The Light Not Eclipsed

The  Light  Not  Eclipsed

excerpts

John Gray   December 27, 1987   Glen Ivy, California

[These words were spoken fourteen days after Martin Exeter's final Sunday service;

exactly seven days after Martin entered the hospital in Kamloops, and he was in a coma;

and they were spoken sixteen days before Martin left this outer sphere on January 12, 1988;

these words by John are imbued with the radiant and everlasting life current, and so they are timeless and pertinent.]

The solar cycles progress perfectly. A natural phenomenon from our earth-dweller’s perspective is a solar eclipse, which occurs when the moon is positioned between the earth and the sun, blocking from view of part, or perhaps all, of the sun's light temporarily. In ancient times before this enlightened scientific era, such occurrences were viewed fearfully—the appearance being that some dark disk was eating the sun. The metaphor of an eclipse has relevance to us, for Martin personally has been a Sun around which our lives have tended to orbit—a point of stability, radiance and life. Whether an eclipse is partial or total depends on where one’s position is on earth.

For us, Martin's illness might be analogous to an eclipse of the sun, being visible only to emissaries and resonant associates around the world. It isn't geographically confined, as the view of a physical eclipse tends to be. If we share an awareness of the natural order of things and of what is actually transpiring, we won’t react primitively, in fear, to a metaphoric eclipse. There are many suns, countless suns, and each of us is one. Identified with the source of light, an eclipse is not disconcerting.

Insofar as each of us is concerned, is spiritual focus any less present, any less a reality, now than it was two weeks ago? No. Something is different, yes, and perhaps that might raise questions in minds and hearts such as, "Am I adequate to do what I need to do?" But is anyone's task now different from what it was a week or two ago? Is anyone's responsibility different? In fact it isn't, though perhaps in the experience of mind and heart it may seem to be. If so, hallelujah! The fact of personal responsibility, known more theoretically heretofore, is brought right home by current events. But the fact of responsibility is neither less nor more, no different from, what it has always been. The need to fulfil the responsibility is great, yes, but no greater now than it was before Martin’s illness.

During an eclipse the sun is still there and continues to shine. Only the evidence of it is temporarily blocked from view. But again, it is only blocked from view if one is standing where the shadow falls. To someone else, somewhere else in a different position, there is no eclipse. What do we see? A shadow falling on the earth? Or no lessening of the light?

There may well be questionings about personal adequacy, feelings and thoughts of that sort, arising in many. When something so steady and so consistent and so dependable as Martin has been—I suppose one could count on the fingers of one hand how many Sunday services he has missed in thirty-plus years, and most of those were probably due to traveling—when such a steady, reliable presence seems to be eclipsed, it does change the familiar status quo. But, as I say, it does not increase the responsibility that we each already had. There may simply be an internal quickening, an enlivening, a brightening, of a sense of spiritual responsibility, so that the central spirit symbolized by the sun is borne adequately by us as a body. Wonderful!

It’s sometimes casually said that the LORD knows what He is doing. No doubt there is spiritual expediency to this present state of affairs. Seeing that, then there is no judgment that something is occurring which should not be occurring. There is no sense of loss, no sense of something going terribly wrong. Perhaps there is a sense of change, but no less awareness that all is well, all is strong, all is perfect. Perhaps you, as I, have been aware of a very considerable increase of radiance, of spiritual presence, in ourselves and our friends who compose this body. The whole of this body steps forward. There is continuing sharp focus and an increased manifestation of the light present.

One quirk of human nature is the irrational desire to remain childish. One evidence of childishness is the reliance on a parental figure to be a provider. This appears to give one license to be a receiver. Initially, that is normal and necessary, and the provision made specifically by Martin over the years, and Uranda before him, has been magnificent and copious beyond belief. This spiritual body has been abundantly nourished during its infancy and childhood and adolescence. Now there is the necessity to move into radiant adulthood, which involves, of course, the assumption of spiritual responsibility for oneself. That assumption, which is not a mental decision, allows sufficient light in expression, personally speaking, to see things as they are. Consequently the light of another is not required to be shone on our personal affairs, the world of personal responsibility; the light of personal expression is sufficient to see what is there to do. In any moment there is only the next thing that needs to be done. That is all. By saying that, I don't suggest that somehow light in expression through one person is independent and separate from light in expression through another. One of the characteristics of light is that it blends—it is completely compatible with itself, for the source from whence it springs is one.

The state of oneness is factually putting in an appearance through many individuals who compose a collective body which reveals the one source. This is what is occurring in our own personal experience. We see things in the light of our own expression. If the light is shining, vision is adequate, understanding is adequate. Mental understanding isn't all-encompassing, universal in scope. Thankfully it doesn't need to be; that isn't the design of the mental apparatus. The mind's function is to accommodate the light, to be Lucifer, the bearer of the light. As the current of light moves, the mind is moved, and vision is suitable and adequate to the present need. We trust the creative process working through our own consciousness.

I think sometimes when the creative process is mentioned it is seen as being separate from oneself in some way—"Yes, the great creative process is working out everywhere, and I am somewhere in the everywhere so it must be working out in me too." This is the theory, whereas the fact of the matter may be that mind and heart have a sense of somehow being left out, of being not quite sure, hanging back in the shadows. To step forward in the assumption of responsibility is not to be brash, pumping oneself up egotistically—"I am able. Oh yes, here I am, Lord. Send me!" We've been sent and we are here. The assumption of responsibility comes as gently as the shining of the light, no imposition, but with it come strength and power, the power to transform first the mechanism which accommodates it—our own capacity of consciousness—and consequently what that consciousness creates, that which seems to be beyond ourselves. The creative process in personal experience moves from nowhere out through our personal equipment for its manifestation, into the world. This is how we know it ourselves and how we are acquainted with its working in one another. We see what's what and thus respect what is occurring in ourselves and in our friends. Let’s be assured. Here is something absolute, steady and stable and trustworthy. And it isn't external to us; it isn't a light from somewhere else. It is oneself.

Someone who is considered a leader, in the usual sense of that word, is seen as a person of vision, a person of character, perhaps with something charismatic and inspirational about him or her. Great leaders are often portrayed in history books as larger than life, people of great stature. I remember as a child being surprised when I found out how short Napoleon was, because I had had an enlarged image of a great general—the conqueror of a big portion of the then-known world. Characteristics such as vision and largeness are acknowledged in people who are leaders of men in the ordinary sense—of course such are usually acknowledged a generation or two or three later, after their flaws have receded from memory. In the United States there are few, if any, clear national heroes in the last centuryyou have to go back as far as Abraham Lincoln to find someone who became impeccable, right? There is obviously a lot of imagination involved here!

Vision and largeness of stature describe true leadership, spiritual leadership. There is vision because the light is shining—we can see. There is largeness because one knows and understands and intelligently cooperates with life's creative process. Insofar as my own sphere of responsibility is concerned, I feel immense and my sphere is very manageable. This is the view from heaven. This is the view in the light. This is our view as emissaries of divine light: "The world of my responsibility is very manageable; it isn't overwhelming. There is nothing fearful in me about it. I am well able to possess the land in the name of the KING.”

Obviously if we can't get out into expression through our own minds and hearts we are not going to have that kind of view of our creative fields beyond. Hence there is the first necessity for mind and heart to come to rest, to be still. In stillness is the face of the deep, a setting where the light may manifest. Knowing something about the creative process, we are aware that that relates to the first creative day. The earth is without form, and void, and darkness is upon the face of the deep. It’s a womb-time. The spirit of God moves upon the face of the waters, on the available substance of consciousness, and there is light. Light is born into the dimensional universe in personal experience in this way.

I am the light of the world. I amand here I am emerging: the light, born in consciousness, of the world which I create around me. Nothing can eclipse that. Nothing can stop the creative process from working. Nothing can impede the shining of the light. It can be blocked from view, but it can't be stopped. Life itself is unstoppable, and it is the nature and character of our KING. As we personally, individually, accept that identity with increasing lightness ourselves, then we walk with assurance and exhibit the same spirit and character that we so love and admire in Martin, and in others. It is the character of the KING, accepted and expressed.

This is our responsibility, is it not?—no more and no less than it was a week or two ago; just as easily accepted as ever, just as joyfully known. Let there be light. Let the light shine. Let there be no preoccupation with apparent eclipse, but let us remain identified in what is represented by the Sun. Thus we know that all is well, all is strong, all is perfect.

It is great to participate together in an hour like this, to focus more sharply in consciousness—and I’m speaking of and to my own—these things which we know. Let us be in accord in a current of assurance and reliability, no less available in this world, and presumably moreso than it was. So we play our parts, and joy fills us.

Martin Cecil  1983

We find ourselves in a position of continuing stability as a Body. Here is something dependable, something which will be there regardless. Because one human form is no longer present, it makes absolutely no difference to the operation of the Body. Is the Body so puny that the absence of one person can stand as a barrier to the outpouring of the spirit of the Living God? Of course not! The question always arises as to whether the concern is with the person or with the truth that that person reveals. If you know the truth for yourself you can never be left desolate. But if you depend upon some person, even if that person is an expression of the truth, you will be trying to live a theory. And when a person in such a situation discovers that it was a theory, there is the opportunity. When it gets right down to it, a theory is a lie. A theory is never the truth. So if one lives on the basis of a theory one is living a lie. I trust that all of us, in one way or another, will be faced with this issue. Do we place our dependence in a person or in the truth?

We have a wonderful opportunity because there are those persons who are increasingly revealing the truth. But let us not depend upon the person; let us rather accept the truth into our own knowing because we share the expression of it. And if you are expressing the truth you will continue to be expressing the truth whether this person or that person is there or not. We may, from a human standpoint, perhaps speculate and say, “Well it would have been better if so-and-so had stayed around a little longer; I would have liked it if he had.” There is a like getting into the picture. Any of us could say that, but that is the human view, isn’t it? If we express the truth, we know that what is essential is always present, that nothing of reality has been lost, ever. This is the fact of the matter, a fact that many people are unwilling to acknowledge because they justify their desolation on the basis of their love for a person. Thou shalt love the Lord thy God only; thou shalt love the truth only. If a person reveals that truth, well we love that person because we love the truth. We don’t love the person and then the truth, as a sort of adjunct; that is fatal. We love the truth first, and then it is found that some person who is expressing the truth can’t be separated from the truth. The truth is a spirit. We have been speaking of the Spirit of Truth calling things to remembrance. The truth is not a form. Forms come and go, obviously. They will even come and go in the perfect state of the oneness of heaven and earth, only on a little different basis. But the spirit abides. What has been lost? Nothing.

There are many who are discovering an increase of that spirit in their own experience. Praise the Lord! That is where it was supposed to be in the first place. But we tend to hold back, don’t we? The let-George-do-it syndrome. We know the truth when we express it. As long as we keep expressing the truth we can never be in a state of desolation. We rejoice wherever that expression of truth appears. We love those who reveal that they are one with that truth because they are expressing it, but we love them because we love the truth. And we know that if that person doesn’t happen to be around anymore the truth hasn’t gone anywhere. We know it hasn’t gone anywhere because it is still being expressed by oneself. So we share the opportunity of a larger perspective. Come up hither, that we may see from a level of understanding that has always been available and that is now beginning to come forth increasingly as there are those who are concerned to express the truth for themselves, to be the truth in expression, not depending upon anyone else to do it.

Uranda  1947

I was thinking that, in the conclusion of the activities of a blessed day such as this, we might well again give thought to the Master's Prayer at the time of the conclusion of His Ministry. The conclusion of His Ministry was peculiarly the point where our Ministry begins... The human mind is so inclined to feel the distance of the intervening years, so that there is a loss in a consciousness of personal contact. The Son is the One Christ Body on earth, then and now. The meaning of the Word as He spoke it with respect to His own manifestation is not to be construed as the only meaning, for He spoke also of that Body that is—“Father, the hour is come”. His was the hour of departing; ours is the hour of beginning, of moving forward in fulfilment. The Father glorified the Son then. He is just as capable of glorifying the Son now. “The hour is come. Glorify thy Son”. Why? “That thy Son also may glorify thee”. The beginning and the end, or the end and the beginning, are the same... He was here on earth. It seems but yesterday we heard Him speak. It seems but the passage of a moment since His prayer first ascended as sweet incense unto God. Time—these things transcend all time. It was but yesterday He gave the Promise. Today we let that Promise be fulfilled. We remember how our hearts were stirred at the sound of His Voice, and the passage of an hour or a day cannot quiet that stirring or end that surge of consciousness of the Power of God. It is now, in this hour, that the Spirit of His Word finds fulfilment in our hearts. It is now, in this hour, that we let His Promise be fulfilled. The excitements and the questionings, the fears and the doubts, have been stilled. We have ceased trying to make it be so, for in the vibrant Power of His Love we are not separate or apart and we know that the Father Himself loveth us because we have loved Him, because we do love Him Who has walked the earth before us, Who has revealed the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Martin Cecil  1974

As we share a perspective view of the outworking of the creative cycles over the last four thousand years we discover that time ceases to separate. We might for a moment consider what occurred nineteen hundred years ago, when our Master was here. As we have looked at those events and at what it was He actually brought, does it seem like it was separated from us by nineteen centuries? One might almost say that it occurred yesterday, and the same thing is true when we look even further back, because our concern has been to refocalize the truth as the truth was present then. But it is also present now. If we look at the events that occurred in the external sense, all the failures, the troubles, the difficulties, all these things, then that was a very long time ago; but the truth that was present, the truth which could have permitted a victorious outworking in the First Sacred School, is just as surely present now as it was then. So the intervening time vanishes when we are polarized in the truth. If we are polarized in historical events, then that was way, way back.

Having The Glory Of God

Having  The  Glory  Of  God

Martin Cecil  May 17, 1981 a.m.

“And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not [love] thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy [righteous acts] are made manifest.”

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of [fulfilment] of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.”

These latter words are taken from the Book of Isaiah, indicating what was established in the realm of Cause at that time. Later a portion of this particular scripture was apparently quoted by Jesus. His words included the first part of this passage, indicating the initiation on earth of what had already been established in heaven. As the creative cycle moved and this point was reached, the door of opportunity was opened by Him for the children of men to participate in the continuing movement of that most glorious creative cycle. They could either have moved under His hand in the unfoldment thereof, or they could reject what He had brought in the spirit of peace. Rejection occurred, but this did not nullify the continuing movement of that creative cycle, for out of what human beings have looked upon as death and the mystery of resurrection the creative cycle continued to take form.

The world today, in a multitude of different ways, gives evidence of that continuing unfoldment. We ourselves have come to know the truth of this. We have some awareness of the inevitability of what is happening. Again we, and all mankind, have the opportunity of acceptance, participation, or rejection. According as the works shall be, so shall the results appear. No human being on the face of the earth is exempt from what now transpires.

“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And [the angel] carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Having the glory of God …

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and the honour of the nations into it. And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal,

proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.”

Here is a portrayal of great beauty and much significance. We can look at these words in the light of our own experience. We are assembled now in this beautiful building, sharing the rich substance of the spirit of the Living God, rejoicing together to be here in oneness of that spirit, to have the opportunity to give glory to God in music and in song, knowing the wonder of life, discerning something of what is written in the book of life.

The holy city coming down from God out of heaven is no longer merely a fanciful imagination, as though it were an inanimate object to be thrust upon the world at some particular moment of God’s choosing. The holy city is known because the angels of God are present in it and made manifest on earth. It is a living state, which comes forth in the experience of the world because there are those present who bring it forth. Human views spring from the state of separation which sees that holy city as something apart from what is now known. But it isn’t separate from what is now known: it is rather a part of what is now known. As the angels of God are sent forth into the earth they are sent forth to reveal the reality of that holy city. It is by reason of the state of consciousness of those who share an understanding of these things that the holy city may be present, not as a strange thing descending out of the sky, but as the living expression of being known by those who are capable of surviving the sea of glass mingled with fire.

The city was said to be composed of gold, the streets thereof were of gold also: the symbol of love. Fire is the symbol of love. The heart, crystal clear, filled with the glory of the Lord. When this is so, as we ourselves may know, nothing that defiles or works abomination or makes a lie can enter in. The exclusion of such things is not because bars of iron are erected to keep them out. It is not because a defensive attitude is taken, or as the human being may say, “I mustn’t let this come in; I must keep it out.” What a struggle! But sharing the glory of the Lord, the expression of that joy, that love, that reality, makes it quite impossible for anything that defiles or works abomination or makes a lie to enter in. The purpose of such intensity of radiation is not to keep such things out, but that the river of life, clear as crystal, may flow freely into the consciousness of mankind.

Here we are together this morning, flesh bodies with minds and hearts, to be opened and yielded to the Lord, to the fire of His love, to the outpouring of His spirit into the world, that there may indeed be a sea of glass, clear as crystal, mingled with fire. The things that defile, work abomination, make lies, cannot exist where love is known. But love is not merely a pleasing emotion. It is fire indeed!

In love there is dominion. In love there is the design of truth and the glory of life. Love is not exclusive. Human minds and hearts, in their experience of separation, have tended to have an attitude of exclusiveness. Even those who have drawn closer to the wonder of love have found themselves in the fire somewhat in an uncomfortable way, to the extent that exclusiveness was maintained, the idea being so often that one had in the human sense to exclude this person or that person because they didn’t live up to the particular standards that had been arbitrarily set in one’s own consciousness. This exclusiveness has been present within the range of the Emissary ministry, as it has been called, both when looking toward those who seemed to be more exalted in the design or those who seemed to be less exalted in the design: “I can’t accept that person.” Who would be speaking in such case? Would that be the revelation of love? Love says, “I accept the design. I am the design. This is what I am.” And it is all-inclusive. There are those in the human sense who will be inclined to exclude themselves partially or completely. Has that not been our own experience on occasion, of excluding ourselves partially?

I changed some words in the passages which I read. One was “fear”, for which I substituted the word “love”. “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all.” Another word was “judgment”, and also “vengeance”. For “vengeance” I used the word “ fulfilment”. It could be looked upon as vengeance by some, I suppose, if that was what the harvest proved to be. But judgment was paraphrased by the words “righteous acts”—the righteous acts of God. They have certain effects. What the effects are is up to human beings. God acts. If we associate ourselves with the acts of God then the experience which is known is glorious. If we exclude ourselves from the acts of God then we receive the judgment that we have established for ourselves. It’s all very simple; there is nothing arbitrary about it.

There is no vengeful God dishing out misery, just human beings insisting upon it by attitudes of exclusiveness based in reaction of one sort or another: “I don’t like that person. In order to justify my dislike of that person I will describe his behavior as being contrary to the truth.” Love includes the design. All that is unfolding on earth is included in that design. Don’t object to it. If we associate ourselves as human beings with the angel of God who we are, it is all included. There is no fear that any defilement or abominable works or lies could assail our experience successfully. No particular consideration is given to that, because the total concern is to give thanks for the beauty, the wonder and the glory of the New Jerusalem which is shared.

How much attention is paid to the old state which is passing away! Even those pay attention who know better. The world apparently is sick unto death, and the human beings in it likewise. There are so many things wrong, so much that seems to cry out for correction, diseases of all kinds, individually and collectively. And how human beings study those diseases, with the expectation, apparently, that by such efforts the answer will come. How much attention is paid in that direction. And the word “disease” includes far more than the usual interpretation might be. Yes, something can be done in the world as we know it to alleviate some of the aches and pains in different ways, but our concern is not with that. It is that all things should be made new, the New Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven, a new world, a new heaven and a new earth.

How reluctant most people are to relinquish the first heaven and the first earth: “No, we’ve got to study it a bit more; perhaps we can yet save it.” Never! It is passing away, thank God. This should be cause for great rejoicing. I suppose a little first aid here and there may be helpful, so that the person has another chance to receive what is being offered. Well there must be those present on earth to offer it. This is what has been absent from the world. How reluctant even those who begin to know something of these things are to provide what is coming down from God out of heaven. “No, we have to look over the earth a bit more. There may be a treasure lurking under a stone somewhere. We have to unearth it. We have to find the answer.” No you don’t, because there isn’t any there! We certainly know better.

We are here to share in bringing the New Jerusalem into the world— it can be put that way; one way of saying it—something coming down from God out of heaven, something which springs forth in the already moving creative cycle. It is here. If we are constantly distracted by this, by that, by the other thing, by our reactions to what is happening on earth, how could we possibly be in position to shepherd the New Jerusalem into the world? Anyone who is wrapped up in all these things that are going on in the earth is saying in effect, “These things that are happening here are much more important than what is coming down from God out of heaven. That’s just imaginary.” Well it is to that person presumably, because he doesn’t have any space in his own experience to know any different. But we do. We are here. We have offered ourselves, body, mind, heart, to the creative expression of the spirit of the Living God. Let us let that expression come forth. We will do it in our simple circumstances or we won’t do it. And we will have no attitudes of exclusiveness remaining, where we think that such and such a person is not worthy. Such and such a person is part of what is unfolding if one is part of what is unfolding oneself. You can’t exclude anybody. Everybody is in this same creative movement. And where there begins to be a consciousness of the fact that there is something beginning to emerge that is clear and right and beautiful, how much easier it should be to rejoice.

We were singing “America the Beautiful” before, with a certain amount of enthusiasm, I detected. Well it is not so much America; that is a little fragment of something. The New Jerusalem, the Kingdom of God— these are beautiful. What else do you think is beautiful? Anything else is corruption. Human beings have worshipped corruption. They worship disease. No wonder there is a multiplication of corruption and violence in the earth. If there is corruption and violence in the earth, why is it there? Obviously because people put it there. It wouldn’t be there if there were no people to put it there. Well if we are reacting to corruption and violence we are also playing our part in sustaining it. Some react to it because they think that is the only way to make things better.

We are concerned with righteous action, which is not based one iota in reaction. It is coming down from God out of heaven now, to be expressed now, to be revealed now, to be enjoyed now, that the wonder of it, the beauty of it, the glory of it, might be shared. There has begun to be an awakening to this. The New Jerusalem, the Kingdom of Heaven, whatever you want to call it, is here. What more precious experience could we know on earth than this truth? And it is entirely up to each one as to what is known. What a wonder, what a joy, what a beauty, what a glory, what magnificence it is, to share the revelation of the New Jerusalem on earth, the outpouring of the spirit of the Living God, the coming of the Comforter.

I am most thankful for the wonderful increased evidence there is, brought together now by those who are participating in the Music Conference here, of a blended oneness which is not in the least produced by human efforts but which is there to the extent that those concerned have awakened to the expression of the Living God in their own living experience. Then it is there; it doesn’t have to be made. And there is an acceptance of each one by every other one, all together, because there is trust in God, for one thing, and there is assurance that unconquerable life prevails. We don’t have to support it.

Emissaries have been inclined for many years to talk about support. There is really no necessity for support. Just express the spirit of the Living God. That is all that is required, and that will be all-inclusive. We see people who insist upon corruption and violence and perishing, but we are not willing that any should perish if we can provide anything that would assist them to live. So we do not exclude anyone. God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, come into the new world, the world which is not just a figment of hopeful fancy but is a reality here and now. It is known to be real because it is our own experience, it is what we are, it is what we express. Love, joy—how beautiful is the Kingdom, the Kingdom which is here! Why should we insist, to the extent that we may have done so, to keep it hidden behind a veil? We keep it thus hidden because of our foolish human reactions to other people, to events.

There are events putting in an appearance on earth which seem to be very dangerous: “Oh we should react to those ones.” Really? Would that help? How would it help? No, there is “a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.” That is the only thing that will help. Let’s let it happen because we ourselves are clear as crystal. We have no attitudes which we impose upon other people. We are clear. As far as everybody on earth is concerned we are clear. There are events, yes, which look to be dangerous, and there are people present in all those events. We are concerned for the people, that they might come to repentance. How are they going to come to repentance unless the door is opened whereby they may do so? And who is the door? Where is the door? It is right here. We see people everywhere locked into this matter of violence. They see that as being useful in some way or they wouldn't be associated with it. Oh that all might come to repentance, out of the state of perishing, because there is present on earth the reality of the Kingdom of God, the reality of the New Jerusalem, by reason of those angels who have taken form on earth to offer this glorious opportunity to everyone everywhere.

I rejoice with you in an awareness of these things, an awareness which we share. The agreement that is, makes sure that what is inevitably happening will do so in the release of the greatest possible blessing on earth, that all that does not belong in God’s world may pass away. Everything is offered the opportunity of being in God’s world, but whatever does not accept that opportunity must surely pass away.

Glory to God in the Highest. How much beauty there is. How much beauty there is right here this morning. We may all thank God that we have eyes to see the coming of the Kingdom, because it is our coming forth. It isn’t coming from somewhere. It is what we are, coming forth. Is it more difficult to enjoy life than to think of life, and act as though it was a pain in the neck? Let us enjoy the Life of God. It is indeed glorious. There is constant increase [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2020/05/melchizedek-increase-grace-van-duzen.html] of the experience of beauty and of wonder. With one accord we may allow our own individual experience to center in these things. And the light shines. The intensity of love which radiates forth is all that is necessary to make all things new.

Our great LORD and holy KING, in Thee we know love, truth and life, for Thine—and so ours—is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory, forever. Aum-en.

Lillian Cecil — Martin, we live in the splendor of the New Jerusalem. It is people, we the people, who have made this Dome, this beautiful Dome. It is we the people who have sung. It is we the people who plant the flower. And it is we who have shared this glorious hour with you. The Word of the Lord has gone forth, and our hearts are full of thanksgiving.

Martin Cecil — All things come to pass as they should come to pass when the people are the Lord’s people.

Easter Sunrise Service 1987

Easter Sunrise Service

Martin Exeter   April 19, 1987

There has been a group of people assembling for a sunrise service on Sunrise Ranch for about forty years. Here is one evidence of a faithful consistency. This morning is a beautiful morning. It hasn't always been so for sunrise service; however most of them were conducted in the open air, only just a few inside. Sometimes it was cold; sometimes we saw the sun rise. This morning we won't see it rise because of the cloud cover, but we know it does. Here is another evidence of faithful consistency. We ourselves have participated in such consistency to bring us to this hour.

Over these years there has been an unfoldment of the creative process, in our experience and in the experience of others, bringing to pass something of a miracle. During this period of time, year by year, there has been a movement out of an emphasis on the religious past into the increasing freedom of spirit in the present. On Easter there is supposed to be the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. Insofar as all are concerned, that is simply a fantasy. Because of this emphasis on the past, whatever might have been known in the present has been prevented from appearing except insofar as this Emissary Body is concerned, for here is the factual, present reality of the resurrection of the Body of our KING on earth.

As a fantasy of the past the resurrection has had little meaning except to keep alive the memory of a possibility. We ourselves, with others the world around, have offered ourselves to be included in the resurrected Body of our KING—a factual reality now. Over the years there has been a generation of spiritual substance which has permitted the formation of a body of agreement—all this in spite of manifold factors of human nature that have been, and perhaps still are, present in those concerned.

Here is a miracle indeed! that such a Body could be drawn together and continue in faithful consistency over the years, while dragging along what we well know are characteristics of human nature. In spite of all that, in spite of such resistance and rebellion as there may have been, the Body is present and alive. Doubtless there are changes yet to occur. As each is able to say, and to speak truly, "I am the Incarnate One," so may the Body also speak truly, "I am the Incarnate One." This, because the Incarnate One is present and in expression.

We rejoice this morning to let that Incarnate One speak and say, "I am present. I am the resurrection and the life. I am alive in form forevermore." This is the reality. The fantasy may pass away. So we share these moments this morning in the continuing movement of the creative process, rejoicing with others the world around in the resurrected Body of our KING.

I speak to those here present, or wherever they may be, who know Thee, most Holy Father, the only true God, because they are Thy Body, the Body of Thy Son. So Thy Son lives on earth. The joy of Thy Word is known to the Son. Thy Word is Truth. All who receive the Truth are sanctified through Thy Word and are made one in the Son. Thy power and Thy glory are given to Thy Son, that the world might be restored to Thee. Aum-en.
