With Long Life Will I Satisfy Him”

“With  Long  Life  Will  I  Satisfy  Him”

Temple of Light service

Anne Blaney — Before we turn it over to the presenters I want to make a couple of comments about something that is obvious when you're sitting in this chair. This particular service, with its subject matter, and the focus that is going to be provided by Robert and Steve, is going to afford an opportunity for a specific generation of substance—finer substance of understanding and connection. We will have the opportunity, because of the substance that is present, to let a very specific radiation go forth. I think we will find this time very useful. So Steve, I will turn it over to you, the first speaker. Go ahead.

Steve Ventola — Hi everyone, and thank you Anne for setting the stage. Robert and I feel that this is a pivotal time to move to another level of our togetherness, of our influence into the world together. With that in mind I’m going to begin a screen share with PowerPoint.

“With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Psalm 91:16

YouTube  Video

Let's consider that for a moment in our own hearts: “With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

As we receive the spirit of these words, we recognize that salvation is a choice each one makes. As we serve Him, our salvation comes. In light of that, a few of us have been considering Conscious, Healthy Aging. The reason why I thought to develop this program is that we're all aging, and there is tremendous substance that’s been generated in our lifetimes. It’s important to acknowledge that, and to recognize that in this latter part of our lives, to make things count, to let our generation count.

With this in mind, let’s look at our reason for Being. The light that we are individually and collectively needs to be received, in alignment, in our hearts; and when the current in our hearts is allowed to be in sync with who we are, the life that we are, it allows for a receiving of that. We know that our mind is the guardian angel of our heart, and as we keep our hearts fixed by the rudder of our mind, through attitudes such as patience, tranquility, realization, assurance, it allows for a sensing of consciousness and a care for our body. Ultimately, there is only one reason to be healthy, and that's to play our part, and our part relates to having our heart and mind in alignment with the reason for our being, for the radiation of light out into the world.

I looked up the word aging, and it comes from an ancient translation meaning vital force. Instead of thinking that we’re going to get old and decrepit, aging actually relates to having a greater experience of vital force with a greater emanation. Some of us have been considering Conscious Healthy Aging with others here in Atlanta, but today we want to look at it from a Temple of Light perspective.

Let's consider the following from Martin Exeter: “Just how much of you, your mind, the capacity of mind and heart is concerned with the body of the Son of God? That is the only thing of concern, to allow the fusion to take place, that the body may be a reality.”

If you think about that, the body of the Son of God, the word Son is related to consciousness. The body of the consciousness of God, where we recognize that God is not vengeful; God is our friend. That's untangling the mass subterranean influences that have been tied up with being fearful of God. We want to actually allow for a consciousness of God to be re-established and a fusion to take place with each of us, to have a greater alert participation in the assumption of responsibility in the spiritual body, in the body of the consciousness of God on earth. Martin continues: “It's interesting, as a person gets older there's an inclination to back away from things. For those who have been associated in the creative process of spirit for longer periods of time, if that association has really been consistent, a great deal of substance has been generated… But there is something of much more to be provided by older people when this backing away syndrome is allowed to pass away.”

We have work to do as we get older. And here are comments from Lillian Exeter: “I don't really know what age I am! Middle-aged! Old-aged! I’m really nothing of that sort. I feel so young! We are always spiritually our same age; that's ourselves. Here we are!”

Here we are. Okay, so we look at it in terms of years of precious substance that all of us have generated over a lifetime and allowing that substance to substantially circulate by reason of one’s part in accord. All of us have substance and allowing for that substance to be integrated in accord, the spirit can circulate from core to periphery. The Temple of Light provides a core focus, integrating all of integrity; all who have a love for what is at the core of integrity in themselves. The oneness of love extends from core to periphery.

What we're doing here in the Temple of Light, is providing that core focus so that those, all in our world, whether they're in service with us here or the folks we meet, that we know personally in our world who are not at the level of conscious awareness that we have but are playing their part. Carol and I love going to this Mexican restaurant and there’s a waiter there that has such a precious nature, that we always ask for him. He's part of that periphery, of those allowing something of pure spirit to go into the world. It is for us to play a conscious part in terms of the core, to provide that connection.

Here are words from Grace Van Duzen: “We represent everyone everywhere.” And didn't she have that spirit! And to allow ourselves to have that same sensing, that we represent everyone everywhere.

And now words from Uranda: “All of this applies to our responsibility as Servers, because it is only as we let the power of God work through us, in actual fact, that we are going to have any real influence in the world, letting that part of the Garden of God, for which you are responsible come into manifestation in the realm of form and appear on earth, so that human beings may know that the Garden is at hand, available, within reach of all who will receive.” Think about that!

Robert Merriman [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2022/03/victoryshekinah-and-spirit-of-single-eye.html] sparked my interest to pick up the Divine Design of Man papers—and if you still have your books, I encourage you in the same way. This is from paper 86, which I found to be excellent in terms of being washed clean with the waters of truth, to allow for a greater instilling of the message we bring into world. It relates to our collective reason for being: “We have one responsibility: to rebuild and repair the altar the Lord that is broken down, until at last there shall be enough human beings drawn from out of the world mass to allow the manifestation of the Temple of God on earth. When that takes place individually there begins to be a recognition of the fire that comes down from God out of heaven and burns eternally upon the altar, the fire of God's Love.”

David passed this picture on to me; it's the altar in the Little Chapel at Sunrise Ranch, that's depicted in the book, Seven Steps to the Temple Of Light. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2014/05/sevensteps-to-temple-of-light-uranda.html] But I have found it symbolic too, in terms of us rebuilding and repairing the altar of the Lord. Notice that there's no golden bowl on the altar, or candles representing our heart and mind. But there's a sensing that we need to allow for the visible form of those objects to appear through ourselves as representing the altar of the Lord in living form; and for us to do that collectively, so there's a vibe or energy that goes out into the world that allows for people to be drawn accordingly. And then the fire falls from heaven.

Now, as we aspire, and continue to allow for that altar to be in place, we feel that fire. We allow that fire to burn up things that don't belong anymore, and allow for a revelation in consciousness, a greater consciousness of God on earth through us. So, from Martin again: “How blessed we are to know these things, and how blessed others may be by reason of our blessing. Let us let it be so now and increasingly in the days to come.” Increasing in the days to come.

“With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

Let's let our purpose leverage our health in the choices we make, and the necessities of what is required to satisfy him in our daily living. The choices we make. The choices we make, in terms of alignment with our reason for being individually and together. Tangible care for a body individually; and playing our vital part in the body of the Son of God on earth, in the body of the consciousness God on earth Here. Here and now. Here we are. I am going to stop my PowerPoint and Robert will continue.

Robert Kauffman — Thank you, Steve. So, I did not expect to be sitting in Steve's chair this morning. It looks like we've had a lot of little snafus going on—electronically anyway—and I'm glad to see you all here.

When I took the course with Steve it started my mind thinking—that's the way I approach things—I started considering just exactly what life is for me, how does it get represented in my mind? As physicists say, life is extraordinarily messy. It's not the politicians’ way of describing it, but the physicist’s sense of it is very distinct. It means that it can go any which way; it is absolutely indeterminate, and it is always a surprise. And I have found it that way. Luckily however, we have a certain capacity of consciousness. It's a filter. It shuts out virtually everything—99.9% of everything—and it only lets in that which might be necessary for us in any given moment. You might say these are freeze-frames in the movie of our lives. And we all have a movie; we all have one, and it inspires memories; or you might say it contains memories, and those memories run the gamut of being sad, jubilant, victorious, any which way. For myself, they follow the stream of life in all of its idiosyncrasies, all of its craziness.

Now, I want to read a poem that I wrote about 25 years ago, because I think it summarizes what I was thinking about life at that point, and then I will go on to describe what goes on from there. It's called Time Slowed Down—and time is a major element within our consciousness of life. It may be purely a human element. The scientists aren’t even sure. But this is the poem.

I once knew a time when summer lasted forever

between hands made numb from snatching up brook trout,

     swimming quietly in their keep,

or clapping fireflies that hovered in the dusk.

My obligations to civilization consisted of little more than meal times,

with their attendant chores, and dirty shorts, and life unencumbered.

Beyond that lay a passage into delicious wonder.

What happens when you pull a raccoon by the tail?

Why don't we fall into China if we dig real deep?

And how did girls get made so different?

Well, the other day, while speeding down the highway,

I spied a guinea hen just up the road,

making up its mind which way to go.

Undoubtedly lost in mysterious bird thoughts it could hardly have guessed

the vector force potential of the hurtling steel and singing tires

     that bore violently upon it.

Spinning in an abrupt vortex of surprise, its frantic

squawks of rage probably led to any number of guinea hen legends.

Now, I know a man who spends most all his time within

the confines of his house in a small circle just off the porch.

His emphysema has relegated years of capacity for

building and installing and fixing things

to a quiet place of memories and telling of stories,

and there's not much to do except sit, think and wonder

why everyone moves so gosh darn fast

always in a rush, always gotta be someplace else

     before they've hardly even arrived.

But I wonder sometimes whether he's not the lucky one

given the blessed time to be at home with himself

as his Maker leaks glory all around him,

and prepares a place of worship

And as I say, I wrote that about 25 years ago; and it's been the joy of my life to spend those 25 years discovering exactly what those final words mean. Yes, the Maker leaked glory all around my friend. He leaks glory all around me. And there is a place of worship; there always has been. But that place becomes more and more defined as the years go on, and it's become quite clear. So I'm wondering, as I'm considering the course [Conscious Healthy Aging] that Steve and I have put forth, how that happens? Well, as Uranda used to say, “You can't lift yourself up by the bootstraps.” I mean, there's no secret path here, except that there is. It's by total surrender of oneself to God, and to let life surround you, and move with you and you might say: love you.

And here's an interesting thing that Anne sent Steve and me the other day, because she knew we were considering this topic. Evidently she had read that there's now clinical proof that there's no need to believe that as we get older we're losing our faculties, that we're stuck with sentimental reminiscing over those snapshots of our lives that happened to hang on in memory. There's much more available to us, and in fact this research at George Washington University School of Medicine has found that an older person actually has their consciousness released in a very particular way. There's a membrane that separates the bicameral mind into two spheres—that's the very casual description. But this membrane becomes porous as we get older. So, although the research shows that yes, we do think more slowly; we also begin to think not just with one sphere or the other. You know, we're not just left brain or right brain. No, we're whole brain. We start to think with one consciousness. Perhaps this explains an awful lot of how we begin to be able to discern much more clearly the things that life would bring us. Our mental capacity, the conscious part of it, is somewhat constrained by this insistence on filtering out much of what Life brings us. Well the heart doesn't do that. The heart picks up everything, and we begin to see life in a much clearer way. Of course, when I read what Anne had sent, all I could think of was the Bible's dynamic phrase: “Behold, I make all things new”! That never stops just because we enter our 70’s or 80’s, or even 90’s. My aunt just died a few months ago. She was 101, and even though she was quite sick with cancer, she received guests up until the last few days—people surrounding her, coming to be with her. She was still sharp as a tack. There's no reason that this is not available to any one of us.

I want to talk about another thought that has caught hold of my mind during the past month or so: the First and Second Great Commandments. It seems that the Master was put on the spot; or at least the Pharisees were attempting to put Him on the spot. I can imagine a few bullies just surrounding Him, poking and probing, saying something like “Okay, tell us which is the greatest commandment?” What He said was, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. The second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” Matthew 22:37-40

So I'm thinking about this. It's actually revolutionary; it's a revelation. It also indicates a sequence; Uranda has spoken to this point many many times. You don't reach God by pulling yourself up by your bootstraps. and bargaining with God, you know, “You just do this and then sure, I'll be glad to do whatever you wish.” No. Our God is not a God of our making. But my God is available for friendship, to be in perfect friendship with me. And I don't think I ever realized that before – certainly not back when I wrote that poem. This is what Uranda has to say about it in a presentation called Communion and Friendship, from 1953. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2022/05/trust-which-can-be-trusted.html] He said: “The process of knowing is experienced only with the development of a sense of oneness-with, which we call Love. We cannot know any person until we have had an opportunity to experience the relatedness of the normal pattern of life with that person. We may know about many people, but there are exceedingly few who ever come to know even one person during a lifetime. When any person has come to truly know another, and to accept the relationship that is so established, there is one word which applies: friendship.” And actually, Uranda goes on to primarily describe friendship with God. He's talking about a God that loves you truly and deeply, and completely, for whoever you are.

I’d like to go back to this movie analogy that I was using. In examining it over the last month, I've come to realize there were certain essences that touched my life with consistency. You might say that I am the sum total of these snapshots, and as I dug deeper into any one of these, I began to see that there was a current, there was a consistency, and there was absolutely a calling involved in this process. And I began to understand that I was being drawn. How? Or why? Clearly, I was being drawn by God. I began to understand that this was no error, no mistake. As you know, God does not make mistakes. This was a true act of friendship, drawing me forth through so many different things, some of them difficult, some of them joyous. But all of them were powerful, in a certain sense, coming through as an invitation which was steady and true.

John Gray gave us a great image of that last week. It was a poem written by Rumi, who was a Persian poet from the 1200’s, and I'm going to read it again in case you missed his reading of it.

“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing,

there is a field. I'll meet you there.

When the soul lies down in that grass,

the world is too full to talk about.

Ideas, language, even the phrase ‘each other’

doesn't make any sense.”  (Coleman Barks translation)

This begins to epitomize for me the reason why we would reach, how we would reach, the goal represented by the First Great Commandment: in friendship, to be with God; to be at rest, and to rest within a state of attunement. But as they used to say on TV—‘But wait, there's more!’ “The second is like unto it”—which to me says it's every bit as important as the first. Then, “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself”. Now you can see why the first had to come first, because I think it can safely be said for any one of us – but certainly for myself – that there was no way I could say that I loved myself, through and through, until I loved myself through the vision of God. So what follows is the commandment: “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” But I'm also beginning to find it's not a difficult thing to do. To the extent that the first is true, the second is no problem.

As we know the First Great Commandment, we begin to understand that true friendship exists out there. As I said in my poem, it’s “a passage into delicious wonder”; it’s beginning to explore and enjoy people in a way that I'd never understood before. And again—‘But wait, there's more!’ Here I’ve got to ask the question: Who is my neighbor? Terry is my neighbor. She's extremely close, and I love her dearly. And then our family has another member, a black cat. She's my neighbor. She's very meek and mild, but also ferocious, she’s a lioness when the striped cat comes onto her territory. But she has shown us a full expression of personality and character that I had never quite seen before in an animal.

This would come as no shock to Christine Pivarnik. I was really moved by the talk she gave some weeks ago concerning her relationship with her horses—it's not just the cats; these are also our neighbors. But it goes further than that. When I walk up into the garden, there are little critters in the soil, there are the bees flying around, there are the birds who keep coming back. I don't know the names of all these creatures, but I had learned the name of one of them. It's called the Eastern Phoebe. Terry and I named it Phoebe because it would come, and land on the trellis right next to us, basically at our shoulders; and it would watch us intently as we disturbed the soil. We would uproot something that we couldn't see, but Phoebe sure did! And as soon as we stepped away it would fly down and start eating, and then fly back up. And it would stay and do that with us. This is neighborly interaction. And it goes further than that.

Last month Shirley spoke of Mother God [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2022/05/divine-woman.html] and to my mind we're talking about the element of Mother God; and this second commandment is absolutely a commandment to not only be a friend to Father God, or the God in heaven, but to be friend to Mother God, the God who is in the life of everything within this wonderful planet on which we live. As I say though, if the first Great Commandment has become fact within our living, the second one is no problem. It is automatic. I can see the day when we will work together in absolute oneness with the earth, with one another, with one goal, with one objective, that the world might be whole again.

I'm going to end with just one more image. I had discussed with Steve whether to show a picture that I had drawn about the power of the combined capacity of human beings all working together; and the picture had to do with laser light, as we used to say, ‘shining our light’. It was a popular phrase back in the 80’s. We used to talk about shining our light in perfect coherence. But I'm not going to show that drawing; I think it's wrong now. Light diffuses—the power of light is that it's everywhere at once. It diffuses. Now, to get back to that movie image, I can say that I see certain things there—the essences that I presumably am responsible for, because I’m the one who sees them.  Each one of you sees different essences. There may be overlap, but you definitely see many other essences that I don’t. But put together —even 144,000 of us and not to mention 8 billion human beings on Earth right now—we will cover the full breadth and reach of reality, of life, and what life brings to us in every moment. And I prefer that image, that working together we become aware of everything we need to be aware of. But no one of us can do this alone.

I would like to complete my presentation with a moment of devotion that comes from a service that Uranda gave: Seeing The Father. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2015/09/in-from-shekinah-magic-seeing-father.html] I use it every morning. It's been a guideline: “Our gracious Lord and holy King, it is with humble joy, deep relief, and soul searching satisfaction, that we yield the kingdom of our bodies, our minds, and hearts to Thee; that Thy spirit may enter into the temple of the human form; that Thy presence may be made evident through every thought, word and deed, until it shall be that Thy will is done on earth in us, even as Thy will is done in heaven. For Thine is the kingdom, above and below; Thine is the power above, within, and around us; and Thine is the glory in heaven and earth forevermore. And we would so live that it shall be evident in our lives that it is so. In the Christ, Aumen”

And now, as Anne had suggested at the beginning, this is the time for us to release this strong vibrational impact from our hearts, and I would ask that anyone who would like to share, to please do so. And after that, Steve will have some more words to say.

Terry Kauffman — Robert and Steve, I would love to say how thrilled I am with what we were able to share together. You two are such a force, a perfect combination of male positivity and agreement. I know that the two of you have spent quite a bit of time recently considering these things, and it absolutely came through loud and clear. The thing that I would mention, and say how much I appreciate, is just the matter of my generation, my own personal generation—and each one of us can say that, we each have a generation. And to let that generation at this time count. The world is crying out for that, and who better than those of us who share a clear consciousness of who we are, and know that we are a friend indeed of the LORD. So thank you so much.

Steve Ventola — I think that the fire we feel is burning up the old to allow for the new. And to our awareness, this is the time to really acknowledge it. We see, each of us on this screen, that we're no longer something separate from God.  We're playing our part within the core of the essences of God, so that “We represent everyone everywhere.” And to have that awareness, that sense of privilege and responsibility; it's not really a hard responsibility as we actually place our capacities on the altar, so the fire can burn and our golden bowl be purified, the golden bowl of our heart, to allow for our consciousness to have its awakening day by day, moment by moment. These are precious things we share, and we are, each of us, precious too. I appreciate everyone's words in this respect. Let's really take these things to heart, to complete our mission, our purpose here on earth

We will close with a devotion: O Lord, as we still our hearts and minds, letting go of trying and striving, coming into place and recognizing those things that do need to burn; and they can only burn as we place our orientation to Thee, allowing our souls to be thine altar in expression on earth. And as we do, then the yoke is easy, the burden is light, for our orientation is sound and sure. There is a newness in letting go of what we thought we needed to hold on to, for it is only now, Thy Presence acknowledged, and Thy joy received. And as we know this joy, it lightens our hearts, and so it extends out into the world. All for Thy glory, all for Thy love. In the ever-increasing Light of Thy Name, we bless all. In the Christ. Aumen

Anne Blaney — Thanks Steve, thanks Robert, and everyone. It's good to gather in this field together. Our next gathering will take place on June 26th, and we're going to be hearing from Tony Palombo, from Lake Charles, Louisiana. Thank you all. Have a wonderful month, a wonderful day, a wonderful moment, every moment. So bye for now.

Spirit And Body Of The Archangel

Spirit  And  Body  Of  The  Archangel

Martin Cecil

September 18 and October 23, 1977 combined and condensed

In the initial stages, when earthly consciousness begins to open in response to the working of the spirit of God, the viewpoint is from earthly consciousness. Sooner or later the viewpoint of the earthly consciousness must be left behind in order that one might be in position to see from the standpoint of heavenly consciousness. When there begins to be a view from the heavenly standpoint then there is an alignment with the angel of one’s true identity. We move to a point where we can examine things from the standpoint of the true angelic identity. We let the light shine upon that which we would examine. The only way that this can be done consistently is to have one’s own light shining brightly all the time, and that is possible only to the extent of one’s heavenly living. The life which is heavenly is the light of men.

I trust that there is a newness emerging in your consciousness which gives evidence that the angel who you are is at hand on earth. The angels of God have been present in the world generation after generation all down through the ages but hidden, concealed, behind the darkened veil that has been maintained in human consciousness. Perhaps that veil is thinning in these days so that you may begin to see as an angel more clearly through your human consciousness. As an angel this is the only facility you have for observation in the world. This human consciousness in people everywhere has kept the angel on earth imprisoned for the season of the human life span. Now surely there is a breakthrough at hand so that the angels of the Lord might be consciously present in human form on earth.

As the angel and the expression of the angel emerge in your consciousness you see those things which need to be rebuked. When you are identified with the angel you do not see the angel—you are the angel. Being one with the angel you see those things which are not angelic in your human consciousness. You do not have to go searching for them. They will present themselves to you as you move through the circumstances of a day. It is not necessary that one should see and rebuke all of them at once. One at a time. As the rebuke is effective whatever is rebuked moves back, leaving space in which you discern what has been uncovered by the moving back of the thing that was rebuked. It is like peeling an onion—you find another skin underneath. When you have rebuked the top skin, which was beginning to look ready for rebuke, then what is underneath looks pretty good. While you may rejoice in something new in your consciousness it will prove in season that there is the necessity of further rebuke. Here is a refining, purifying process, by which your consciousness may be clarified so that it becomes a fitting container for the consciousness of the angel who you are.

Looking at these things from the standpoint of the angel, we may see that your physical body is composed of many parts. All these parts are unified into one whole by reason of the presence of the angel. Everything present in what we think of as the universe gives evidence of the presence of a specific aspect of the spirit of God. This applies in the individual sense from the standpoint of what is present in our physical forms. There are a multitude of parts and each part gives evidence of the presence of an aspect of the spirit of God. The nature of the part gives some hint as to the nature of the aspect of the spirit of God, which is the reason for its being. All these parts, right down to and including the cells and beyond, are present by reason of differentiated aspects of the spirit of yourself as the angel. The physical body itself makes possible the consciousness of the body. The consciousness of the body and what is present in that consciousness will naturally interfere if it isn’t in harmony with the spirit of the angel; it will interfere with the angelic expression relative to all the parts of the body. This is one reason why health seems to be such an elusive thing. Your body is rightly, when your consciousness is clear, permeated by all the differentiated aspects of your spirit as the angel. If this is so, then there is one whole here. It would no longer be a human being on the one hand and an angel on the other. It would be the angel in manifest expression on earth by reason of human form and there would be no distinction really between the form and the angel.

There are larger forms present than the individual body. The form of this ministry is composed of many human bodies. In order to make plain the point it might be said that there is an Archangel incarnate in the collective body and all the angels who are present in human form in that body are the differentiations of the spirit of the Archangel, which permeates the whole collective body. Human beings tend to think of the angel as being somehow isolated. There tends to be the idea that the whole exercise is to do what is necessary so that the individual may experience the expression of the angel, and when the expression of the angel is there then the individual can do all the things that are necessary. But when the expression of the angel is there it is found to be an expression included in the body of the Archangel.

As to the identity of the Archangel, we can see something from the standpoint of what has been portrayed in various ways in the Bible, considering Michael and his angels fighting the dragon and his angels. This is something taking place in what was referred to as heaven. Perhaps the picture there is of an Archangel with his banner fluttering in the breeze and armies of angels marching along. We begin to know what the actual experience is that is being portrayed. It is one body, the body of the Archangel. Every part of that body is differentiated by reason of the presence of an angel who in turn is a differentiation of the Archangel. We’ve been considering oneness—here it is, no separation whatsoever. Looking at your physical body you may say there are separate parts—but it is one body. It is capable of doing things because it is one body. The same thing is true of this larger body, the body of the Archangel. We may recognize that there is something beyond that again but we are concerned immediately with the manifestation of the body of this ministry, which is the body of the Archangel.

You may recall also the passage in the Book of Jude where there was the dispute over the body of Moses, between the devil and the Archangel Michael. Here is portrayed the reason for the incarnation of Michael in this collective and unified body. He engages in this dispute, and the means that he uses to achieve what is needful is said to be rebuke. He didn’t enter into railing accusation against the devil but simply said, “The Lord rebuke thee.” The Archangel is concerned about rebuking all that rises up to be rebuked in the consciousness of His body, but the consciousness of His body is composed of the human consciousness of each member of His body. So the rebuke is being offered to whatever rises up in His body, by the Archangel, through the angel—the angel is His agent in the matter. To the extent that you have a true consciousness of being the angel, then you are aware that you are incarnate in this part of the larger body for the immediate purpose of obeying the command of the Archangel—and that command is: Rebuke what does not belong in consciousness.

We may remember the Master’s word, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” Here is the evidence of love as, individually speaking, we undertake this matter of rebuke, the rebuke which causes those things which should not be present in the human consciousness of the body of the incarnate Archangel to be pushed back. As these things are pushed back what was underneath is uncovered. Every secret thing shall be revealed. Most people are inclined to think that this might reveal some particular nastinesses—but not necessarily. Gradually, as there is rebuke offered, the things that don’t belong are pushed back and the things that do belong begin to emerge. We begin to discern them. This relates to the movement from chaos to order. When we rebuke something that doesn’t belong, and we do it definitely—we don’t hedge—that moves the experience into one of order at a higher level in the creative spiral which is purifying the human consciousness.

We tend to have taken the attitude in the past that what is happening is cleansing us. Not at all! If you are the angel you don’t need any cleansing, but your human consciousness certainly does. So there is concern that this should transpire and you are in an effective position to do something about it, intelligently, when you see the things rising up that need to be rebuked. If you see them there they are separate from yourself; you are no longer identified with them. You see them as a part of your human consciousness and out they go! In this process of moving in the creative spiral human beings are inclined to dawdle along the way. For the most part they may, with great effort, take a step, but then they collapse on the step and just stay there. How about us? How many have sat down on that step! Or hung out a sign, “Do Not Disturb.” There is the necessity of getting off one’s backside—steps, after a while of sitting, do become rather uncomfortable.

But there are steps that need to be taken in order to allow the participation in the creative process. One has to relinquish one step in order to step onto the next. There are those things which are to be rebuked and left behind. There always something to rebuke in the creative spiral as we move up. In fact it is the rebuke that releases us into the upward movement. To offer that rebuke we have to be honest, and it is necessary that we increasingly accept the quality and character of the angel in our momentary living. To the extent that this is done then the things that are not angelic stick out like sore thumbs. Let’s not try to cover them up so that we can keep our sore thumbs forever. Rebukes are necessary.

This collective body, the body of the Archangel, is the One who comes in the name of the Lord. The Archangel who provides the identity for the collective body is the One who comes in the name of the Lord, offering the opportunity to people everywhere to assume the attitude, “Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.” Everybody is not likely to assume that attitude, but the offer is there, the opportunity is present, when there is One who comes in the name of the Lord.

The One who comes in the name of the LORD is the Archangel incarnate in this collective body.

But the evidence of the presence of the Archangel is made known as the evidence of the presence of the angel is revealed by reason of the individuals who compose the body of the Archangel. This is the angel’s sole concern. He has no other reason for being present in form on earth. If we say that with respect to the angel, is it being said with respect to you? Or do you have some other human reasons for being around? The consciousness of the truth of being is emerging into the consciousness of those who offer themselves into the body of the Archangel. To the extent that this is being done by you and others your consciousness on earth clarifies. As an angel you have an increasingly useful consciousness on earth which you may use for what needs to be done from the angelic standpoint, which is what needs to be done from the standpoint of the Archangel.

It was stated that the spirit of truth should come. “And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.” With respect to that spirit of truth it is also stated that “he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” This statement doesn’t only relate to the time when it was first expressed—it has been true right along. The spirit of truth is with human beings. Because of earthly identity, human beings see the spirit of truth as being separate from themselves. They don’t know what the spirit of truth really is but it is over there, so that the view would be taken that he has to come; and when he is come he has to do something. As long as identity remains earthly that is the way it looks. The spirit of truth is with us. The spirit of truth is with human beings but the experience of the fact that the spirit of truth is in human beings only comes when the identity shifts from the earthly level of identity to the heavenly level of identity. Then it is known that the spirit of truth is present. We don’t have to look for it anymore. It needs to be known as the spirit of this collective body.

The spirit of truth relates to the spirit of the Archangel, specifically the Archangel Michael who incarnates in this collective body. Incarnating in this collective body, He comes into position somewhere along the way to reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. He does this by reason of His body—that is His only connection with the world—by reason of your bodies and by reason of the consciousness of your bodies. The authority for the rebuke is in the hands of the angel who you are—you accept that responsibility. You are not particularly interested in rebuking anybody else. You may have the opportunity on occasion to rebuke those things that are present in others because you have a means of doing so in yourself. You will find that when you push something back in yourself it will be pushed back in a lot of other people too. We are not separate. The angels are certainly not isolated from each other. They are all aspects of the Archangel, responsible for differentiating specific parts of the Archangelic spirit. And the whole body is healthy on this basis—it is all in agreement. It is the body of the Archangel. It belongs to Him. Our flesh belongs to the Archangel. Our consciousness belongs to Him too—and He reaches our consciousness through the angel which we are, to rebuke what needs to be rebuked.

As we assume the responsibility individually, the rebuke is carried through the whole body so that the Archangel can come forth. There is a facility available which will accommodate the coming forth of the expression of His spirit. This is the means by which salvation is offered to the world, because the consciousness of the world body will be rebuked, and those who hang on to the things that are being rebuked will be pushed out. We don’t have to judge. We just let the creative process work and see what happens, rejoicing in what happens, because what happens will be what should happen. However separate the individual bodies may look, the spirit is One. There is a joy and a delight to experience the natural release and expression of the spirit of the Archangel in our own living. How could we be closer to the One who gives identity to this body than that? And how indeed could we be closer to each other? The oneness is known in spirit, in the expression of the spirit of the living God, according to our angelic responsibilities, which are initially a rebuke. “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.” Let the human consciousness be cleared so that the Archangel has a free hand. It is not a mysterious thing.

As consciousness clears there begins to be a new awareness of the design of things. The angel has a keen awareness of the reason for incarnation on earth: to provide through the facility of body and mind what is necessary to permit the manifestation of a collective body through which the greater works may be done. We have lesser works to do as individuals, but the greater works are done by the body as a whole. Each angel in the body is a differentiation of the spirit of the Archangel. The various parts of the body need to be functioning adequately in coordination. We need to see this in relationship to ourselves as parts of the body which we compose. Every part has its place, but each person certainly does not see the whole of what it is that is happening. There is no necessity. We have to be adequately conscious of the creative field for which we are individually responsible. The things that are done in these creative fields are required for the well-being of the body as a whole. Regardless of the creative action that is necessary, we each need to be in place and moving easily and naturally with the current of the spirit of the whole body. We are willing to leave the spirit contained in the overall spirit of the Archangel. This is the way the body is coordinated. We are blended into the body by reason of the spirit of the body. We should not judge the cells in the body as though they should all be the same.

Our responsibility in living expression is as a differentiation of the Archangel, who gives identity to the larger body; and that differentiation which appears in the angelic expression will be suitable, fitting, to whatever part the particular angel should play in the overall state of this larger body which does the greater works. What needs to be done is done by the Archangelic body. The individuals who compose that body simply sustain the body, allow it to be healthy, provide it with the essential cells that compose it, the essential fluids that move in it, and from time to time, according to the particular part, participate in direct action of some kind. We all participate in direct action, as we function as angels, by the rebuke that we offer to those things that arise in our own consciousness that should not be there. That direct action into the consciousness of mankind, with respect to which this larger body of the Archangel is here to make possible, is the ministry of the Archangel. As parts of this body, in the dawning consciousness of the angel, we become aware, not only of the greatness of the task, but the greatness of the One who is present by which this task may be achieved, the incarnate Archangel.

The only way by which the true body appears on earth is based in the focus of spirit. Unity comes on the basis of the true spirit and we discover what the unity is in our own experience. It emerges by reason of the sounding of the Tone. We share this as differentiations of the spirit of the Archangel—designed to make possible the manifestation of a healthy body with a healthy mind and a full and free spiritual expression. The greater works are done by this. Let it all come together and every seemingly insignificant aspect in that body is found to be absolutely essential. We do not necessarily need to know how or why it is essential but we have the sense of it being essential when we are functioning from the standpoint of the angelic state of consciousness. It is through this body, as it becomes an increasingly effective instrument, that the power of God appears in the achievement of His purposes of restoration. It is the business of the Archangel. Leave it in His hands and it will be done. But in leaving it in His hands we play our part, and we are content to play it. When this is so, there is a functioning body, a body of well-being. You have experience of what I am talking about. How could there be a greater privilege than to have been sent as angels to let all these things come to pass? We may move easily, letting the will of the Archangel be done in earth as it is in heaven.

The Accommodation Of Shekinah

from

The  Accommodation  Of  Shekinah

Martin Cecil  May 30, 1982  am

We have a telephone connection between us, and although there are physical miles between the two places, to the extent that we share the same spirit we are together as essential parts of one body. Wherever this spirit is shared, anywhere on the face of the earth, there are also parts of this one body. We cannot define the extent of that body but we are consciously aware of its existence, because certainly there are many who allow this one spirit to inform their daily living. Clearly, the parts of a body do not require close proximity to each other. There is a good deal of space in our own physical bodies. There is distance between the head and the feet; there is distance between the head and the heart, and the two hands are separate apparently, but there is a means of joining. It all comes together as a useful instrument, to the extent that there is a consistency of right spirit present and in expression. Then, as individuals, we may become useful people, because we compose a larger body, a larger body which only exists because of the shared expression of one spirit. And it is this that is vital on earth at this present time. We are aware that this body has certain dimensions, but there are dimensions perhaps of which we are not presently consciously aware. It may be larger than we think.

Having whatever conscious awareness we now do, we carry a particular responsibility for the body as a whole. We would not, in our own attitudes, exclude any part of it. We are here to provide a means of encompassment. That encompassment only becomes possible to the extent that the encompassing spirit is present—we would say, the spirit of the living God. To be present there must be an adequate facility to accommodate that spirit. In days of yore a symbol was available in this regard, when the children of Israel built the tabernacle. Here in symbolic form was something that could be recognized by those concerned, at their level of consciousness, as accommodation for the Lord—there really was no other reason for its existence—a means by which Shekinah, revealing the presence of the Lord, could be on earth. The central focus of this, in that particular symbol, was the ark of the covenant. The ark of the covenant evidently has something to do with agreement—a covenant is an agreement—presumably agreement between God and man, a focus point representing that agreement. What is that focus point in ourselves as individuals? It comes to point in that little one-letter word, I.

I am. When those words are spoken truly, then there is the focus point; there is no separation between God and man. There is the agreement, an unspoken agreement, then. Nothing needs to be said about it. There is no need to say, “I agree with the Lord.” Who is the Lord, after all? I am. There is just the focus point, the ark of the covenant, which offers the possibility of agreement to others.

But you will recall that that original ark symbol was kept in the most holy place, the Holy of Holies. There was a setting for it, and there was no means of coming into the Holy of Holies except through the holy place—and incidentally, only the High Priest came into the Holy of Holies. Beyond the holy place was the outer court, with the priesthood camped round about the tabernacle, and, beyond that again, the encampment of the Israelites, the twelve tribes. The thirteenth tribe was the priesthood. So here was a setting, a facility to accommodate Shekinah. All of it was needful. It wasn’t just a matter of building an ark and putting it out in the wilderness somewhere and saying, “All right, Lord, here you are, here is your means of accommodation. Come along!” There was more needed than that. There had to be the whole setup. There had to be the whole body in existence, with the particular requirements in that body fulfilled, so that there was a safe place for the Shekinah to emerge into active expression on earth.

We look at all this now in a recognition of the symbol: the children of Israel are not here, the priesthood is not here in fact, the tabernacle isn’t here, the ark isn’t here, as it was in the far-distant past. But the portrayal is accurate and we have a responsibility in the way by which what is needful now for the accommodation of Shekinah, or the Christ, the Word, may be present. I trust that now it need not be merely in symbol but the truth made manifest, the living truth—no longer a material structure made out of wood and silk and gold and all the rest, but something which is composed of the living flesh of human beings who, rightly, are created in the image and likeness of God, so that God may be accommodated on earth and His creative action brought to point to find particular expression.

So we are here. We have a consciousness of these things. We have been introduced to the idea before—the idea is all right, but it is a concept. The idea isn’t the reality. It may be a firmly held belief, but still that is inadequate. The genuine needs to be on hand. We have all become aware of our responsibility in this because we are aware of the truth of it, so that there might be a moving beyond a mere awareness to the experience of the truth itself. Then once again there may be on earth what is rightly describable as genuine. There have been plenty of imitations; there are imitations all over the place. Many people believe most firmly in these imitations as being desirable and necessary. I suppose in a sense they have been necessary, in view of the fact that the genuine article was not yet on hand. So people needed to be reminded of the fact that there might be something genuine somewhere. Unfortunately, the imitation has all too often been looked upon as though it were the genuine article.

There is a world of form all around us. Do you think the world of form that is all around us is, in its present form, capable of revealing the genuine article? There are those who feel that if it was adjusted a little here, improved a little there, then it would finally reach a point where it could be the means for accommodating the genuine article. As an individual—let’s look at it this way—is your state so stable and consistent, is your internal experience so sweet and healthy, that it would be a fitting place to receive Shekinah, or the Christ? We have spoken of the Word, and seen the necessity for the expression of the Word, but how could the Word be expressed except out of a state which was indeed heavenly? If you are really honest with yourself as an individual, are you in position to say, “Here is a pure and sanctified residence, including the Holy of Holies, with the ark in place and the holy place, the outer court, sanctified”—the whole of your being on earth a fit residence for the Lord? Do you think He would be comfortable there? Do you think everything would be as He would naturally anticipate that it would be for His blessing, so that He might occupy the facility.

A lot of people these days are still hopefully looking for the second coming of Christ. Where would He come to? Where is the place that He could come to? There are those who think of Him as being a rather arbitrary and harsh person, who would just impose Himself into the situation and clean it up. Well, I wonder how many of us would be left if that should happen? He has been willing to do this all along; He has provided everything that is necessary for the cleanup. It’s all here; it has always been here; but you and others have been made acquainted with this fact in a more vivid way than virtually anyone else on the face of the earth. For the last fifty years what could only be described as a massive spiritual provision has been made—day in and day out, week in and week out, year in and year out. It’s all here! There are a lot of people who try to have faith that God really has provided everything, but they look around and they are not sure where it is. You know where it is! Isn’t that fact the most marvelous thing imaginable? And yet how it has just been taken for granted.

The real point is—insofar as we are concerned it has been obvious for years—that everything required is available. Perhaps it is not so obvious for a lot of other people, but for you it is. How much resistance there has been to acknowledge the obvious. Sometimes someone says, “There seems to be something missing.” But if a person sees something missing, what it is that is missing? That person. If you say there is something missing, it is you who are missing.

There is only One Way: “I am. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life,” just that, nothing else. You cannot get around it. You cannot find the way by expecting that it is going to come from somebody else. “Somebody is going to provide the way for me.” I have been cast in that role considerably. I am supposed to provide the Way. Well, I have my Way, I provide it in that sense for me; but if there is any way for you, it is your Way—not as a separate thing thought up by the brilliant human intellect or the emotional human heart. It isn’t that at all. There is One Way, and it springs from One Source, and the experience of that One Way is impossible without repenting of all the other ways which human beings everywhere try.

How do we come to that One Way? Well, there have been various instructions given. One of them was: Give thanks in all things. I suppose there is one word which indicates how we come to the way: Repent. Right. “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” That is a good way of describing what is necessary. It does not come from any external source whatsoever. You either give it expression or you do not know it, and a person will never give it expression as long as he is looking lo here! and lo there!—because it isn’t lo here! and lo there! “The kingdom of God is within you.” All right, let it come out. That is the only way, and a person will never let it come out until he repents of all the evil imagination that the answer is going to come from over there or from over someplace else. It does not come from anywhere or anyone else. It is going to come out of you, so that you know it, or you never know it.

There has been so much time unnecessarily wasted. The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Everything is present. We do not require any special help. We do not try to demand anything from anyone. The world is full of whining people, victims, martyrs. Let us not be included among that number; it’s a filthy, rotten state. There is only one way: Repent. Repent from all these evil imaginations, so that forgiveness may be received. We have spoken about passing techniques of various sorts, political for instance—there is one very prevalent technique that claims the attention of vast numbers of people! There are all these ancient and supposedly modern techniques, but nobody thought up anything new in the way of a technique. They have all been tried. There are hundreds of thousands of techniques. Some of them may be useful, keep life in the carcass for a little longer so that we may choose the One Way if we will. We might as well die right now if we don’t do that. There is One Way.

It is the time of repentance—a total transformation. Do you think there are any forms in the experience of the human world now that rightly should carry over into the true state? If so, which ones? No, none of them. Something comes out of this state, yes. It is not a matter of throwing out everything. How could we exist on earth if we did that? We would have to throw out our own physical bodies. No, it is to allow what needs to be brought forth by reason of the fact that there is a facility for the accommodation of Shekinah present on earth—then Shekinah can be accommodated. And the timing of what rightly should happen has nothing to do with the facility which is providing the means for the happening. That’s us, in the external sense. We have no say in the matter whatsoever.

We are here to provide that expansive space for Shekinah, for the spirit of the Living God. In all things give thanks. Welcome what comes. Whatever it is, I welcome it, because in me is the accommodation for Shekinah and this is the way to handle what arises—handled freshly, newly, in the moment by the action of the spirit of the Living God. And who can tell before the moment is there what that will be? If you think you know ahead of time you may be sure you don’t. There may be a recognition of the trends in movement, but only the moment will tell what it is that should be brought forth, what it is that will handle this particular situation. This is true now in this moment. It must be fresh and new and perfect in the moment, perfect because it comes from the perfect source and is not colored or distorted or twisted for human purposes, for personal reasons, because I like it or I want it this way. Let us let it be Shekinah, the Word spoken, which determines in the moment what rightly happens, and behold, forms change.

Being polarized in form, human beings are always trying to drag the old forms forward. Let them go! They have served their purpose. If they actually were a thing of beauty, well, they have been enjoyed. Let’s see what beauty Shekinah will bring forth now. Is it to be supposed that all that is beautiful has already been brought forth, so that we have to preserve it, there is nothing more? Let Shekinah be the producer and we will see what is brought forth and share the responsibility because we are clean, pure, sanctified, in ourselves, so is there room there for Shekinah, room for the creative expression of the Living God. And on that basis, I have the responsibility for it. I do it, because the Lord is right here and the action springs from that One Source and is therefore the One Way.

We have shared this time together this morning in the expression of what rightly is brought forth now, for whatever the purpose of Shekinah may be now. We let it happen; we trust God. This is the covenant, the agreement, which we don’t have to make. We don’t have to sign, seal and deliver it. It is already a reality when we accept that focus of the ark which is present in each of us. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. I am responsible.

If there is a recognition of seeming need for something more than we now experience, let us acknowledge the fact that that need is only there because we have not accepted the provision which is available to us. Therefore it might be wise to start looking at the provision that has been made, without requiring someone else to do the work for us. It is already there. Look for it. Have sufficient get-up-and-go to do that. It is already there. Everything needful is already there, and I think you find it present in virtually every piece of literature that you might put your hands on. It is always there! Don’t take it just as literature. Take it as the expression of your own spirit. Here it is. This is me. This is what I am. Allow that to shine forth unhindered in the expression of Shekinah on earth.
