Emissary of Divine Light—one who lets the light shine. The life is the light of men. Wherever we may be we are in position to let the light shine. We are present on earth to bring what is described as light into the world. Light is the basis for all things. It might be said of human beings that they are a mechanism by which the light may shine. Unfortunately the mechanism has been used, rather regularly, first of all to dim the light and then to put it out. But it is out of the shining of the light that all things are of which we are aware.

In a recent letter from Bill Bahan he mentioned a man who is a professor of theoretical physics at the University of London. The gentleman's name is David Bohm, Ph.D. “He is a former associate of Albert Einstein and is best known for conceiving the holographic model of the universe.” Now don't let the word holographic stop you. Perhaps some of you know what it would mean in this context but probably most of you don't. Very often words are used which we do not immediately understand. The human habit is to put up a block then and say in effect, “I don't understand.” Wait a minute! Let's find out whether we understand or not. Let us not jump to conclusions. I think this particular word in this particular context will become easily understood as I proceed, provided that you haven't put up a block, that you are ready to understand. When scientific words are used, lay people are inclined to take the attitude that they couldn't possibly understand what is being talked about. But what is being talked about is usually something that is easily understood if one doesn't use scientific words. It is, certainly, in this instance, because we have a basis for understanding. We already have that basis.

So this gentleman is best known for conceiving the holographic model of the universe. Bill continues: “Last year, while in London, I was given one of his books, entitled Wholeness and the Implicate Order. Using scientific terms he has come to some interesting realizations, showing much truth moving in his subconscious. I would quote one of his realizations: ‘The theory, in a nutshell: Our brains mathematically construct “concrete” reality by interpreting frequencies from another dimension, a realm of meaningful, patterned primary reality that transcends time and space. The brain is a hologram, interpreting a holographic universe.’” Maybe he needs to see that there is more to it than the brain, but what he says we should understand. We create our own worlds, what he calls “concrete reality,” the environment around us. In this way of describing the process, the human being is the sensitive mechanism which allows for the interpretation of what he speaks of here as “a realm of meaningful, patterned primary reality that transcends time and space.” He translates that, [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2022/06/translation-of-vibration-into-creation.html] by something comparable to a photographic process, into a three-dimensional holograph. The three-dimensional holograph is the world as we know it. We think of it as being solid, concrete, and it includes the whole universe.

I have described this process in a little different terms. There is a vibrational state of primary reality transcending space and time. Obviously something emerges into space and time. It emerges there because of human beings. There might be a general tendency to say, “Do you mean to say that the universe doesn't exist except by reason of human beings?” Certainly it doesn't exist in the way it does to human beings except by reason of human beings. If a human being wasn't there to make the interpretation, so that the concrete holographic model is there, the universe wouldn't exist that way. It exists in essence as frequencies from another dimension, a realm of meaningful, patterned primary reality that transcends time and space. That exists; that is—that is the reality. But the holographic model of the universe may be said to be the creation of man. It puts in an appearance in the consciousness of human beings that way. You certainly couldn't say that it exists anywhere else but in your own consciousness, could you? You are accustomed to saying, “It's out there; it is so concrete, after all.” But factually it exists nowhere else but in your own consciousness. Man is this sensitive mechanism by which the frequencies from this other dimension may be interpreted to produce what we are aware of. This is the way we see it. It isn't the way it actually is in its original state—it has been interpreted into this three-dimensional hologram, including our own physical forms.

Now this is all very interesting. It certainly indicates that things are not exactly the way they seem. It certainly gives weight to the instruction, “Judge not according to the appearance,” because the appearance may be said to be self-created. We create our own worlds. You have heard that before, haven't you? We create them even to the extent of the concrete nature of those worlds, the concrete reality, as we think of it. We certainly understand that we can create them from the standpoint of the way we see things. Two people looking at a world which is all around them, two people, we will say, close together physically speaking, looking at the world all around them, may see it in totally different ways. One person's world may be filled with sunshine and the other person's world is very gloomy. It is the same world, different interpretations. We recognize that it is the interpretations which have been made by human beings that have produced a concrete reality which is not a true reflection of this realm of meaningful, patterned primary reality that transcends space and time. There is nothing wrong with that realm which transcends space and time; it's just exactly the way it should be. What is wrong is the interpretation that has been made by human beings through their own minds and hearts, so that it has come out a very messy concrete reality.

Obviously it is completely futile to fiddle around with the holograph, which is, after all, merely a reflection of something, a reflection of what is present in the human beings concerned. Now, there is an overall holograph for humanity as a whole and there are individual ones. There are certain aspects of this concrete holographic reality which everybody accepts. But, from my recent observations anyway, there are many other things about which people do not agree. There is an immense amount of conflict, because each person is creating his own particular type of holograph by reason of what is present within himself to distort his interpretation of the perfect reality which is the realm beyond space and time.

I wonder how much the expectation still is amongst emissaries, who are supposed to be the ones who let the light shine, that somehow or other one can manipulate that holograph and all the people in it so as to become—heaven knows what!—better anyway, more satisfactory, more pleasing I suppose. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2019/03/universal-substance-martin-cecil.html] But it isn't a matter of pleasing human beings or making things nice for human beings according to their view of what would be satisfactory to themselves. That is the way of utter futility. It has been the way followed out by human beings for millennia, and we find the holograph to be entirely unsatisfactory, don't we? Well the holograph is only there because of the interpretation of that primary reality that is being made by human beings.

There is sensitive material present in human beings capable, when it's there in sufficient quantity and intensity, of allowing for an exact reproduction of this holographic universe, which puts in an appearance simply and solely by reason of human beings. It isn't there in that way except on the basis of the interpretation of human beings. Most people would find that very hard to swallow. Surely in our own experience we have reached a point where we have sufficient understanding, based in proven experience, that this is the way it works. Maybe it hasn't extended as yet to include the holograph produced collectively by mankind; but we have experience individually of letting our own holographic reproductions, our own worlds, undergo change because we ourselves have undergone change.

If we haven't let the changes come in our own experience, then our worlds will remain very much the same as they were before. But there can be a new heaven and a new earth, a new world, a “new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven,” when there is a sufficient willingness and openness in human minds and hearts to place what is needful in this regard in the primary position. To do that one must withdraw one's futile attempts to make over the holograph. It is absolutely futile. The holograph is simply describable as a photographic reproduction of what one has oneself created. Human minds and hearts are the facility for this creation. This is why, in spite of all the mess that mankind has produced, mankind still exists—because here is the facility for the creation. The creation cannot occur without man. The very fact that the present holographic experience, environmental experience, is of the nature that it is indicates what human beings can do destructively. It has all been created by human beings. There are very few people who would argue about that, taking a look at the world of mankind. But of course if it gets a little beyond that into the world of nature, we will say, or into the solar system perhaps, or beyond that again, there may be the attitude taken, “Well what can human beings do about that?” Well they can make it appear to themselves the way it has been made to appear. It is entirely self-created. It might be said that there isn't any such universe except as a holograph produced through the facility of the minds and hearts of human beings. It could be said that some of the interpretation has in a sense been less distorted than others, because human beings couldn't get their hands on the situation, so to speak. If you get far enough out into the cosmos there is very little that human beings apparently can do about what is happening out there. It doesn't interfere particularly with their self-determinations in the environment here on earth, so it is left alone and remains a fairly accurate holograph of whatever the reality is. Of course human observation is quite restricted, so even the holograph is not understood.

But here we have the obvious means by which all things may be made new; not by some mysterious God somewhere out in space who is going to finger the earth sometime, and human beings—whip them into shape. If that was all that was necessary it would have been done long ago, I am sure. The point is that man is essential to the creative process, and if he refuses to participate in it but tries to make something all on his own, then the truth cannot be known; the beauty, the wonder, the glory, of the true holograph cannot be experienced.

Clearly then, once more we are faced with the necessity of providing the essential substance in which these frequencies from another dimension may emerge undistorted. This is the human habit: people try to do what they want to do, and then when it doesn't work out the way they expect, they look around for somebody to blame. Each individual produces his own state; never anybody else's fault—never, under any circumstances anywhere! One is always producing one's own particular holograph. If you don't like it, don't look around for somebody to blame for it. It is not ever anybody else's fault! We are all responsible people. We all have responsibility for our own lives, for the nature of what it is that characterizes our living. That is the only thing that matters, not that we are going to win popularity contests with other people. Who cares? That's not the point whatsoever. Are we going to be right or not?—that's the only question. That is the only choice. Are we going to be pleasers of ourselves? That's the primary objective with most people, to be pleasers of themselves, and in this endeavor of course it seems to be necessary to be pleasers of other people. We have got to butter other people up so that they are going to please us. What a futile waste of time!

How about allowing the substance of our own lives to be of such a nature that the vibrational factors in this other dimensional realm—it is an undimensional realm in fact—are allowed to emerge? Then the holograph changes. But fiddling around with people, trying to manipulate people, is trying to manipulate the holograph, and it achieves absolutely nothing. It's very slippery, isn't it? We see all the efforts that are going on in the world, trying to straighten out the holograph. It cannot be done, at least not that way, because the holograph is only a reflection. Let what is being reflected change and the holograph changes. “Behold, I make all things new.” It is so simple that it confounds the worldly-wise. Now, we may imagine that we agree. Do we in fact, or is it still a theory?

Incidentally, in connection with what this gentleman has proposed as a theory, this theory of the holographic model of the universe, many scientists—I would presume most—have objected fiercely to these speculations. I think this very fact should indicate that there must be some truth to it. Well, we know what the truth is in this regard already. We really don't need Professor David Bohm, Ph.D., to tell us, but we are delighted to see that it is emerging through the consciousness of this man. Wonderful! He sees it in these particular terms. We see it in a little different terms, more related to the experience of living rather than looking at models of the universe. We see how it is applicable in our own experience and that we, individually and together, are responsible for the world in which we find ourselves. We are responsible for it. We put it there. This is true of human beings the world around: they put it there. We have all put it there, and then the popular sport is to blame everybody else. To be honest is what is required: to be honest, take responsibility for oneself, allow one's own world to be a true reflection of this realm of meaningful patterned primary reality that transcends time and space, because we are not trying to make things be the way we as human beings think they ought to be. That's the way to conflict, isn't it? That's the way to death. Human beings do not know the way things ought to be. The way things ought to be has already been established. Human beings don't have to make it up; they don't have to invent it. We don't have to invent what is required in our own experience in our own worlds. If we are trying to do that, trying to manipulate things so that it works out the way we think it ought to, we are in a bad way, the same as everybody else has been for millennia past, in every generation.

But surely we have awakened to the fact that we are here to let something else happen, something that is not included in the present experience of human beings. There are some good things in the present experience of human beings, so they think, and they are going to hang on to those things desperately, even if it means taking the bad with them. Why be so stupid? Why not let all things be made new, the way they really may be reflected in the holograph all around us? It takes a supreme longing, a supreme love for the truth [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2017/02/the-martin-cecil-april-12-1981-morning.html] to allow this to occur. One can easily bog down in the self-created holograph. One may feel that one is making progress in that self-created holograph: “People are coming around; it's really becoming nicer, you know; I have so many friends.” Do you? There is only one friend, and that is the One out of whom this realm of the meaningful pattern of primary reality comes. When that is acceptable, and characterizes our own experience of living because we are no longer cluttered up with all the human nonsense, we discover the fact of our already existing friends. We do not ever need to make friends; our friends are present. What is needful is that they should be released into the true holograph of our world, and there is only one person who can do that—“me” in each case.

How unwilling most people are ever to let that happen! They would have to give up complaining. What an awful thought! What would life be worth without conflict? without fear? without jealousy? without resentment? What an awful world that would be! We would have nothing to watch on TV. Maybe the TV could go on the garbage pile then, totally unnecessary. That is one two-dimensional holograph, incidentally. We look at the screen, wrapped up in what's going on there; that forms part of our world at least, part of the time. That's very little different from all the rest of the world; something humanly created. Why sustain this appalling holograph which we deem to be concrete reality? But it takes personal individual responsibility of an absolute nature if the changes in the holograph are to come. And no matter how other people look at things, no matter what their ideas are, no matter what their solutions are supposed to be to the problems of the world, pay no attention. Such things mean nothing. The solution is right here in each individual, nowhere else. If the individual doesn't take responsibility nothing happens, except disintegration, destruction. We are here to take responsibility, and it is something that is easily done. The yoke is easy and the burden light in fact. It's a natural thing. Everything that human beings do now is so unnatural. It is such a stressful situation, isn't it? You really have to work at it. We are no longer laboring and heavy laden. If we are laboring and heavy laden we are going the wrong way; we're forcing ourselves into something quite unnatural. There is ease—in the world there is dis-ease, but there is ease available to be experienced, to be known, to be expressed, to be lived, when there is a willingness to relinquish all the involvement with the disease, all the unnatural expression of experience that is known in the human world—that is, in that peculiar holograph.

“Come out of her, my people,” come out of that holograph!—and being what we really are, let that character shine forth, let that be the Light which creates the true holograph. Behold I create; not somebody else; not some omnipotent God standing off in the wings somewhere; but behold, I create. It is one's own personal, individual responsibility. Being accepted, that is the easy yoke and the burden of light. It is the natural thing. What a horrible holograph the environmental world of mankind now is, a self-created holograph which is called the world. It should be easy to relinquish; but you cannot relinquish it for nothing. Something has to take its place, and what takes its place is the beauty of true character springing out of that realm of primary reality beyond space and time.

The Archangel disputes with the devil over the body of mankind, not by railing accusation but by rebuke. It is the body of mankind that is in question, finally. Heretofore it has been the devil’s domain. The identity of mankind has been that of human nature. But now there is a question, finally. The real alternative—the only one—becomes evident, not to the body of mankind at the moment, but to those who are associated with this alternative, which is the One Way. We see the exactness and the intelligence of the LORD in making use of what is moving in the hearts of human beings when they are somewhat open to His Spirit.

There is a setting on this continent particularly (which didn’t arrive from nowhere either) in which the good seed of the Word may grow. Most have not seen this or understood it. How could they? It has only become possible to comprehend it as the seed began to grow. The inalienable rights of man, male and female, are enshrined in the Constitution of the United States—Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. Because human beings are self-centered, they usually look at these things from that standpoint: We need to have life to get the fuller experience of it for ourselves, if we have the self-centered approach; also there is the endeavor to have liberty and to pursue happiness. But these particular words, which have been rather thoroughly mistranslated, can convey the truth if we translate the spirit correctly which was back of them. Life is something to be expressed, to be given: “I am come that they might have life, and have it more abundantly.” We reduce life by trying to increase it for our own benefit. The reality of life becomes known when we express it, when our attitude could be said to be one of giving. Aligned with the LORD, we are here to increase life—not for ourselves, but for the experience of the Body of the Son of God on earth.

Liberty has something to do with the Truth. So there is the Spirit of Life and the Spirit of Truth enshrined in the Constitution. It’s not a matter of getting liberty, getting freedom, but of expressing the Truth. Then there is the experience of freedom. Here again is something being given, something outgoing. When people consider the matter of the pursuit of happiness, they see themselves running after it to try to catch up with it. But those same words could be used in the reversed sense: happiness is pursuing human beings. It’s hot on the heels of human beings, who are so busy running away from it. The word Happiness surely has a relatedness in consciousness to Love. There is no happiness without Love. So the Spirit of Love is included here, not as something to be gotten or to be experienced for oneself alone but to be offered, to be given, to flow, that we may provide a means by which human beings may be pursued by it. Once a person stops pursuing happiness and turns around, he finds that Love is pursuing him or her.

So here in North America was a setting provided to make possible the expression of the Archangel on earth. That expression would become possible to the extent that there were individuals awakening to an awareness of the Spirit of Love, Truth and Life. This setting is brought to a particular focus in the United States, but it is not excluded from other places. It is present in other geographical places on the face of the earth in somewhat different ways. There is the necessity of adjusting to the geographical position, the political situation, etc, in the way that we handle our own affairs. We handle them one way here in the United States, a little different in Canada—not much—but you go to some other countries and it’s quite different. The LORD is very ingenious—He can use most any situation. But we see how the devil’s control hardens as one moves away from the setting where the true experience described by the words “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” is present. We have various areas on the face of the earth where the devil’s rule is much more evident. And certainly he is present right here. But the opportunity and the setting which opens the way most easily for human awakening in the actual experience of people, to the spirit of God in action, is obviously more in some places than in others. We are richly blessed because we live in a setting on the face of the earth where it is the easiest place possible, amidst the devil’s wiles. Woe unto us and others if we do not take advantage of it.

Something has begun to emerge so that right translation could begin to be made of Spirit, and we have shared in this in whatever measure. I think we have been a bit flabby. We haven’t really been on the ball because of this idea that, well, it’s all working out right anyway. We may begin to see that it certainly isn’t working all right insofar as the vast majority of the population of the earth is concerned. The western cult has tended to insulate those who belong to it from the rest of the world. There was a wall around it, and you could hear a few faint cries from the other side. We ourselves see that what has been done has been done on the basis of the human nature approach and therefore it isn’t really capable of changing anything very much. It may alleviate some suffering here or there, but then it increases someplace else. Chickens have a habit of coming home to roost, one way or another.

So we have seen more clearly our own responsibility, and we are aware that only in the assumption of that responsibility do we come out of the cult state. Maybe it would be more descriptive, more understandable, if the fallen state was referred to as the cult state, because that is exactly what it is. And while there are many people who attempt to place what we are about in the cult category—and those people were not only the ones who were disassociated from what we were about, but some of those who were supposed to be associated with it have behaved as though it is a cult, because every refusal to accept personal responsibility is a determination to establish a cult. And we in our experience have found at times this endeavor to be strong—I know I have—that people have been trying to make a cult out of what we are doing: those who are associated with it, as well as those who were beyond it. That would defeat what we are here to do—which can only be done on the basis of the fact that all concerned have come to the point where they are capable of taking spiritual responsibility in their own living.

This does not scatter people abroad, because taking spiritual responsibility reveals the fact that we are all part of One Body and we all take responsibility in that One Body, just as all the parts of our physical body take responsibility for what they are supposed to be doing. If the parts of our physical body didn’t, how long would we last? And if one part of the body said, “Well, I’m tired of doing this; I would prefer to do whatever it is some other part of the body is doing,” and if everybody wanted to be the heart, where would the body be? Dead. So taking responsibility brings us into position in the Body, not because somebody said, “That’s your position; go into it and do it,” but because we ourselves took responsibility and found that that was so. When we actually do that, we can never duck out. There’s been a great deal of ducking out, one way or another. It’s sometimes been dressed up in pretty clothes. Sometimes it’s been described in terms of “Well, it’s an increased ministry that I’m going to be doing,” but in all too many cases it wasn’t that at all. The individual was still deceived and imagining, still ducking out from taking actual responsibility rather than imaginary responsibility, because the imaginary responsibility is usually someplace else, isn’t it? It may also be close at hand, when there are “ifs” in the situation: “If such-and-such was the case, then right here I could really serve.” When we accept spiritual responsibility it doesn’t matter where we are.

Accepting spiritual responsibility we may find that we move from here to there. In the cult state, some people consider themselves to be homebodies; others are trippers. We are not interested in the cult state, so it doesn’t depend upon our human nature background, our earthly hereditary, as to what we do at all. The LORD may use earthly hereditary to advantage on occasion, yes, and presumably we emerge out of whatever our earthly hereditary is so that we might do what we are required to do now. And that in fact never has been any hindrance. It only became a hindrance if we made it so ourselves. From the LORD’s standpoint, it prepared everything just perfectly: “Come along! This is the way it is set up!” And if we move with it, we find that it is just perfect. But if we keep bucking it we remain in bondage. Now we begin to see the Spirit behind the words of that Constitution, referred to as the Inalienable Rights of Man. That is righteousness—not something that can be claimed humanly speaking but something that is known when it is expressed, and that is righteousness. When Life, Truth and Love characterize our expression that expression is righteous. And we know the reality of life then, and freedom and happiness—not because we pursued it but because it caught up with us. Then we share it.

Now we see in the larger picture in the world how the devil has had his way heretofore and the body of mankind has suffered. Oh how it has suffered! That suffering comes to those individuals who compose that body. Is it not to be expected that somewhere along the way the LORD says, “That’s enough”? As it was put, it repented the Lord that He had made man. And what man is in this cultic state is brought to focus in the various areas of cultic leadership. The devil has many heads—the great red dragon had many heads; the beast had many heads.

Our concern is that the Archangel should be incarnate on earth

to dispute with the devil over the body of mankind.

While the body of mankind is tarred with the human nature brush all the way through, the primary human nature responsibility rests upon those who are offering leadership in that body. We begin to become aware of how it is we rebuke the world. This is entirely different to what would be done from the standpoint of the cultic approach. The cultic approach builds up its armaments and gets ready for a real hassle; it brings railing accusation; it tries to run the devil out on a rail. But of course the devil is on both sides of a battle! So nothing is ever accomplished in that fashion.

“The Lord rebuke thee.” We have perhaps seen a little of this from the standpoint of our own personal experience in assuming spiritual responsibility for ourselves. There has been the need to face up to various things that were present in ourselves that we had likely been accusing others of. If you are in the business of accusing other people of things, you may know that what you are accusing them of is in you every time. When you reach a point where you are not accusing other people, then you can begin to see what may be present in them that is the fact and is not merely a reflection of what is present in you. So we are discovering the nature of the rebuke: “The Lord rebuke thee.” It has been a very little thing so far, a small, personal thing. But unless we have undertaken to let it be there first we can never know what it is that is required from the standpoint of the Archangel. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2022/06/spirit-and-body-of-archangel.html] The Archangel must have a Body in which all that needs to be rebuked has been rebuked. Then it is clear. Then the rebuke could be carried further in an effective way. But as long as we are just fiddling around with the little nonsense that still goes on in ourselves, there is nothing for the Archangel to work through. There has been all this occurring, hasn’t there?

I speak these words now as a translation of Spirit, the creative power of which is capable of rebuking all that needs to be rebuked that may still be present, brought here by all who are present. This is so if there is a willingness to let it happen. But if one tends smugly to hang on to one’s little human nature cultic state, then the power of Spirit will do something else, won’t it? It won’t uplift. Now we see these things if we stand where we belong, without any emotional involvement with them. That’s the way it works. We know it’s the way it works. We have known for a long time it’s the way it works. Why be surprised if it has to work here now, so that we may find ourselves in position to provide what is necessary to the Lord by reason of this Assembly. It is the only reason that anyone is here—for this—insofar as I am concerned. Maybe you didn’t know it, but now you do. 

Assembly is not just a post-graduate course where one can sit back comfortably in the university surroundings and feel safe—and flabby. We are out of that! We are somewhere else, and what holds us in that old cultic situation must depart. It doesn’t depart merely because there is the strong current of the Spirit pushing it out, because if that was all that were to happen, everybody would leave, would be pushed out. It is dissolved because there is strong movement with the strong current of the Spirit, and that is the creative action with which we are concerned. And this is the creative action that offers what is needful to rebuke the world. Of course in reaching the world it is going to touch many people who have been consciously associated with what we are now about, some of them for many years, some more recently. And the Lord is mindful of the opportunities that people have had in a direct sense. He doesn’t expect more from anyone than they are capable of allowing to happen. You wouldn’t be here present in the Assembly if you were not capable of allowing something to happen that you have not allowed to happen thus far. I think that fact needs to be clearly recognized, because this is the recognition of the Angel who you are. The Angel who you are has not been fooled by all your cultic antics at all. He knows what is there; you know what is there. Increasingly, you know what is there, don’t you? We all do. We cannot hide behind ignorance anymore. We see ignorance as being what it is: just an ignoring of what we know. And on this new basis something happens. We have the dispute—it has been in progress for a while, by the way—but we see that we are responsible for the rebuke. And if we offer the rebuke beyond ourselves, we will be pulverized if there is any necessity for rebuke in ourselves.

 

The Lord has been very patient and very careful over many, many years. You might remember that when He himself was incarnate on earth, He didn’t have that much time, and neither did those who were associated with Him. How many of you have been associated with this ministry more than three-and-a-half years? How much nonsensical fiddling around there has been, really. There is not a chance for that anymore. Can we praise the Lord that it is so? I trust we can, because then He begins to have something through which to work on earth.

The devil has been busy gathering together his cohorts and forces, with the expectation of triumph. Mind you, most of the people who are in the position of human nature leadership in the world don’t comprehend what is going on. Moving to another vibratory level we see that there is no need to resist it in the sense of struggling with it or getting into a battle with it. We know from our own experience in the past, when we’ve been struggling with all these things that we’ve been endeavoring to clear in ourselves, it didn’t work. All we did was to strengthen those things which should pass away. I trust we’ve got way beyond that now. You don’t struggle that way anymore. You just simply are concerned to let what is right find expression. Everything else takes care of itself. Now it sounds very simple, but of course you are aware of the fact that you have this situation coming up and that situation coming up, and this person to deal with and that person to deal with, and all this. And because of this perhaps you may deny the Lord, inadvertently even, and discover yourself in confusion: “Well how on earth can I handle this!?” You can’t. Only the Spirit of God can handle it. And we must have a constant and keen awareness of the reality of this in our own living expression. The only way we can have that is by letting it be constant and consistent. It’s not something we can just pick up like a weapon when we are threatened.

Here is the irresistible force, which requires an immovable object on earth if it is to operate on earth. The irresistible force and the immovable object are looked upon sometimes as being in conflict. What would happen if they met? They won’t. They are complementary. And it is by reason of these that creation occurs. When we align ourselves with these we provide an immovable object at this level, and the irresistible force has something from which to proceed. Proceeding from the immovable object, it’s not going to push the immovable object out of the picture. If the object is movable, if we are movable, then we get pushed out of the picture when the irresistible force begins to work. But there always is something that doesn’t get pushed out of the picture; otherwise there couldn’t be an irresistible force, and there is. There must be something from which that irresistible force proceeds which cannot be moved. Everything else can be moved.

So here is a force available to do what needs to be done when we are aligned with it. We are aligned with it when the dispute is over insofar as we are concerned. How much dispute is still going on in your own experience? Well, we can let it dissolve in this setting. Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness are all here, and we let the spirit of Love, Truth and Life be translated correctly in our own experience. Then we are on hand with the Archangel to dispute over the body of mankind. As I say, this dispute has been going on for a while, in a very obvious sense insofar as we are concerned. It has actually been going on ever since the Master was on earth but it has come out into the open to this extent because we are in position to experience it; there has been sufficient rebuke in us, sufficient disposition of the dispute.

The great red dragon is very ponderous. The Archangel is very agile, leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills. There is no place where he could be trapped by the great red dragon. As we begin to become aware of this in our own experience of living, fear is cast out. Now fear is still a factor in our experience. It shouldn’t be a controlling factor. It will be a factor in our experience as long as fear remains in the consciousness of mankind. We are aware of fear; we have an association with that consciousness, so we know about it. But fear is cast out in our own personal experience to the extent that the Spirit of God is in action and is being translated correctly. The Spirit of God includes the Spirit of Love, and Love casts out all fear. We see and we understand what’s going on. We have a facility here, a physical form, with a certain mental capacity, a certain ability to feel, to sense, to comprehend beyond the physical and the mental. And this is an instrument in our hands, which is to be used rightly in this dispute—righteousness. Right use is described by the word “rebuke”: to rebuke the world. Of course we rebuke it in our own awareness, in our own attitude toward what it is that is happening. We have no use for the dragon. To the eyes of the Lord he is nothing.

But still there is the body of mankind here, over which the dispute is going on, as to who shall possess that body, whether it will be restored as Man to the LORD or whether the devil will possess and it will die, it will be eliminated, it will be dissolved. That’s the question actually. That’s the dispute. Of course the devil doesn’t realize this. He thinks that if he gets hold of the body of mankind he’ll have it made. But he himself has written his own death warrant. It comes to the point where, if he possesses the body of mankind, there is no more expansion. Kaput! So there is an end to the devil either way. The devil ceases to be anything when he has no body. Well, if the body of mankind becomes again the body of Man, the devil ceases to exist. The union of God and man is all that is necessary to dissolve the devil, because the devil only existed in the consciousness of human beings who were not One with God. We may understand this now. He may cease to exist to us now, even though we may observe the fact that he hasn’t yet ceased to exist to most people. But to the extent that there is union between the Spirit of God and what we are in the external sense, the devil is gone. Personally there is nothing more to dispute with. [greatcosmicstory.blogspot.com/2018/01/from-thou-shalt-bear-true-witness.html] On this basis then, we are in position to share the Archangel’s action in disputing over the body of mankind beyond us, so that there may come a point when the consciousness of all remaining people no longer includes a sense of separateness from God. Union with God is the restoration. Then there is Man once again.

We have the opportunity now of allowing the experience of Man restored to be our own experience in this setting at this time. This experience obviously is not the ultimate experience which mankind may know; but it is our experience that makes possible the experience for mankind. If we sit around sloppily, hoping that something will happen to cause mankind to be restored, we will have done absolutely nothing to cause it to happen. What causes it to happen is that there are those who share in the experience first, and who share in it in the sense of the reality of it—which has always been available to be experienced but which does not yet include the whole of mankind. And we are content to be associated with mankind at this level in order to bring the salvation. The Master said that He didn’t come into the world to condemn the world but to save it. If we follow Him, that is what we are here for exactly, but it cannot be done except there is the assumption of the spiritual responsibility which makes it possible. And this must be an individual matter, as He so beautifully demonstrated. He didn’t say, “Well it has to be all of these disciples as well.” He said, in fact, it can be done simply by reason of me. And what we are experiencing springs from that fact. What power there is in the individual acceptance of spiritual responsibility.

Our Divine And Cosmic Identity  Volume 3  Chapter 31

Here is the first verse of Psalm 91: “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Abide in the Secret Place of the Most High. There are several possible interpretations of that place. It might be seen as the highest vibratory rate in the dimensional universe. Or the Most High place could be the place from whence comes the highest quality of spiritual expression, of Character. It is safe to say that the true power and scope of this place is largely secret to human beings now. We can only awaken to a consciousness of this place if we consistently express the qualities of the Most High. The Most High place shouldn’t be a secret. It should be revealed through Man, through us. When it is consistently expressed through us, we begin to realize that this place of the Most High is in fact everywhere. Indeed, this Most High place should be seen through Man’s consciousness as being present throughout the whole Cosmos.

This Holy Presence is perhaps most easily seen by us as the Life current moving through other people, and also through animals. Most of us have had pets, and I’m sure we’ve become aware that this current of Life moving through them is sacred. It is an aspect of the Spirit of Life itself. To a less dramatic extent to our consciousness, the current is also present through vegetation. We gradually awaken to the truth that the secret and sacred place is indeed everywhere—in everything, everywhere.

Perhaps we occasionally find ourselves bored—maybe with the people we know, or maybe with our circumstances. We often seem to do the same things day after day. Well, we might know that there are always new levels, vibrationally speaking, in which we can interact with the people and the circumstances of which we are aware. If we begin to see and do this, life begins to be a process of ascension, a ceaseless adventure of discovery and creativity. As we refine the quality of our expression, we generate finer spiritual substance within ourselves, and we may begin to be more aware of the bands of vibrational substance above the physical and the mental levels, of which human beings, ourselves included, have been largely unconscious. In these finer bands of substance, Spirit is ceaselessly moving. The Divine technology is moving in these levels. If we express the true Tone of Being, then we participate in what Spirit, the Archangel, is doing in a coordinated fashion everywhere simultaneously.

Focused in these higher levels, above the physical and above the mental, we are not seeking to draw people physically together in a large group, or into what has been called a spiritual body. There is no need to do this, because as we express our aspect of the One Spirit that is doing everything, we are moving in conjunction with the Life current moving through everyone, and everything, everywhere. We are already in the One Body and it is being activated by the One Spirit.

Every person has a Secret Place of the Most High within themselves. The full nature of this place is obviously hidden from the fallen human mind. In its present depleted condition, the mind couldn’t even understand what that state is. It could not be fully comprehended. In each of us it is the place of our deepest sense of beauty, our deepest sense of love, and our deepest sense of meaning. To whatever extent we are able, we should let this Secret Place take as much form as possible, moment by moment. In this way we reveal it to our outer minds—and we reveal it to others. Whether they actually see it or not is, of course, another matter.

Today, people’s “highest” often resides in other values—perhaps in earthly forms, positions or activities. But it is not usually in Character. However, we can discern the place of the Most High even in these earthly forms, positions and activities, because there is an essence, a shred of this Highest place, in everyone and in everything they do. Pure Spirit is at the core of everything, albeit we may have to have considerable discernment to see it. But it is there. So we look for that and enhance it, at least within ourselves and, where possible, externally.

There is something interesting to consider in this regard, even with respect to so-called death. One wouldn’t think there was much to be cheerful about in considering that! In such a consideration we are certainly not trying to evoke any fear, or love of death, but we are, as always, concerned with coming through to the conscious experience of true Identity. Our personal consciousnesses are connected intimately with the mass consciousness of mankind, so invariably there is trepidation when this subject is considered. We are not so much concerned with life after death. We are concerned with service now. This is where we are. This is where our creativity is required to find expression and use in the Archangelic Body.

As life is now on Earth, there seems to be no other route out of the Earth except through the portal of dissolution. The human consciousness looks out and sees this process in every form that it can observe throughout the whole Cosmos. Now, some spiritually minded people aspire to ascension rather than to death. Either way, the individual leaves this sphere of things and this experience of life as it has been known. However, there is a difference. First of all, by either way of departure, the human ego ceases to exist. In the ascension process (which is still making an exit from this world), if there has been a generation of fine substance in living and identification has moved somewhat into true Identity and the quality of that, then ascension is merely a continuation of that path of experience. If one’s identity has been thoroughly embedded in human nature, then the transition would be experienced as much more abrupt. Nevertheless, the Angel is eternal. Our concern is with how to move through such a transition—and not merely for ourselves, as we shall see.

It is not enough, apparently, to proclaim Identity in Life, to say, “I Am an expression of Life, the one animating Power of the Cosmos, through this little pile of dust.” Of course, this is true of you too, and of everyone. Even though this fact must be self-evident, the human consciousness has been so mis-educated and mis-conditioned that it cannot even appreciate this blatantly obvious fact. “I Am,” we may each say, “an expression of the one Power animating everything everywhere. Any limitations that I exhibit (and there are plenty) are limitations in the form through which I am expressing myself.”

Everything we say or consider is rightly part of a reconditioning process of the outer consciousness. We are not trying to make anyone think about old age or death before their time, but are considering the challenges and opportunities of older years. As we know from experience, there are ages and stages in life. Each one of them is designed to be delightful. Surely we have had enough delightful experiences in different ages and stages to see the potential inherent in the design of Life. It should be no great stretch of the imagination to perceive the intention of Life. It is very important that we appreciate what Life intended through its perfect design. Life was to be a delightful experience from the beginning, during it, and at the end. We appreciate that this design has been messed up, so the experience has been messed up. But there is something to be done, to be experienced, and to be contributed in every age and stage of life. These contributions are holographic contributions to the larger Archangelic Body, through differently aged cells in that Body. Other people may not be aware of the holographic effect of their living. However, those who perhaps unconsciously express integrity, the Tone, are making their contribution. Each stage has its own creative opportunities and responsibilities. Those who are coming into their more “senior generations” have a very special opportunity in the world today.

As we’ve considered on several occasions, the planet is in a process of multidimensional reintegration into the Divine Design. Human nature is to be shed, one way or another. This obviously applies to both the young and the old—to everyone in the Archangelic Body. In these days we are approaching the climax of the fallen human state. It will be resolved. We can observe in the world that the human race is beginning to face physical, ecological disease, and perhaps extinction. This process, naturally enough perhaps, evokes emotional discomfort, with anxiety and fear, as never before. Holographically, the senior generations face the same process personally. So never has the Earth’s condition and transitional process ever had such an apt focus within itself as it has now with the elderly—and herein lies the opportunity for their greatest service.

Personally thinking about this transitional process is not a self-centered aberration, because we are in fact considering a universal experience. The question is, how does true Identity engage in this process of transition? Well, Identity must come into subjective “I Am.” No matter what is transpiring externally in one’s own body, or the body of mankind, or the body of the planet, keep conscious Identity centered in who I Am—and express that quality in the midst of every situation. We may be assured that human nature and its assumed identity will pass away, and that our own human-nature experience of fear, anxiety, resistance to change, is a miniature of what is gaining momentum in the larger Body. We can help ease this transition by our own process and attitude, which is “I Am an aspect of the universal flow of Life, of Being. What I do affects the Whole.” What greater spiritual work could we be presented with? It is wonderful! One of our greatest achievements and contributions will be to help the human consciousness bridge the gap between its present, transitory experience—to Identity in Eternal Being.

Well you may say that all this is merely a rationalization about death. Yes, it is. It is bringing rational thought to the process. If we have lived adequately in the current of Life, we know something of its nature as it has operated in our experience in the Design. We have known and now know, therefore, the thrilling and reliable nature of Life. We therefore have much confidence—and that is a word for the outer mind, which needs confidence, needs trust. We are establishing that within our own consciousness. We have already experienced a life cycle composed of experiences of delight, challenge, adventure and fulfillment. So we know the nature of Life, and we know the ongoing certainty back of the transition process out of this cycle of incarnation.

There is more than this rational view, however. There have been human beliefs in “life after death,” as it is called. Concepts and theories about heaven depended upon where the person lived, but all such images are distorted anyway. However, the point here is that there is an inherent subconscious awareness in human beings of Identity in Eternal Being.

So we may reflect again upon the joys we have known, knowing that the intention of Life is delight and that this is still possible, even in this fallen state. But this intention has been messed up, and we too have contributed to this messed-up experience. After a lifetime of deft guidance by the Spirit, do we yet lack confidence? It might be said to our outer minds, “O ye of little faith!” So we are concerned with the ascension process—ascension of our outer consciousness into an awareness of true Identity, and wakening to the fact that this is a never-ending process. The cycle in Being is always from glory unto glory. The subject of death, or ascension, is not a morbid topic. Every stage that we’ve experienced in this life cycle has died, hasn’t it? We died as children; we died as teenagers. Stage by stage passes away. In its place emerges the opportunity for a fuller experience of our Selves, and a greater opportunity to contribute into the magnificent Design of Eternal Being.

Literal  Light

The human mind is the means by which the light may shine. We have spoken of Lucifer, the light-bearer. The transparent mind allows the already existing angelic light to shine through. The mind is not an entity of itself, as it tries to be in the human state. Trying to be an entity of itself, it becomes satan; it lands up in darkness. The state of the human mind, in the peoples of the world as we now know it, is darkened. The light is still present—we're still alive—but the light shines in the darkness and the darkness comprehends it not. We are aware of this state, the state where there is a separation between the heaven and the earth of the individual human being. That separation has taken place because satan, the darkened mind, has usurped the position of the true identity, which isn't Lucifer but is revealed by the fact of Lucifer's presence, because Lucifer is the light-bearer, the identity-bearer. It makes possible the experience of the true identity.

Let your light so shine. It is a spiritual light, in which case it probably seems to be incomprehensible light. But heaven and earth are one; so what is deemed to be spiritual light has its counterpart in the earth, which could be said to be literal light. The evidence of the truth of Man is in the light.

This physical form is something of a burden, isn't it? We have to lug it around. Some of us are more sprightly than others, more agile, but it becomes a more evident burden as one grows older. It's a heavy load of flesh to pack around! This is a form which has enabled the continued existence of potential Man on earth. It is useful because of this. But to become the form of Man it must be filled with light. “If thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light”—literal light. They say that light weighs a little, but not much. It's very light! And if the composition of human expression in living is light, the body becomes light. Here we see something of a transformation, even transmutation, to occur. Man is more than one person. So the light relates to more than one person. Man is composed of a body of individuals, and the form of that body is made up of the individuals who compose it. That body is properly the light in expression, the radiant light made manifest. This is something very different to this heavy clod of flesh. Where to start to let the restoration come? We know where to start, because we have started. The question is of no interest any longer. Emissaries of Divine Light: a form composed of individuals through whom the light shines.

The light shines through the form of EDL to the extent that it is shining through the forms of those who compose the form, those individual forms that are drawn together to compose it. The shining of the light relates to that form. The transformation relates to that form. Obviously it relates to the individuals who compose that form, but it doesn't happen merely for this individual and that individual. It occurs because there is a form. Because there is such a form there is a facility through which the light may shine. But then we come back to the individual, because the extent to which it is shining is dependent upon the extent to which it is shining through each individual. As we have recognized before, the sum of the light—in this instance, light shining through these individuals—is not the total light shining through the form of EDL. That is far more. We have seen this from the standpoint of putting two people together, a man and a woman for instance. Each has an ability to reveal and express and radiate the light, to whatever extent. If you add one and one together, we find more than two. This is a new math! Properly there are at least three: there are the two who are together and there is the new state that comes because they are together. So one and one make three.

This just illustrates something. The composition of the body, the form, provides a facility which can radiate far more light than the sum of all the light of the individuals who compose the body of EDL, and because that is far more, it enhances the individual expression of light. We begin to find something happening exponentially here, but it only comes because, individually, responsibility is being taken for letting the light shine to the extent that it may now do so. Then that extent of light, put together collectively, is found to be far more than the mere sum of the individual light. This is indication of how rapidly transformation can occur. We ourselves as individuals simply keep it from occurring, if it doesn't occur. We have known the fact of our own individual responsibility. We may see it now in terms of letting the light shine.

We find that there are variations in the shining of the light. We may take what is occurring now as an example. My responsibility is of a particular nature which will permit an intensification of the light to shine by reason of my radiant expression. This is very different to what may occur in conversation during the day. As Uranda put it one time, the sun rises, and there is day; there is a bright intensity of radiation for whatever period of time is necessary for that. And then the sun sets. But the Morning Star is still there. In fact when the sun is shining the Morning Star can't be seen, but when the sun sets the Morning Star is right there. Lucifer is always on hand, but he is the light-bearer. He doesn't bear a flaming torch which is always the same intensity. He bears whatever light is necessary in the particular circumstance of the moment. And there is a variation in the intensity of that light, but it is always the same light. It's not some sort of strange extraneous light coming in on special occasions. No, it's the same light, but there are pulsations in the creative process, and it shines with the intensity that is necessary in the moment. At least this is the intent, unless we block it.

So we are very much aware of the real nature of our responsibility mentally. The light determines what is thought. The light determines what is said and what is done. Here is the process of creation. Creation comes through thought. It has continued to come through the thoughts of human beings in this fallen condition, but very sluggishly. It takes a great deal of the sweat of the brow to get anything done. We all know that, in this human state. We've struggled with it and exhausted ourselves at the business. But where the thought which moves through the mind is not generated by the mind but is generated by the light, it's easy and there is a natural flow. And all creation has occurred on this basis within the range of the responsibility of man. It would be very risky, wouldn't it, if presently your thoughts during a day were immediately to take form! So it's useful that a certain sluggishness has put in an appearance. But they do take form after a while, and they come back to haunt us. What a wretched state.

How wonderful to have the mind transparent so that the fitting light of the moment may be born, the fitting thought of the moment may be born—not generated because one is thinking so desperately, as human beings do in an endeavor to control all their circumstances, but the thought which is the creative thought coming down from God out of heaven into the earth. How? Through the mind. That's what it's for—not to do its own thinking and to mess things up constantly on that basis, but to become transparent so that the light may be born. The light may be carried, yes, but also born into expression, and the first expression comes through thought. There is something which precedes the thought, mind you, but the first awareness that one may have of what it is that is moving comes through conscious thought. Conscious thought is controlled thought, controlled by the design in heaven, controlled angelically. That thought may safely take form, and it will do so. I'm sure you have found already that when there is that thought, what is thought very quickly takes form. The world is transformed on this basis, not by manipulation either mental or physical but by the flow of creative thought out of heaven into the earth by reason of a transparent mind. The transparency of mind cuts human beings down to size. The usual view is that value comes because a mind is very capable of generating its own thoughts. But that all dissolves, and there is a totally new state, a new heaven. Out of the new heaven the new earth springs, and the basis of that coming forth is the flow that occurs through the transparent mind. I most thankfully share these thoughts with you now, that we may all be willing to let the light shine.

The light shines and, in the shining, transforms. Creation occurs by reason of the shining of the light. Re-creation occurs in this way. Insofar as human beings are concerned, the only way that there may be participation in creation is when the facility for the shining of the light is available to that shining. And the facility is the human mind, not merely the conscious mind but the unconscious mind as well. The light is apparent consciously, and it transforms by reason of the radiation. We are familiar with the process: radiation, response, attraction, union, unified radiation. This is a mental description of something which happens continuously when the mind is in place to let it do so. There is radiation and there is consequent transformation.

It is not only what may be deemed to be spiritual light, but it is literal light also. When the light shines, the flesh is revealing of it and is transformed by it. But, as we have recognized in our consideration this morning, it is not possible for it to occur individually without it at the same time occurring collectively. The collective shining of the light is what clarifies and restores the flesh to the point where the light may be intensified so that the transformation occurs. However, the flesh is the last along the line. The light only comes to the flesh because there is a transparent mind, and it is the transparent collective mind that permits the intensity of radiant light to be of such power that the very flesh may be transformed. All these things work in the creative process, if we trust the creative process and let it work. Moving together in the assumption of individual responsibility for the light, the fulfillment comes.

The importance of the light may be easily seen. Mention was made of loving the light, which is what is essential. If you love darkness more than you love the light, well you'll stay in the dark. But loving the light implies loving the Word, the illuminating Word. This has always been stressed, hasn't it? Finally there are those who suddenly seem to have become aware of the vital nature of the Word, not of the printed form in and of itself but of the radiance which is made available in this way. It's made available in other ways too, and it's made available rightly through each of us and all of us continually. But to appreciate the light and to know the nature of it, it must be loved, certainly, above all else. In the light is the one identity, the One I am. So there is natural love for the light and consequently a delight to bathe oneself in it, because thereby it is found that as the substance of one's own external being resonates with the light, it is resonating with one's own true identity. And one's own true identity consequently emerges. It can never emerge except by reason of the light, because that's what it is. And in the radiance of the light the truth is known: “I am the door. I am the open door.”
