Giving Glory To Father God And Mother God

Giving  Glory  To  Father  God  And  Mother  God

Responsibility For Consistent Radiation

Martin Exeter  November 16, 1986 p.m.

That focus of womanhood, which is the responsibility of each lady who awakens to it, rises up from the earth. There is One Spirit, which works in its positive and negative aspects according to the design of life itself. Woman provides a focus of the spirit of this earth which rises up through her as she is willing to embody it. This is the Spirit of Mother God. Man brings to focus the positive Spirit of Father God. The Spirit of Father God may be seen as coming down from above, just as the Spirit of Mother God rises up from below—it is One Spirit. This One Spirit comes to its natural focus in male and female MAN. It is fused once again into the outpouring radiance of the Spirit of the Living God. The Spirit of Father God and Mother God are inseparable. That inseparability is rightly revealed in its focused expression through MAN. The Spirit of Mother God yields naturally to the Spirit of Father God. The fusion takes place and the light shines, radiation pours forth. This has been described by using the words “Emissary of Divine Light.”

Mankind has denied both Father God and Mother God, denied the presence of these two unified aspects of being. We find ourselves coming again to the experience of acknowledgment of these two aspects of being, brought to focus in our own individual living. For this to occur the creative process must proceed according to the design of it. The design is present. We speak of it as the creative process. It opens the door for participation in the design, of all those who are willing to do so, both male and female.

There are many things which we experience day by day, as is the fact for human beings everywhere. All that is experienced by everyone relates to this creative process by which those who are willing may be drawn into the Divine Design. The drawing power works on the basis of the positive focus of spirit, represented by the one who comes in the Name of the Lord. I say “one,” not to indicate that this one is just one person, although obviously there is a focus point within the larger focus which would include others.

There is a focus point provided through man for Father God and through woman for Mother God. It is this provision of the positive and negative focus which makes the radiation of light possible.

Provision has obviously been made for a particular individual focus with respect to Father God and with respect to Mother God. As there are those who acknowledge this in their own experience the focus of Father God and Mother God, in male and female form, expands. Obviously, to participate in this process there has to be respect and love for the focus points which initiate this process. There has been evidence of respect and love in this regard, but at the same time there has been some concern in many for the greater experience of closeness. How shall this drawing close be known? Obviously, you have already let something of this occur within your own experience, but there is no technique available which anyone can use to draw close so as to come to the point of participating in unified radiation. Closeness comes as there is communion. Communion is not the same thing as communication.

We have a provision within this Body by which the pulsations of spirit may be released to be received, accepted and expressed by all who share responsibility for giving form to this body. This provision comes to a particular focus in our services. In order to allow for this provision to be more widespread, various ways have been developed to make this possible—videotapes, transcriptions of the services, mailings which are regularly released throughout the body. One might look upon these things as a technique. Some have attempted to use these things as a technique to maintain one’s connection and therefore the opportunity to find the meaning of the word “communion,” the opportunity to draw close.

You may recall that one of the beatitudes related to this matter: “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” We were speaking about absences, emptinesses, holes, which need to be filled. The only way by which these can be filled is on the basis of the hungering and thirsting of at least some men and women. For some there is an awareness of being hungry and thirsty, so that those concerned probably were looking here and looking there to find they knew not what. Others were not so aware of their hunger and thirst, even though they were hungry and thirsty but didn’t know it. Such became aware of their hungering and thirsting when the essential genuine food was provided. Then the strength and depth of that hungering and thirsting would become very apparent. The fact of the spiritual food made it so. And because of that hungering and thirsting, anything would be done to make sure that this food and drink was received.

It is well described as hungering and thirsting; that would be after food and drink. This food and drink requires a person with a yielded heart and an open mind. Such receive the spiritual food, which is available through these various forms that I have mentioned, into themselves. If you are provided with a meal of some kind and you are hungry, and some drink also is available and you are thirsty, I doubt if you would sit just looking at it, examining it carefully. What you would do would be to eat the food, and drink whatever the liquid was—receive it into yourself so that it became a part of you. Here is what happens when there is real hungering and thirsting. One can’t avoid eating and drinking. And if you eat and drink, factually what you eat and drink becomes a part of your own physical form, your own heart, your own mind, and consequently becomes your own life. It becomes what you are. Here is the way by which the Emissary of Divine Light puts in an appearance. It has been very difficult for anyone to put their finger on what was represented by an Emissary of Divine Light. It is the fact that no one can put their finger on it that gives indication of its genuineness—nobody can grasp it, nobody can get bold of it, nobody can bend it to their own wills.

If we are really hungry we are compelled to eat, and if we are really thirsty we are compelled to drink. There is no question for a person who is starving, as to whether he will receive food or not, or to someone who is dying of thirst whether he will receive drink or not. Here is that compulsion which supersedes choice. Each individual will know for him- or herself the extent of their own hungering and thirsting. Do you think hungering and thirsting is a one-shot deal, just something you did back along the way? You ate a meal once or twice and then, “Ah! I know all about eating and drinking now; I don’t need any more.” I don’t think any of us would take that attitude toward our daily bread.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” With what? Righteousness—that is, the true expression of living. And we commune not because letters are written or because there is much discussion, talk. We commune because the same spiritual food and drink is consumed by all of us. When we commune it may be useful from time to time to write a letter; it may be useful from time to time to speak together. But the writing and the speaking do not of themselves bring communion. They may seem to bring some communication but communication often spawns misunderstanding. You say one thing and the other person thinks you were saying something else, and so there are misunderstandings. When there is communion there can’t be misunderstanding. What a wonderful experience. And when there is communion the light shines, there is unified radiation, and this is the creative power by which transformation comes.

Transformation comes the way it comes. Let it come the way it comes. Don’t imagine that what comes should conform to some view we have as to what it should be. Whatever transformations come, from our standpoint, come by reason of radiation. And what occurs doesn’t have to conform with our concepts. We are quite willing to let it be what it is. Our sole concern is to let the radiation be present, that’s all. Then there is no need for judgment. There is no need for self-judgment. There is no need to imagine that there is going to be any failure anywhere. It is all part of the process. We have been saying this for years. Let it be, in every field. It is delightful, really, to observe changes. We can do that, if we can do it without becoming involved emotionally in them. We see changes going on all over the place. Interesting. Those concerned with trying to make changes do not realize what it is that is happening. But surely we do. There are those who take credit for some of the changes, just as there have been those who are downcast because of some of the changes. Why be either one?

What is happening is happening. We know why. Or do we know why? Is it just a theory? We prove out whether it is a theory to us or not by our own behavior, by what happens when changes come. There are still some pretty fancy concepts about what should happen by reason of the impact of the Emissary ministry. Everybody is going to fall into line! I doubt that very much. Have all of you fallen into line yet? We learn to take it as it comes, but we learn to be true to our own awareness of responsibility in the creative process. Judge not There is no need to. The extent to which this radiation is held steady and allowed to intensify will determine the speed and scope of the changes that occur. Don’t judge the changes. You know what is bound to happen. All the changes will ultimately permit the fulfilment which is inevitable on the basis of the creative radiation of spirit

So we share the creative process and rejoice. We see changes come. We ourselves are involved in these changes. Oh, isn’t that interesting. You can turn and look at yourself: “Oh, I didn't expect that.” What does it matter whether you expected it or not? Whatever it was, happened. We are quite willing to let it happen. We respect this Body, we love this Body, through which the radiation occurs. We leave the radiation in the hands of the One whose radiation it is. We trust Him and we trust the radiation, and hold it steady and let it intensify because we are not jerked hither and yon by the changes that occur round about. Our imagination of what a “good” change will be is just as ridiculous as our imagination of what a “bad” change is. The process takes care of itself, provided that we take care of our own responsibility in the matter. That’s the only thing that is in question.

Are we on hand? Is the radiation steady? Is the light shining, regardless of what effects there are that put in an appearance? Let us be sure that this stability is there, this manhood and womanhood is there, giving Glory to Father God and Mother God.

I just shared a presentation with the title, "Finding Calm within a Chaotic World."

Martin's words here sheds a great light in terms of how to actually do this.

Regardless of appearances as I continue to let love radiate consistently I realize is the way to find calm in a chaotic world.

As I so abide I give thanks and praise in glory to Father and Mother God!

I find this article worthy of several readings. Beginning with Martin's clear and beautiful description of how we move within the design of the creative process by virtue of awakened responsibility within us for the respective focus of Mother God and Father God - One Spirit "fused once again into the outpouring Radiance of the Spirit of the Living God." I was comforted also by Martin's words about letting transformation come the way it comes, without judgment or self judgment, without ideas about what constitutes failure, but rather staying present to allow consistent radiation to shine forth through us. So be it.
