Emissaries
Emissaries
Martin Cecil November 10, 1968 p.m.
We were talking about Emissaries of Divine Light this morning, recognizing something of the creative nature of what is described by the words Divine Light, the radiation of True Cause. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/divine-light.html] This radiation is the reality back of the whole cosmic realm of effects, but there is need that it should be brought to focus in expression in the area of the world in which we live. This requires that there be emissaries to bring it. An emissary is a representative of one who is greater. As that representative, he must carry the necessary credentials. These credentials may be described by the use of the words Divine Light.
Unless there are those who are sent as emissaries to bring Creative Cause into expression at the level of human responsibility there is no means by which the affairs of men can be changed so that order might come out of chaos. We see in the words emissaries of divine light a vast significance, not because it may apply to us, but because of its inherent meaning. A question might arise as to whether it does apply to us. The fact of the matter is that all human beings should be emissaries of divine light, and that certainly is not saying the same thing as might be said by some religious organization—all human beings should be Roman Catholics, for instance. No, it is a state of being rightly identified, so that what is expressed in living on earth is of a creative nature, creative from the standpoint of what is true, the reality of Divine Cause. When that is so, the effects appear automatically; they don't have to be struggled with.
This morning, when we were considering this matter, utilizing the nature of light to illustrate some points, there were some who were apparently not following too easily. One of the reasons why there is difficulty in this regard sometimes is this matter of trying too hard. One may have an awareness of something without necessarily knowing all about it. In fact this is true of most things of which we have an awareness, isn't it? We know life, for instance. We have an awareness of the fact of being alive, but I don't think anyone would be inclined to say that he knows all about it. So often the endeavor is to try to intellectually circumscribe whatever it is that is being considered, but if it is something that is of real value and meaning the intellect very quickly gets lost. There can be intellectual circumscription of many things that don't amount to much, but when we move into the realm of real things, meaningful things, the intellect is lost. So it is useless to try to circumscribe such things with the intellect; it can't be done. Nevertheless we can have a very keen awareness. Some people have a fairly keen awareness of being alive. Others are not so thoroughly convinced. While intellectual comprehension of things may add something to the experience of being alive, the experience of being alive is not dependent upon what the intellect knows or doesn't know.
We were noting this morning something with respect to the spectrum of consciousness. This spectrum, when it is properly balanced, permits the radiation of what is symbolized by white light. White light is composed of the colors of its spectrum. There is a spectrum of consciousness. A good deal of the consciousness of the physical body is what is called subconscious. The mind, if we were to divide it into levels, might be six-sevenths below the one-seventh of self-consciousness. Yet there must be a balanced experience in relationship to the whole spectrum.
So the awareness that we have is not based merely in our ability to intellectually circumscribe something. We have spoken of feeling, sensing. We have a consciousness of being alive. We have a consciousness of love, to whatever extent. We can't intellectually circumscribe love. We have a consciousness of the reality of cosmic design and the control that operates in that design. We were taking note recently of what is called gravity. We have an awareness of gravity. We do not have to be educated particularly, in the ordinary sense at least, to have an awareness of gravity. In order to describe the way it works we might have to be educated, so that we understood mathematical symbols, but we get along all right in our daily operations in relationship to gravity whether we have intellectually circumscribed it or not, and it would be impossible to circumscribe it anyway. Nobody knows what gravity is, no matter how learned.
There is much of which we are aware without intellectually circumscribing it. If we realize this, then we don't keep blocking ourselves by trying to intellectually circumscribe everything, and perhaps there were some who were trying to do that this morning. All one is doing in such case is trying to fit it into the thimble of one's present intellectual capacity. It doesn't fit, and then the individual is all upset because it doesn't fit. Well why try to fit it in in the first place? It's not going to fit anyway, even if your intellect is the size of a mug. There should be the experience of the consciousness of being Divine in this realm of things. This is the result of the working of the Law, when the Law is allowed to work.
There is rather a beautiful poetic portrayal of some of these principles in the Book of Revelation. You may remember that there was a “woman clothed with the sun”, and the “moon under her feet”, and a “crown of twelve stars” on her head. We were speaking this morning of the working of the Law. The radiation of True Cause engenders response, so that a physical form is built; your body, for instance. This body which is so put together, drawn together, has a very definite design, a design which reflects what is present in the nature of the Cause which produced it. Radiation, response, then attraction. The physical body which is taking form is drawn toward the Cause which engenders the form, that there might be union, that the two might be one. It is in the union of the radiation of True Cause, or in other terms the Spirit of God, and the form which has been brought forth by that radiation that the development of the consciousness of the body occurs. If it is allowed to continue without interruption there will be the manifestation of what is portrayed by the picture of the woman clothed with the sun, the white light—the union between the physical form, the woman, and the radiation of Cause, which is described by the sun here, white light. Here we have the fulfilment of the Law.
The moon is under her feet; the realm of effects is below. Identification is with Cause; identification is with Divine Being, not with the realm of effects. The moon is under the feet. And of course she wears the crown of authority. Also she was, according to the portrayal, travailing to bring forth a child, the child which turned out to be a man child, the positive expression of the radiation of True Cause at the level where the woman is, in the realm where the creation is required, the realm where order needs to be brought out of chaos. Of course there was an additional character in this drama, the great red dragon, just waiting to devour the child. And here we have this red end of the spectrum again. This relates to this incomplete consciousness of man, incomplete in the sense that human beings do not have a consciousness of Divine Being. Their extent of self-consciousness is extremely limited. They have merely an awareness of a very peculiar character at the red end of the spectrum. And of course, as long as identification is with this incomplete state there is no possibility of the experience of the true positive expression of Divine consciousness, the consciousness in man of being Divine. Human beings have insisted upon maintaining their state of consciousness, their state of identity, in the limited condition, assuming that all that was necessary was to have a consciousness limited to the red end of the spectrum, so to speak. So the blue end was absent.
If you have a consciousness that is colored red, everything you look at is going to be colored red. And this is what has occurred. Human beings do not see things in their true colors. They can't, as long as there is not a balance in the spectrum of their consciousness. However, it is necessary somewhere along the way for a person to come to realize that he does see things red, that he does see things distorted. As long as he imagines that he sees things as they are he is in the dark and doesn't know it, and as it is truly said, the darkness comprehends not the light. He doesn't realize that light is necessary, that what is necessary is the balancing colors, so that there might be white light. When the light is white there is a clear view of what is present in the realm of effects. Not only is there a clear view in such case but white is the creative radiation of True Cause.
As we noted this morning, if there is a distorted state, if the creative radiation is limited to the red end of the spectrum, the effects will be accordingly, and we have a world revealing those effects. There is nothing that human beings can do to improve on the effects as long as the creative radiation remains what it is: an unbalanced, distorted, discolored state of consciousness. There is very little awareness on the part of human beings of the responsibility which they carry from the standpoint of what is present in their consciousness. It is quite obvious, when one stops to look at it, that the world which man has made has been made on the basis of what has been present in human consciousness. If that world is chaotic, if it is a disorderly place—everyone is much concerned about the lack of what they call law and order—then it is that way because of the disorderly state of human consciousness. The creative effect in the realm for which man is responsible in the Divine scheme of things is produced by whatever radiation occurs through human consciousness. Of course I suppose it could be said that man has some sort of an idea about this because he thinks, for instance, that he can change his consciousness by more education. Well all he can do is to change his consciousness from being that of an uneducated person to that of an educated person. But it doesn't change the consciousness from the human state to the Divine State; and unless there is the experience of the consciousness of being Divine because there is a balance in the spectrum of consciousness, what is radiated by reason of that consciousness will not produce orderly effects. It doesn't matter what anyone does. We can see that, because human beings have been trying desperately to bring order out of chaos, and it appears that, politically speaking, everybody is running out of ideas. Nobody knows what to do. Well that's wonderful, because there isn't anything that can be done, at least to solve the problem. Of course we can compound the confusion.
There must be emergence into the consciousness of being Divine, and this requires the woman clothed with the sun. As long as we are identified with the red end of the spectrum then we're keeping the great red dragon healthy, and of course on that basis there is a creative process. You will recall that, following along in this particular passage from which I have quoted, mostly in my own words, there was a beast which came out of the sea, and, according to the description, it looked very much like the great red dragon. The great red dragon had seven heads and ten horns, and so did the beast. Well, of course, whatever the cause is, so will the effect be—a reproduction. All we have to do is look around in the world with our distorted outlook and see a reflection of what is present in the consciousness of human beings who have lost the awareness of being Divine. And it's not just everybody else. We have all shared in it.
How many of you really have a consciousness of being Divine? Perhaps a beginning recognition that this should be the truth of the matter. But how much have you accepted it as true? “Well it is a nice goal, a nice aspiration. We hope we will get there someday, but the fact of the matter is that I am human.” This is more or less the attitude that human beings take, generally speaking. Probably they have no recognition of the possibility of a consciousness of being Divine. But this is also the attitude that those who are associated with the ministry of Emissaries of Divine Light sometimes take. They just don't believe it.
“A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet”—this dead state underfoot, certainly not controlling. There is no need to maintain identity with it. If we do so, that is our fault. But there can be a yielding to the radiation of True Cause; not trying to understand it, but merely being willing to experience it, so that the woman may be clothed with the sun. When she is clothed with the sun, she has a crown upon her head; she has the credentials. There is a picture of Emissaries of Divine Light, isn't it?—not a human organization of some kind incorporated in the province of British Columbia, but the reality of the thing, whatever it is. It is this to which we give ourselves if we are honest in such awareness as we have of the things of God. We stop maintaining this state which not only produces chaotic effects but causes us to see things in a distorted manner. The distortion of the radiation is reflected back to us, and that is what we see. That is not the real thing at all. We can only begin to see the real thing as we find a balance of consciousness throughout the whole spectrum; then there is white light, the true creative radiance of the Christ, the Spirit of the Son of God. It is by this radiation that the Divine task is fulfilled.
We can see more clearly than ever that it is not by physical might—pushing and pulling in the realm of effects—nor by the power of the intellect in the realm of effects, that the job gets done, but by the Spirit of the Son of God, by the creative radiance which appears in action in the realm where it is needed, when the Law is allowed to work. The radiation of True Cause brings back the physical form, which was created by that radiation, into union with itself. Radiation, response, attraction, union, then unified radiation, which is the radiation which occurs by reason of a consciousness of being Divine. That consciousness of being Divine is the mind that was in Christ Jesus. Obviously He had a consciousness of being Divine. Why should we reject the idea? That consciousness of being Divine permits a true view of the realm of effects for which we carry responsibility.
When as emissaries of divine light we can see the world, it will be a very different place to the world we think we see now. Now you can look at that in two ways: either you see the world as it really is, and that is quite all right, or the radiation which is proceeding from your consciousness of being Divine makes it right, creates all things new. It doesn't really matter, does it, as long as it is quite all right. We don't have to circumscribe it with the intellect, but be willing to accept an increased awareness, consciousness, of being Divine. In order to do this we have to permit our attention to move away from the red end of the spectrum toward the blue end of the spectrum, to establish a balance. Now human beings who have recognized something of this necessity have all too often imagined that all of the red end of the spectrum was bad and all of the blue end of the spectrum was good. Well that's a silly judgment! There is nothing wrong with any of the colors. But a person who begins to see the distortion produced by being at the red end of the spectrum—in other words, being centered, concentrated, in material things—then supposes that he has to eschew material things altogether, cut them off, throw them away, and depart to the opposite direction, the blue end of the spectrum, which is spiritual isolation, I suppose.
But we need a balance in the spectrum. It is true that we see things from the standpoint of the higher, and the control comes from the higher, but this does not mean that what is lower has any less meaning or value. The red end of the spectrum relates to the mineral kingdom. There is nothing wrong with the mineral kingdom that I know of. One can move upward through various kingdoms, and I suppose this could be called moving out of the kingdoms of earth to the Kingdom of Heaven. But we don't leave the earth behind. It is by reason of the fact that Creative Cause is present that, insofar as our physical bodies are concerned, we have a chance. The Law works: radiation, response, attraction, union. The mineral kingdom needs some means of resurrection. We have minerals in our physical bodies. The mineral kingdom is represented in our physical bodies, also the kingdom of vegetation, the animal kingdom, and the human kingdom. We won't lump that in with the animals, as many people do. There is a distinction here. What have we got? Mineral, vegetable, animal—three—and man, four. That, it seems to me, is the balance point of seven, isn't it? We have three below and three above, and the Kingdom of Man is in the middle, at the balance point. As we noted, this is green in the spectrum, the symbol of life.
We are here to bring the world back to God, we say, but really what is that? Bringing God into the world, isn't it? so that there is creative action at the level where it is needed. Then there can be response to that creative radiation. If man is in place, letting that be taken care of, then the animal, vegetable and mineral kingdoms will be taken care of. So where there is true radiation there is response, attraction and union. The world is brought back to God. But it can't be brought back to God unless man is in his place, unless there is the experience of a balance in consciousness on the part of man; because man provides this focus point, representing Divine Light, and also containing within his physical form the levels of creation for which he is responsible. He is an emissary of divine light sent into the world, and as an emissary of divine light, creative radiance is at work, to which there is response, because, apart from man himself, the response at the other levels—animal, vegetable, mineral—is automatic; there is no choice in the matter. So when the creative radiation is there, the world is restored; no problem.
We recognize the responsibility of letting this creative radiation be present, of sharing in the process by which a balance comes in our own consciousness, so that there may be a consciousness of Divine Being, or of being Divine. That is the balanced state, and this we are privileged to share to the extent that it is true that we are Emissaries of Divine Light. I think, in this respect, we need to be careful that we don't take our name in vain.
Divine Light
Martin Cecil November 10, 1968 a.m.
“Emissaries of Divine Light” is the name given to our ministry. Some have objected to this name, imagining that it should be something different. In other words, to some human minds at least, the name wasn't acceptable. If the human mind could think of a name that was acceptable it is unlikely that that name would be true to the truth. As we have moved, together with many others, in the unfolding cycles of experiences related to this ministry I think the accuracy and the perfection of the name begins to become increasingly apparent.
Emissaries of Divine Light. The radiation describable by the word light indicates the True Nature of Creative Cause. Light is a word also used to describe an electromagnetic phenomenon, but it is a word that is used to describe something even less tangible. If we say that a person saw the light, we don't think of the electromagnetic phenomenon but some sort of increased understanding, awareness. In the electromagnetic sense the total radiation is far more than what is called light, and yet the word “light” may be used to describe the whole range of that electromagnetic spectrum. For instance, what radiates from the sun of our solar system is far more than visible light. There is a total radiation which proceeds from the sun, and we may describe this total radiation by using the word “light,” if we recognize that it includes far more than visible light.
This which radiates from the sun is not the light of which we speak when we use the words emissaries of divine light. And yet it is, in the realm of effects, an illustration of what it is we refer to. There have been in times past those people who it is supposed worshipped the sun of our solar system as God. Of course this may just be a concept of present-day human beings, on the basis of their limited hindsight. In other words the people concerned may have recognized simply that the sun provides a rather striking symbol, striking portrayal, of the reality of God, or True Cause; for there is that which shines forth from True Cause and is back of the reason for the whole cosmic scheme of things, which of course includes far more than is visible to the physical eye.
The radiation of this Cause, the radiation from God, is invisible; it cannot be somehow isolated and examined directly. We have noted that what is in the realm of Cause cannot be observed. All that can be observed is in the realm of effects. Of course examining the realm of effects, we have some evidence of the nature of Cause and so we have some awareness of Cause indirectly. Because it is an indirect awareness there have been those who, most illogically, have said that Cause doesn't exist, God doesn't exist—God doesn't exist because we cannot examine Him. If we could examine God it would place us on rather a high pinnacle, wouldn't it? What we can examine is contained in the realm of effects. The Creative Cause of all that appears in the realm of effects may be describable by the word light. If this word is used to describe the creative expression of True Cause, we should recognize that the reference is not merely to a small section of the electromagnetic spectrum.
So when we use the word “light” in the name Emissaries of Divine Light, we are referring to the radiation, the creative radiation, of True Cause. This creative radiation may be described by other words, but by none so beautifully and briefly and accurately, and really acceptably, as the word “light.” The word Christ could be used, the only begotten Son of God, but I think there would be even more human mind objection to this terminology.
We use the adjective Divine to describe the Light, because we make a distinction between visible light and this light. This radiation from True Cause is Divine Light. Our relatedness to this Divine Light is as emissaries of it. The Divine Light, which may be said to be a cosmic phenomenon in the realm of Cause, must be translated, brought to bear, made active and operative, at this particular level on the surface of the planet where we dwell.
What more accurate description of those who let themselves be engaged in this undertaking could be given than that of emissaries of divine light? We need to see these things clearly, because we are charged with the conscious expression of what is meant by those words: to bring Divine Light, the creative radiation of True Cosmic Cause, to bear at the level where further creation needs to take place on the surface of this planet. This further creation which needs to take place we may describe by the word “re-creation” at the moment, because there is something obviously that went wrong. Something needs to be set right before the true continuation of the creative process relating to this planet may transpire. Now you may think you know these things, but I doubt it. You likely have a concept about them, and you have heard words describing them, but how much do you know? How much do you have the actual experience of the reality? To what extent are you an emissary of divine light?
The creative radiation from True Cause we have called the Spirit of God. Where it comes to focus and is given specific expression this creative radiation produces effects. The effects in toto we describe as the Cosmos. We can, however, bring it down to a realm of greater detail relating to this earth, or relating to ourselves on the surface of this earth. We are aware of certain effects. The effect that is likely to be closest to us is our own physical form. Here is the evidence of a Creative Cause. What that Creative Cause is has been rather a mystery to human beings, even though some may have described it by the word God. Others may attribute the cause entirely to factors observable in the realm of effects. By the examination of the realm of effects various things have been discovered. There is an awareness of genes, for instance, and various other chemical substances and combinations which supposedly relate to the formation of the individual physical body. Of course obviously there is such a relationship, but we haven't quite got back as far as Cause. The process by which the chemicals themselves exist begins to lead into the realm of invisible Creative Cause.
Back of that which takes form is Creative Cause. Back of your physical form is the radiation which we designate by the word “light.” This creative radiation is of the nature of the Cause from which it originates. Contained within the Cause from which it originates, namely God, are all the essences of whatever may have appeared in the whole Cosmos, and whatever may appear in the future. There is nothing that can appear in the realm of effects that is not already present in God, or in the reality of True Cause. It obviously doesn't all appear with a great big bang. If it did, that would be it, presumably. There wouldn't be anything else, would there? It is beyond the comprehension of the human mind how there could be something unlimited, without limit as to scope; but because this is so, it takes an unlimited period of time—you can put it that way—for it all to appear. However in essence it is already present. It is present in the point of origination, and it proceeds from that point of origination through this radiation of which I have been speaking.
This radiation has an effect: positive radiation, negative response. The negative response of which you are most keenly aware is the formation of your own physical body. This is the evidence of the working of the Law—negative response to positive radiation. And how does it go? Response, attraction, union, unified radiation. In other words a new expression of radiation occurs at the level where the union has taken place. If it all works as it should the physical form is drawn into union with the light which produced it in the first place, and that union permits further radiation to transpire at the level of the physical form—in other words at the level for which this physical form was created to carry Divine responsibility. We sometimes speak of this as the world, all that is present upon the surface of this planet.
Now what is reproduced in this regard in the way of radiation is directly related to the radiation which produced the form in the first place. This extended radiation we speak of as the human mind. We speak of the mind as the consciousness of the physical body. How does that consciousness appear? Where did it come from? The physical substance of which the body is composed did not have it before it was in the body. This consciousness of the physical form is the effect of the unified radiation consequent upon the prior fulfilment of the Law. In other words, when the physical form is attracted to the positive radiation which produces it and has union with that positive radiation, there is a new radiation at the level of the physical form, and that new radiation is what is called the “mind”, or the “consciousness” of the physical form. This new radiation might be described as a reflection of the original radiation which produced the form. It has no substance or being of its own. It is simply the effect of the working of the Law.
The consciousness of the body includes various levels, just as white light, for instance, includes the colors of the spectrum. If there is to be white light this indicates that there is a balanced blending of all the colors of the spectrum present. If for some reason some of the colors were left out, or only partially there, there would not be white light. If in the pattern of the human form some of these reflected levels of consciousness are missing, or inadequately present, the consciousness will not be that of Divine Being, and this obviously has been the case insofar as human experience is concerned. Your self-consciousness has not been the consciousness of Divine Being, or the consciousness of the white light. It has been the consciousness of something that was off color. Why? Because some of the reflection of the creative radiation from True Cause was not appearing.
The consciousness of Divine Being cannot be restored until the reflection of the whole spectrum of what we call the mind is present. One may have an increased scope of the various colors in that spectrum within the range of one's experience, but until it reaches the point where there is the right balance there cannot be the experience of the white light, or the actual experience of Divine Being. We may become aware of the fact of Divine Being, of what our experience should be, and there are those who have said, “I know who I am.” Well in that sense yes, perhaps, but not really—not really, until the whole spectrum is there, the blending takes place and the white light appears. Then there is a consciousness of Divine Being at the level where the new creation is to appear, where the unified radiation is to extend into what we call the world.
Now the world is the way it is because the radiation which has been extending through the consciousness of the physical bodies of human beings has been an incomplete spectrum. It is still creative radiation but not of the white light. Presumably the higher levels of consciousness have been the ones that have been mostly lacking, so that we could say, using the visible light as a symbol, that the experience of the spectrum of that light has been mostly at the red end. The blue end of the spectrum has been largely missing. It is interesting how the symbol of the color red has been used in relationship to the activities of human beings, particularly where there is the evidence of an intensification of self-activity. You may “see red”, or we have “the reds,” all relating to a concentration at the lower end of this spectrum, so that there is an unbalanced creative radiation and the effects appear accordingly.
The purpose of Emissaries of Divine Light is to reestablish, reintroduce, the creative radiation which includes the whole spectrum in balance; white light, in other words. And when that creative radiation is allowed to find expression, then the effects will appear accordingly, because light in this sense is the means of creative action. “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” That is absolutely and exactly true. Of course if a person is fiddling around in the realm of effects and imagining that all things stem from this realm, he can't see the light; he is in the dark, and the darkness comprehendeth not the light.
The creative process is based in the working of the Law. If there is to be a restoration of the balanced reflection of the creative Divine Light, it will appear as there is response at the levels where the reflection needs to appear. In the unfolding process which naturally occurs in the development of a child, the necessary creative radiation is present, the light shines. But the light is invisible until it is reflected. Gradually there is an increased reflection appearing, as the development takes place in the physical form. The specific focus points for the reflection relate to the endocrine system. We speak of the Seven Seals. As the physical body develops, the specific points in this regard respond naturally to the creative light of which they are the effect, because the Seven Levels of Divine Consciousness are contained in Creative Cause. But as the consciousness begins to appear, then of course the trouble may start, because as yet the reflection is not complete and therefore there is initially an inadequate experience of true self-consciousness. The individual has not reached the point where there could be a balance of the reflected spectrum, and so there is an assumption of identity relating to the inadequate self-consciousness.
This state of imbalance has been present for so long in human beings that they are encouraged to imagine that this is what it should be. Consequently continued response, which would allow the effects to appear, ceases and human beings get stuck at the lower end of the spectrum. They say of themselves, “This is what I am.” Well it is all that they have experienced of what they are perhaps, but it is a very unbalanced thing, a very inadequate thing. However, even the production of this should give clear-cut evidence of the presence of the creative radiation which, if responded to without making any assumptions or jumping to any conclusions, would produce the balanced state of completeness where there could be Divine self-consciousness, a consciousness of Divine Being at this level. The mind was created to allow this to be so, and it is the means by which the creative radiation is extended into the realm where Divine Man has responsibility on the surface of this planet.
“Let your light so shine before men”; allow all this to transpire. And it is not a vague, undifferentiated thing. It is something very specific. It relates to specific levels of consciousness and experience. We need to begin to see this with clarity. Even from the standpoint of man's consideration of God there has been a recognition of some sort of a trinity. In other words God is not just a permeating divine fog of some kind, but there is something specific in the design, inherent in the essence of whatever God is, and this specific Divine character takes form by reason of the union of the physical body of man with the Creative Cause of that physical body. When that union is complete there is unified radiation, and that is the mind which was in Christ Jesus. That is what that unified radiation is: the Divine Mind, the consciousness of Divine Being on earth.
And so “Emissaries of Divine Light” is a very specific and accurate definition of what man is supposed to be and what man is created to be: the means by which Cosmic Cause may be translated into action at the level of responsibility, which includes this earth. And this is what an emissary of divine light is.
O Lord, we are most thankful for the working of the Law, so that as there is an increased yielding of response there may be a more complete spectrum of Divine Light experienced. And in that experience comes a new spiritual consciousness, a new outlook and awareness. This which is newly seen relates to what was already present before but unknown. As the light shines in the balanced expression of consciousness all things are made new, for the Creative Cause is present at the level where the new heaven and the new earth are to appear. We are thankful for such vision as we have now, but we know that our vision and our understanding will be limited to the extent of the reflection of the Divine Spectrum of Life which may be present in us. We can't see beyond that, we can't understand beyond that, but we may yield in response to the radiation that is yet unknown so that the reflection of it may begin to appear and consequently become known. And we rejoice to play our part in letting the reality described by the words “emissaries of divine light” be made apparent on earth, in the Christ. Aum-en.
