Where Love Reigns Supreme

Where  Love  Reigns  Supreme

Uranda   November 23, 1952

In the outworking of God's love on earth there are many adjustments that are essential to the sharing of God's love. We have recognized that it is through Divine love that centering becomes possible. No matter how much the human mind may think to try to remain centered, without love it is impossible, and the first and the greatest of the commandments admonishes us to love God with all that we are. We have shared meditations on that point many times, but I would tonight that we might come to know more deeply, more fully, the reality of our King's provision, in His Kingdom on earth, in this matter.

We have recognized that without centering in love the control factors in truth cannot become effective and the design factors in truth cannot manifest. They become spoiled, distorted, and that which does appear is far different from that which God designed. The reality of the Kingdom requires that control and design shall manifest through the working of God's power. Fundamentally we have acknowledged that all power does come from God and that the power that destroys is from God but not under God's control; it is being used by the human agency, wilfully or ignorantly, to spoil God's design. When God's power is used by human beings to spoil God's design we have a horrible incongruity, something which by its very nature is abhorrent. But man has lived for so long with the distortion patterns of being, with that which is decaying and dying, that he has become used to the abhorrent factors in existence and accepts them as being natural. They are in fact unnatural, but in the self-active expression of the human being misusing God's power to spoil God's design we have the natural result in the condition which we find in the world.

I always feel at a loss for words when I approach the subject of God's love, the love of the LORD of Love. Our KING so loved the world, the earth and the people in it, His whole creation, that He came into the world to restore that pattern of relatedness, that whosoever believeth in Him, the LORD of Love, might not perish but have everlasting life. What does it mean to believe in the LORD of Love? What is there in your consciousness tonight which will allow you to have a deeper awareness of what it means to believe in the LORD of Love?

What if every question, if every problem, all the things which might be deemed a necessity in any way, shape or form, could be dismissed from consciousness so that the whole attention, the whole of the heart or feeling nature, the whole of the mind and the whole of the body, might be brought to point in this one thing? When there is love on earth, for instance, between a man and a woman, and it is real and it has a spiritual quality, it has a depth, the mutuality of that love establishes a timelessness. When there is a centering in relationship to that love, other things, though they be essential, are seen as secondary to love, no matter how important they might be, no matter how necessary it may be to do the essential work or consider other matters. It is not that they are set aside as meaningless, but the quality of that which is known and felt, the timelessness, and the recognition that that love is primary, gives meaning to everything else. Without that love what meaning would there be? Without love somewhere, somehow—not necessarily limited to marital love—but without love somehow, no human being can live a normal life. Without love there is only emptiness, coldness, meaninglessness. Whatever else there may be, only love can give it meaning. Whatever the need may be, only love can provide the starting point for filling that need. No matter what problem, without love there is no way of really solving the problem, no matter how much the human being may try. The basic pattern of love open to each and every one, without regard to anything else, is the most precious of all, the most priceless of all aspects of love: the love of God, the love of the LORD of Love.

When that love begins to work in and through the human being, and it is held sacred, the human consciousness and heart remain true to it, changes begin to take place. All changes are fundamentally adjustments either to the pattern of life or to the pattern of decay. Sometimes the human being resists the necessity of adjustment, but without adjustment the true expression of love is impossible, because the means of manifestation must become fitting to the expression of love. The endlessness of love is that which makes eternity desirable. Without love one could rightly abhor the thought of eternity. But love is of sufficient importance so that from God's standpoint the centering of all things, including God Himself, is established in love. Our KING, Supreme in heaven and earth, is the LORD of Love, the Apex of All. Love, then, is of sufficient importance so that from the standpoint of God's design, of expression in His own Being, disregarding the human being for the moment, in the Body of God made up of many God Beings the One who provides the apex is the LORD of Love. Not the Lord of Truth, not the Lord of Life, not the Lord of something else in the various aspects of God's Being, but the LORD of Love. He is the Center, the Supreme One, the Apex.

From the standpoint of God, then, in relationship to God Himself, Love is Supreme. To that end we have the second shortest verse in the Bible. The shortest one was caused because someone failed to recognize the truth of the second shortest. The shortest verse in the Bible has two words; the second, three: the simple statement, “God is love.” The shortest verse in the Bible: “Jesus wept.” Why did He weep? Not for the cause that human beings suppose. Not because Lazarus was in the tomb, not because all the others were weeping. He told them plainly, even before He wept, “Lazarus is not dead, but sleepeth.” But when Mary of Bethany forgot to remember that God is love and that the power of God is supreme, when she betrayed the trust He had placed in her to hold the pattern, when Mary doubted God's love, when Mary, who to the Master symbolized the centering of all the fulfilments for which He hoped on earth, yielded to the pattern of appearances and broke and became subject to the things to which the world is subject, then He wept; for in that moment He knew that what could have been would not be. He wept because there was not one, not even Mary of Bethany, who remembered “God is love,” who remembered the importance of staying centered regardless of appearances—not one, of those who should have provided the pattern in that hour. I feel the question rise in your mind with respect to the Disciple John. The pattern of which I am speaking had no direct relationship to him. I am not suggesting that John failed to maintain the pattern. I am talking about something else.

“Jesus wept.” Do you think the Master's life was without love? No. Mary of Bethany was His sweetheart. Mary of Bethany provided the centering, from the standpoint of the negative aspect of Being, for that outworking for which He was on earth, for which He labored. That provision of God's love we can say should have held—but Jesus wept. Why? Because the one whom He had trusted to hold the centering of the pattern in what we would speak of as the negative response of the world, to provide the key, forgot her responsibility. She forgot God's love, and “Jesus wept.” Mary yielded to the wrong precedent. Since the fall there was no other precedent but that of failure; but there was a precedent going back beyond the fall of man, and God's love had to have meaning on earth. There was a keynote of response in the outworking of things, a point where love reigned supreme, where nothing else mattered, and when something else was allowed to matter, Jesus wept.

So from the standpoint of God, from the standpoint of our LORD on earth, love was first. He said the first commandment had to do with love, God's love: to love the Lord thy God with all that you are. When there is this yielding to God's love, letting go in it, what happens? In the world there are crystallizations of every sort, distorted patterns wherever one may turn, nothing exactly the way God intended it to be. In the whole realm of humanity there is that which is moving toward that pattern of fulfilment, the Divine manifestation of the Divine Design, in the flesh of human beings, in their minds and hearts, but so often something other than God's love matters first. “God is love.” The centering of God is love; the expression of God is love; the nature of God is love. If, then, the reality of love is allowed to begin to work through the human heart there is the beginning of the relatedness with God. But the working of that love must do something. It must melt the crystallizations. It must bring about a yielding which allows adjustment to the Divine pattern, so that the delicate factors of the Divine Design may begin to have meaning.

One of the strangest things to me—and, I might mention, to all the angels of heaven—is this: That human beings so often seem to imagine that the essential adjustments are difficult, something to be resisted, something to be avoided as much as possible, that there is somehow suffering in those adjustments. Such an attitude reveals a tremendous ignorance with respect to love and truth and life. One of the greatest joys which any man or woman may know is the joy of going through the patterns of attunement or adjustment necessary to the ever-increasing reality of love, God's love, in life. Instead of resisting the necessities of change the human being should accept them willingly, gladly.

How can the body be healed if there be no change in the body according to the Divine Design? It can't. Only as changes come by reason of the control according to the Divine Design can healing come to the body. Only so can healing come to the mind or heart. These changes are not painful unless the human being makes them so. And if they are painful they are not the true changes; they are partial changes wherein factors other than God's are allowed to play a part, where human factors are imposed. Getting used to God's love is a delightful experience. Remaining true to God's love gives a sense of wholeness and wholesomeness, a consciousness of something holy and sacred. There is such a sweet spirit which pervades, and all fear is cast out, and there is no cause for suffering in any real sense. There is relaxation. There is letting go. There is yielding. There is a response which permits God's power to make changes. How deep does God's love go? To the intellectual level, so that one may say, “I love God”? If so, the moment the attention is centered on the necessities of our daily lives God's love is forgotten. But if it goes deep, deep into the heart, the feeling nature, and penetrates the body, it is there no matter what may demand attention, no matter what one may be under the necessity of doing. It is there all the time.

There is no adequate way to convey in words that which love is. It can be called a fire, and that would be true, but some would be afraid of it. It can be called a consuming fire; not because it destroys, but because it enfolds and contains, because it takes unto itself that which yields—to change, not to destroy it; not to bring it to an end, but to give it meaning. There are so many delicate factors in love, so very delicate, and only as there is an appreciation of delicate design, in truth, can the full beauties of love be known. The human being cannot be taught by lecture, by book, by blackboard design, just what adjustments must take place within himself with respect to this fulfilment. A general idea can be given, principles can be portrayed, but there is that something in each and every one which can appear only in the working of the spirit of love itself in the individual—not something that can be known in advance, not something that can be intellectually predetermined. It is something which can be experienced only in the working of love within oneself. And it cannot be described. That which is true of one may not be true of another, with respect to these delicate factors—in other words, each one has a peculiar design.

In the basic factors we are all alike, in the fundamental. And those things can be recognized and appreciated and known. They can be more or less described. They become common knowledge. But the human being who limits himself to that never knows what it is to live. There must be an unfolding of something beyond the range of that which is intellectually predetermined. There must be the outworking of something which is absolutely unique to the individual himself. It is in the delicacy of the design that the variations in characteristics become known. We may classify any person on earth as a human being. That is a very general classification—all human beings. Then we can make the division between male and female, and everyone is in one classification or the other. But that which is a basic fact does not make the distinction of Being evident. The delicacy of the Divine Design which relates to you is important to the fulfilment of your life, the reality of your ministry of service, the reality of your Being, what God intended you to be. But without love those delicate factors of design, spirit, nature, can never take outer form. They never find expression. They never have any meaning to you or to anyone else. So, while you may be a human being, you are not what you ought to be. You may be a man or a woman, but you are not what you ought to be.

How shall this come forth? By great intellectual attainments? By inventive genius? By mental gymnastics? By human emotionalism? By giving way to feelings of various sorts? Oh no. Of course wherever love is at work there are feelings, but it is a matter of letting that love, that fire, that feeling, work through in the sense of a centering, in the sense of an unfolding. It is such a revealing thing to the eyes of love, but if there are no eyes of love it reveals nothing. And that delicacy of design reaches back into the very essence or heart of God. It is this that characterizes our LORD and KING. If we think of Him simply as a King in some far-off place, a Lord, perhaps, more or less unapproachable—for those who do not know love it may be true, and it is—then you do not know Him: these delicate factors of Being, so intricate in design, so moving, so all-inclusive, so always new, so ever-changing and yet always the same. That sounds like a paradox to human ears, “ever-changing and yet always the same”—always the same in love but never the same in Being. Always there is that quality of newness, that quality of aliveness, which is beyond human words to describe. These essences, these delicate things which cannot be described, must be allowed an opportunity of movement within oneself. If one is so crystallized in fundamentals that the delicate things are always crushed or given second place, or some such thing, there can never be the unfolding of Being, there can never be the joy of true living, of true loving.

The LORD of Love. Why is eternity a reality? Fundamentally because of love. When one begins to know love as it centers in our KING, the LORD of Love, one begins to realize that even eternity can never exhaust the newness, the wonder, the joy of love. Love, true love, is something that never grows old. It is not subject to time. It is not subject to space or distance. It simply is, and it is eternally new. If there is anything which is not showing forth the quality of eternal newness it is because of a lack of love, a lack of centering in the God of Love, the LORD of Love.

What is it that makes newness, in the sense of restoring physical health, the restoration of the body to the Divine Design? There must come a newness, and the oldness must pass away—not oldness necessarily in the sense of years but from the standpoint of something that is out of design, something which is crystallized, something that is not allowing the delicate factors of Being to appear, so it grows old. It can grow old in five minutes, shall we say. I have met people where things grew old in five minutes, and one was glad to get away. But where God's love is working there is an eternal newness, something different, something alive, something refreshing, something delightful, something thrilling, something so deep and satisfying. In this ever-newness we have the secret of eternal aliveness, which is called Eternal Life. Without that ever-newness of love, God's love, extended life is impossible, because the crystallizations take over and that which is not of the Divine Design becomes evident in control. This ever-newness is the living quality of Being, and without it sometimes human beings reach a point where they so yield to the adversary that they even say such a horrible thing as, “What is the use?” What a depth of something too horrible to name!—“What's the use?”—the meaninglessness that brings such an expression. And where does that come from? From a lack of God's love. God's love is sufficient for all.

There is an interesting thing about our LORD and KING. His love is great enough to include every human being. His capacity to love has never been exhausted. There are not enough beings in heaven or earth, or both together, to exhaust His capacity to love. He has enough for you, and He can share all the love of your being and not exclude anyone else—a place for you in the heart of the LORD of Love. And it will not limit you. It will not make you something less than you are. It will make you something more than you are. It will not circumscribe you in the sense of anything distorting or limiting, but it will give you meaning to yourself and to others.

Blessed ones, love isn't something that you can get all in a lump, as if you might have some trucker deliver a ton of it. Love is something that flows and unfolds and moves. Some people seem to imagine that if they have love, then suddenly, as if they got the ton of it, everything would be thus and thus and thus and so, instantly, in a moment. But love is there for every human being on the face of the earth. It doesn't come by the ton; it comes by the measure of living. It is something that has to express through; and its intricate designs, its changing patterns, provide that something which increases the capacity to know God's love. God in His wisdom arranged that eternity would be available for the expression of love, not that it should be delivered in a lump and when that is gone it is done. It is not something that can be put in a box or jar or can or something, and stored. It is something which in its movement reveals itself. The quality of that movement is determined by the reality of the love that is involved in its unfolding expression.

When one begins to know love one begins to realize that it actually is primary, not secondary, and that God was not arbitrary when He pointed to that fact in the two great commandments. It is primary—it is the first thing, not the second. Once that primary thing is moving there begins to be a relatedness to other things: first to God, and then, according to the Divine Design in the outworking, one to another and to all created things. But you never see love twice the same. If you miss it in any moment, what you miss will never, in all of eternity, be available to you again, because it is never in any two moments exactly the same. All the eternity of the future will be taken up with the natural unfoldings of love in the future, and there is no time in all of eternity to return to something that was missed in the past. If you miss it in any moment it is gone forever. And God's love is too precious to miss, too important to throw away. We have seen that with God it is primary. The LORD of Love centers the Body of God, the Apex of it All—first, supreme. Human beings think to make it secondary? Oh no. If they do they destroy themselves, and day by day throw away, literally throw away, God's richest blessings. Once they are missed they can never be known, because they are gone.

That which is today will appear today, if we let love have its way. One should not waste time in vain regrets with respect to what is past. That will do no good. But one should learn the lesson well enough so that one doesn't today throw away that which should be known today; for God's love is available today, available to you. If you do not let it unfold today the opportunity is gone. Each new moment brings a new opportunity—and a whole eternity before us, endless—for the unfolding of the ever-changing wonders of God's love. Until you begin to appreciate the delicacy of design, the things which can be known only as they unfold—not by the word that is spoken, not to be put in black and white somehow—until one begins to let that delicacy of design have real meaning in oneself, one cannot begin to know the LORD of Love. But you cannot know the delicacy of design unless you are honest, faithful and true, unless you let the truth make you free by reason of your centering. There is no other way of centering than this, by reason of God's love. If you would know the ever-newness of God's love it must be through His love, according to the delicacy of design which God ordains. It is to this end, this fulfilment, that the LORD of Love Himself came into the world, so that instead of excluding love from your life and decaying, you might accept love in your life and share the ever-newness of God Himself.

The Divine Organization Is Not A Haphazard Affair

The  Divine  Organization  Is  Not  A  Haphazard  Affair

David Barnes   June 26, 2020   Salmon Arm, B.C.

I have been considering these questions: “Why are there over 7,594,000,000 human beings alive on the planet now? Why are there so many people leaving the planet every day through death and, at the same time, why are there are so many being born every day? Why this constant arrival and constant departure? Why this constantly increasing population of human beings, within a world-wide situation that seems like it can barely handle, not just the numbers, but all the problems that proliferate as a result of the diminished state of consciousness and function present in most human beings? Why are there over 7.5 billion God Beings incarnate in human form on the earth right now? I’ll read a short piece by Uranda in order to initiate a line of thought arising from consideration of these questions—words from The Triune Ray.

“Let us now consider the creation of the world. The creation of the Sun, having already taken place, was consummated, so that the world that was was transformed, or spiritualized, and became one in radiance with the God Beings who had created it, and in the transformed state it was, and is, a Sun of radiant action. This cycle of creation being consummated, the Sun must take part in further creative expression. Twelve groups of these God Beings (one of which Beings was and is the Master-Self within thee) went forth from the Sun, and each group began the creation of another world. Thus it is that there are now twelve worlds surrounding our Sun. One of these twelve worlds is the world in which we now dwell, continuing the creative action which shall in due season be consummated, that this world may also become a Sun.

“The group of God Beings of which thy Master-Self was and is a member came to this part of space to begin creative action. So-called space is filled, everywhere, with what may be called unformed substance. From a physical standpoint that which fills all space is not true substance… It is the unformed, that which has never expressed in form… The unformed is without vibration within itself. In the unformed neither the positive nor the negative is in operation. This group of Divine Beings, which were about seven billion in number, began a unified radiation into the unformed, which set up vibratory action and reaction in the unformed, and then it was no longer unformed, for as it responded, the formation took place on the lines of force radiated by the God Beings.

“As any text on the subject will prove, the word God, as used in the story of creation found in Genesis is translated from the term Elohim. The Elohim were the seven leaders of this group of God Beings, and it was under their direction that the creation of this world began, and still continues. This cycle of creation in this world will not end until the whole earth shall become a blazing Sun, radiant with Light, Love and Life, which is the Christ expression of God Being. Then shall it, the world, take its place in the process of creative expression.”

David Barnes — If originally 7-billion God Beings came to this part of space to begin the creation of this earth, and there are God Beings responsible for the Inner planes and God Beings responsible for the outer planes of this world, how could we have over 7-billion God Beings incarnate in this outer world without leaving the Inner planes devoid of God Beings? Since the God Beings come from the Inner planes into the outer planes in the processes of human incarnation, does that mean that there are no God Beings inhabiting the Inner planes right now, because all 7-billion are here? Where did all the God Beings come from, who now inhabit human bodies in these outer planes? If this is an honest inquiry there must be some simple answers, which relate to the processes of incarnation and birth, and the processes of departure, death and ascension, as we experience them now in this cycle of restoration. Jacob’s ladder is a good metaphor—angels descending and ascending; the comings and the goings of God Beings, from the Inner to the outer, from the Invisible to the visible and back into the Invisible. On April 25, 1960 Martin Cecil gave a Class Service, a classic—and many of us can remember hearing Martin slowly and carefully speaking, with the vibration of the early 60s coming through the sonorous tones of his timeless voice. Here are a few paragraphs from this transcript titled, The Organization of God Beings Composing God.

“There are in relationship to this planet God Beings who are responsible for it, and insofar as we are concerned the sum total of those God Beings constitute God. God, in this sense, in relationship to our planet, is then composed of perhaps some seven billion individual God Beings. These are referred to in the Bible by various words—the angels of God, for instance. God is composed of His angels, God Beings; but obviously, if this body of God Beings is to function in a manner that does not produce conflicts, there must be an organization, a pattern of some kind, which coordinates all God Beings into one thing, into the One God. This organization is made possible by reason of the principle of focalization. All things are drawn to a point somewhere, and we have utilized the triangle as a symbol of this principle. The triangle has an apex, and it has a body. That which is at the apex focalizes the essences of the whole triangle...

“We will think of God in relationship to this planet, this world, heaven and earth. The pattern of God Being is drawn to a focus at the apex. That apex focalization contains within Himself everything that may be expanded into the triangle as a whole. That apex focalization is one God Being. To identify that God Being we have spoken of Him as the LORD of Lords and KING of Kings. Contained within the rest of the triangle are the Lords over whom He is LORD and the Kings over whom He is KING. Contained within the Being of the LORD of Lords everything is drawn to focus insofar as the pattern of God Being is concerned in this world. There is one God Being incarnate in the body of every human being on earth. There are many God Beings who are not incarnate in human beings on earth. There are less than three billion human beings at this present time on earth. There are those God Beings who are incarnate on earth and those who are not.

“In relationship to the pattern of God Being there are those who are specifically responsible in relationship to the Inner Plane aspects of this world and there are those God Beings who are specifically responsible for the outer Plane aspects of this world. Specifically, we see that in relationship to the LORD of Lords and KING of Kings, ruler of heaven and earth, He is in turn the representative of the higher focalizations of God Being as they are established in the Solar System as a whole—specifically in the Sun, of course; but He is the highest point insofar as this world is concerned. One individual God Being, the LORD of Lords and KING of Kings, that God Being, that specific God Being, incarnated on earth in the body of Jesus. So that which was made manifest through Jesus was a revelation of the highest point of God Being in relationship to this world. We can recognize, from the standpoint of the words which He spoke, either that that which was of the outer form recognized the Father as being the LORD of Lords and KING of Kings—in other words the God Being incarnate in that outer form” [was the LORD of Lords and KING of Kings] “or, if the word was that of the LORD of Lords, expressed through the outer form and reference is made to the Father, then that would be reference to the higher point of focalization of Deity which centers in the Sun.” [So sometimes when He spoke and used the term Father, He referred to His own God Being, incarnate in His own human form; and sometimes when He spoke and used the term Father, He referred to His own higher point of focalization, that One who dwells and centers in the Sun.] “It can be looked at either way. It is all one thing, but it is one thing because of all its parts.

“There is an organization of God Beings below the apex point of the LORD of Lords. Specifically we may recognize a focalization of God Being, one individual God Being, bringing to focus each Plane of Being insofar as this world is concerned. The Seventh Plane is the highest. We sometimes speak of the LORD of Lords as the LORD of the Sacred Seven. We have a focalization for each of the three Inner Planes and a focalization for each of the three outer Planes. Each focalization focalizes something; in other words, there are God Beings who are focalized by the primary focalizations—these seven are spoken of in the Bible, in the Book of Genesis, as the Elohim, one of the words of God, a plural word. Let us make man; that expression, ‘Let us make man’, was forthcoming through the Elohim, the Seven Rulers of this world, the seven focalizations in God insofar as this world is concerned, the highest point, the LORD of Lords, and a focalization for each Plane of Being—Inner and outer. That is about as far as we need to go at the moment. These six God Beings on either side of the LORD of Lords are responsible to the LORD of Lords. Those who are focalized by these six are responsible to the particular focalization under which they serve. And so the whole Body of God is brought to the apex on the basis of focalization. There are those God Beings who form the base of the triangle and they fill the whole triangle to complete the One God as far as this world is concerned. That triangle is a portrayal of the One God. Therefore, individual God Beings have specific places in relationship to that Divine Pattern; and it is that specific place which needs to take form on earth through you, so that that which is in heaven may be made manifest on earth.

“As far as possible I wish to clarify the nature of the Divine Organization which constitutes God. God is not one person. God is One Being but He is not one person. He is composed of a great number of individualized aspects of God Being, and there is one such individualized aspect incarnate in you and in every human being on the face of the earth; and there are many who are not, of course. The number of God Beings who are responsible for this world are a very small proportion of the number of God Beings in the Solar System; and the number of God Beings in the Solar System are a very small proportion of the number of God Beings in our Galaxy; and the number of God Beings in our Galaxy are a very small portion of the number of God Beings in the Cosmos. But in relationship to the whole pattern, this principle works, and finally it is drawn to a point of apex insofar as the whole Cosmos is concerned. There is an ultimate point of apex, what we might call the GOD of Gods—the Central Focalization of Deity for the Cosmos. But there is an uninterrupted pattern extending from that point throughout the whole Body of God, right down to us here. We're connected all the way through, but we are connected through by reason of focalization. Insofar as this world is concerned we all come to focus in the LORD of Lords, and He provides the connecting link between that which is higher again. The Divine Organization is not a haphazard affair.

David Barnes — When we consider how haphazard the affairs of human beings are in general, it is obvious that this disorganized state is not a perfectly correlated manifestation in the outer planes of that which finds coordinated manifestation in the Inner planes. Mankind right now is not operating as a connecting link in the chain pattern that should extend from us here, all the way through the higher spheres to the Center of the Cosmos. There is a unbroken angelic continuum and an organized pattern everywhere, except in the current disrupted and disorganized state of affairs in the human world.

So, given that over 7,594,000,000 people are now alive on the planet, the question arises as to how all 7-billion God Beings who form this 7-plane world could possibly be incarnate in the outer planes right now. If every God Being has a specific place of function, some in the Inner planes some in the outer planes, how can there be 7.5-billion God Beings incarnate as human beings right now? Where did all these God Beings come from? This is something to think about, particularly in this apocalyptic year 2020. This isn’t 1960 when the human population was  only about 3-billion. There is extreme imbalance experienced in the earth, created by the haphazard affairs of human beings functioning separate from the Divine organization. A tremendous imbalance is evident. But what is going on here, as it relates to angelic affairs? Far more than we can know, without doubt. Ultimately, everything is governed by the Elohim—the LORD of Lords and the other Six Archangels who form the Supreme Council of the Sacred Seven—through angelic focalization. This temporary state of imbalance imposed on the earth by fallen and disorganized human beings will not go on forever. In this outer world there are human beings leaving every day through what we call death—and probably there will be much greater numbers of people dying in the days to come as we move deeper into this cycle of Galactic and Solar intensification, and earth purification. Many more God Beings will be leaving these three outer planes—certainly many more will be leaving the earth at some point in the not too distant future, many more dying than will be born. Meanwhile we have this current state where the earth seems to be overpopulated. Where did all these human beings come from?

The creation of this 7-dimensional world is under the direction of the LORD of the Lords, the LORD of Love—and He is also the LORD of the Shekinah Fire Pattern for this whole Solar System. He is the focus point for the Shekinah Fire for all the 12 planets which form our Solar System. The One whom our Master called His Father is the One Who Dwells in the Sun, at the Center of this Shekinah Pattern for the Solar System. It is obvious then, that our LORD has command over much more substance, and many more angels, and many more specific creative processes and cycles, in His capacity of LORD of the Shekinah Fire for this Solar System, than just the substance and the God Beings who are part of the grouping responsible for the creation of this earth. But relative to the restoration of the earth, He is Commander-in-Chief of the whole Project, and He has command over all the angels, and all the power and all the substance necessary to complete this mission. He told us, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

On July 27, 1946, Uranda told a small group assembled at Sunrise Ranch that when the LORD of Lords incarnated as the man Jesus, “one of the focal God Beings who normally functions in the Sun came to the Inner planes of this Whole Holy World, and in conjunction with the Lord of the Sacred Five—these two God Beings—filled that place” in the absence of the LORD of Lords from His place in the Inner planes; His place which could not be left vacant when He left the Inner and came into the outer planes. In light of this awareness, consider the probability that the LORD of Lords, the LORD of the Shekinah Fire, has drawn a great many God Beings from the Sun itself, and from other parts of our Solar System, to this 7-plane world—as He coordinates with the focalization within the Sun itself, and with the focalization for this whole Solar System, to restore the outer planes to Oneness with the Inner planes. He has many angels and much substance at His command, as He works to restore the Oneness of Heaven and earth in the consciousness of human beings, to restore Man and Woman, and to restore the systems of the planet itself to balance. The LORD of Lords, in agreement with His higher points of focalization, and all those within the Divine Organization He governs, has all the resources and all the power necessary, and many more angels at His command, than we have knowledge of at this time in our limited consciousness—much more than just the substance and the angels who compose the Divine Organization for this 7-plane world, or just the angels who are incarnate in the three outer planes.

Recognizing the drive to procreate that governs fallen man, no doubt this perverted instinct is being used to advantage, as more angels incarnate and more human beings are born, using this unbrideled drive to let the pressure increase in the fallen world. There is a true and wholesome purpose for sex, that is much more than just physical procreation, but it is largely unknown to people right now. With vastly more human beings now populating the earth, and with the Fire and the Light moving through increasing numbers of human forms, human beings are in a squeeze from both above and below, from both Inner and outer—and the alchemy of transformation and the ultimate transmutation of the human state is inevitable, one way or another. The implications are many. The haphazard, disorganized state that has been imposed by fallen man in this 3-dimensional world cannot last much longer. In the Sun and in the Solar System, all the God Beings needed have been, and are, and will be, used to force the issue and increase the pressure, if it doesn’t happen willingly. All cooperation and all coordination is being made available, all the resources of this Solar System are being brought to bear as needed, to increase the pressure and to increase the Fire, and the Light and the power of Life to provide the impetus and the urgency, to force human beings to make the required change in polarity and identity, and come into attunement with the Divine Way. If human beings fight the process, then the impetus and the force will push great numbers of human beings out through death, and a great many God Beings will depart, ascend—leaving only an adequate number on earth, consciously attuned, properly coordinated and focalized, to let a rebalancing of the rhythms and systems of this planet, and all the kingdoms of this world be restored to the Divine Organization and the government of the Elohim.

This is happening now—and all the increased pressure and intensity, and craziness, that we feel and see on the planet is because of the Fire, the Light, and the Life Force that is being released from the Inner and outer planes, from the Sun and from within the Solar System, and from within the earth itself. It is Divine action that is bringing all of this to bear right now. We know that. Most people don’t. But we are involved, we are in the midst of the action, we are conscious of our part and cooperating with the process, and for us it is not a haphazard affair. We naturally become organized within the context of the Divine Organization. This too is happening now. This awareness should bring peace to all open hearts, in the midst of all the current changes, the comings and goings, the births and the deaths that are increasing on earth right now. We consider these things, but with no assumption that anyone knows very much about them at all—just enough insight comes, and it may increase.

The main point is that all these matters are governed from a place where human beings really cannot interfere; and at the same time there has been the need to find human beings who will cooperate in the outer with what is already being governed from the Inner. So we do know enough, certainly enough to provide the assurance and open-hearted angelic response—mature, intelligent response that would let us live in mature, intelligent alignment with the impulse toward the restoration of the Divine Organization in these outer planes, letting go of this haphazard arrangement that human beings have created, and that is increasing hell on the planet, devastating many life forms including our own—and it is disturbing the patterns of the whole Solar System, so that can’t go on, and it won’t of course. So we need human beings who, in their stance of humility and agreement provide wide awake and conscious points in the outer world that are in agreement with the governing points in the Inner, so that there can be an adequate consciously and unconsciously coordinated control pattern on earth through which the power of the LORD of Lords can work to change everything. We have a vivid sense that that change is really big—not just little changes any more: big changes. They are happening now, and there is plenty more to come.

I’ll close by reading some words spoken by Uranda on June 29, 1953—words filled with transcendent and yet immediate meaning for us—from a Class Service titled Centering In Shekinah.

“Herein is my Father, the One Who Dwells, glorified. Herein is the One Who Dwells glorified, that ye bear or bring forth much fruit, the fruit of the Spirit of God on earth in physical form. As the One Who Dwells hath loved me, the Shekinah Fire, so have I loved you. Now love is the business of the Shekinah Fire. The One Who Dwells loves the Shekinah Fire. “As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love.” You begin to realize that there are many, many passages revealing the Master’s statement, which definitely clarifies the fact that He was and is the LORD of Love; that He has the responsibility of providing the focalization factor of the Shekinah Pattern for the Solar System. Now you may have, in times past, thought of our LORD and KING, the One who was made manifest on earth through the body of Jesus, as primarily relating to this world only; but I would mention to you this morning the basic fact that He is the One who carries the Focalization Pattern of the Shekinah Fire for our entire Solar System. And as He was the Spirit of Love made manifest, so did He promise to send another Comforter, to be recognized as the Spirit of Truth made manifest.

“He said: Herein is the One Who Dwells—the Supreme Focalization of Deity for all of the Solar System. Now in this He was not actually, in the deeper sense, talking about His own God Being. It can be applied on that level, but if you have the larger vision you see that the Father of whom He was speaking in this instance, as in many others, was the Supreme Focalization of Deity for this Solar System; and it is under that Focalization of Deity that He has the responsibility of focalizing the Shekinah Fire—that particular part of the Pattern as it extends out through this part of creation. And He is our LORD and KING. “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” He was just as great before you had any conscious awareness of His position in the Cosmic scheme of things as He is now. We have just as much reason to love Him, and to acknowledge Him, before we know that, as we do after.

“But in this you begin to see that the body of planets surrounding the center of the Solar System, which we call the Sun, is not to be properly considered as many separate, distinct, segregated bodies—the planets. In actual fact all of these bodies around the Sun, that are called planets, are integral parts of one thing, with a much deeper significance than would be immediately evident merely by saying they are all part of one Solar System. We are a part of this body of planets, and the body of planets is very important to us. And to be a disciple of our LORD and KING gives us the opportunity of sharing in much more than just living a good life, as human beings think of it in the ordinary pattern of existence. That isn’t following Him; that isn’t being a disciple. We begin to realize that as disciples of our LORD and KING we have responsibilities far greater than your minds have yet been able to comprehend.

“Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” As the Father hath loved me, as the One Who Dwells in the center of the Solar System hath loved me; so have I, the Supreme Focalization of Shekinah in the Solar System—that is, the Shekinah Fire—so have I loved you: continue ye in my Love—the Spirit of Love. And He is the One who is the LORD of Love, the Supreme Focalization of Love everywhere. “Continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love.” Abide in my love; abide in the Shekinah Fire, whereby you have established, in you and through you, the pattern of your true relatedness to me. “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in His love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth”—that is from the time you reach the state of being a friend—“I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth.” You haven’t known very much about what I was doing, have you? You begin to realize that. How much less do you know about what our LORD and KING is doing!”

Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world

Hallucinations  And  Blind  Spots

Uranda   Thursday July 29, 1954  pm

We have been considering that which is necessary to the full release of God's power on earth, and we have recognized something of the basis of spiritual psychiatry. It is possible that during our absence you will be sharing a meditation together upon some of these things. But in a development of the pattern of understanding the underlying factors which prevent fulfilment in human life, and what we can do with respect to them, it comes to the point where it is in the pattern for us to include, at least briefly, how it is that these distortion points or blind spots that have become buried in human consciousness may be cleared away without the necessity of undertaking the usual process of trying to dig them out one by one. It may be necessary sometimes to specifically consider some basic blind spots, draw out the cycle of consciousness with respect to a particular experience, but we do not need to go through this process by which we probe around inside to bring to the surface all of these things. From man's standpoint it is to uncover some ill condition which must be approached from the standpoint of psychiatry. The best he can hope to do is to establish in consciousness a new idea, or a different idea, to substitute one idea for another. Mary people have been helped to a degree by this process, but admittedly it is incomplete and not altogether satisfactory. When man is depending upon his own wisdom, his own idea of what is normal, of what is best for himself or for another, there may not be too much improvement even if there is a successful substitution of ideas.

In conjunction with this we bring to mind the fact that you have been meditating upon Shekinah, the evidence of the Presence of the One Who Dwells. You have been looking at some of the factors of Heavenly Magic. Gradually, you have been developing a sense of the presence of Divine Will. The action on earth of Divine Will, in the working of the Spirit, may be distorted by the human mind so that the power of God is used to produce ill conditions. No one could have produced an ill condition, no one could even get sick, no one could make any ill thing of any kind without using the power of God to do it. But that power of God has been used by the human mind without regard to the Will of God and the wisdom of God.

When we think of the problems which relate to such a state of guilt which we see on every hand in the world, we must necessarily think of futility, the fact that these things cannot be worked out on earth without definite, specific intelligence. They are not going to get better by happenstance, by chance. They are not going to improve by some mysterious magic or power exerted from the outside. They are not just going to get better by themselves. If there is improvement in any person or situation or condition, that improvement must be brought about through the use of intelligence. When we think of intelligence, perhaps we are not sure of what we know or think we know. Your ability to have intelligence or the capacity for intelligence, even though it might be present, would be utterly worthless without knowledge—the things we know.

Human beings try to know many things. They study. They go to school and college and university in order to learn various things. But the Master mentioned something about this necessity of knowing, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” The state of freedom of which He was speaking was surely a state of being free from sickness, disease, ill conditions of every sort in body, in mind, and in heart—ill conditions of circumstance. As long as we are controlled by the ill conditions round about us in the world, we are not being controlled by God. If most of the things we know relate to those ill conditions, then our knowing is of a nature which produces a state of slavery.

You may watch people in relationship to their pattern of expression in life and day-by-day, as you listen to their words, as you observe their attitude, as you examine the pattern of action, you will begin to note something—they will tend to talk about what they know or think they know. That is rather automatic. The thing they know, where their primary place of interest rests, will most surely be given expression in some way. You do not have to become a mind reader to begin to observe and see and recognize. And if a person, in talking, tells you how he knows what it is to suffer; he knows what it is to have ill conditions of various kinds; he knows what it is to have losses; he knows how inconsiderate someone is over here; he know how foolish someone is over there; he knows how someone down yonder needs to be corrected; he knows so many things. Almost all of the expressions with respect to what he knows relate to the state of slavery, not to the state of freedom. Much of that which human beings express is designed to make you understand why it is that they suffer so or that they have this limitation, why they are not better than they are, why they are not accomplishing more in life. They want you to understand why they have accepted a state of slavery.

Now, underneath this state of slavery or subjection to it, there is always a sense of shame. People are, actually, even though they talk so much about it, even though they may advertise it from the housetops, even though you may not be able to be with them for five minutes without hearing about it, people are ashamed of their own limitations. A great deal of the talking about what they know about ill conditions is supposed, according to the way they think that they think about it, it is supposed to make you see why they cannot help it. They are ashamed of it but they just cannot help it. They cannot expect anything other than that which is there. And ye shall know all about the conditions which make illness, suffering, misery, limitation, and these things shall make you to be slaves.

A blind spot is a trait in the subconscious realm where the individual simply did not learn the truth about something. You cannot learn, actually—you may think you do—but you cannot actually learn that which is untrue, that which is false. As far as the basic pattern of your Being is concerned, these blank spots or blind spots are not filled with wrong ideas, wrong concepts, etc., that are simply areas in the mind where you did not know anything. You did not learn the truth, you did not learn something, because from some source—parents, brothers, sisters, friends, relatives, preachers—you were given an idea with respect to what should be in this area, which is not true. You draped an idea over this area and you thought you had learned something. You accepted the idea but it did not connect up in the mind. It is blank. It is a blind spot. It is a place where a person thinks he knows something and does not. The person who thinks he knows all about the ill conditions, as he has been recognizing it, is simply telling you that these are the wrongs in which he knows nothing. If he knew that he was displaying his ignorance and declaring from the housetops, “In this realm I know nothing; with respect to this I am ignorant,” he probably would not do it quite so freely. But if we start out, say at the age of three or younger, with a blind spot, our parents, our friends help the child anywhere from one to three years of age to accept it as an idea in his mind. The child tends to believe it, just because someone in his or her realm said so. The child believes it, but this area in the mind, where the truth concerning this subject should have gone in, cannot be penetrated by the false concept—it cannot go into the mind; it cannot penetrate.

You go through the motions of learning something, but it does not go into the consciousness in a sense of knowing. It is an idea which the individual thinks that he knows; he has draped it over this area or has set it up there somewhere close. He has collected some ideas together like a pack rat gathers to make a nest and yet that is not something that he really knows. A little while ago I talked about it from the standpoint of what he knows, and yet it is only what the individual thinks that he knows. He thinks that he knows much about what is actually nothing, because that which is not something is the absence of life.

If one has ideas with respect to nothing, he cannot know those ideas. He may think that he knows those ideas, but those ideas do not have the power to penetrate into consciousness in the sense of knowing. As soon as we begin to realize this basic fact, we see that the easy way is exactly that—it is easy. Human beings think that it is hard because they think they know something which they do not know. The difficult part of it, in relationship to helping people get well physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, is not with respect to accomplishing what needs to be done in the sense of the constructive expression, in the sense of establishing the knowing—the difficult thing is to convince the person that what he thinks he knows he does not know. Now, he may be ever so sincere, ever so earnest in his belief, but if what he thinks he knows is really a false idea, that false idea is what? It is really not a thing. It does not have the power to penetrate into consciousness in a real sense. The false idea is the absence of the consciousness of truth. We think it is the presence of something because in imagination we have developed the idea, and we have come to believe that.

Remember what God said at the time that the outworking on earth came, which is commonly called the flood. He said that “the imaginations of men's hearts were only evil continually.” Now, where is the imagination?—in relationship to the heart, the feeling nature—an idea given life by a form, a certain amount of substance for the moment by feeling with respect to it, that it has no power to penetrate this consciousness. It is like the fall as we experience it now—it is a surface thing spread all over; it does not really penetrate. But if we have one blind spot started at the age of one to three, we will say, and another one that comes in five or six, and another one, twelve or thirteen, what happened with respect to these basic blind spots, these basic blank spheres? The individual has at absolute points decided that he knows something which he does not know. He only thinks he knows because that which he imagines that he knows is not something that can be known, in actual fact. So he covers up the area of consciousness where he might know the truth with this thought, this idea, this imagination of his heart.

Suppose we have only five or six basic blind spots by the time a person reaches twenty-one—the individual will come to a point on the surface of his life where he needs to put together what he thinks he know in order to appear to know something about this. So he thinks what he does not know is a false idea; and add this to what he does not know, the false idea; and brings in another something that he does not know, the imagination of his heart—which is only imagination, figment stuff—and he brings it together there and says, “Now, with respect to this, I know. I have seen, I have felt, I have recognized. This I know.” It grows, until starting out with only a few basic blind spots, a key factor, they work back and forth until finally the individual can become blind to the evidence of the Presence of Cause. And he evaluates everything on the basis of what he thinks he sees out here. But what he sees is shaped in the realm of imagination by factors of not knowing, by evil imagination, what he does not know, until effects are not seen for what they actually are. The individual sees something here and he thinks it is one thing and it really is not. He believes it sincerely. He is absolutely convinced of it within himself, but it simply is not so.

If a person goes too far in that process, in which most human beings indulge, he gets out of the range of what normal human beings accept in the realm of hallucination, and he has an extra good one. And they say, “That person is suffering from an hallucination. He is a little bit off. That person is just—why, he really isn't Napoleon, you know; he is run down.” And the person who does not have hallucinations sees the hallucination in someone else, and he himself does not know that they are both just a little bit off. The whole realm of hallucination, people thinking they know things they do not really know, and believing it with earnest sincerity, and then when they begin to talk about knowing the truth, they want to sift what they think they know in the realm of not knowing with what the truth is. They want to knit it together, and shape it, and mold it, and it will not work. The realm of knowing goes back into the realm of true consciousness, which human beings have covered up with their layers of not knowing and with evil imagination, false idea.

When our living out here is based on not knowing, which is to say, hallucination, it becomes more and more empty until we see many people who are—not more than thirty years old sometimes—find life becoming very, very empty. They feel frustrated; they feel cheated; and they start trying to find something worthwhile to fill up their lives. They may start drinking. They go to a lot of motion picture shows. They go to all kinds of entertainment or clubs or something. They are going to try to fill up their lives so their lives will not be so empty, and the reason their lives are empty is because they are not lives—they are only hallucinations. It is an existence. There is a life underneath but what they see is not life, because it has been produced by evil imagination, their own hallucination, which is to say a state where the person thinks he knows something when he does not know it. It is not true. It is a figment of the realm of not knowing.

The Master said, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free,” an absolute, positive assertion which is true. He spoke the truth. We can accept it. We can trust Him. But these layers of evil imagination that have been developed on the basis of not knowing—because parents have not known how to teach their children the truth, and the teachers did not know, and the ministers did not know, and the sunday school teachers did not know, friends did not know. So the mind, as far as the consciousness is concerned, and the sloppy upper layer of what is called memory, filled with not knowing and evil imagination, is actually an hallucination. Getting rid of all this is no trouble at all because it is nothing, as soon as the individual is willing to face the fact that it is nothing.

Many of the misunderstandings which people develop in relationship to me and my function as your Minister comes about because I have no choice but to treat nothing as nothing. Now, for little children playing games, we may for the moment fall into the game for a little bit. It has some little stick and it is playing it is an airplane, and we know that the child will grow up and a year or two later a stick will not represent an airplane to him, and he will want a model then—in other words, his pattern of vision will change, and his little hallucination there, which we accept for the moment, does not mean anything. We are not bothered about it. We do not try to correct him. We do not say, the minute a little girl perhaps playing with a scarf over her shoulders is a wedding gown, we do not say, “Oh, no, that is not a wedding gown; and anyway, you are too young; you are not to play like that; that is not sensible; that is foolish.” For a parent to take that attitude is, indeed, foolish. Let the child have that pattern of innocent hallucination or you will establish permanent hallucination, and the child will grow up believing something that is not so. He knows the difference, as a child, between the realm of make-believe and the realm of what is real, and it is not any concern. But when he begins to get older and he lives continually in this realm of hallucination and make-believe, he destroys his effectiveness in life.

He thinks he knows so many elements of not knowing that he has no realization that he needs to know what he does not know—and that is the point of danger. The child, playing his innocent games of make-believe, as he moves along, does not use that to blind himself to the fact that he needs to know something more—the truth. But the young person getting into the teens who carries the pattern over too far, he begins to think he knows when it is only an idea in the realm of not knowing. Then he does not know what he needs to know. He has blinded himself. And finally, he convinces himself that something is true when it absolutely is not—and that is hallucination. He thinks such and such is the case when it is not the case at all, and if you undertake to tell him it is not the case, he will generally argue, or feel that you do not know, or do not understand, or you do not see what he sees or something, because people have established this layer of not knowing in relationship to the evil imagination of their own life. It is a realm of ghosts—it is a realm of memory of things that had best been forgotten. Some people can go back into this ghostly realm of make-believe and tell you the whole story of all the sufferings and miseries and ashes and pains—all the different ways in which they have been cheated or hurt or misunderstood or something else. They can talk and talk and talk about them.

The former things are supposed to pass away so that they will not be remembered nor come into mind, but do they? If a person is existing in a realm of make-believe, hallucination, of not knowing, the only substance that he has in relationship to his memory is that about which he felt something puny. In this realm of hallucination the individual does not have very much keen feeling with respect to what he imagines was the good things. The so-called good or lovely things generally do not make very much impression because they do not have very much feeling current. It is the point where he suffers, where he felt insulted, where he felt hurt in some fashion, that there is the deeper feeling. People will tend to forget more quickly the good things that happen to them, the nice things that people did for them, than they forget the bad things. Of course that is not true of all people. I am talking on a general basis for the moment. But watch it in the patterns of human beings. They will talk about what they think they know, and it tends to revolve around their sufferings, their difficulties, the things that went wrong, the things where they felt hurt mentally, emotionally, physically, because they had the deeper feeling, and consequently with the greater feeling in relationship to these things, the ghost pattern of them remains longer and they remember them and they keep reliving them, reestablishing the fear. If they would hate to keep talking about them and thinking about them and remembering them, pretty soon their ghostly forms would begin to evaporate and they would be gone. The human being imagines, in the evil imaginations of his heart, that if all of these ghosts of evil things were to disappear, he would be utterly empty. The blind spots would show up, the fog would disappear, and he would get back to the point where he is supposed to know something and he would find out that he knows nothing. Well, he does not want to believe that he knows nothing, so he would rather believe some idea with respect to not knowing than he would admit that he knows nothing, knows just a blank spot, a blind spot.

But once we begin to reach the realm of this blind spot, and the individual is willing to see the truth without regard to all of his ideas and beliefs and concepts and so-called experiences, then that truth can penetrate into consciousness, and immediately it becomes a governing factor in an underlying field where it exerts control. And we do not have to go back into the whole slimy mess of not knowing, of existing, of evil imagination, and figure out this, and try to find out why this person has this quirk, and why that person has the other difficulty, and what is back of his hallucination. You know, people who are supposed to have legal hallucination are sometimes misunderstood by people who only think they are sane—they have hallucinations which they all accept as being real. So if they all believe the same hallucination, they are not crazy. It is only when everybody does not believe the hallucination that anyone's crazy. It is still an hallucination. So, probing around in that slimy mess does not get very far.

Unless someone comes to me and says, “Well, now, you'll have to help that person. That person thinks something absolutely terrible. That person has the wrong idea. He certainly has an hallucination.” Of course he does. He will not say it just like that. But the person who has the vision of the other person’s hallucination does not have the capacity to see his own. And I could, perhaps, see an hallucination here—maybe even with someone in this room. And as long as you believe that you have to struggle and fuss and fume and fight with respect to all of these vain imaginations in the realm of not knowing, you are not going to have very much faith in me when I say to you, “That is no trouble at all. All you have to do is to let it alone. That is no trouble at all.” You expect me to get as bothered about it as you do, and when I do not, why, I just don’t understand. I say, let’s get back to the realm of consciousness. Let’s let the truth be established there and we begin to find that the false—the things that were before that were not removed in the realm of not knowing—the vain imaginations, the hallucinations, they just evaporate and pass away. It is easy.

But it takes some trust, some faith, some response, some acknowledgment of the truth. So, whatever you believe or do not believe in the realm of what you call your mind, there is this one truth. And until you know the truth you cannot be made free, regardless of what anyone says in the realm of not knowing. Only as you come to know the truth can you let the truth make you free. And that is such an easy, natural way—now, some people think I have an hallucination when I say that. Quite a few people have, some rather bluntly, some rather gently because they are such good people, indicated that I am having an hallucination when I say it is easy, and they do not believe it. Since they do not believe it, they do not trust me. So they are left in a state where they can hug to their bosoms the ghostly form that they have developed in the realm of imagination and not knowing. And they want me to solve the problems present in the realm of not knowing. Why, I can't! It is impossible! They are trying to get me to do the impossible. No!

In the realm of knowing—for then it is easy, but there it takes intelligence and intelligence must work on the basis of what we know, not just what we think we know. Real thinking as distinguished from thinking that we think; real knowing as distinguished from ideas, from the realm of not knowing; understanding as distinguished from the evil imaginations of men’s hearts—and women’s too, by the way. The realm of nothingness! But as long as human beings are thoroughly convinced that this is the best they can know, their own feelings with respect to the realm of not knowing, they do not even know that they do not know what they need to know, because they will make no effort to know what they ought to know. And until they wake up, their case is a bit hopeless. So we must let them live in the realm of hallucination until they are tired of it. Children after awhile begin to be tired of playing games in the realm of make-believe. They play a little game and it is all right, but they get tired of it, and they want something real. Why? Because we give them a little taste of something real—not too much, not to try to make them live the whole of life in a minute—and then, maybe, they will have another game of make-believe. All right, let them! They are growing up, but they get tired of playing the game of make-believe. But when human beings work too long from the standpoint of not knowing, they become so accustomed to the realm of make-believe that they never get tired of playing the game; and then, of course, it is hallucination. And if everybody has the same hallucination, they can agree on the same patterns of imagination in their hearts, for then they think they have evidence that they are perfectly safe. They are blinded—and yet, it is so simple and so easy.

All we have to do is begin to know the truth without regard to all of these figments of fancy, and as you know the truth, you begin to let it evolve in consciousness, not trying to get it all at once, but coming as a little child, developing more and more away from the realm of make-believe into the realm of knowing, and first thing you know you are maturing, and you are beginning to be a man or a woman. And that is such a good feeling, not just maturing physically, but maturing mentally and emotionally, no longer lost in the mist of the absence of knowing, no longer lost in the misty realms of not knowing, but living in the realm of the truth that makes you free to be what you ought to be. Peace be unto you from the realm of the Prince of Peace, the Lord of Love and Truth and Life, that you may know what it is to Be and share in the creative processes of Becoming, which is called Living.

Peace Be Unto You
