Gary Courtland-Miles — Good morning everyone. It's wonderful to see you all and feel the brightness of your spirit. It’s my delight to welcome you all to this Service as we move forward from our gathering last month. I’d like to extend appreciation and thanks to all who offered such a potent 90th Anniversary Service last month. There was indeed “a sacred silence” generated in heaven, and we heard the Voice of our KING. We heard His encouragement to continue the work which He has given us all—to let His Kingdom come on earth exactly where we are, so that the Cosmic Cycles of Divine Purpose might be made manifest on earth. We are blessed to be about this work together. I know most all of you by name from over 50 years of association with Emissaries of Divine Light, and it's a real privilege to have been offered the opportunity to speak with all of you today.

The totality of service, inspiration, attunement, teaching and blessing by and through all of you is remarkable. The world is a better place for all of us. I give deep thanks for this, and I am honored to continue on in this with you. Our task is awesome; some might think daunting; but thankfully, the Way is easy when we let Love flow, when we speak the Truth, and let Life blossom—let it blossom as we interact with all those in our worlds, as we let it uplift them, encourage them, provide evidence of the spirit of our KING. We have all been richly, richly blessed! The spiritual education that we have had, provided through Uranda, Martin, Grace, Bill Bahan, Alan Hammond and many others was wondrous and enlightening. It was delightful. And of course, we've had years of opportunity to learn by doing, to learn by being, to learn by serving, offering attunement, and more. So let us continue. Let’s share a moment of Devotion.

Our Gracious and Loving Heavenly Father, we come before You this morning in your Temple of Light, to offer our deep thanksgiving for all that you provide so freely, here and throughout the Cosmos. We bow in awe to Your Majesty and Glory. We come with open hearts and open minds, and seek only to become ever more attuned with Your Great Love. We offer praise and thanksgiving for all of Your wonderful works, and all of the manifold blessings You give so free freely to all of the children of men. May we serve You with passion, with clarity, and let Your Holy Spirit guide us that Your Kingdom come on earth, and man be restored to the Divine Estate to which You appointed him. In the Christ, Aumen.

In a few minutes, with Robert’s help, I would like to share a movie with you that is an homage to the creative power, majesty and glory of the Most High, as it relates to the Universe in which we all dwell. I didn't make the movie itself, I merely borrowed; but I did write the music for it, and that will be its soundtrack. Much of my ministry has been through ‘sound’ over the years—taking piano lessons as a youngster, and then studying at the Toronto Conservatory of Music, and eventually Colorado College, and with Maestro Manoah Leide Tedesco, who introduced the music of Ravel and Debussy to the world. Through this I came to love how music could express a deeper range of emotion than I felt words ever could! Lately, I have been corresponding with creative musicians worldwide via Soundcloud.com — a platform for musicians and spoken word artists the world over. I have also collaborated with quite a few on various compositions. It has been a lot of fun; but I use the music as a means of encouraging, lifting-up, and always pointing to the light. The piece that will accompany the movie is titled Cosmic Cycles. It was written over several months, some seven years ago, as I sought to describe the sounds of the Creation of the Universe, and what is called the “Cosmic Background Radiation” which still lingers some 13.5 billion years after what has been called the Big Bang. Now that’s a seemingly impossible task, and it was, but I had to try. It was like answering the Koan, “What is the sound of Creation?”

Yes, it took several months to compose the music you are going to hear. Nevertheless, I persevered. And I just ask that you let go and relax deeply into a pattern of radiant listening, expecting nothing—but simply enjoy. Perhaps though, we could use this time of radiant listening, and appreciation of the Majesty and Glory of the Creator, to let a blessing go forth to all the Earth in the current of Attunement Radiation to bless and to gather in the longings of responding ones everywhere, so they have a home on Earth in and through us. We have been well prepared—over 90 years, and infinitely longer. So let them come. Let me begin by reading Psalm 8, a Psalm that has inspired me since I was a youngster.

       “O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens…

       When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained.

       What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

       For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

       Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet…

       O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!”

This is a Psalm of immense beauty—immense beauty! So, in showing this movie of the wonder and glory of the Most High's creation, my intent is to call attention to the fact that the spirit, reality, and current of Love flows through the Whole Cosmos, from the Most High through all of creation. It flows visibly and invisibly; and in fact only about 5% of the Universe is visible to us. However, insofar as this exotic substance we call matter is concerned, it is now known that this current does so via the pneumaplasmic essences of what are called dusty complex plasmas that literally fill the entire Universe. In fact, they ultimately provide the skeletal framework for the billions of galaxies in the Universe. As the Master said, “In my Father's House there are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.” So with that, we will begin the film and the music, Cosmic Cycles—A Journey Through The Stars.

I am absolutely in awe at the creative power of our Creator. The current of Love flows through it all. It is delightful to sense the depth of substance we have generated together, in these last few minutes, and to feel the love response of so many people worldwide, finding repose and encouragement in the Love substance generated through this attunement time.

The Silver Cord runs throughout the entire Universe, from the central Sun of Suns all the way through the Galactic Groups, to our Milky Way, to our Sun, and from there to each of us as individuals, created by the same Creator. It runs through all of that and comes to point in us in the Temple of Light—in His Temple of Light where we serve. We are a Nucleus for the manifestation of the Divine Design on earth. We provide a key aspect of the control pattern for the Whole Holy World. So even as plasma provides the living skeleton through the whole Universe in its outer manifestation, we provide something absolutely essential on earth at this time. The Silver Cord is our intimate connection with the creative power of Love, brought to point through the nucleus of the Priesthood after the Order of Melchizedek. We are those who enfold and lift up the Love response of all responding ones everywhere. Through us, through the guiding action of the Holy Spirit, the Creator’s Will is made manifest on earth. We certainly don’t have to figure anything out. Our attention is best centered in generating and keeping holy the substance of pneumaplasm through which the creative power flows moment by moment. The more we generate in our living, the more of the Creator’s intent becomes known and is made manifest on earth. Simple. In this regard, I’d like to share a few paragraphs with you from Uranda’s service of August 22, 1948, entitled, The Seventh Seal Of The Silver Cord Of Eternal Life.

“The reality of the Oneness of the Inner and the outer is established in you when the Kingdom is manifest through you. Then you provide the Seventh Seal, as it were, as a Unit, as a Nucleus—for the Silver Cord is connected to you, and the Current of the Spirit from the Divine Source is established through you. Then, through you as a Nucleus, an awareness of these things can be carried out into the consciousness of the world body of humanity. That development of awareness in the world body will have to work out more or less along the lines of its development in you, and yet it will be different, because you are to be the manifest expression of that which you, in the beginning, could not see or definitely know of. The Silver Cord of the Spirit, established in you the Nucleus, as the Seventh Seal, then provides the fact of the union, or the Oneness, between Heaven and earth, whether the world knows it or not; for the average human being certainly knows nothing of the Silver Cord or the Seventh Seal in himself, and, from the ordinary standpoint of perception, he does not need to know.

“Some have been surprised, in time past, that I did not try to get people to become aware of some gland or see, in some fashion, supposedly a silver cord—as if that meant anything! That was a mystical way of telling a great truth. That was symbolic. That had meaning, and does have meaning, only in relationship to the fact that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand… and as you function truly, not as a mixture of iron and miry clay, but as a Pure Gland of Life in the Archangelic Body, you are aware of the Silver Cord that connects the Current or flow of the Holy Spirit through you into the world”—and our means of connection with responding ones everywhere. “You are aware of what that Holy Spirit is doing in the world, though the world may not be aware, just as your consciousness may not be aware of what that Current of Life is doing in all phases of your organism” in this moment—"but if that Silver Cord were broken the body would… die quickly. So, also, with the relationship of all Responding Ones with the Kingdom that is coming on earth. That can manifest only when there is a strong, vibrant Silver Cord, the flow of the Divine Current of Being flowing through the Nucleus into the world body, that all who will may be drawn to share in the building of the Whole Body…

“Here, in a different sense, not merely from the standpoint of that which permits physical life, but from the standpoint of that which permits the fulness of life, we are privileged to be the Nucleus, a formation of the Seventh Seal, which provides the connecting link between the Inner and the outer, which permits the manifest expression, the true function, of the Silver Cord of the Holy Spirit in relationship to the world body of Responding Ones. When there is a realization of the importance and the responsibility that rests upon us in relationship to our function, we cannot set this in the scale against anything else in the world, because to do so would be to reject our Divine Calling.” This realization also “reveals the fact that we have the privilege of utilizing the Power of God in a manner that the world knows not of, in a way that you are only now beginning to barely glimpse…

“So, as we, with one accord in one place,” in the Temple of Light, “in that Place provided of the Lord on the face of the earth, reach the point of being” the fulness of “that Nucleus, that Seventh Seal, by which the Silver Cord of the Holy Spirit is permitted to work on earth… then, having sought and found the Kingdom—where? in Heaven? no, on earth”—then we are truly serving God, and those who are Responding to His Love. “Therefore, let us function according to the Word of our LORD and KING. Let us be true to our KING, and let us serve without wavering, without denying Him, without causing our thoughts and words and acts to say that we do not believe what He said,”—when He called His true disciples, when He called us His friends. If we do not believe that the Kingdom can come on Earth, then “we classify Him as a liar, and to do such a thing is to give allegiance to the prince of liars, the prince of this world.”

“We cannot serve two masters. It must be one or the other, and there must be a cleansing… an elimination of the unreal, so that here the pure, true expression of that Seventh Seal”, which is open in Heaven and manifest on earth, can “permit the glorious and wonderful outworking” of His Creative Purposes. And through the reality of The Silver Cord, the Creative Design of Love, the Holy Spirit, may draw all responding substance into pattern, and let His Kingdom come, to the blessing of this planet, and all responding ones everywhere.

From the Central SUN of Suns, through the myriad of galaxies, through our galaxy, to our Sun, to us, instantaneously in every moment, the creative cycles move forward. So may we move forward in service, providing the substance of living awareness, through which the Kingdom of Heaven may come again on earth. What an adventure! It’s a delight to share in this with all of you. I’d like to invite David to continue.

David Barnes — Well Gary, you've left David speechless. Truly I don't really think I need to say anything further. What could I say, to do any finer than you have done in bringing this in which all of us are sharing this morning. So why don't you continue Gary, and receive any comments, responses, any of us would like to make; and we won't make this service period this morning overly long. It's my great pleasure to recede, and acknowledge the way in which you have come forth in our midst—an example of what happens when each one of us takes our turn in the holy place in service. It is possible, because the Silver Cord has been established, thick and strong and clear, superfluid and superconducting of the current of response flowing to the Most High, and able then to receive what flows down and out through us, extending through all the rootlets of that Silver Cord into the realms of creation that we each, and all of us are together, are responsible for, letting life increase. So, Gary, back to you, to receive what will come from the rest of our colleagues, our friends, here this morning. Thank you so much.

Shirley Malin — Gary, I just cherish the quiet moments we've had together, and I'm so glad that you and David have been able to honor this precious time. Your beautiful display through the movie was quite moving. I saw a lot of beautiful symbolism in what was played out there. And music has a very important part of expressing through me. I'm a dancer, and I love to feel the music and express it. You just so beautifully expressed your sense of cosmic connectedness through this movie. I feel it's been so well done so that all of us, in a sense, feel that need to be so thankful and consciously still, in the midst of all this—so we don't have a lot of chatter. I also appreciate David calling to have it in a controlled passion, so that we don't go over long, because sometimes when we go over-long we get chatty, and the substance dissipates, and we have such a beautiful power of substance right now. I'm so grateful to be able to share in this with you, and my heart surrounds you with thankfulness. Amen.

Christina Pivarnik — I too would like to voice my deepest appreciation Gary. Your visual images of the cosmos, accompanied by your exquisite music, let us have a wordless experience. And I think that that's a precious thing these days, to have a wordless experience. Music lets us do that in such a fine way. Dance does too, Shirley. I'm one of those, and isn't that a glorious thing to let our love for the LORD, for the KING of Kings come forward in non-verbal ways. I have to put it in words to tell you that, but you get the sense of what I'm trying to say here. I really appreciate what you've done, and the hours that you put into that piece. I know, it doesn't come fast, but it comes powerfully and beautifully. And thank you.

Anthony Palombo — I too would like to thank you Gary, for the beautiful presentation that you offered today. Your love was tangible, delicious. Your love for the Creator, your love for creation. What a journey this was this morning! Thank you so much. I love you, brother.

Marsha Bogolin — Gary, it was like looking into the face of God through the video as well as the music. And actually, I delighted in your face, and the purity that I felt in it, speaking as one of the Priests of the Order of Melchizedek. You described how the Silver Cord is our intimate love connection with the LORD, with the central GOD of Gods, with all that is above and beyond us, as well as all that comes through us in our service on this planet. And lastly, the sense that you brought through everything that you did, of the large cycles that are moving, immediately, every second of which we are a part, and how they integrally relate to what we are doing, was very palpable. And your calling for the easy thing, of sustaining the fine pneumaplasm that allows that creative power to move through us. I also loved how now science knows it as “dusty complex plasma”—my, such parallels over and over again. Thank you, just brilliant.

Laura Fisher — Thank you Marsha, and thank you Gary, and David. I remember Uranda's words: the body is beautiful beyond description; within it are the secrets of the universe. And what I saw in those glorious pictures is what the body looks like in various places: in the nervous system, the brain, the circulatory system—it was all there. The body truly has the secrets of the universe. And the universe obviously is one thing; it moves and dances and sings, and does everything together, and each part is essential for the wholeness of the action. And then we come to earth, where wholeness seems to be a difficult task. But it isn't, not at all! We've made that up: some people aren't doing it wrong; some people are doing it right; some people... on and on it goes! It's boring actually. But the wonder of the universe as you presented it—magnificent is a small word to use to talk of the experience of matching the body to the universe, matching the beating of the heart to the universe, and we all do it all the time. What beautiful freedom you have presented this morning. And I thank you.

Robert Merriman — Gary, thank you so much for sharing this wondrous journey with us, ushering us into the pristine vision of this moment. The instantaneousness of our connection with the All-That-Is, is so vivid to me right now, thanks to what you've initiated here. Science has spoken of light years and great distances. And yet, in the tone of what we've shared together, I can see that, all that is connected through the Silver Cord is right now; and as Shekinah is manifest in living through the unit that I am, and that we all are together right here, right now, all is blessed, and it is vast. Thank you so much for this window you have given us. What a beautiful view!

Deborah Starrs — Gary, I hope I can find the words to do justice to what has come to my mind, in all you've offered this morning, that we truly have our home and being among the stars. It's where we truly live, right here on earth: home among the stars. I remember at Sunrise seeing a depiction of Siomra, with dance and music and words; that was quite moving. This came to my mind this morning: that it now is manifesting in reality. We're living among the stars. We're at home, bringing it right here on earth. Thank you so much.

Sunwha Choi — Well, here in South Korea it's 3 o'clock clock in the morning, and it’s a very difficult time to join together; but what a comfort, and what a sweet and healing time it was.  I'm sure you've all have heard the news of what happened in Seoul; and we are all shocked, and very heavy all day long. So, I was compelled to join this service, with a kind of urge to join. And, well, just the sweetness of this togetherness and the atmosphere that we generated, I want to send it to all Korea, and all the people who are connected, and the healing and loving, soothing touch for them, and really doing what needs to be done. We don't know, I don't know what's really needed in this situation. Everybody keeps quiet and we don't know what to do. But just to send loving and healing current to them all. That's why I joined, and that's why I live, and that's why, still, my Silver Cord is connected. Thank you very much.

Gary — Thank you Sunwha. I was thinking that we are the friends, we are our Master's friends. Did He not say, “Henceforth I no longer call you servants, for the servants know not what the Master does; but I call you friends. For all things that I've heard from my Father, I have made known to you.” We are friends. We are attached by that Silver Cord which runs throughout the entire universe. It resonate moment by moment. So powerful. Let this inform our actions as friends of the LORD of Lords. We know His character, and we know the Way. We know it to the degree that we resonate with the love flows that forth from the Central SUN of Suns via the Silver Cord. It's instantly available to the entire universe—so beautiful. And again, I'm reminded, the Master said in the Book of John, “You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go forth and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain.” We have been ordained. We are ordained in each moment we resonate with the Truth of Love, which is instantly available. And we bring forth fruit in our relations with whomsoever we're with, as well as in quiet times, tending and keeping the Garden; keeping the essences safe, letting them grow; letting the Garden come forth. So, let's continue to play our part in the Nucleus of Knowing that is the Temple of Light. I'd like to thank everyone for their response, and particularly my dear friend David Barnes for inviting me to share something with you all. It's been a long time coming. I suppose I haven't spoken publicly in perhaps 40 years, but I always loved it. Perhaps this will be the beginning of something new for me; hopefully for all of us. So let us be a comforter to all who respond to the Truth of Love, wheresoever they may be. Thank you all. It is very obvious that there is a strong compulsion in the world toward self-destruction. This may be classified as an irrational compulsion, but present nevertheless. It seems almost inevitable, to those who are in position to observe what is happening, that the end result would be fatal to the human race. We all are well aware that there is considerable nuclear overkill present on earth, capable of being released by particular individuals who may or may not be all that rational. This is merely one aspect of the destructive expectation. There are other ways by which it might be brought about, perhaps not quite so suddenly.

This compulsion to self-destruction springs out of the mass unconscious. The mass unconscious is present with each person, so that these influences are everywhere in effect in human experience. It is easy to see how others behave irrationally, but we may have suspected that the same was probably true of us as long as the compulsion sprang out of this mass consciousness. There are those who have investigated to see why the compulsion is present in the mass consciousness. It doesn't really matter; the fact is that it is there and the influence is strong, so that human beings left to their own devices would certainly destroy themselves from the face of the earth.

I wonder how vividly this is known in our own consciousness. It is an expectation that tends to be swept under the carpet if possible, because it seems such an immensely terrible thing. It is important to face the matter, however, particularly for those who aspire to be Emissaries of Divine Light, because here is the viable alternative to the complete self-destruction of the human race—I wonder how vividly that is in the consciousness of those who aspire to be Emissaries of Divine Light. If it was clear, I think much of what has happened heretofore, in the attitudes and the words and the actions and the thoughts and the feelings of those who so aspire, would not have occurred. The fate, if we could put it that way, of the human race hangs upon a rather slender thread. So there is this strong destructive compulsion arising out of the mass consciousness in the experience of all human beings, perhaps in varying degrees of intensity. As I say, left to follow out their own devices human beings have condemned themselves. We have been richly blessed to become aware of another way to go. That way only becomes real in the experience of anyone when what rises up out of the mass consciousness no longer has the capability of directing the individual's existence but is supplanted by the creative influence of life itself. Mankind has been, and is, polarized in death, so death, both individually and collectively, is the ultimate conclusion. This springs out of the premise of death. Those who deal in death die; those who express life live. The truth of this statement is rather obvious.

So there is the mass consciousness, with the great red dragon there, dominating human experience. But there is also available, not out of the mass consciousness certainly, but out of a heavenly consciousness, what is capable of bringing life, of changing the polarity of human beings on earth to life instead of death. This alternative can only be introduced into the world of mankind and into human experience as there are those individual human beings whose own living comes out of this heaven rather than out of the hell of the mass consciousness.

The great red dragon, who has in these days become apparently so immense, exerts the destructive influence upon people everywhere. Here is the premise of death, and the conclusion is death. But we have some awareness, at least, that there is a premise of life, the conclusion to which would be life. This we would speak of as a true premise, but it requires human individuals living on earth to prove the truth of it, so that no longer can they be influenced and compelled by the destructive nature of what springs out of the mass consciousness.

The truth can never be proven as long as a person remains subject to what rises up out of the mass consciousness in his own experience. We know the sort of things that rise up there: fear, jealousy, greed. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2020/02/the-origin-of-fear-martin-cecil-20-1981.html] Here are three particular points of focus in this regard which operate quite extensively in human existence. Because of these types of influence arising out of the mass consciousness human beings react to each other on the basis of like and dislike, on the basis of human judgments of all kinds, on the basis of defensiveness and hostility. Obviously all this relates to what is rising up out of the mass consciousness. If we still willingly let such things control in our own experience we could be accounted to have failed, failed in this most glorious and supreme opportunity that has been offered to us.

Does what is present in the mass consciousness still have the ability to claim allegiance? I rejoice to see that there certainly is more concern with the true experience of life than there has been in times past, but do you think that is enough? Do you think there have not been people all down through the ages who had such a concern? But now, the way things have come to focus in the world, the supreme opportunity is here. The key is in what was portrayed by Michael and his Angels contending with the dragon and his angels. Unless there are those dwelling on earth who cannot be seduced by any of the many heads of the dragon the inevitable result of complete destructiveness is assured.

Here is the thread upon which the whole human race hangs. Who, of all the people in the world, have the supreme responsibility of providing what is necessary? Only those who have come to know what is necessary. You here this morning are included in those. How much has been maintained yet of the influence out of the mass consciousness in the individual's daily existence? Unless there is something absolutely clear in this regard there is no hope whatsoever for the human race. I suppose it might be said, perhaps there are some others hiding somewhere that we have not seen around who are really doing it now and we can depend on them. Do you think we should take the chance? I don't think such people exist. Here are the ones. Let us not have the attitude—Let it be by the hand of another. I don't know who that other is, do you?

What shall dominate, what shall control in our own individual, momentary living? That is the question. Is our polarity in life? Life is characterized by love and truth. We have known this principle for a long time. Only when our love is rightly centered, centered in an absolute sense, is the influence out of the mass consciousness of mankind no longer capable of determining our behavior. Does it seem as though such absoluteness borders on fanaticism? If we interpret it that way, then I suppose you could say that fanaticism is necessary. I don't think it is fanaticism. I think it is exactly what is natural in human experience. It certainly does not produce anything unbalanced; it causes a person to become capable of a true perspective of understanding relative to all fields of observation. It brings balance emotionally; it brings balance in what is done, in what is said, in what is thought, in what is felt. That doesn't sound like fanaticism to me. Certainly one-pointedness is necessary.

Words were used long ago, translated into English as “Get thee hence, Satan.” What on earth does that mean? It applies of course to all those influences and compulsions that arise out of the mass consciousness of mankind. We are hooked up to that. But there is another source, and it is the source of life. We know something of the quality of that source. We have seen it exemplified in some measure. We have known it to some extent in our own experience. Until it becomes absolute, however, there is nothing present on earth to change the direction of mankind so that they no longer head for oblivion.

There are many people on earth who see the prospect of oblivion but who do not know what to do about it. It all seems so absolutely inevitable. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2021/01/two-pyramids.html] There are those who are still whistling in the dark of course, but it becomes more and more apparent to more and more people that oblivion is in the offing. Some cry unto the Lord in their distresses. Perhaps we did that along the way, and He saved us out of our troubles, to this point at least. But why? For what purpose? That we may get into trouble again? This has been the repetitive experience of human beings the world around: “Save us, Lord, lest we perish.” Well that hasn't happened, collectively at least, so far. But there comes a day of judgment, the last judgment as they say. What shall that day bring? Oblivion to the human race? Or salvation? I doubt if it is possible to save the human race in toto; after all, there are millions dying every day, so that is perhaps not to be anticipated.

The way the world is, the threat of oblivion is made quite obvious to anyone who has the sense or the courage to look at it. And all this has been brought about by human beings themselves subject to the mass consciousness of humanity, or what is present in it, described as a great red dragon. Because people everywhere are subject to this the inevitability of oblivion is obvious. Only when there is a point which is not subject to that, present on earth by reason of particular human beings, is there any alternative. Most people are very reluctant so far to acknowledge this. They are not in very good position to recognize the nature and quality of that alternative anyway; they never have been. But for some obscure reason we have been raised up sufficiently to see it. As human beings we might say, “Why us?” Does that question need to be answered? I don't think so, if it happens to be us. We just need to acknowledge responsibility and take the necessary steps to let this new experience be ours. It is a new experience; it is not a modified old experience—that is about what it has been so far. It is a new state. You may find it hard to imagine, perhaps, a state where you yourself are not giving body and expression to what rises up out of the mass consciousness because you are giving expression to something else, and you are giving expression to something else so strongly and so consistently that there is no opportunity whatsoever for anything to rise up in influence upon you out of the mass consciousness of humanity. That is the way it happens.

But giving expression to this which is new, is new. It is totally what has not been known before. There is an inclination to take hesitant steps in this regard, toe in the water, just test it out a little and then draw back. I suppose there have been people doing this for thousands of years. Finally, drawing back, they fall back, and that is the end of it. But now is the day when the plunge must be made—come on in, the water's fine!—that there may be on earth what we have been speaking about for some time, a collective focus point of orientation and authority, a group of people, a group of individual human beings, who can no longer be seduced by the devil.

Of course, let us not look at it perhaps from that direction. That is the outlook which tends to assert itself with those who can be seduced by the devil. They are looking for the day when they cannot be, which is an acknowledgment of the fact that now they can be. How about those whose sole expression in living is of the angel of the Lord made manifest, a strong and mighty angel? These are two adjectives which may be used to describe the character of the angel: strong and mighty—no consideration at all of what influences have been relinquished, just a consideration of the nature and quality of what it is that is being expressed. And when that is strong and mighty the human race has a chance.

We are reminded of these things—perhaps because we still need to be reminded. Oh for the day when no reminders are anymore necessary because the fact is there, consistently there. What a wonder, what a glorious fulfilment this is. Then the tragic drama can be wound up; the curtain can fall on it: Thank God, the show is over!

“The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” Do we really know that? Or is it just a belief? It must be known, so that there are those present who live in that knowing, who live in the kingdom here and now, who are aware in their own living of the power and who reveal consistently the glory. Can we be where we are, in the very circumstances where we find ourselves, associated with the very people who are around us, and reveal the truth? Can we do it, do you think? Can we let it happen? Of course. It just takes an honest willingness to accept that particular responsibility. Then it doesn't matter who is around us, it doesn't matter what the circumstance is. Anything, whatever it is, whoever is present, is perfect.

That is tremendous; it gives us our opportunity to prove the truth in our own living, to handle those things as they should be handled, in the power and the strength of the Lord. Then we have no particular self-centered expectations anymore, and certainly we would never take an attitude, “Well I can't be expected to function correctly in this situation; I must be nasty because somebody else is making me nasty.” Oh, they have the power to do that, do they? There is your god. No! Thine, O Lord, is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, now and forever. So it is established. So may it be in our own experience consistently. Let it be so in all the days to come.

The Beast Out Of The Sea

There is a request recorded in one of the Psalms, in the words, "Cleanse thou me from secret faults." Some might think of secret faults being those points of failure which the individual imagines that he has hidden from the eyes of others, but if we are honest we do not maintain conscious failures of that nature. The secret faults are really those which the individual has not recognized, factors in relationship to his own being which he has not yet seen or not yet faced. We have recently shared a deeper realization of the shortness of the time. Events in the world of mankind are moving rather rapidly toward it’s point of testing—trying by fire. As we see these things clearly ourselves we know that there is no more time to be wasted, and therefore it is essential that we should face facts and see what might be called the secret faults; for if there is anything of that nature remaining in us the prince of this world can come and find it, and of what value, then, would we be in the hour of the world's great need? I would reemphasize the need to face those things which should be looked at, in the right attitude, so that there is no rebellion against the unveiling of secret faults. If a person has indulged in self-delusion, is it not a wonderful thing to come to the point of being offered the opportunity to see it? That should be cause for deep thanksgiving to God, for only so can we be cleansed from such things and can we come into position to play our part in the Ministry of the Spirit of Truth on earth.

I can assure you that in the days to come, as issues are being forced for the world, issues will be forced for you and for all those who have the great responsibility of contact and awareness of the Truth offered through this Ministry. The very fact that any individual has had that opportunity places upon him the deepest possible responsibility. Human beings have responsibilities of various kinds in the world that they are anxious to fulfil, that is if the individual is honest and has integrity, but in actual fact there is no greater responsibility in the world pattern anywhere than the responsibility that devolves upon those who have had the opportunity of seeing something of the Way, the Truth and the Life. We have, over and over, emphasized this point, but I think the critical nature of the world situation should bring it home even more forcibly. So, we need to take a good look at the pattern as it relates to the situation in the world as a whole, recognizing that this over-all pattern has its smaller counterpart in relationship to each individual. I would like to begin an examination with you of certain passages in the Book of Revelation. Some of these we have meditated upon before, but perhaps our approach at this point will be somewhat different. Principles will not have changed, but the application of those principles can be seen in a little different light because of the unfolding events which we may observe in the world. I will start by reading something from the twelfth chapter of Revelation.

“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born, And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and three-score days.”

I thought we might consider this creature which is here described as a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. The consideration is in relationship to something in Heaven, in the invisible realms of being. Whenever the things of God have come specifically into the world through any particular human being, or group of human beings, there has always been that present in the world ready and waiting to destroy it. This is true with respect to each one of you as an individual. There was, and perhaps still is to some extent, that in you which was ready to do everything possible to prevent the increase of the things of God in expression through you. The very fact that there has not been a greater manifestation of the things of God on earth through this Ministry reveals that there has been at least some measure of success on the part of that which has sought to prevent it. It is described here as a great red dragon.

Elsewhere the dragon is indicated as being the same as “that old serpent, the devil, and satan”—the self-active human mind. Considering it from the standpoint of the world, we may recognize here the focalization in that regard. Seven heads with crowns—crowned with authority—gives indication of the control pattern that operates with respect to the world as a whole. There are some who have imagined that these seven heads revealed a succession of seven focalizations of world power which would manifest over a period of time. We are not seeking to pin something down in that way. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2019/04/our-mandate-is-immense-from-spirit-and.html] We may remember our Master's word when He said that no man, not even the Angels in Heaven, knew the day or the hour in relationship to points of fulfilment. But there is something with respect to these things which we do need to see. In any time in the unfolding history of the world there is a supreme point of focalization in this regard; but remember, the dragon is in heaven. Human beings tend to look at the manifestation on earth to try to find the answer, but here is something that is in the invisible realm. The focalization of the self-active mind of man in the patterns of what we would call black magic does come to focus in a specific individual at any time during the unfolding patterns of history. There is such a focalization today.

We find that the pattern of the seven relates to specific focalizations, specific individuals, in relationship to the control patterns which govern the lives of human beings the world around. Human beings—all are governed by that which comes to focus in this which is described as a great red dragon, and the governing factors in the final analysis are maintained by physical force. The color, red, relates to that. Here we have a description of something which is real in the world today as much as it ever was. And, of course, the ten horns describe the forceful methods which are used to maintain control. The great red dragon is in the world. It is the governing factor in relationship to the human race. But it is hidden. Human beings do not know what it is or where it is. They may suspect that it is there. There have been efforts made in various ways at various times to find it. Many different elements in the world pattern have been blamed for the troubles of the world, and yet, has the source of those troubles yet been found? Now, of course, there are many who would take the attitude that presently that source might well be found in the Kremlin. I very much doubt it. Human beings look at the outer manifestation, the outermost fringe of things, and seek to pin the blame there. There are those, undoubtedly, who are blameworthy, but the ill things in the world certainly will not be corrected by struggling with the elements which appear on the outer periphery. There is something at center which is the point, in the final analysis, which must be dealt with.

The great red dragon operates through, and by means of, other control patterns, and we have a description in the thirteenth chapter of Revelation of two beasts. I might read something with respect to the first one: “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.” This beast is virtually a replica of the great red dragon, also having seven heads and ten horns. The distinction here is that the crowns are on the horns instead of the heads. The name of blasphemy is upon the heads. This beast is further described as being “like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” An interesting picture—a beast rising up out of the sea— symbolized by the sea: the sea of glass, and also that sea which passes away with the passing of the old heaven and the old earth. Here we had a symbol of that realm which connects, or separates, Spirit and physical form. The restless sea, the sea upon which the storms move, symbolizes the lower levels of the pneumaplasmic realm, those levels which human beings have distorted and in which there is turmoil and the manifestation of that which is not of God. Out of the mass pneumaplasmic realm, at the lower levels of it, there arises this beast, the means of control established by the dragon which governs all human beings who are centered in the self-active human mind. And how is that government maintained? Through the emotions. Human emotions uncontrolled, distorted, produce that which is of a bestial nature on earth, and this beast here described provides the means by which human beings are controlled and governed in this fallen world, whether they realize it or not.

Let us take a look at the seven heads. We know that man, when he fell, did so on the basis of an attempt to be as God; it was necessary that he utilize the principles which were Divinely established. We take note of this seven, repeated both in the dragon and in the beast, and we remember that there are Seven Spirits Before the Throne of God. If the dragon was to be successful in his government of mankind through the beast it would be necessary for him to prevent the Seven Spirits of God from having opportunity of establishing control in relationship to human beings. We have taken note of the nature of those Seven Spirits: the Spirit of Love, the Spirit of the Womb, the Spirit of Life, the Spirit of Purification, the Spirit of Truth or Blessing, the Spirit of the Single Eye, the Spirit of the New Earth. In order to prevent the working of those Spirits in and through human beings, a certain pattern of substitution had to be established, on the basis of opposites. For instance, as long as human beings could be kept in subjection to the spirit of hate, the Spirit of Love had no opportunity of working as it should in the lives of human beings. There could still be some distorted manifestation of love in a very limited field, but as long as hate was present, and human beings could be kept hating, obviously this supreme point in relationship to the Spirit of God was kept out of the world insofar as any meaningful effect in the lives of human beings was concerned. Hate is one of the outstanding spirits which is constantly being activated in the world—the spirit of hate. If there is any of this spirit still present in any of you, maybe not in its virulent form but nevertheless a lesser manifestation of it, then, certainly, the prince of this world has something in you, something which he can use in a particular point of stress to govern you.

There is an opposite in relationship to each of these Seven Spirits Before the Throne of God, and they do constitute the heads of the beast, the focus points of the ill spirits by means of which human beings are governed. Maybe a number of those heads may have ceased to be governing factors in your lives, but if there is even one it is obvious that the prince of this world can come and find something in you. We are reaching the point now where these things are certainly going to be proven one way or the other. There has been a considerable period of time for training and for letting the cleansing of secret faults take place, but we have come to the point where we must be right, so that the prince of this world, the dragon, coming, can find nothing in us. Otherwise we are of absolutely no value. We are not called to be very good, but to be perfect, and nothing less will do, because as long as the dragon can come and find something in us, what difference is there between us and everyone else on earth?

So, we may begin to undertake a specific analysis of these particular heads of the beast, that you may take an honest look at yourselves with a willingness to let yourselves be cleansed of secret faults. We have emphasized that if anyone can find an excuse for a fault, for a point of failure, that fault or point of failure cannot be cleansed away. The way the dragon works is to offer what seem to deluded human beings to be reasonable excuses for being governed by the heads of the beast. We know that there are no such excuses. Let us be very sure within ourselves that, as facts appear to be faced, we do not let ourselves be governed by this trick of the dragon—no excuses. Let us take an honest look at these things, that we may let the book of Revelation be a revelation to us.

The Beast Out Of The Earth

We were considering the nature of that which was symbolized by the great red dragon, and then by the first of the two beasts, the one which was observed to come up out of the sea. The great red dragon, that old serpent, the devil, and satan, represents to us the focalization of the self-active mind of man, and the beast out of the sea, the pattern of control used by the dragon in relationship to the world of mankind. And that control pattern is through human emotions. We were examining something about the seven heads, seeing that the dragon has to utilize the Divine principles in order to maintain himself as God on earth. It is not a matter of ignoring Divine principles and inventing something else. It has been necessary to utilize Divine principles—for the dragon to substitute spirits to replace the Seven Spirits Before the Throne of God. In order to fill the space which should be occupied by the Seven Spirits Before the Throne of God sent forth into all the earth, the dragon had to establish a pattern providing substitute spirits in this seven-fold form. As long as human beings can be kept filled with these opposite spirits, there is no opportunity for the Seven Spirits Before the Throne of God to have any real meaning in the lives of human beings. All of mankind has been unconsciously governed by the dragon through this particular beast representing the control pattern through the emotions by which human beings are controlled.

We anticipate examining the nature of the spirits which the dragon has utilized through the beast, recognizing the need to uncover what we were speaking of as secret faults, those things which have remained hidden from human beings, in relationship to which human beings have been deceived and deluded. But, first of all, I think it would be well if we shared a vision in the general sense of the over-all pattern. We recognize the difficulties with which the writer of the book of Revelation was faced. He was seeking to convey something with words totally inadequate to convey it. By the same token, I am seeking to convey something to you with words which, of themselves, are totally inadequate to convey it. Because you have a background of understanding, you should be in position to see beyond the words to that of which the word is but a symbol. The same difficulties are present today, in relationship to conveying that which the writer of the book of Revelation sought to convey, as were present with him. You should have an adequate background to enable you to see that which the words alone certainly cannot convey.

We have considered briefly something of the pattern as it relates to the first beast, and we saw how it came up out of the sea, out of the lower levels of the pneumaplasmic realm, those levels which are immediately in contact with the physical bodies of human beings. The dragon establishes the patterns therein which are those same patterns which are present in relationship to himself. This beast was a duplicate manifestation in the pneumaplasmic realm of the mass of humanity, and as long as human beings are polarized through their emotions in the things that are external to themselves they are governed by this beast. They give him his power and authority, and he seems to be completely invincible.

The beast is compared to a leopard; he had the feet as the feet of a bear; he was like a lion. A leopard is one of the swiftest animals on the face of the earth. You know something about the swiftness of human emotional reaction. Something hits you, and there it is—it takes over—it is what happens in relationship to those who are governed by this beast. The bear is a very powerful animal, and you have found that emotions are powerful things. And the carnivorous lion, the symbol of destructiveness, ripping and tearing his prey. We find three characteristics of emotional reaction: very swift, very powerful, and very destructive. This is that which controls the lives of human beings. And that control is directed by the dragon from the standpoint of something that is, insofar as its governing factors are concerned, a cold and calculating thing. No doubt those specific individuals who provide the focus in relationship to the dragon, whoever and wherever they may be, are motivated by emotions of various kinds, lust for power, for instance, but their actions are calculated. As long as human beings are subject to the control of their emotions they are subject to the beast and they are subject, consequently, to the dragon. They are his dupes. Whether they have any recognition of the existence of such a control pattern or not makes no difference—because of the heat of emotion, deep feelings all centered in the opposites of the Seven Spirits Before the Throne of God.

It is indicated that at a certain point one of the heads of the beast received a mortal wound. And yet, that wound was healed and the beast continued as a governing factor in the world. That point when the mortal wound was received was when our Master was on earth, for He defeated the prince of this world. The prince of this world came, and found nothing in Him. Our Master met and vanquished the supreme head in relationship to the control pattern established by the dragon at that time. That was, and is, the victory. But human beings, instead of letting it carry through so that the manifestation of it might appear in all the earth, became subject again to the old controls, and miraculously the beast has remained, even though the devil was met and defeated. “The prince of this world is judged.” Our Master spoke those words nineteen centuries ago. It was established back there. The supreme head was defeated. The victory was ready to be received by human beings. But all the world wonders after the beast, for it is still here, apparently as invincible as ever and yet, actually, already defeated if human beings were willing to share the victory which our Master established. It is to that sharing of the victory to which you and all are called, to let the form of it, the fact of it, the Truth of it, be revealed on earth. It is not something that has to be established. It has been done already. It just has to be cleared through into the patterns of manifestation and acknowledgment on earth.

There is an interesting verse concluding the statement concerning this first beast.: “He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity; he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” The Law works with absolute certainty. “As ye sow, so also shall ye reap—The patience and the faith of the saints.” We know that if the wind is sown the whirlwind will be reaped but, by the same token, if the true seeds are sown the true harvest will be reaped. And if the dragon and the beast are defeated, their defeat is acknowledged in relationship to ourselves as individuals, we have the absolute assurance that the same victory over the dragon and the beast must appear for the world. If you experience the victory for yourselves you can have patience, you can afford to wait, for you have absolute faith, the absolute conviction, that what has been sown in the world will be reaped in the world, and in that reaping the way will be opened for the manifestation of the victory in relationship to mankind on earth. The dragon imagines that he is almost at the point of gaining the absolute supremacy on earth. How he deludes himself! The self-active human mind, no matter how cunning and sly and wise it may seem to be in its own eyes, is fundamentally stupid. There has been a failure to appreciate the Truth: “As ye sow, so also shall ye reap.” The means of the government of the dragon on earth is established through destructiveness of every kind, through ill spirits of every kind, through evil of every kind, and to some extent through good of every kind. There must be a reaping. The days of the dragon are numbered.

He not only has this beast out of the sea to provide him with a control pattern in relationship to human beings, but another beast out of the earth, the beast that has two horns like a lamb but he speaks like a dragon—he is the mouthpiece of the dragon. This beast is also spoken of as the false prophet. We have the dragon, the beast and the false prophet. What does this beast symbolize? The focalization of control through the emotions. Beasts, in the destructive sense, always refer to something working in relationship to human emotions. This beast comes up out of the earth, the physical and material realm of being, that which is all around us in manifestation, in form. This previous beast related to something that was invisible except insofar as human beings feel and know the effects of control through emotional reaction. Here, in this second beast, we have the manifestation in form of something which looks like a lamb. Now, the lamb relates to that which should be Divinely established on earth. We speak of the One Christ Body, a form through which the Power of God should work.

This lamb has two horns. From the Divine standpoint, what would we say those horns are? The methods of control. We recognize their relationship to the Spirit of Love and the Spirit of Truth—the Rod of Truth and the Staff of Love. But, from the standpoint of this beast, what do we have? The primary methods of forceful control in the outer sense we might perhaps define in the terms religion and science, and we have recognized the relationship of religion and science to the old heaven and the old earth. Human beings who are not dominated by religious controls are likely to be dominated by scientific controls, in the outer sense, and vice versa. It covers pretty well everyone. Science covers a great deal more than the word “science” generally indicates in its ordinary usage—it would include all the patterns of commerce in the world, all those things that are based in human knowledge. And human beings find themselves caught on the horns of a dilemma, the horns of the beast.

Most human beings feel that they have to be governed by the factors in relationship to their external environments; they have to act thus and so in order to make a living. The dragon has human beings convinced that they have to worship him if they are to continue to live on earth, let alone to be successful in life according to the human standards. And what does it say here about building an image to the other beast? What are the controls in the human pattern in the external sense? People say, “Business is business. Anything goes.” Jealousies and envyings, resentments, fears, hates, all the other emotional factors are present with respect to the daily round of human function in the world as it is. Unless the individual acts like a beast, with fang and claw, he is pretty soon going to be submerged, and overwhelmed, and lost in the shuffle. That is the idea, and the dragon has got everyone convinced. It is true, is it not? It says something about doing great wonders—there are some marvelous things being done in the world—even making fire come down from Heaven in the sight of men. The world is a pretty hot place. There are lots of human beings in the fire. “And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live”—the idea being that that beast is completely invincible.

We have got to worship him and keep him alive; otherwise, we are all going to perish. The dragon surely has human beings well deceived. “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads”— in their acting or in their thinking, “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Everybody has to conform. If you don't, look out! That is the word of the beast, but he is the mouthpiece of the dragon, and the dragon we will recall was a liar from the beginning, and it is not necessary to subscribe to the principles which the beast or the dragon has established in order to live on earth. The dragon offered the world and everything in it to our Master—the supreme point of arrogance on his part—and yet human beings had given complete backing to this offer which the dragon made, having placed the world and everything in it in the dragon's hands, all completely deluded by the dragon. We do not need to stay deluded, but we recognize that it is no use getting into a battle with the false prophet, or with the beast out of the sea, because these are only the willing dupes of the dragon. If you destroy the dupes without destroying the dragon he will find some others. We have seen it happen, over and over again. Just look at world history. This emphasizes once again the futility of fighting. The dragon is very happy to have people fighting. As long as people can be kept fighting each other, imagining that the other person is the enemy, the dragon is quite safe, and human beings have never been able to penetrate all the way through to the dragon. He does not appear on the front page of the newspaper. We see evidences of the false prophet, evidences of the beast. There may be a certain awareness that somewhere or other there must be something back of it, but where, or what, is it? Human beings do not know. Because they are governed by that which the dragon has established, they remain in a state of blindness and ignorance, in bondage and in darkness, struggling with each other, fighting here and fighting there, imagining that the enemy is “lo here, lo there.” All this gives evidence of the presence of the enemy, but he will never be destroyed by fighting. Fighting is one of the ways of maintaining the control which the dragon uses. It is not a matter of changing systems, in the ordinary human sense—that is believing the lies of the false prophet. There is a right system, it is true, but that right system will not appear as long as human beings are under the control of the dragon. They do not know what it is. They do not know how they could let it appear. They cannot let it appear as long as they are under that control. It is impossible.

We see how very simple the answer really is. Let us stop being controlled by the patterns which the dragon offers, stop being controlled by the outer elements of the human pattern, stop being motivated by reaction to those things. We have recognized that, in relationship to our program, our motivation should not be in that which the dragon offers through the false prophet. Money—that is a primary control in the world. We can work without being controlled by work. We can have money for the Lord's use without being controlled by money. Once these things are proven in you then this is your patience and your faith, because you know absolutely that as you sow, so also shall you reap, even as you know absolutely that as the world sows, so also shall it reap. As long as there is any point of control in either of these two beasts in relationship to us the dragon still governs in some measure in our lives and, as the prince of this world, he may come any time and find something in us. He only needs to find one thing. Everything else may be as it should be but if he can find one thing, that is all he needs. Perhaps you have moved away from the more obvious controls of the dragon through the false prophet but not yet are you completely clear, nor yet in relationship to the beast out of the sea.

In our examination of these things I trust that the pattern is clearer to you so that, seeing the Spirit within the words, you may have increased understanding, increased vision, of that which is necessary. While the patterns in the world seem very complicated, when we begin to examine the situation as we are doing it becomes rather simple. There are endless ramifications in relationship to the control patterns established by the dragon. We do not need to be particularly concerned about them—we may know they are there—provided that we cannot be deluded either by the beast or by the false prophet. Then we have the dragon where we want him, no longer above us but under our feet. Then we know the victory. There may be much more to be made manifest, but, insofar as we ourselves are concerned, we know the victory; we know the Truth of it, the actuality of it. And, because it is so in relationship to us, we know that it certainly can, and will, be so in relationship to the world. We have patience and faith.
