important element in this regard but there are other means obviously in relationship to various parts, so that as fluids we don’t ooze all over the place. This indicates clearly enough that the correct place for the blood is circulating in the body. The bloodstream of this larger body which we have been considering needs to be contained within the body, if the body is to function in health. But our physical bodies are composed mostly of fluid, which allows for a certain fluidity of function.

There is a tendency as the physical body gets older for it to dry up, but even in youth bones are necessary, and they’re not at all fluid. There is a certain structured frame which makes the effective operation of a human body possible and I don’t think any of us would be willing to dispense with that. We may see that the same principle is true with respect to this larger body. We should not judge the cells in the body as though they should all be the same. There is a considerable variety in our individual bodies and they all have their place and purpose. We have been instructed that it is wise not to judge.

We noted before that we see what we see through the state of our earthly consciousness. So while we may think we see very clearly what we see, it is liable to be a distorted view, and if we parade our distorted views around on the basis of voicing our judgments we are at the same time displaying our own state. Most people don’t realize this. They think they’re pointing to somebody over there but what they are revealing is the state of their own consciousness. Another person’s consciousness may be somewhat distorted too, and probably is, but what are you going to do about that? Did you ever try to correct the distortions in someone else’s consciousness? It’s a most frustrating task, because at least some of the distortions which you think you see in somebody else are actually in your own consciousness. If you’re busy trying to manipulate something out there this is not going to change your state of consciousness at all. No, what is present in one’s own consciousness needs the first rebuke.

From the angelic standpoint, then, we see ourselves as parts of this larger body. Our responsibility in living expression is as a differentiation of the Archangel, who gives identity to the larger body; and that differentiation which appears in the angelic expression will be suitable, fitting, to whatever part the particular angel should play in the overall state of this larger body, the body which does the greater works, the real works. What needs to be done is done by the body. The individuals who compose that body simply sustain the body, allow it to be healthy, provide it with the essential cells that compose it, the essential fluids that move in it, and from time to time, according to the particular part, participate in direct action of some kind. In a sense we all participate in direct action, as we function as angels, by the rebuke that we offer to those things that arise in our own consciousness that should not be there. That is direct action into the consciousness of mankind with respect to which this larger body of the Archangel is here to make possible the ministry of the Archangel. So there may be some direct action from time to time. We are sharing in a direct action at the moment in this service, direct action as it relates to the consciousness of mankind in a general sense, by reason of what is happening in the consciousness of all of us here present.

Sometimes we find ourselves in a condition which is very uncomfortable, and from the standpoint of earthly consciousness we say, “Well I want to get out of this!” and ways and means of getting out of it are looked for. But if one is in a situation one is in that situation in order to handle it wisely, correctly. This is so or one wouldn’t be there. So it doesn’t matter what comes up in one’s experience, that is exactly where one should be. One needs to learn to accept the situation as it is and in angelic consciousness handle it wisely and effectively. To do this one will not be indulging in bringing to bear escape mechanisms: “How can I get out of this? I don’t like it!” Well we’re not here because the earthly consciousness of our physical forms doesn’t like this or does like that. We’re here to handle what arises as angels of the Lord. As parts of this body, in the dawning consciousness of the angel we become aware of the greatness of the task, not only the greatness of the task but the greatness of the One who is present by which this task may be achieved, the incarnate Archangel.

Some people have found themselves concerned with respect to this great task. This has usually been in terms of whether this ministry, this body of which we have been speaking, could be the body which would provide what is necessary in the achievement of the creative purposes of God as these relate to the whole of mankind. Very often this comes to even sharper focus when someone says with respect to me, “Well, can you be the focus of this?” It seems too much to swallow insofar as human consciousness is concerned because the only way the earthly consciousness can swallow such things is on the basis of its own concepts of the state of affairs, the view it has with respect to the divine focus, for the achievement of what is necessary. It has a structure in consciousness in this regard and so there is an endeavor to fit me and this ministry into that structure, and usually we do not fit too well. This is the attitude that people have taken all down through the ages with respect to the provision that has been made by which the restoration of man could take place. The outstanding one of these of course was when Jesus was present on earth. The Jews couldn’t get Him to fit into the structures of their concept; therefore He was rejected on this basis.

But it’s not really a matter of trying to get this ministry or anything else fitted into the structures of human consciousness. What is necessary is that we should discover what the reality is in our own experience, and to do this we have to relinquish our structures. To know the truth we have to be related to the reality in our own experience. So why should anyone fuss about this matter of trying to determine whether this ministry or any other pattern on the face of the earth is the one? Nobody is ever going to find out on the basis of fussing about it or trying to figure it out, because that is trying to get the thing to fit into one’s own structured state of consciousness. The point is to relate to the reality; then all that needs to be understood will be understood, and what is understood on this basis will be very different from the structured belief or concept that had been previously held. It won’t be the same thing at all. It won’t be a structure in the ordinary sense. It will be an experience, one’s own experience.

The only way one could know whether this body is the body—whatever that means, and I don’t think anybody here knows really what it means—but if it is to be known to be the body, one would have to be participating in it and discover the fact for oneself. Most people want to be convinced somehow, but no sign is given. One must experience the truth for oneself. And the only way by which the true body appears on earth is based in the focus of spirit. Unity comes on the basis of the true spirit and when we relate to that true spirit we discover what the unity is and what the means of its expression is. It appears in our own experience. And I would suggest that it has already begun to appear in your own experience. If you acknowledge that, then it becomes a very easy thing. One can move easily in a fluidity with what it is that is appearing. And we discover as we go along what it is. Nobody knows ahead of time, nobody can make it fit into an already-existing human structure, because it doesn’t fit. It is something of itself, and we discover what that something is to the extent that we are associated with the reality that allows it to appear.

Because there have been those who were willing to be associated with this reality something has appeared to this extent. What has appeared certainly hasn’t been whipped into shape somehow by the imposition of fixed beliefs, or rules and regulations. It emerges into experience by reason of the fact that there are those who begin to relate to the reality of spirit, what has been called the sounding of the Tone. That is heard and we begin to relate to it. To the extent that we do relate to it we find ourselves sharing a new state of consciousness, a heavenly state of consciousness; and that heavenly state of consciousness is reflected increasingly in the facility of earthly consciousness so that what had been passes away, the first heaven and the first earth are passed away, and there is a new heaven and a new earth in consequence.

We share this as differentiations of the spirit of the Archangel. Those differentiations of spirit are designed to make possible the manifestation of a healthy body with a healthy mind and a full and free spiritual expression. The greater works are done by this. We begin to have a consciousness of the fact that our lesser works of the moment, which very often seem quite insignificant, are nevertheless an essential part of the total action of the body. We leave something out and the fulness of what could appear cannot do so. Let it all come together and every seemingly insignificant aspect in that body is found to be absolutely essential. We do not necessarily need to know how or why it is essential but we have the sense of it being essential when we are functioning from the standpoint of the angelic state of consciousness.

It is through this body, as it becomes an increasingly effective instrument, that the power of God appears in the achievement of His purposes of restoration. Questioning human minds get out of the way. These human minds of course are inclined to say, “Well how’s it going to be done? What’s going to happen? Who’s going to do this? Who’s going to do that? How can we handle the thing over there?” Well the answer to that is—It’s none of your damn business! It’s the business of the Archangel. Let’s leave it in His hands and it will be done. But in leaving it in His hands we don’t wash our hands of the body through which He gets the job done. We play our part, and we are content to play it, whatever the part may be. When this is so, there is a functioning body, a healthy body, a body of well-being. The health is the health of the body, and when the whole body is healthy every part is healthy. So we might say it is enlightened self-interest to let the body function easily and naturally so that the state of well-being can be known.

We share this responsibility—what a wonderful responsibility!—as angels of the Lord on earth incarnate in human form, that in every way, in all aspects of our living, we may give glory to God. Our life is His life. When this is so consistently in us then the body may function because of us, wisely and effectively, in the expression of the Archangelic Spirit. This is the way, the truth and the life, which we are privileged to share.

The Spiritual Body of the Son of God

The  Spiritual  Body  of  the  Son  of  God

Martin Cecil   March 16, 1980

“The real ministry of speaking the Word is very largely an individual matter.”

It has been emphasized that this is in fact a spiritual ministry. Some have spoken of it as a vibrational ministry, one that originates at a level other than the material. While there are forms and appearances, necessarily so, these are entirely secondary, rightly, to the spiritual, to the fact of our own spiritual expression in living.

A few months ago I said something about the structured Emissary state. The point I was making then was that there has been a tendency for many to give greater weight to these structures of their own concepts than to the essential requirement of spiritual expression. I certainly was not denying the fact that there necessarily must be structures. We ourselves exist on earth because there is a structure, our own physical body. However insofar as our ministry is concerned the structure rightly puts in an appearance, and it is a living structure also, because of the fact of spiritual expression. Spiritual expression is primary; whatever structure appears is quite secondary, even though necessary.

This brings up a point with respect to our continuing movement in the unfolding of increased understanding. Necessarily I introduce something new, or a new way of looking at something, from time to time. I did this in connection with these Emissary structures. However the human tendency is, when something of this sort is brought to focus, to give all the attention to what it is that has been brought to focus, apparently forgetting all the rest of the understanding that the individual should have. It is rather like what might happen in a crowded boat when some particular factor of interest was pointed out and everybody on the boat rushed to the side to have a look. The boat would likely capsize. This has tended to happen all too often in our ministry. Obviously something new needs to unfold in consciousness, but whatever it is that is unfolding at the moment certainly does not deny all that has unfolded thus far. So it is not a matter of forsaking all the understanding that one has in order to rush after the new idea. That creates an unbalance, and I have found myself under the necessity, continuously, of moving in another direction very quickly heretofore, so that balance might be maintained.

There was, as I say, this tendency to move in a particular direction, apparently forgetting what was already known, when this understanding would have provided a balancing element, so that the new vision might be seen as it really is in relationship to all that went before. Consequently we have moved from side to side almost more than we have moved forward. I would that we might go in a straight line. It would be much quicker. But it can only happen as all concerned maintain a balance within themselves which is possible because of all that has gone before. There is no other balance available for what is now present but what has previously been understood and experienced. Here is the foundation upon which we stand and from which we may move forward, but not forsaking what went before.

This is something that also occurred, apparently, with respect to a subject that I introduced a few years ago in connection with the length of time which has succeeded the initiation of this ministry. Today is exactly forty-seven years and six months from the point when this ministry, the Third Sacred School, was initiated in its present form by Uranda, and it has been unfolding since that time. I mentioned that there would be seven seven-year cycles completed in 1981, September of 1981. I mentioned this because it provided a basis for understanding of what was necessary in our own experience when that point was reached. In other words something needed to be done in present experience, that we might be in the right place when that point was reached. As is usually the tendency in human nature, speculation arises. Speculation usually relates to external events: What's going to happen? I wasn't prophesying about what was going to happen in the external sense. We are well aware that the world is undergoing a certain amount of disintegration which is intensifying. So in that sense I suppose we could say things are going to get worse rather than better. But this is a spiritual ministry. Our concern is with what is happening spiritually speaking, and what is happening spiritually speaking relates to all of us individually. If our primary concern is with spiritual expression then we are not overly concerned as to what it is that may be happening materially speaking.

Those of you who had the opportunity of viewing the video last evening, I am sure were impressed by the impossible state in the external sense of the material world the way it is. This has passed the point of no return long ago. There is no way that the material world as we now know it can survive. That's the fact of the matter. This could be very discouraging, I suppose, to those who see no other possibility. The question is, do we see any other possibility? Are we aware of any other possibility? Are we in position to allow the expression of that other possibility? If we are not, then, like all the rest of the population of the earth, we have passed the point of no return.

It is indicated in a prophetic sense in the Book of Revelation that the first heaven and the first earth, which now are, pass away. Yes, the material world as it is now known passes away. Looking at that picture, it seems as though nothing could survive. That's true, nothing of the material world as it now is can survive. That's the fact of the matter. It isn't a fact that has really been faced by very many people yet. Human beings are continuing to exist as though the world were the way it was fifty years ago. It had probably passed the point of no return then, but it should be dramatically obvious in these days. Those who begin to see something of this sort try to do something about it, but it's too late—it's already too late. Radioactive material, for instance, is all over the place, and this is only one threat to material existence on earth. There are plenty of others. Add them all together and what do we have? Doom, doom for the material world!

If one is wedded to that world then it's a sad situation. There seems to be no other possibility, however. So human beings must frantically try to correct what is in-correctable. This needs to be seen clearly by us, surely. If such a view engenders fear then obviously we are still in and of the material world. What is happening in the material world is no threat to the spiritual world. In fact it is a cause for rejoicing spiritually speaking: “Rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to … the earth.” We need to see clearly that it is woe to the earth. The question is whether we can see that clearly and face the fact of it realistically without fear, without panic, without any futile endeavor to try to correct the thing. It can't be done. There is no way. Those who have not had the opportunity of seeing and understanding what the real way is may take such attitudes as were taken by this lady, that there is need for a great deal of protest. But protest never achieves anything. The attitude of being against something never achieves anything. It locks one into a position of disintegration. One is polarized in the disintegration. One is being governed by what one is protesting against. The question always arises as to what we are for, not what we are against.

Human beings, many of them, are against sin, but what are they for, what's the alternative? In the usual human view of things there isn't any other alternative. All human beings are sinners—that's it—if they are, then they disappear with the material world. Exactly what the alternative is in its manifest experience is something that is not known. It is futile to speculate about it. It is futile to speculate as to when the ultimate crunch comes. Thus far the news, the bad news of the point of no return having been long past, has been kept from the awareness of most human beings on earth. You can imagine what chaos there would be if the conviction of this suddenly came to everybody!—the conviction that everybody was moving toward an impenetrable barrier beyond which they couldn't go; they were going to smash up against it, which is what is happening. We don't attempt to speculate as to how long it takes for human beings to hit the barrier. We are not concerned with that. We are concerned with the one and only alternative. It isn't a material alternative.

There is nothing that can be done materially speaking to correct the situation that is now present and a fact in the world. No matter how many sincere people there may be on earth attempting to straighten things out somehow, they have undertaken an absolutely impossible task. It can't be done. “I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away.” Gone! What is the nature of the new heaven and the new earth? Let us not speculate, other than to recognize that it can be known only from the standpoint of spirit. It is a spiritual world primarily—that's the heaven of it—and it takes form accordingly. But what sort of form, and what sort of substance that form would be composed of, is an unknown quantity insofar as human beings now are concerned. It is assumed that there is no other possible substance than the substance that we now know. This in fact isn't true at all.

There is a great deal of substance in the universe of which human beings now know nothing. It is already a fact. However this doesn't acquaint human beings, in their present state of consciousness, with the truth of the matter. There is no way by which the truth can be known except by continuing in the Word. The Word must be spoken on earth if anyone is to continue in it. The concepts and ideas about what Jesus said, for instance, are of little moment; the Word needs to be spoken now. The concepts would only apply in the Christian world anyway. There are immense numbers of people who pay no attention to Christianity, even among those who might think of themselves as Christians. Paying attention to the concepts that have been engendered in Christianity would do no one much good anyway. That's all a part of the first heaven and the first earth which is passing away. Theoretically we say, “Let it go. It's no use holding on to it; we can't stop it from going.” But in a practical sense we need to understand how it is we let go of it. We let go of it because we are no longer interested in sustaining it in ourselves or external to ourselves.

When this ministry was initiated on earth forty-seven and a half years ago there was just one man. The only way that anything could begin to appear on a sound basis was in fulfilment of the One Law, which may be defined as, initially, radiation—spiritual radiation—to which there might be response. So this is the basis for the initiation of this present cycle in which we now share, in whatever measure—radiation, to which some human beings responded. The intent of the radiation was to engender response, response which would be followed by attraction, attraction to the point of radiation. The point of radiation was the spiritual point, and so the response would be a spiritual response, at least the response that had any meaning. If the response was merely based in material attitudes it wouldn't work, and there are those, of course, over the years who have come and gone because their response was certainly conditioned by material expectation.

The purpose, then, of the initial radiation was to engender response which would allow those who responded to draw close spiritually and thereby to begin to allow what was inherently present in the spiritual radiation to take material form. But the first requirement was for it to take spiritual form. The material form simply reflects whatever it is that has been established spiritually speaking. It is not a matter of trying to build something in form, even if that were possible, which it isn't. Perhaps I should modify that; it is certainly possible to build things in form but they don't mean anything. This is what was attempted and has produced what is called Christianity—to build a form, to build a church, somehow or other, when there was no spiritual focus to allow the form to be true to the spiritual design. It was the doctrine of men, and human beings building such things cannot build anything living. Anything that is not living is disintegrating.

Life is the only basis for integration, and life is very effective in integrating things when allowed to do so. It defies all the laws that human beings have invented to explain their environment. The law of gravity, for instance, is defied by the trees. It is actually defied by many things, because the law of gravity as human beings understand it doesn't exist. It isn't the truth of the matter at all. It is a human concept that has been developed to explain something that is inexplicable to them, and the concept that is developed is invariably a false one. A tremendous structure has been built based upon the idea of gravity and inertia, but it is a totally false structure. It is just a human way of looking at things, which doesn't reveal the truth to them at all. I am not suggesting that we should start tearing down the concepts which relate to gravity and inertia. That would be being against something, wouldn't it? We're agin the scientists! Mind you, there are some scientists who have begun to see a little further and have begun to find that many of the things they thought were true were not.

So what has been necessary was the building of a spiritual body. To do this and have it have meaning on earth flesh people were required. The flesh came along to the extent that there was true spiritual response, to the extent that those concerned were not interested in trying to translate everything into material terms. There have been a lot of people, of course, who have taken the attitude, “Explain it to me!”—in other words, “Translate it into material terms for me.” You can't do it without engendering all kinds of false ideas and false speculation. Over the years, then, there was the gathering together on the basis of the working of the Law: spiritual radiation, spiritual response, spiritual attraction. A body, a spiritual body, began to take form and there was flesh related to it, because these were people. But the flesh wasn't all that important; it was the spiritual body that was being formed, and in that formation certain evidences appeared materially speaking which became structures in the consciousness of all too many people, as though these structures were primary. They merely gave evidence, in whatever measure, to the extent that there were spiritually oriented people, of what was occurring spiritually.

When I mentioned these things before, there was a tendency on the part of many to try to throw out all the structures, which is not something that I suggested, but merely that there should be greater emphasis placed upon the spiritual body than upon the material body and the forms that had put in an appearance relative to that material body. They put in an appearance. They were necessary. They are a part of what has been unfolding. But if people get polarized in these external things, then the spiritual body is neglected and disintegrates once more. Our concern is to let this spiritual body take form spiritually speaking, and there will be some evidences of what is taking place in that sense materially speaking; these material forms of manifestation are all right, quite all right, as long as the spiritual body is there.

There is another element in here which has caused some trouble at times, when there wasn't adequate conscious experience of spiritual expression, because spiritual expression in one particular material situation might seem to be contradictory to spiritual expression in another material situation. If you judge by the appearance you judge falsely. You say, “Well look, there's a contradiction here.” Wait a minute! Let's go back to the spirit. If it is in fact the same spirit that is finding expression there is no contradiction, even though it may appear to be so in form. That appearance comes because there are a variety of circumstances. You know very well that in speaking to somebody, conveying some spiritual idea, you will convey it in one way to one person and in another way to somebody else; at least if you are functioning on the basis of spiritual expression you will do this. And what you convey to one person might, if judged by the appearance, seem to be contradictory to what you convey to somebody else; but it isn't if you are functioning correctly. It simply is handling that situation, whatever it is, rightly, on the basis of spiritual expression. The spirit is the same in any case but the form is different. Judge not by the appearance, and yet this is about the first thing that people judge, constantly jumping to conclusions. That is the most popular sport on earth.

So there has been the need to allow a spiritual body to take spiritual form, and in doing so there will be a material form associated with it. We do not deny the material form that is associated with it but we do not place the emphasis there. The emphasis is in spirit. Obviously this spiritual body needs to take form for some purpose. We have spoken of this as the body of the Son of God. The Son of God, in other words, has some purpose for this spiritual body which also has material form. Therefore the continuing requirement changes, doesn't it? Initially there is the requirement of allowing the spiritual form to appear. As it appears, there is something for that form to do. Initially everything was geared to finding those who would participate in this spiritual form. There wasn't anything else that could be done. Nothing else can be done until that spiritual form is present, composed of human beings who were willing to respond spiritually to the radiation. That spiritual form taking shape spiritually and materially has the ability, principally because of the material aspect of it, to speak the Word, the creative Word on earth. Then that becomes the primary requirement of the body.

There has been a great deal of shopping around to try to get people to come close to our Emissary structures; but this is not really the purpose of the body. For the body to take form spiritually speaking that was necessary, and it still is valid for a few people who reveal the fact that they rightly participate in this spiritual body, but the vast majority of people don't. They don't need to. We don't try to make them. Those who compose the body spiritually speaking may rightly be called Emissaries of Divine Light; but once the body is formed, Emissaries of Divine Light relates to something internal and the impact externally is not on the basis of Emissaries of Divine Light. Here is a way of defining something internal relative to the spiritual body that forms, the spiritual body of the Son of God. The Son of God incarnates in His body and speaks the creative Word, releases the creative tone on earth, so that there is radiation.

Now you see that here is the completion of that cycle: The initial radiation in miniature, the response of various ones to that radiation, their attraction into a spiritual formation so that there might be union. Union in that formation indicates that those concerned are present in that formation forever. They can't duck in and out. They cannot have any personal ambitions or expectations. Anyone who has those is not capable of passing the flaming sword and coming to the tree of life. All that involvement with the material world must dissolve in the experience of those who participate in the spiritual body of the Son of God.

We have, over the years, approached that quite gently, because most people would be scared out of their wits if it was suggested to them too soon. Of course the point is that there is a totally new experience here, a new heaven and a new earth. We have, I'm sure, ourselves repeated, “It is not a patch-up job.” We're not trying to repair the first heaven and the first earth. This is all that most people can see and all they can attempt to do. There is a new heaven and a new earth, a new state entirely, including a new material state. Now I'm not suggesting this merely from the standpoint of civilization or the organization that human beings have on earth, a new system, but an entirely new material state which would include an entirely new material, physical body. How else could the point of no return be passed? Tell me, how else? As long as the material body subject to all these terrible disasters is present and identifies people on earth, they're doomed. This has always been true in every generation all down through the millennia, but it comes to particular point now because the whole human race is faced with it.

They have been faced with it before at certain points in the historical unfoldment of things. This is not the first occasion when nuclear experimentation has been present on earth. Fortunately, before, there was the opportunity to bury everything under the sea. Now you'd have to bury all the land, so that everything would be sea. It seems to me the promise was that the flood would not reoccur. So we are again faced with the same situation as was true at the time of Noah. Everything that human beings do, all the thoughts of their hearts, are only evil continually, and the results of this are obvious to anyone who is honest enough to look at them. So something happens; something is happening. There are changes occurring at levels of which human beings have virtually no conscious comprehension. In one sense it could be said that those changes are driving people crazy. Of course they were crazy to start with, but it is becoming more paranoid as the years go by. The irrational and ridiculous actions of human beings are obvious to anyone who is honest enough to look at them or who can stand back sufficiently far from his own irrationality to see them.

So here we are, with whatever spiritual formation has appeared at this point. Now what I was suggesting before when I spoke of the fall of 1981 is that that spiritual formation had better be a fact, a reality, by then. It simply related to US—not to that world out there but to what we have done. There has been so much determination on the part of so many to retain their human nature approaches, and if you are honest you will recognize that is true of yourself. There has been an insistence upon maintaining the human nature state, which cannot survive. That's irrational, isn't it?—to try to hang on to a state in one's own experience which is doomed. Stupid! So we have the opportunity to associate ourselves with the Word that is spoken by the Son of God on earth. If that is so, there is no other word that we can speak; and when that is so, we find ourselves a part of a spiritual body which is present all over the earth.

Obviously this which has been taking form does not concentrate human beings all together in one geographical place, because it is a spiritual body with one accord spiritually, in one place spiritually. When this is so for the individuals who have let it be so, so that this spiritual body could take form, then each individual is responsible for his or her own world. In handling that responsibility it may be necessary that there should be those who are closer together materially and physically speaking. Obviously in the development as it has occurred it has been necessary to have this happen on Sunrise Ranch, because there were things to be done there that required a number of people to do them—but the real ministry of speaking the Word is very largely an individual matter, because all the individuals who are part of that spiritual body can be anywhere at any time with anyone and function on the basis of providing what is necessary in that circumstance. Heretofore, partly because there was the necessity of developing a spiritual body, there has been a great deal of inward looking; and there are those who have felt that it was important that groups should congeal all over the place. Well some of these groups may have a purpose, certainly to provide a setting for those who are drawing close into the spiritual body to begin to sense the quality and nature of that. But once it is sensed, once there is a going beyond the attraction phase into the union phase, there is absolutely no reason to be associated with somebody else in order to maintain one's spiritual orientation. One has taken that responsibility for oneself and no one else can change that, once there is the union in the spiritual body. But this experience only comes because of the fact of the spiritual body.

Now when this occurs, and it is suggested that people begin to relate more specifically to others in the world around them, there also has been the tendency to swing to an extreme and say, “Oh well, now, the Emissary business is all shot and we're going out on our own.” Good-bye, if you do that! It's not a matter of going out on one's own. Which own? Who's going out? Is it a human being trying to be spiritual? That's still a material person, a part of the material world which is doomed. So we stand together spiritually speaking, and because we do that we are capable as individuals, spiritually speaking, to handle our own fields of responsibility. These fields of responsibility relate to people everywhere on earth. We no longer are fishing in stocked ponds, as the analogy was used recently, and we are no longer fishing in the same way that we were before. The Son of God has a ministry on earth relative to the world, and the individuals who compose His spiritual body on earth are responsible for that ministry as individuals. But they do not see their ministry as separated or isolated from the whole spiritual body. It's all one thing.

It certainly does require, naturally so, a change of outlook. It is no longer a matter, which it should never have been in the first place, of trying to make converts for the Emissary ministry. There was never that necessity. There are those who naturally are drawn by the radiation, in response, to find union in the spiritual body, and when that body has grown in grace and stature to a certain point, that's it. As we noted before, we as individuals don't keep on growing physically all our lives. We reach a certain size and that's it. Of course some become more rotund. They can't add a cubit to their stature upward, so they grow horizontally, which is rather indicative of what is happening in the world, isn't it? There is horizontal existence, with practically no vertical orientation. We make that vertical orientation possible as the spiritual body of the Son of God takes form. As I say, that spiritual body which we allow to take form has a material component because we bring along our flesh bodies. We can't leave them behind, anyway, and still have any meaning on earth. So there is a flesh body.

It is only because this occurs that there is a means of orientation on earth by which others may be saved—that's a word that I hesitate to use and yet it's the right word—by which there may be a transformation of human beings on earth into a new state. This has been our expectation spiritually speaking for a long time but it hasn't been brought out in such specific terms. We've talked about the resurrection of Jesus, and we've nodded our heads sagely probably but didn't really comprehend that something of the sort could happen. There are those who try to believe that it happened, which is one thing, but to let it happen is something quite again. We need to recognize that there is a way already provided; it's present and may be experienced to the extent that the spiritual body of the Son of God is here on earth to open the door.

As you observe this now relative to yourselves I am sure you would feel somewhat inadequate. Are you going to be subject to that sense of inadequacy? or reveal in your living momentarily, intelligently, the expression of the spirit of the living God? If you do that you will live. If you don't do it you won't. That's true of all of us. I use the word you but I include myself in it. So here are the facts. Let's face them.

The Indestructible Body

The  Indestructible  Body

Martin Cecil   September 21, 1960

We have noted a very particular responsibility which presents itself at this time, a particular opportunity also, in relationship to that which will be transpiring in New York at this session of the so-called United Nations. We see some outstanding examples of human self-activity being applied to the purposes of men. It is interesting to watch, and to recognize how similar human beings are, whether in exalted worldly positions or in more lowly places. The same patterns of self-determination applied on a larger scale may be noted in this field of human endeavor—the same human weaknesses that are found everywhere. If the world is to depend on these men for leadership, we are made aware of a very precarious state of affairs. There are those in whom there is some spirit of rightness, of course, and we rejoice in that.

We find that wherever there is a right spirit we have something which may be drawn into agreement with the pattern of the Divine Design, so that the influence of the Power of God may be exerted. At this particular time, I suppose, emphasis is being placed upon the evidences of wrongness, and they seem to be very large and strong. But it is not the evidences of wrongness that are going to determine the nature of the outworking; it is the evidences of rightness. These things are, generally speaking, obscure on the world stage but they are present in the hearts and in the attitudes of human beings. Such things often go unnoticed. They certainly do not take a prominent place on the front page of the world press. But it is the elements of rightness, wherever and in whomsoever they may be, with which we are concerned, because it is that which allows for the establishment of agreement on earth with respect to the things of God that permits the working of God's Power in the fulfilment of His purposes. Regardless of the raucous voices, the jockeying for position, the threats and counter-threats, when there is agreement on earth in relationship to the things of God, that which is right shall prevail.

I think we might well be reminded at this point—not that we should need it for ourselves, but it is something which certainly requires emphasis in the world of man—of the first few verses of the 24th Psalm: “The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” That is a statement of literal Truth. Human beings with their brilliant intellects have perhaps forgotten it. Some of them deny it, but it does not alter the fact. It is something of which we need to be constantly and keenly aware.

God is strong. God cannot be defeated. Those who agree with God cannot be moved. Something is going to be moved. Human beings are busily engaged in trying to move each other around so that they can gain position for themselves, perhaps for their particular nation or ideology. Human beings can be moved— sometimes they go up a little, sometimes they come down—but God cannot be moved, and those who are in agreement with God begin to find themselves upon a rock foundation, so that they share in giving form to something which is immovable on earth. We have noted this principle before, and when it is recognized we see the futility, the lack of any necessity, of fighting. From the human standpoint, in relationship to the patterns that are in the world, in order to maintain position it seems most necessary to fight and struggle, to try to push the other fellow down—but from the Divine standpoint it is all so unnecessary, because once there is something established in agreement with God on earth, there is an immovable Rock. The seas may break upon it, may swirl around it, pushing and pulling, struggling and striving, but it makes no difference to the Rock, and that which is not a part of the Rock, in its strugglings and its strivings breaks itself to pieces against the Rock. But for this to be known there must be a Rock. It must have form on earth. We may recognize that there is a Heavenly Rock, if we could put it that way—God is immovable—but there has been lack of such evidence in the realm where man is.

We see the necessity of giving form to this Rock on earth with our own physical bodies, that it may be made manifest, that there may be that in the world of men which cannot be moved. There was a supreme example of the immovability of the Rock when it was made manifest on earth through the body of Jesus. Oh yes, it suffered abuse and was greatly hurt, but it could not be destroyed. Here, in focalized essence, was the revelation of that Body which should take form on earth to establish something here in the world which likewise cannot be moved or destroyed. That which is necessary we recognize to involve many people. Our Master was alone, virtually. All He could do was to reveal the principle in relationship to His own body. In doing so He did, in fact, take upon Himself the world's evil. We need to see this in the right way because it has been thoroughly distorted in the consciousness of those who call themselves Christians.

He accepted the condition which was thrust upon Him. He was willing to submit to that which was brought to bear against Him, not only from the physical standpoint but vibrationally speaking also. We recognize that the vibrational pressure was brought to specific point in the Garden of Gethsemane. It was something which was experienced in His own being—the weight of the world's evil brought to a specific point of focus in relationship to Himself. It was something that He could not have readily avoided, in any case, but it certainly was not His desire to avoid it, seeing that it had reached that point. There was only one thing left to do, and that was to accept it in relationship to Himself, the vibratory pattern of the world's evil, and then work through it and emerge victoriously on the other side. That was the only thing that was left for Him to do if there was to be any possibility of salvation, restoration, healing, however you wish to put it, for the body of mankind. If He had not been willing to do that, there would have been no chance for any other human being since that time. This is so because He was who He was, the LORD of Lords and KING of Kings, the Supreme Apex of Deity in relationship to this world. If the world had gotten away with rejecting Him without His having cleared through, out of the pattern of the world's rejection, there would have been no chance whatsoever for human beings since that time, and, in fact, the world of mankind would have destroyed itself long since. We are here today because of what He did, actually. That is true of everyone on the face of the earth, whether they call themselves Christians or not. It is just the fact of the matter, whether anyone believes it or not.

Our Master accepted the vibratory pattern of the world's evil into Himself, and then came through victoriously out of it. In other words, the body of mankind is now in the same position as He was then, subject to the evil. Human beings are governed by the prince of this world, regardless of any beliefs to the contrary. The very state of the world proves it. The body of mankind is subject to the prince of this world. Our Master, in the outer sense, let Himself become subject to that same experience in focalized essence when He was on earth, and then He proceeded to work through it and to emerge upon the other side victoriously, thereby opening the way for the world body of mankind to experience the same thing. The commonly held idea that somehow or other He died for our sins is, of course, nonsense. He did not die, in any case, for which we may be deeply thankful. He suffered what He did. He went through what He had to go through, because of the sins of the world, that is true. It was something He did willingly without any spirit of rebellion. No one else could have done what He did; no one else is required to do what He did; but if He had not done it, there would be no chance for any of us or for the world.

And so, in Him was made manifest the evidence of the immovable quality—the nature of the Rock made manifest. It can appear to be defaced somewhat, it can be ridiculed and abused, but not destroyed. That which is one with God cannot be destroyed. This experience of oneness is offered to the children of men, but can only be accepted by those who respond to the invitation. Each individual, in responding to the invitation, has to move through his own particular field of clearing. Our Master moved through everything brought to an intense point of focus in relationship to Him, something that is almost unbelievable. Have you ever experienced any difficulty in meeting something in relationship to your own experience? Have you ever been provoked into wrong attitudes or words or actions? Anything that you have experienced, or any of us have experienced, is but a little thing, insignificant, in comparison to that which was brought to bear on Him—and He stood alone! Yes, there was one disciple who did stay with Him, and a few women, but look at the opportunity that we have had. We have not been required to do it alone, nor have we been required to meet what He had to meet, in any sense. He did what was necessary and proved that it could be done, at the Supreme Point. There can be nothing brought to bear in relationship to anyone else that would equal that, so obviously no one else has any excuse. But it does not mean that it was all done for everyone else, in the sense that others would not have to go through their own particular cycles of clearing. It merely meant that it was proven that it could be done by One who met something which no one else would have to meet to such a degree. By doing it, by being willing to take all that into Himself and clear through it, He opened the way, held the door open, for all those who should follow Him. Looking round about, we do not see too much evidence of many following Him.

But here, in the ultimate sense, is the means whereby there may be restoration, healing, for the world body of mankind—resurrection, if you please. And there is no means by which any single individual can experience true healing except as a part of the world body of mankind which experiences healing. The resurrection of our Master's body from the tomb was the resurrection of the whole body; it was not just little pieces. The healing of the body of mankind is the healing of the whole body, not just little pieces of it. The parts of that body experience healing as the body experiences healing. Obviously, some movement in that direction can take place from the individual standpoint—there can be, and must be, clearings of various sorts. You have all had some experience in that regard—clearings in mind and in heart, and physical clearings. But no single human being is going to experience an ultimate state of healing, restoration, outside of the whole body which must experience healing. Up to a point, yes. In our individual physical bodies we recognize the close blending of all the parts, all the organs, all the glands. If there is upset in relationship to one it affects the whole body. Relatively speaking, some organs may be healthier than others, but if one organ is unhealthy all of them are, to some degree, because the body is one body. We see this same principle in operation with respect to the body of mankind—the body of the Son of God on earth.

We may perceive, have recognized, that there are two bodies in relationship to the body of mankind. One is the body of the son of perdition which is, and must be, lost. The other is the body of the Son of God, which, I suppose we could say, is saved, if we see the true meaning of the word saved. It cannot be destroyed. But it hardly exists yet. It is the movement of responding human beings out of the body of the son of perdition into the body of the Son of God that gives the body of the Son of God form on earth, and begins to allow the establishment of that which cannot be moved—no longer just the body of one individual but the true body of the Son of God. Jesus, the name given to the body in which our Master manifested on earth, can be seen as the name of the body of the Son of God. It was not really the true name of that individual body. Jesus (that is not quite the way it should be pronounced) is the name of the body of the Son of God, composed of many parts, many individual human beings.

It is into this body that we would let out bodies come. In doing so we experience what is portrayed, in order to remind human beings of what is required, in the so-called communion service. But instead of playing children's games, playing around with the symbols, the thing itself needs to be done. It is well that the symbols should have been there to keep the idea in human minds, so that they might wake up one day and let the real thing happen; but that is their only purpose. What was it our Master said? “Do this in remembrance of me.” In remembrance of what? In remembrance of that which He Himself revealed, in remembrance of the body of the Son of God, which was not just His individual body. It is the body which should include every man, woman and child on the face of the earth. Presently, the body of the son of perdition fills the earth, standing there like a giant. But, as our Master said, it is lost. Everyone has imagined that He was simply talking about Judas. No, the lost body of the son of perdition is composed of human beings who persist in their self-active ways. And what an example of self-activity brought to focus we see in relationship to the United Nations at this present time, something of a focus of the consciousness of the body of the son of perdition. Confusion, is it not? Something like the consciousness in the bodies of most self-active human beings—just the same thing, on a large scale.

Now we begin to become aware of another consciousness—the mind that was in Christ Jesus, the consciousness of the body of the Son of God, something in which we may share as we become members of that body and begin to allow the form which cannot be moved to appear on earth, the form through which the Will of God may be done, through which the Power of God may be made manifest. Human beings trying to get the Power of God somehow, so that they can use it for themselves to what they conceive to be good or constructive ends, must fail. They have a little life force, and by various self-active means they can build up something which looks pretty big in the world of man. But the only way which God's Power, manifesting in its constructive and creative uses, can appear on earth is through the body of the Son of God. Our Master revealed that in relationship to His own ministry, His own life. Exactly the same principle applies in relationship to the true body of the Son of God, which is not limited just to one individual body. The Will of God is done through the body of the Son of God. It is not done through a lot of segregated individual human beings who are trying to do it, perhaps trying to be good, trying to decide what it is that God wants them to do. There is just one body through which the Will of God may be done and the Power of God be caused to manifest, and that is the body of the Son of God. If the Will of God is to be done on earth, if the Power of God is to manifest, then the body of the Son of God must take form. And then those who compose that form are not segregated individuals. They are coordinated in one body, and the Power is manifesting through that one body. It may appear specifically in relationship to certain accomplishment through this individual or through that individual, or through this group of individuals or that group of individuals, but only because those individuals or groups are a part of the body of the Son of God.

The only value of that which human beings experience on earth as they begin to respond to God is to bring them back to the point where they may recognize, and be received into, the manifest form of the body of the Son of God. Anything that is moving in that direction has potential value; anything that is not moving in that direction is of no value whatsoever, no matter how good it may seem to be to human beings. We have a different basis of evaluation when we begin to see these things, and it is not the usual human concept of good and evil. Those who are yielding in response to the Spirit of God, so that they are coming Home into the body of the Son of God, are blessed; those who are doing anything else are cursed. It is never possible with human vision to discern who is on the way Home and who is not, and we need to heed our Master's instruction, “Judge not.” We take the attitude that it is open for everyone to come Home. We certainly have no desire to exclude anyone. There are many human beings in the world who seem to be, at the moment, excluding themselves. We may recognize that they are doing so, but that is not our wish or desire in the matter. No matter who it is, we never close the door in our attitude. We may be under the necessity of ignoring someone because we are so busy looking after those who are responding, but we do not take an attitude, at any time, that would exclude anyone. They are all welcome to come Home. Of course, people have to change to get Home, so they would not be the same when they got Home as they were when they started. And that, incidentally, is just as true of us as any others. Those who want to stay the same remain in the body of the son of perdition, even though their sameness may be considered to be goodness in the eyes of human beings. Anyone who stands still goes backward! There must be movement in the right direction if a person is to come into the body of the Son of God.

While a person moving toward the body of the Son of God may still be in the body of the son of perdition, nevertheless there can be movement Home. We can see that if all human beings were to accept this invitation the body of the son of perdition would be lost very easily. It just would not have any manifest form any more because all the human beings had moved over into the body of the Son of God. That would be the way the Lord would like to have it, but it is not the way human beings are likely to let it be. The loss of the body of the son of perdition will inevitably take a lot of human beings with it, not because it is God's Will, for God is not willing that any should perish, but because human beings insist on it; and God is not going to violate their right of free choice even to save them. Of course, they could not be saved if He did.

So, we are concerned with this immovable body here on earth. That which forms the body is in agreement with the Focalized Point of Identity in the body. That comes to its ultimate point in the LORD of Lords and KING of Kings, the One who manifested on earth through the individual body of Jesus. This is His body, an immovable Rock when it is allowed to take form. And the body is in agreement with Him. No longer are those who have become members of His body seeking to get God to agree with them—which is the human approach, generally speaking.

The only business in which we can become partners with God is God's business. As long as it is our own we have to get along on our own. We can try to get God to back us up, and we can manipulate around to a certain extent, as human beings have done within the range of what we would call black magic, and achieve a certain amount of success in the human sense. That is quite possible. It is not hard to be successful in the human world, if that is what you want. But it is not what we want, and that sort of success has nothing to do with the victory in which we are interested, the victory which is revealed through the body of the Son of God. That is the real success, and it comes because those who compose it agree with God and are concerned with His business, nothing else. The Son of God is concerned with God's business here on earth; therefore His body needs to be used for the essential purposes of that business, and that which composes the body must be willing to be so used, and also, of course, capable of being so used. It does not happen in a moment, any more than a baby gets up and walks right away. There has to be a body there first, with life in it, and then gradually the processes of coordination can be worked out—when there is a body. It cannot be done until the body is there. And that is just as true with respect to the collective body of the Son of God as it is with the individual human body.

So, the body must take form and all the parts must gradually come into a pattern of coordination, not just simply on the basis of subconscious control but on the basis of a conscious control. The human body only begins to give evidence of its true potentiality when there is a pattern of conscious control working finally through mind and heart, and physical body to some extent. So with the body of the Son of God. There is that which operates on the subconscious basis at the subconscious levels, but there is that which is required from the standpoint of conscious function—the fulfilment of the purposes of God, working in God's business on earth. And as there is this strong body, the body of the son of perdition does not have a chance, no chance whatsoever—the prince of this world is judged; it is already done. That which opposes God cannot stand against God, and that is proven to be so when the means for God's action, the body of the Son of God, is a reality on earth. Let us share in the processes of giving it form.
