I have used animals to work out vibratory cycles in a good many instances when human beings failed me, and it has worked particularly with horses, although the same thing has been true with dogs to some degree. Animals function on what we call a Life Ray from the corresponding positive manifestation of the Inner Planes. There are not incarnations with animals as there are with human beings. The human being takes on the aspect of animalism, sinking below the animal in fact, when he cuts off the current between the outer manifestation and the incarnate Being, with the exception that the same Current of Life remains.

The animal does not have an incarnate soul, so to speak, in the sense that human beings have. There are various degrees of intelligence and self‑consciousness in animals, with varying degrees of ability to think, as, for instance, with some dogs; but animals, or the animal kingdom, speaking of it in general terms, was created to have a manifest relationship on earth to man very comparable to the relationship of man to the God Being. The Life Ray of the animal, of course, was independent of Divine Man, but the animal kingdom was supposed to be subject to, or under the domination of, the vibratory focalizations of Divine Man, so that the animal kingdom should co-ordinate with Divine Man as the manifest form of Divine Man should co-ordinate with God Being. After man fell, the focalization or radiation of self‑active consciousness which impinged upon the animal kingdom produced various changes and destructive results in the animal kingdom.

In the Orient there is a wide-spread development of function with respect to the negative aspect of being which permits focalization of consciousness in the upper layers or strata of the Third Plane where, according to the consciousness so focalized, the individual feels that he has reached the ultimate where man, as a drop of water, blends into the Ocean of God in Nirvanic bliss. The development along the lines followed in these Oriental philosophies (though they may have a genuineness of principle in them) permit a high degree of coordination in the three phases of man that function from a focalization of consciousness in the upper levels of the Third Plane, which permits a high degree of attunement with nature and can be utilized from that standpoint to exercise control over wild animals to make them tame, or make them be obedient to the will, and to cause birds or animals to come peacefully into the focalization of radiation and to harmonize on a peaceful basis; but such power, exercised in the animal kingdom, from that standpoint, while it is conceived to be evidence of great control, attunement or attainment, does not, in fact, signify that which it seems to signify, because it leaves the individual without unification in the Fourth Vibration where he may have the Firm Foundation.

All the ideas concerning the transcendental states of consciousness of union with the Divine in the state of Nirvanic bliss never allow the individual to reach the point where he is conscious of and, to a considerable degree, harmonious to the emanations or radiation from the Inner Planes at the point of the Veil which separates the Third and the Fourth Planes; however such development does not permit the individual to penetrate through the Veil and achieve a state of oneness in relationship to the Fourth Vibration. He does not go the three-days-and-one-half.

In the upper levels of the Third Plane, inharmonious vibrations cannot penetrate or remain. They cannot exist, and the states of Being, shall I say, with respect to the vibrational realm indicate these various upper levels are either that which is like a sea, or the various distinctions that have been utilized in attempting to convey an idea of that which is contacted in Nirvana, or in those realms even above the level spoken of as Nirvana, and that is simply contacting the level from which Divine Man is supposed to function with His attunement based on the Fourth Vibration. But these processes of development as practiced in the Orient never penetrate the Veil and, therefore, also remain fully and completely within the range of the Negative Triune World, although the radiations received or attained to in these upper levels that emanate through the Veil permit such individuals to utilize, according to their concepts and states of consciousness, a high degree of Spiritual power.

I might mention here, because it is a very important point, although it does not bear directly on our consideration of animals, the fact that such focalizations of consciousness which penetrate to the upper levels of the Third Plane from a standpoint of the self-active function of man, or growth and development according to these various philosophies, is that which maintains the Life Currents by which the world body of evil is permitted to be sustained. In other words, the disintegration that would naturally work out in the world mass is hindered and reduced by the fact that a comparatively few individuals in the world, by reason of what is generally classified as extremely good, contact and harmonize with very fine and wonderful Spiritual principles and are able to go through a process of lifting themselves, so to speak, or project this attunement by human effort, for a so-called good purpose, into these upper levels of the Third Plane where they become channels of the Life Current which flows through them into the world body.

All these individuals who have so attained come under the classification of what the world calls masters and they are good; they are wonderful, and in the world they do a great deal of good. They are invariably dedicated to the purpose of uplifting mankind, and their purpose, as actually fixed in consciousness, is to be a blessing to man, but because their attainment has been on a self-active basis which does not penetrate through the Veil and harmonize with the Fourth Plane, it is, in fact, a source of great evil, although they themselves are very, very good according to the highest and noblest classifications of the outer world.

That may seem like a startling statement but, nevertheless, it reveals the basic principles carried to the very n^th degree in relationship to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The highest good that man can attain through his eating of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil always produces, regardless of man's intent and purpose, the greatest evil, not because that individual is basically evil and not because he has any intention that his function should be evil, because he is devoted to the good. He thinks to eat only of the good fruit of the tree but, in so achieving on a self-active basis, (and only through eating of the fruit of the tree by which he thinks to attain and be as God) he permits the currents released in radiation to be focalized in the specific channels of expression which such individuals are, and they are carried in strong currents into the world body so that the world mass receives a high degree of the pure Life Current through such channels. And the decay and disintegration which would naturally result from the self-activity of that mass body, if the mass body had to depend upon the Currents of Life to which it may be attuned, is reduced to a tremendous degree because of the addition of the Life Currents through those individuals who have achieved to such a high degree of what the world classifies as mastership.

I shall leave that point there, but it was important to recognize these fundamental principles in relationship to a consideration of our relationship to animals because, when it is remembered that the animal kingdom was to be to man what Divine Man was to be to God Being, it is seen that the Life Currents received in the animal kingdom through the Life Ray from the Inner Planes and focalized in outer manifestation constitute one side of the triangle by reason of which Divine Man was able to participate in creative activity in the realm of Nature; and so on that basis the animal kingdom was supposed to be enfolded in Man's Love, coordinated according to the Truths of Being, or the Pattern of Truth, and projected into the world through the consciousness of Divine Man.

The breaks between fallen man and the animal kingdom have had different degrees of influence upon different manifestations of the animal kingdom. For instance, the dog, as an outstanding and specific example, chose to go with man in the fall. Those wild animals which refused to accept the vibratory influences of fallen man and refused to be really tamed and domesticated are those which made a complete break, as far as such a thing was possible, from man's vibration and rebelled against man, developed ferociousness and meanness, and from that time onward depended upon their instinctive impulses received from the Life Ray and sensitized through the field of experience; but the dog, to illustrate, chose, as it were, not to break with man but to go with man in the fall. Of course, the animals that did not respond to man and are not subject to domestication were subject to the fall in any case, as much as the dog for instance, but it was a vibrational separation from man's focalization of consciousness. The dog, accepting or remaining attuned to man’s focalization of consciousness, is a remarkable example of faithfulness and devotion even under extremely trying conditions. The dog was permitted to remain that man might have an evidence, and an indication from out of the animal realm, of the manner and nature of devotion which the outer manifestation of man was supposed to give to his God Being. Of course, the conflicts and breaks in the current have produced many mongrel manifestations among dogs which do not provide any purity of evidence of this particular principle but, nevertheless, it remains to a remarkable degree in a large number of dogs; and that faithfulness and devotion to man carries forward even on the disturbed vibrational basis, giving man something of an example of the vibrational pattern which was supposed to exist between man and the whole animal kingdom, and also serves as an outer evidence to man, if he will but see it, of the faithfulness and devotion which the outer man is supposed to give to his Lord. Various aspects of this can be enlarged upon, but I think the basic principles have been touched upon.

The masters who have reached a high degree of attainment through self-activity cannot see beyond the Veil, though they think that the level to which they have penetrated is the ultimate. That is what they call the Absolute. These higher levels of consciousness to which they have penetrated are still within the range of the Third Plane, but they think that they have penetrated to the Absolute. They have no focalization in the Fourth, outside of the fact of Life. Until those channels which permit the Life Currents to be released into the world mass for self-active purposes are cut off, the world mass of evil is sustained. I am talking about the highest development in the Oriental philosophies which have reached the acme of development that is called mastership. Until those channels which permit the Life Currents to be released into the world mass for self-active purposes are cut off, the world mass of evil is sustained. It is the highest possible attainment of the individual who eats of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; and all of the Oriental philosophies use the same pattern. The individual tries to lift himself according to certain laws and principles, and arbitrarily penetrate into the Realm of God. If they remain obedient to certain laws, and remain balanced, they can penetrate to the upper levels of the Third Plane, but not beyond—just on the inner fringe.  I wonder if I could convey a picture to you.  We will draw a line at the Veil between the 3rd and the 4th.

Three Outer Planes

Here we see portrayed the Veil, the final point of distinction between the Third and the Fourth Planes. We see the Fourth, and in what we may call a layer here, the Sea of Glass, the emanations of radiation from the Inner Planes are so absolutely of the nature of the Inner Planes, and coming through with such solidity that, here at the level of the glassy sea, after the perception penetrates to this level, there is no stream, no ripple; there is nothing but just that. Do you see what I mean, in this layer, described as the Sea of Glass? It is absolutely without any vibrational influence. Here, at the upper levels of the Third Plane, the differentiations appear, and there is in here what we would call an Ocean of Consciousness, or the place that in the Oriental philosophy is called Nirvana, where those who penetrate to this level enter into Nirvanic bliss, so to speak; but they have not reached this Fourth Level. There is that on beyond. This at the Third Plane differentiates more and more until we get clear down here into the Second Plane, and lower, where we have the range of the so-called good people.

I do not know what words could be used except Sea of Glass, and that Sea of Glass that is mentioned in the Book of Revelation is this level at this point. These adepts penetrate up into this range. They may get to the lower edge of that but that is as far as they can go. This is what is described by them as vibrationless and formless. There is quite a gulf between the higher range of the world's good people and this. There is a gulf in between. Those are the people who have to be cut off—those who reach into this level, and maintain these Currents or Radiation into the mass, because they themselves attune to it self-actively and allow the Current to be used for self-activity into the world body. That is the reason for so much evil. It is in itself good, because it takes the higher qualities of good to achieve it; but that greatest good produces the greatest evil, not because of any intent on that person's part but because of the Currents of Life that they have allowed to be self-actively utilized in maintaining the world mass of evil; and if that could be cut off, then the disintegration of the world's evil would be much quicker. Down here in these levels they are limited to whatever degree of Life Current may manifest from within themselves, and limited to that the results of evil would manifest very quickly.

They call it white magic, but what they do not realize is that this results in evil. The general idea is that black magic is something that is done through vibrational currents for selfish purposes without consideration of others or the rights of others, and white magic is supposed to be based upon motivations of service and blessing to others. But the thing that they fail to take into consideration—although they claim that they are not selfish and, actually, according to their own concept, they are not—is that they have lifted themselves, and the product of it in their own efforts is still there, even though it is done on a basis of being a means of blessing to the mass; and it is because of that high degree of devotion to service and so on, utilizing the principles of Reality, just barely within the Law so to speak—it is not really within the Law in some instances, but it is so close—which makes it so difficult for us in our work. That is the highest point to which evil could rise. No evil or anything of the self-active mind can penetrate beyond that line. It cannot go through the Sea of Glass. That is all they can see, and that is why they think it is the ultimate. That is the highest point which can be attained by the adept.

Above the Veil would be those who are functioning from the standpoint of Reality, walking on the Sea of Glass.

Let us see what it says here in Revelation 21 in connection with the New Jerusalem. "And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain [high levels of consciousness] and shewed me that great city, the Holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God." It is constantly descending here all the time, and if the individual permits himself to be so attuned to Reality that he has gone the three-days-and-one-half, or is established upon the Firm Foundation, then this has meaning, but as long as this which he receives is utilized according to self-activity, according to his concepts of good, he cannot function from the standpoint of Reality. He thinks, having reached this point, that he has done what God said he could not do. "For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." So all of this function is to attain oneness with God. In other words, all of these things are efforts to prove that the devil was right, but they all come to the same thing.

Uranda read Revelation Chapter 21: 11-18. "…pure gold, like unto clear glass…" From the outer standpoint, do these words have any meaning? Who ever saw pure gold like unto glass? The two do not correspond. That would seem to the outer consciousness to be a contradiction, but we have to remember that we are utilizing mystical language. It is pure gold, and that symbolizes the radiation of the pure expression of Divinity. In other words, that relates to this right here at the Fourth Plane. That is just one. "…and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass..." Again the same thing is emphasized. It is the failure to comprehend that which has brought about the failure of all the efforts of man to bring about real salvation.

"And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal…" Does that help to clarify in consciousness this matter of distinction between function according to God's Plan and the function that man has utilized down through the ages? He attempts to eat just the good fruit, and the highest possible attainment with respect to the good fruit achieves great evil. That is Spiritual wickedness in high places, and principalities and rulers of darkness are classified by what we call black magic; but anything self-actively done, even this so-called white magic, falls into that classification, even though there is a marked distinction between the two.

"Enoch walked with God and was not; for God took him." And we have Elijah and the Master—three instances in the Bible who saw beyond that. There is no focalization of consciousness anywhere in the world, outside of the Third Sacred School, which understands those particular distinctions and the manner of working in relationship to them. They will all tell you that when you reach a point where you contact nothing that you contact God. 

The Negative Life Essences are the particles of that Radiation from the Fourth Plane as it manifests in our atmosphere. The point of origin is in relationship to the Sea of Glass. We are moving into a realm of the Fourth Dimension—not as Einstein spoke of it, but through the dimensional function as natural to Man in relationship to these three outer planes; but those that may be classified as the Fourth, manifest in relationship to his true attunement with the Firm Foundation.

We remember that the First Plane vibrations are found in the First Plane; the Second Plane vibrations are found in the Second Plane but interpenetrate the First. The Third Plane vibrations fill the Third Plane, but interpenetrate the Second and the First, but not the Fourth. The Fourth Plane vibration interpenetrates the three planes below, although it has its pure manifestation of essence in the Fourth Plane, which is penetrated by the Fifth and Sixth. The next can penetrate the Seventh, although the Seventh is contained in All. With respect to the Whole, there is a definite location, and yet with respect to the different Focalizations of Being, all those things are equally true without respect to distance or what we might call physical elevation as up and down. It applies to the Whole, or to the individual, or to the Unit in focalization. It is not limited to time, space or distance. We do not have to go from here to there to function in relationship to it, because Heaven and Earth are one. The Master said: "The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand", and we see how that is true.

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Heaven is the environment of the God Being. It is that which is present by reason of the Presence; so the Kingdom of Heaven is present wherever the God Being is present, but the Kingdom of God would include the Whole of the Cosmos. "The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand", is what the Master said. That was true because of His Presence, but because He left it, it does not mean that what He said ceased to be true. The word Gospel means the Good News of the Kingdom. As far as the Master Himself is concerned, the only Gospel which He mentioned was the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven. "The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand." That is the Gospel, and He represented the revelation of the Truth with respect to that, and the manner of function in relationship to it.

In relationship to the Veil, to what levels have the saints penetrated—St. Thomas Aquinas and such people? I would hesitate to make any blanket statement. Each individual case would have to be examined on their own merits as to the levels to which they may have penetrated, or the levels to which they may have been attuned. I would like to take one specific example as an illustration of principle. Let us consider Bernadette of Lourdes, France. There was a case of innocent, child-like, constant, devotion of response to the highest that she could conceive of. The accuracy of her conception is, with respect to the principle, beside the point, except that her concept would become the channel through which the manifestation of consciousness would appear for her. Do you follow me? To the highest concept of which she was aware she devoted herself. That concept, then, had to be the channel of the manifestation to her, so the devotion and the Love Response permitted her to become attuned to these higher levels of consciousness; but the manifestation of that attainment of power appeared in her consciousness as a vision shaped according to her concept of that to which she had been responding. As long as she remained polarized in that, so that distractions or reactions around her did not break her attunement, she permitted that power which is of this Sea of Glass level to manifest through her. However, we have John the Revelator who obviously saw beyond, but by and large those called Saints never penetrated, insofar as direct consciousness of attunement is concerned, beyond that Veil.

Right here, in manifestation with respect to the Third Plane, is all the power, all the force and all the energy that would be necessary to accomplish anything under the sun from the standpoint of Reality. It is a matter of attunement to that Current and utilizing it properly with respect to the Will of God; but he who attunes to it because of self-active will is not in position to use it according to the Will of God, so whatever he gets from there is used according to his own will. In the case of Bernadette of Lourdes, her attunement was established on the basis of Love Response, which is a fundamental principle. It was not her self-determination that made it so. We have to remember though that here at this point there is in manifestation all the power of the Cosmos in relationship to anything that might need doing on earth. The only thing is that in order for us to be so attuned that that power may be used according to the Will of God, we must be attuned to God, and in order for us to be stable we have to have a base on the Firm Foundation, which means attunement with respect to the Fourth Plane, and the Sea of Glass. That is why I have insisted that we are not going to try and operate and do these things until we have the machinery. So many say: "This should be done and that should be done," as if they knew, but to try without having fulfilled the Principles of Reality would again be self-activity, and there has been enough of that. The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand, and that can manifest providing the instrumentalities for its function are in evidence.

The LORD of Lords has truly been good to all human beings, and the reward wherewith they have rewarded Him has been, for the most part, utterly contemptible; and He Himself spoke the Word of Truth: "As ye; sow, so also shall ye reap." And we let Him do the works—not in human strength. The way is open and the provision is made, but for the last time.

Millicent Holliday — I have chosen to share excerpts from a presentation given by Grace Van Duzen on November 13, 1988 [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/search?q=a+story+in+stone] entitled A Story in Stone. Grace and Lillian to me personified divine womanhood. Their agreement, not only with Uranda and Martin, but with one another as well, has provides much (I am certain) of the firm foundation upon which we now stand. Here are some of Grace’s words:

“I have had a story in my mind and heart for many months. This is a story in stone. There is established in the earth, and has been for many millennia, a symbol in stone. This symbol, as I am sure you have guessed by now, is the Great Pyramid, and that Great Pyramid has a name. It is spelled G-i-z-e-h, but it is pronounced “jee-za,” and it is a symbol of the LORD of Lords. Being a symbol of the Lord, it is also a symbol of His body. In the beginning this monument was like a gem; it was a shining, radiant light. Pyramid means light. So, we have a connection, a point of union between heaven and earth, where light entered the world. This was a specific physical thing that happened, but it was also a symbol of the entrance of light into this world through man, Divine being brought to focus in the LORD of Lords.

“If there has been anything on earth, it has been a persistence in the mind of man, of failure, absolute failure. “What can we do? Look how everybody failed back there.” But I see in this a continuum of what was initiated from the very beginning. If we look at it, this is quite a picture, this monument, first of divine man. But then if we see what happened to it, it is a picture of the body in the human state today. First the apex disappeared; and now it has come to the point, where nothing can be seen outwardly but a hulk. If you have ever seen the Pyramid today, it is a hulk, and it is not pretty. I think it is an accurate picture of the body of mankind separating itself from that which is above. Regardless of appearances however the power is still in the body, part of a continuum.

“The first one who appeared to let the focus of a body of God come again on earth was Abraham, he was the pioneer. He came out of Babylon, just as surely as we have, and he was aware of a great promise. Next, we come to Jacob, he had twelve sons. We can see through such stories a beautiful victory over human-nature patterns. That is what has allowed this story to continue. It was not some airy-fairy thing. There was victory every step of the way in what we might call little things. What else is there but little things? We wouldn’t go out and commit murder or rob a bank, but what about those little niggling things that obstruct the full flow of the spirit? That is where the victory was established every step of the way in these stories. If you look at the story of Joseph, there is a key to what came later in the movement from twelve men to twelve tribes. There would have been nothing for Moses to work with in the way of a body if it hadn’t been for Joseph and his marvelous story. It wasn’t just: Get twelve sons and there you have it, and they reproduce and reproduce, and you have Twelve Tribes: and that is the body. What was the quality of this body? We found in the story of Joseph that, having been treated terribly, according to any human concept, by his brothers, he wound up in Egypt and functioned perfectly, until in season the only place to buy food was Egypt. Because of his presence the food was there. So, his brothers came down into Egypt. If you remember the story, they did not know him, but he knew them, and he made them prove themselves. He tested them within an inch of their lives to see whether they had changed. Otherwise, there would have been no basis for the emergence of the Twelve Tribes of Israel. They proved that they had indeed changed. They would not sell their youngest brother as they had Joseph. They offered themselves instead of him, if he was to be put in prison. The reason was that they could not hurt their father. So, it was the love for the father that brought the love for each other—the two great commandments—and the proof that they had changed. There was a solid foundation, and Joseph was aware of all this.

“In the unfolding process of history, we have the coming of the Master and all that He brought, and the magnificent opportunity for mankind then. Jesus brought the mighty truths again. In His personal victory He made it possible for the body to continue. There was failure then, but something carried through. John, His most beloved disciple, on the Isle of Patmos, knowing full well that the end would be execution, dwelt in an ecstatic state where the reality was revealed to him. Here again was a wonderful continuing.

“To say that things cannot change is a lie. It doesn’t matter who did what. We lay down our lives in living for our friends, for this whole body. As Martin put it, the pollution in the heaven must be dissolved. The old heaven and the old earth are passing away. The positive thing that allows this to happen, is love. That’s all. God is love. It is that positive force which is still in the body of humanity. It cannot be defeated. We can talk about failure all the way through, but there is a continuum of victory that says: Oh yes it can be done; it is being done. The victory is much more real, surely, than any failure. There is a tendency to put the emphasis on failure, past or present, and maybe even in the future, but that is saying that the devil is stronger than the Lord, that you can defeat the power of God. It is not possible!”

Millicent Holliday — What I specifically love about these beautiful words of Grace’s, is her emphasis on “the continuum”. On the fact that there actually is a far greater precedent of success than there is of failure. It is so easy to delude ourselves that this is not the case. Incarnate man without the awareness of Angelic Identity has such limited vision.

Something I feel that is relevant relative to the larger picture is the fact that mankind lived in the divine state prior to the fall of man for 155,000 years. One hundred and fifty-five thousand years! The fall of man occurred roughly 20,000 years ago. ONLY 20,000 years ago, not even one creative day. Uranda in his timeline outlined that one Creative day was 25,872 years. That means that timewise, we have not even been in this fallen condition for a whole creative day. We fell between the twelfth and thirteenth days. It’s the 13th day now, which I believe is … lucky for some! Hopefully for the body of mankind.

The Lord (prior to the fall of man) when he came walking in the garden in the cool of the day, instructed man that, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” He did not say in the days, plural, he said in the day, singular. To me this emphasizes that there would be a finite time, the fall would not be a continuous state, something that would be allowed to go on indefinitely. We are still in that day, time wise, we still have time to stop eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, in our momentary living, in “the little things”. And as we each do this and establish patterns of victory personally day by day, then we do it collectively, and we establish a vibrational ark, and this is how the “Greater Works” are done, and the kingdoms of this world become the Kingdoms of our Lord, and of Jehovah, His Body, restored.

Bill Bahan — Thank you Milly. It’s good to know the spirit of victory. We can certainly appreciate the great spiritual leaders throughout the Story of Man who fulfilled their commission and we know that it requires a collective body to do what needs to be done now. I’d like to share an excerpt with you from a service given by Martin in August 1987 that was titled The Vibrational Ark. I’m sure we’ll find that these words are as true today [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2017/09/from-martin-exeter-16-1987-individually.html] as when they were spoken by Martin 35 years ago. And here are Martin’s words:                                                

“There is a vibrational form, if you can put it that way, a body, to be generated.  In order for it to be, it must have the vibrational substance to be, and that vibrational substance can only be generated through the flesh bodies of human beings. Human beings are useful in that regard. They are not useful in all the things they think they are useful about, but in the generation of this substance. There is an ark, a vibrational ark, taking form, generated because there are those who have been drawn together by spirit to participate in the process. The process involves changes occurring in one's own human nature, and as those changes occur vibrational substance is generated. And that vibrational substance accommodates the design in spirit.

“Something begins to be drawn together. It may seem to be a slow, tedious process; I know over the years I have thought that from time to time. But it is the only way to go; nothing else works. So stay with it! Be consistent, not just for a week: "Well I'll see if it works"—it won't on that basis—but because one couldn't do anything else. One holds that consistency over the years, for however long is necessary. And, behold, there is substance present in some human beings which begins to resonate with that radiation. The substance begins to come home. The substance comes home wherever the person is. He doesn't really have to move.

“Ultimately we discover that one can't stay away—and, again, I am not talking necessarily about physical location, but stay away from the focus of spirit on earth through which that radiation comes. Then we find a relatedness to that, which is natural to each one. But it only happens because there is this substance already present to start with, and because there is subsequent increase of the generation. And that is the building of the ark. That is where we live and move and have our being, and we are no longer so concerned about external form. That's what most people fuss about, isn't it? “I don't get along with so-and-so.” Why? “Because they rub me the wrong way”—the external form of things. But you come back to spirit, and the substance that is resonating, and we discover that we all fit together. We are not all the same but we all fit together. There is a design. There is an ark, in other words. There is an ark created of this vibrational substance, which is where we belong.

“Do you think anything is going to be preserved in the realm of form as we know it now? If you're stuck in the realm of form you are stuck in something that is not going to be preserved. There is no safe place in the realm of form. People are beginning to see that this planet is shot. It is not going to be able to support human beings, in the way they are accustomed to, anymore. At least that point is in the offing, not very far away. One could compare that to the Flood, I suppose: no place of safety, except in the ark. Of course that's an analogy. But this is the reality now. This is the ark now which is being generated, or the substance for it is being generated, that the design of it may appear. We find ourselves in certain relationships because of that, because of the vibrational design, not because of physical form. If we cling to physical form we will find that we pass away. If we are at home in the vibrational ark, that does not pass away.

“We have discovered ourselves being drawn in various ways into various configurations of people who don't usually get along too well, to start with at least. But to the extent that they are not so hooked on form they begin to find that they do have a natural association, they do blend together, they are part of one thing, one thing which already exists, but which hasn't been known because there has been no vibrational substance to accommodate it.

“In generating that vibrational substance we begin to accommodate it, but if we keep reverting back into this business of reaction to what's happening in form, then out we go, we're overboard, we're no longer in the ark. The ark is a vibrational ark, composed of vibrational substance, and we find that it has a very specific design, just as apparently that old wooden ark had back there (at the time of Noah). So we share this opportunity in this moment to be together in the sanctuary which we ourselves bring, where this vibrational substance is present and spirit reigns supreme.”

Bill Bahan — That which Martin has described is exactly what we find occurring in our own experience now. We’ve all been drawn together by spirit to be the means by which the substance of the vibrational ark is generated and maintained.

In the past few weeks I’ve been thinking about what happened at the day of Pentecost and I see a service by Martin on The Great Cosmic Story website this past week [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2022/01/the-essential-core-of-unified-radiation.html] titled The Essential Core Of Unified Radiation, where he speaks about the day of Pentecost. It must have been a profound experience for those who were gathered in the Upper Room with the disciples after the Master’s ascension. The “Upper Room” is very symbolic isn’t it—indicating that there was a certain level of spiritual consciousness that was shared by those who were gathered. There was obviously a tremendous compulsion of spirit that brought them all together—about 120 people it says. I don’t think they had Zoom back then so they were all gathered in one physical location. It’s quite poetic the way it describes their experience in the Book of Acts. Let us consider these words in light of our own experience now: “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost.”

That’s quite an image. Here was the initial development of a core body of individuals who could have provided a focus of spirit for the body of mankind after the Master’s departure. However, they didn’t sustain what had been generated and were scattered abroad—so the whole opportunity was lost.  The Master had told them to, “Tarry in the city of Jerusalem until they were imbued with power from on high.” In other words, remain in the holy place in a state of spiritual consciousness until the holy ghost has fully come and your vison has been clarified.

We know something about the rich generation of heavenly substance when we come together for our Temple of Light services or the Tone of Life conference calls. We can easily relate to what happened in the experience of those who gathered at the day of Pentecost in what could be described as a “generating chamber.” In a sense we could say that this cycle of time in which we’ve been drawn together to generate the substance of the vibrational ark is our day of Pentecost.  

Martin mentioned in the excerpt I read that we find ourselves being drawn together into various configurations of people and we know this to be true. I just mentioned two examples of our regular Zoom gatherings. No one told us that we should be participating in these activities but there is the compulsion of spirit at work that has brought us together to experience what it means to be with one accord in one place, the place of heaven—the vibrational ark. No doubt we each participate in numerous other configurations of people in which there is the opportunity for a greater generation of the substance of heaven, the substance of love. By reason of this substance there is a blending together, the experience of communion and unified radiation, the radiation of love. Isn’t this the experience that many people in the world are longing for? Those who have generated an adequate amount of spiritual substance in their living will resonate with this radiation and find themselves playing their part in the building of the vibrational ark in one way or another. We welcome and enfold all who are drawn in this way.

We see how essential it is that there be a stable core body of individuals who can be counted upon to let the generation of spiritual substance continue and be maintained so that the focus of spirit is always present within the body of mankind. As we know only a collective body can do what needs to be done in these days. I’m very grateful for the awareness that we have of what is coming together now so that we can let the building of the vibrational ark continue.

Millicent Holliday — Well, this is indeed the treasure that moth and rust cannot corrupt. I am so aware that these words today have been like “a bride adorned for her husband”. That beautiful, exquisite, responsive substance that is offered to our Lord. And as the body of the bride becomes more evident, and this is our responsibility, to be the bride. Then she is revealed, and the earth is once again restored, because it is a place where both Father and Mother rightly should abide in union. Then there is safety for every other creature, or creation. I have so loved sharing this time with all of you and thank you all for the beauty which you have offered.

We are not working according to the methods of man, but according to the methods of God, and the same methods outlined by the Master before His ascension have to be put to work now or it is nothing. Peter and Paul were the ones who came mighty close to wrecking the work of Christ on earth. It has taken 1900 years to get to a point where we can start what should have been started then. We have covered a lot of ground. I praise the Lord. When these things are realized we begin to be in position to do something. Until they are realized, the great distinctions between the Right Way and the way that was followed in the days when Peter took the reins cannot be seen, and until they are seen, people are going to go right on making the same mistakes that Peter and the others made. When the other disciples refused to follow through on the plan that Jesus inaugurated and refused to recognize the place of John in the plan, John had to follow the way which Jesus took. If he had not done that, this cycle would not have come. On the Isle of Patmos, he wrote the Book of Revelation and reopened the way for this cycle of manifestation, but if he had not carried through there, and set the pattern, there would not have been any way to build any salvation out of the wreckage that Peter and Paul had wrought. That would have been complete failure. John did speak up but they would not listen, even to the extent of there being no record. Luke wrote the book of Acts, and he furthered the leadership of Peter and Paul. Luke was not even a disciple and yet he wrote one of the Gospels.

The important thing is that you have learned to know Jesus Christ better than the disciples did then. Because John loved Jesus, and because John understood Him, and the rest did not, so those in the School today know Jesus better and understand Him more fully than the disciples did as a whole, and it is not until we know and understand Jesus Christ and recognize what His Life and Ministry meant, and realize that what He said is true: “Lo I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world”—that is, the end of the world of evil—that we understand what the Gospel of the Kingdom was and is. When there is a recognition of Jesus Christ, of Who He is, of what the real Gospel is, of what His Life and teaching is, of what it means to reveal that Gospel as it is in Reality, and of the Way by which that Kingdom that is at hand may come into manifestation for us, then we know the true purpose of Jesus’s Life and Ministry.

It is all done, all accomplished, and all achievement is possible through the Love and Power of Jesus Christ. The honor and glory are His, and while I appreciate recognition of my Ministry, the greatest recognition of it and the most pleasing for me, is the recognition of Him, and the proof that that Ministry means anything is the manifestation of an increased Love for Him.

I wonder if I could convey something to you. It is a little difficult sometimes for human beings to comprehend—and it is certainly difficult to put into words—but when I talk about Jesus and His Life and His Ministry and His teaching, it is not just talking about the Bible. When I say “I”, I am not talking about this outer form which came into manifestation forty years ago. I am talking about that which I Am within the form. “The Father Who dwelleth in me, He doeth the works... The words I speak unto you I speak not of myself.” The reason my Ministry has meaning for those who have ears to hear and eyes to see is because that is just as true of me as it was of Jesus, and only from the standpoint of that Inner Reality, can there be appreciation of what I mean, or what I feel, or what it is I am seeking to convey—that it is not just the words of a human being. Unless there is a recognition of that, as far as that Inner Reality is concerned, no one can realize that I stood there at the cross when He was crucified. I am not talking about a record from the Bible. I am talking about something that I saw, something that I shared and experienced, I am talking about days and months and years of living with Him while He was on earth.

There should begin to be some comprehension of the fact that all that I have done in Ministry is primarily because I love Him—because I want all praise and honor and glory to go to Him. He, the LORD of Lords and KING of Kings, went through that mockery of the trial, and went to the cross under the world’s rejection, and His disciples followed afar off, so that when He was on the cross there was only one disciple there. There was only one disciple standing by Him when He was on the cross, and I was there—and concerning that, after His Resurrection, the third and last time He was with the disciples, He made that statement, “If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me^.”

The only one of the disciples that could bring this, of which the Bible is a record, back into a vivid expression of Reality, was the only one who stood by Him when He was on the cross. When I say these things I am not saying them because it is anything special to me that they be recognized, because it is not. It makes no difference to my Reality, one way or the other. It only means that unless that is recognized, and unless the spirit of that which I am seeking to convey is appreciated from that standpoint, the true reality of the Master cannot be comprehended, the true significance of His life cannot be realized, because it is not just someone talking about it theoretically, someone taking the Bible and reading it and deciding that it means this, that or the other thing. It is something that is. As you have recognized that there is not anyone else on earth who has opened the Bible to you as I have, there must be that recognition that it is only because there is, from the Inner standpoint, a recognition of my sharing that with Him, before there can be a comprehension of what He means to us today, so that what He did will not be in vain.

This portrayal [in John 14, 15, 16 and 17] of what was supposed to be the manifestation of His Body on earth, the means by which He could continue to function on earth in outer form, the means by which the necessary works could be accomplished, cannot be understood just from an intellectual, outer standpoint, or someone’s thinking or reading. There have been brilliant men down through centuries who have had these same passages to read and study. They have gotten certain things out of them, but though they read them and studied them and preached about them, they did not make manifest that fundamental Reality which the Master Himself was seeking to convey to mankind. He came into the world and did these things, and lived among us because He loved humanity, because He loved each man, woman and child upon the face of the earth. He manifested His Love for us in many ways, and when, in the recognition of that Love for us, we learn to really love Him, then we can begin to be a part of His Body on earth, and being a part of His Body on earth in actuality, we can begin to let His Love work through us into the world.

Human beings approaching it from an intellectual standpoint, cannot comprehend that depth of love, let alone let it work through themselves into the world, and unless that love becomes such a living, vital, constant and utterly complete, thing, so that it is that which fills our expression and holds us in oneness with Him, our words will continue to be just words and will accomplish no more than what a lot of other good people have accomplished.

My saying some of these things does not prove that they are true, and yet if my Ministry and my expression of the Word, and my portrayal of Him, do not prove it, I do not know what could. I could not help you to know Him unless I knew Him. It is because I know Him as He was, and as He is, that I can help you to come to know Him. I have outlined these things because there cannot be a true realization of the fact that I know Him unless there begins to be an understanding of these truths, and the more vividly the individual knows that I know Him, the easier will it be for me to introduce the individual to the LORD of Lords, so that each one can know Him, and so that these things can be such vital, living realities in relationship to us right now, no longer separated by two thousand years—something that is just as real and just as vital for us as it possibly could have been for those disciples; and in fact it must be a lot more vital and real than it was for any of those disciples, save one. And unless that vividness can be conveyed to the One Christ Body, so that it is just as real as it was to John, then there is no means whereby this outworking can take place now.

We have got to know Him and love Him. Time, in that sense, has utterly no meaning—because if the Master had ascended yesterday it could have no more meaning than it does. Until we get away from this tendency of thinking of ourselves as being separated from Him by 1900 years, it cannot be done. It must be just as if He had walked every step of the way here with us, or as if we had with Him then, and then the possibilities of fulfilment for us are really greater than they were for the disciples after He returned to the Father. That is why, while I appreciate your recognition of my Ministry, it really makes me feel very uncomfortable when you express so lovingly—and I am not criticizing you for it—unless the praise and honor and glory go to Him. Yes, I know, it goes to Him through me.

I have said these things because I have tried to convey to you how I feel about it

so that you emphasize in those recognitions the love and response to Him.

I am not finding fault, but I am just trying to convey how I feel about it.

Let us remember that mankind is still crucifying Him on the cross of human self-activity in the body and mind, just as surely as they were back then. When we begin to see these things as they really are and we begin to become a part of His Body in that true sense, then we find that as we look into the world of unreality we are all standing at the foot of the cross. We begin to realize that this world is still crucifying Him; and that until we, in oneness, come to stand at the foot of the cross and begin to carry it on from there, as He intended, it is as nothing, because all of the sermons and preachings and everything else that could be accomplished by an intellectual consideration of the Bible, even though the individuals loved God sincerely—all these things—until they transcend time and space and distance, and it is recognized here, we cannot fulfil that in which the disciples failed then. What I am seeking to bring into manifestation as rapidly as possible is to go back to the point before the failures, right back to the foot of the cross, and go from there without regard to any of the rest of it, and unless we can do that, as branches of the One Vine, we are not going to succeed. These are partial truths man has used, and you can work from now till doomsday and get nowhere. We have got to stop trying to build on the cycles that have gone and let the thing come into manifestation the way it should have come into manifestation then, and set new precedents, and once we get that going He will be able to do the works and get it done—but that is the only way.
